I really hope that Arlecchino's kit has something to do with HP drain but instead of her own she drains the HP of the enemies around her to heal herself. I don't think there are any characters like that in genshin yet and that would be nice to see.

I also wish her kit had something to do with puppeteering, seeing how she behaved during the archon quest and the contrasting opinions that different playable characters have of her.

Hopefully the X in her eyes has something to do with her kit

His name is Xihuitl and he is a pyro catalyst, Ball player from Natlan :3

OK SO. I’m really really really pleased with the result of this new character. I myself am Mexican, so when it was confirmed Natlan has soooome influence from Mexico, I decided to make him.

Xihuitl is a “Ball player”. The sport I am referring to is a traditional game/ritual performed in some regions of Mesoamerica, what today is mostly Mexico (Guatemala and Honduras too, but I’m not sure in the specifics). It goes by multiple names: tlachtli u ollamalistli in Nahuatl, pitz in classic Mayan.

His name means comet in Nahuatl. I chose this name bcs I imagine his attacks as him blasting enemies away with fire balls, but as if he was playing his sport.

His design has influences from both Mexica (his clothing), Mayan (body paint) and modern Mexican culture. The feathers he wears are Quetzal, a bird typical from the geographical zone these cultures are from.

As for his personality and back story? Well, I haven’t thought much about it. I just know he is a himbo, leaning more towards jock. Also he would be best friends with Itto and be super enthusiastic about his beetle fights.

seeing how the stakes have been slowly raising in the main story over the last few years i hope the natlan archon quest ramps things up to 11. i've been catching up to genshin lore and theories for a while now and, even if i think this is ultimately baseless and i'm no expert so please don't be rude if i'm wrong, i think the fatui want to resurrect the 3rd descender and that will happen in natlan.

capitano beats the shit out of the pyro archon and dottore gets to work with her gnosis and the other 6 gnosis (the tsarits would of course have handed her own) in bringing back the being whose body and essence was used to create the gnosis, the 3rd Descender. this would, of course, upset the Heavenly Principles. I guess the Sustainer could show up, but i also think the Heavenly Principles has been greatly weakened since the Cataclysm, so either nothing happens or the Sustainer shows up but gets obliterated by Capitano + the resurrected Descender (or by Columbina. god i want to see that little damselle be terryfying, i dont think we'll see her in natlan tho). the point is that if the sustainer shows up she'll get folded like a chair. at least thats my theory. its not an educated guess, it's just what i wish would happen lol

anyway genshin is brainrotting me once again so you can expect this blog to feature more genshin than nikke or the other gachas i've tried to get into this week (hsr and path to nowere to be specific)

So Natlan is officially probably mostly African. I’m preparing now because Hoyo will fuck this up. I’m not sure how, but they will and I will have to see non black people be racist like 14 year olds given an n-word pass. Do I have to interact? No. Unlike Sumeru though, this will be personal and I like insulting racists. I’m placing bets.

Quick question for my fellow Genshin players. Has anyone ever thought about what an 8th nation would look like on Teyvat? Like what cultures would they be based off? I mean, wouldn’t it cool to see a nation that’s based off Korea or Poland or Medieval Mali? Or is that just me? Share your thoughts.

Considering that we're gonna be entering Natlan in the next nation of genshin. I have a few words I wanna say on it.

On one hand, I'm so happy we're finally gonna see Capitano and learn about all the new lore, ect!

But on the other hand, I'm really nervous on what hoyoverse is going to be doing with the people in the nation considering the treatment with Sumeru and the fact that Natlan is inspired off of West African cultures and Latin America.

But considering the character designs of Vannessa and Iansan, I have some(what) faith in hoyo (fingers crossed!)

Dude I had a dream and in that dream I visited Natlan and it was like made of volcanic stuff and it had lava streams. It was so cool but it was like dusty and stuff so it made me like cough. It was so fricking cool.

Since I made my own version of the Dendro Archon here's my take on the Tsaritsa, Pyro Archon, and Hydro Archon

Our fair lady, the Tsaritsa.

Just basing on the fact that her title is basically being royalty I wanted to give her a sort of regal appearance. i don't have a name for her yet but her human form always seems sad and the people of snezhnaya don't fully know why. she's the archon of love! she wears the mask more often than not. she's friends/allies with Mersana!

pyro female and male hydro because that's not usually the genders related to those elements. so i heard that hydro is justice and usually justice characters have covered eyes so i gave him that. these two aren't close with any of the other archons. also they both believe that celestia was right in destroying Khaenri'ah.

pyro archon lives for war and plans to side with whoever she thinks will win in the Tsaritsa's war on Celestia

hydro archon wants nothing to do with the Tsaritsa. and would fight any other archon with no hesitation.

honestly i don't have many headcanons for these three yet but that'll change

Pyro archon Thoma/natlan ideas because yes:

His body is mortal and thus is born and receives his past memories when he gets his "vision"

This is why he's called "the phoenix" back as natlan and he often makes dramatic entrances to reveal his return

For this reason, he goes by the god/goddess name Murat/a(depending on current body gender) so that no one has to truly remember(but most call him Murata because of his last life)

His return is always considered a blessing because, well, he always brings peace to Natlan(no matter what life)

The last person he told to watch over natlan failed and ended up exploiting it for mora, so Thoma has to fight a different battle in order to fix it all

"I may be a god of war, but don't wars come in all shapes and sizes?"

Because he's so good at people managing, it makes it slightly easier to fix all the stuff that the person he appointed did

Natlan is a main producer of certain meats, mainly animals that withstand heat well(but the meat is really good because of how long you have to cook it)

Most of Natlan's trade is in "heat/fire stones", which Sneznaya receives the most of. Their use is that you put them in a fire and then when the fire dies out, you can put them in metal dishes around your home to keep it warm

They only last anywhere from weeks to years before completely dying(depending on how big they are) but the heat itself(which is why sneznhaya needs a constant supply) can last up to 24 hours
