taking on the daunting (horrible) task of downloading and compiling most of the yume 2kki songs off the wiki since the only real complete easy-to-listen-to resource for them is an incomplete youtube playlist with: 1 a lot of repeat songs 2 some songs only existing as 10+ minute extensions
and it is mind-numbinggggg i've been at this for days and i'm only at 750 out of 1200-ish songs, i haven't even been downloading all of them because if i did that's an extra 2000 songs to flip through for what i'm going to use them for
although, WHO THE HELL EDITEd IN FADE INS AND OUTS TO THE SOUND FILES THAT CLEARLY ARENT PART OF THE SONG WHY THEY DONT HAVE FADES WHEN THEY LOOP IN THE FILE AND THERe ARE COPY FILES OF THE SAME SONG AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS WHICH DONT HAVE THE FADES I HAVE TO KEEP EDITING THEM OUT WHY DID YOU DO THIS
#pointless rambles#the fades are also a problem for the youtube uploads (source: had to edit them out before i gave up and looked for another ost upload) so??#did they just like?? take them from the youtube uploads instead of the files??#you can edit the song speeds in audacity and they sound the exact same as the in-game speed edits? w h y???#on the brighter side the most merciful thing i learned this week is that vlc media player can convert file types#so i don't either have to fight those 'convert online' websites with a vpn or cry and export thousands of songs in audacity for days

Repair or Fix Corrupted OST Files in Outlook 2019
In Outlook 2016, an OST file might get corrupted due to multiple causes, such as unexpected power loss, virus attack, shutting down the computer improperly, or due to large file sizes. To avoid these scenarios, regularly perform data backup, use an uninterruptible power supply, ensure timely installs of software updates, and do not go beyond the permissible file size. For effective resolution of corrupted OST files, consider using WebbyAcad OST File Converter. This tool not only repairs corrupted OST files but also allows for seamless export to PST format, ensuring your data is accessible and intact. It’s a reliable solution for users facing OST file errors in Outlook.

I'm honored to be asked again by the developers of Mouthwashing to create this video following the Steam Awards. While the game may not have won, its journey and the incredible community behind it are worth celebrating!
Please note that this video and voices are not canon to the game. It’s just a little something to show appreciation for the amazing Mouthwashing fandom!
(Btw I had to export this video at 480p to fit Tumblr's upload limits. If you'd like to watch it in glorious 1440p, you can check it out on YouTube here!)

Every time N and Uzi's theme plays-
I tried to get every clip of whenever the melody of "Falling... for you??" in Murder Drones
Aha- the first instance of "Falling... for you??" wasn't in Cabin Fever, it was actually in The Promening!
Sorry for the bad video quality- something happened in exporting the videos and they kinda look like that-
I'm just someone who has too much free time and saw there was no video of every instance of Nuzi's theme-
I do not own Murder Drones or its music.
Murder Drones belongs to Liam Vickers and Glitch Productions and the OST belongs to AJ DiSpirito.

how do you usually go about making a song? I've been wanting to try it out, but have never ended up finishing anything. (。•́︿•̀。)
my usual process goes: 1. lay out basic composition and chords (i use hookpad to do this) 2. export chord midis and import into DAW i use (logic pro) 3. mess with samples and vsts until something sounds good..... 4. import instrumental into synthv and figure out topline 5. cry for several months over trying to write lyrics 6. ???????? 7. song i genuinely recommend hookpad/hooktheory for beginners or for figuring out chords, you can look up artists in their theorytab database and look at user-submitted chords for songs you like! don't be afraid to reference chords of things you enjoy. salt wound routine and my other wips i'm working on reference a lot of chords from songs i like (namely touhou ost lol). i forget which specific songs though LOL

Today's environments of racialized confinement built on yesterday's colonial plantation.
Excerpt:
---
[I]t was not simply the enclosing of Malaya's landscape that led to the conditions, framework, and systems of power [...]. [While] enclosure [...] functioned [...] to map and codify the landscape but also to dispossess [...], confinement worked to separate those groups into narrowly prescribed spatial categories that were [...] policed by the state. In the case of Malaya, this separation was governed through race. [...] British administrators [...] weaponized [this policy] [...] with the resettlement of hundreds of thousands [...] into so-called new villages during the emergency period [in the 1950s] [...]. [T]hough British actions during the emergency certainly accelerated forms of confinement [...], the policies and ideas that shaped the creation of these spaces emerged and evolved over the course of the [earlier] colonial period in Malaya. The spatiality of [confinement] [...], in other words, did not simply emerge out of new Cold War military strategies, but was rather built over a geography of confinement established long before the 1940s and 1950s. [...]
The rubber industry, which barely existed at the turn of the twentieth century, quickly became Malaya's primary export commodity by the end of World War One [...]. By 1922, Malaya had over 2,200,000 acres of rubber planted [...]. [F]oreign owned [plantation] estates recruited large numbers of migrant workers from South Asia. Initially brought to Malaya under repressive indentured labor policies [...] [b]etween 1860 and 1957, an estimated four million South Asians traveled to Malaya [...]. [M]obility was a defining characteristic of the plantation labor regime [...]. [T]he infrastructure, living arrangements, and social amenities within the plantation were minutely planned exercises in social control and stratification [...] prescribed along racial and caste lines [...]. The Malayan emergency began in 1948. Following [popular outrage against British plantation managers] [...], the colonial government in Malaya declared a state of emergency across the colony [...] that would last for over a decade. [...] [T]he British colonial state accelerated forms of territorialization and land parcelization in Malaya during the emergency period [as Britain mobilized to crack down on leftist and anticolonial sympathizers].
These efforts [...] involved the complete reimagining and remapping of Malaya's landscape and social geography [...].
---
The British undertook this spatial reordering in a number of different ways. One involved the creation of 'White' and 'Black' areas throughout the country. In 'Black' areas, which in early days of the emergency denoted all territory in the colony, people were subject to curfews, food restrictions, and travel bans, including in urban spaces such as Kuala Lumpur and Penang. [...] [B]ut the chief way that the British colonial state manipulated the region's natural and social environment was through its policy of resettlement. Resettlement, which emerged beginning in 1949, was primarily - though not exclusively - directed towards Malaya's large population of Chinese ‘squatters’ [...]. By 1945, [...] an estimated 400,000 Chinese squatters lived in the colony. [...] [T]he British government [...] began the process of forcibly resettling the country's rural Chinese population [...] closer to existing colonial infrastructures such as railways, roads, and rubber estates - where they could be more easily watched and controlled. These new spaces [...] became the centerpiece of Britain's [...] efforts in Malaya [...]. [M]ost new villages were built utilizing a particular planning style that maximized the security of sites and ensured the constant surveillance and policing of its inhabitants. Villages had a perimeter lined with double barbed wire fencing and lighting, guarded entrances, [...] and a police station [...]. Inhabitants of new villages were subject to strict curfews and regular bodily inspections [...].
[These 'White'/'Black' and 'new village' spaces] were not the only methods [of] resettlement or spatial confinement deployed by British forces in the 1950s. In addition to the estimated nearly 450 new villages that British forces established in Malaya, there were also hundreds of so-called 'regrouping areas' created in the colony [...]. These regrouping areas, which included 'labor regrouping areas' as well as 'regrouped Malay kampongs', involved the resettling of Malaya's non-Chinese rural dwellers - especially those within the Indian and Malay communities - into newly constructed spaces. [...] [S]ome of these sites were simply efforts to resettle a commercial firms' working population - for example, moving workers living off-site [...] to 'company housing' on company property [...]. Despite this, the scale of regrouping efforts was noteworthy. In 1954, [...] in addition to the 68 new villages established by Johore by that time, there existed 87 'regrouped Malay kampongs' in the state. In neighboring Pahang, the numbers were even higher. In addition to eighteen 'labour regroupments', there were another 75 'regrouped Malay kampongs' [...] as well as 64 new villages. [...]
---
[S]imilar to how spaces like Malay reservations and rubber estates operated in the early colonial period, British agents designed emergency spatial typologies to resettle, confine, and separate the population along racial lines. While Malaya's large Chinese population was primarily resettled in new villages, for instance, spaces such as regrouped Malay kampongs were expressly devoted to the resettlement of the region's Malay communities, while residents of South Asian descent, many of whom worked in the rubber industry, were largely resesttled within or near their places of work in labor regroupment areas. [...]
[A] most striking feature of this new spatial environment [...] [is that] [s]paces such as new villages and regrouping areas [...] were built along familiar pathways and corridors of foreign occupation in the colony, closely mirroring the same [...] geographies that emerged in the early colonial period. [...] [E]mergency spaces such as new villages and regrouping areas were built alongside or on top of the region's large-scale rubber estates, which had emerged in the region [during British colonization] prior to World War Two and that, on a broad scale, had introduced foreign structures of power into areas under 'indirect' colonial rule. This mapping on of sites of confinement and enclosure is significant. While foreign commercial enterprises utilized the introduction of new land laws to occupy Malay's interior [prior to formal colonial annexation] and to install repressive sites of commodity extraction and labor exploitation in the early twentieth century, these same locations became the spatial foundation for later emergency efforts to resettle Malaya's population [...]. In other words, at the same time that British officials during the emergency were accelerating notions of social engineering and policies of confinement adopted from the plantation economy, they were also using the geography of the rubber industry to reimagine and reorganize the spatiality of Malaya on a country-wide scale. [...]
The emergence and expansion of enclosure spaces - whereby the land was surveyed, mapped, and set aside for certain purposes [plantation labor, industrial extraction, and colonial administrative rule] - and confinement spaces - whereby the region's population was separated [...] - meant that, over time, Malaya's social and economic geography became one defined by partition and separation [...].
Colonial-era land policies and spatial typologies have continued to impact life in the contemporary world [...].
---

have you ever considered compiling a sample pack/have ever made one in the past? im really curious about where you get alot of the stuff you use and id like to also make my own scary wet meat anime girl music
i havent actually considered making a sample pack no but i can do something that in my opinion is probably more useful and tell you what i use and where/how i get it: https://www.sounds-resource.com/ you can get entire sfx and voice packs from a ton of games here and thats where an absolute ton of the sounds i use come from, especially the packs from MDK, unreal, quake, misadventures of tron bonne, xyanide, spyro, and very commonly ape escape and 40 winks.
actually here is a kind of "soundfont" (not an actual one just wavs of the dif samples that make up the psflib file) i ripped from the .psf's of the ape escape ost that im gonna ul cause it was a bit annoying to do https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rwsGC1Xf1ltNDgcbyAFODAaJOAEkH50j/view?usp=drive_link its not all of the tracks though just the ones i wanted
the acapellas you can find by just looking for kpop acapellas or covers of them on youtube or soundcloud, if they sound too clean you can try detuning them a wee bit by fucking them up with an autotuner, layering some white noise underneath it and exporting them at a really low bitrate (recommend using .amr or .spx especially if you have something like xmedia recode that gives you a lot of control over the quality - i've managed to crush sound files down to 2kbps with that and the effect it has on vocals is really interesting)
the other big thing is just my own tracks, a huge portion of my stuff for the last 5 years or so has been me taking a track of mine, chucking it into renoise and either slowing it down or speeding it up an octave and using that as a base to build off of (if its minimal enough you dont even need to change the speed), because you can trigger samples at dif points in renoise and a sample can be just an entire track - you can end up making it sound quite dynamic by just changing the start point of the sample and the entire base of the sound has changed. really you can do this with any music and i dont mind if you want to use my music to do this, you dont even have to credit me although im not sure how this might work in other daws.
i like cutting chunks of the beginnings and ends of squishy/vomity noises, layering rhythms, using really flat and lifeless sounding percussion, using long almost-unedited samples from genres that are very different to the one im making, i use a synth called jellyfish and synplant a lot
im just now realizing after ive written all this that not only does this only really apply to stuff ive made in the last couple of years and may not apply to stuff you're asking about that could be older, but this is not what you asked, you didnt ask for a whole ass fucking tutorial on how i make my music and i could not be more sorry, but this is the best i can do as i have started adjusting to some new meds and slept about 2 hours in the last 3 days. ive let you down and i will never be the same

To celebrate LOVESTARVED's demo being a bit over a week old, I've uploaded the first of the tracks from the game's OST to YouTube :D
It's the track that started it all x3 I was desperate to work on some music after finishing Vol 02 of Yandere Heaven for YanJam earlier in the year, and this track was the result, haha.
In my head, a story was unfolding, but I couldn't really put words to it >.< So I did what I often do, and tried to pull the feelings outta my stupid brain in music form xD Once I finished the track, the story flowed out after!
Not only does it serve as a main theme for the game, but also as a representation of the stages of hunger, desire, stalking, and satisfaction that Erys endures in a neverending cycle.
Random bonus fact:
Making this video broke my computer >.< or, more accurately, I blue screen of death'ed the poor thing by accidentally attempting to export the video as a GIF instead of an MP4 ">.> aheh...
I'll be trying to upload the rest of the tracks throughout the rest of July :3
Once all the tracks that feature as part of the demo's OST are on YouTube, the current version of the OST will be available to download! (free for supporters on Ko-Fi & Patreon <3)
I think I somehow managed to break the original version of this post, so trying to repost it >.<

WIPs and abandoned projects (March 2021-December 2023)
Info on each one (as well as what the songs/audio sources are):
The song playing in the intro and outro is Dianthus Nardiformis from the Dreaming Mary OST.
19: March 2021. Okay so this one's not actually a work in progress. I made this on my 19th birthday, the joke being that the singer just says 19 then it ends. I think I thought it was kinda dumb so I didn't end up actually posting it. Also features a sona I had before Cress that I never really got attached to, so she was barely used. Song is 19 by Old 97's.
Lonely Holiday: July 2021. This has the honor of being the first OMORI mv I ever attempted. I started this on a whim while bored out of my mind dogsitting for a couple weeks, and I kinda just lost interest in it. Dunno if I'll go back to it. Song is Lonely Holiday by Old 97's.
Numb: July 2021. Another one I started while dogsitting, and another one I kinda just lost interest in, but I absolutely want to revisit it someday because it's an idea I've had for a while and still really want to do. Song is Numb (Linkin Park Cover) by Robyn Adele Anderson.
The Artist: December 2021. I stopped working on this one because doing everything manually frame-by-frame got really annoying and I started to hate working on it. I dunno why I did the zoom in manually but it looks bad, lol. The entire MV would have been just this verse of the song because I thought it really fit Basil and Omori. Tbh I still like how this looks and I may come back to it. Song is The Artist by The Hush Sound.
Higher: February 2022. It's the animation meme. I actually posted this wip a while ago but I'm still gonna include it here for completion's sake. This was really just storyboard practice, so I don't have much of an interest in completing it beyond this. It's Omori Strikers AU (my omori x persona 5 crossover au) and it's basically about Omori's identity issues due to being Sunny's Shadow. The quality's really bad on this one, for some reason iMovie refused to export it in a higher quality than this, I don't know why. Song is High by SIVIK.
Little Sunbeam: February 2022. This MV would have centered on the omari au, and beyond this it'd switch to Mari's pov and take on different palettes. Doing that text effect made working on this very annoying and would make my art program lag a lot so I lost interest in working on it. I might revisit this one, though I'd have to rework the original idea I had now that my perception on the common omari au has changed lol. Song is Little Sunbeam by Eleisha Eagle.
Nightmarish: April 2022. This MV would technically be a remake of one I made in 2020. Same song, same color palette, but with a completely new media. Part of wanting to work on this is wanting to spread Dreaming Mary propaganda cause I love it and I think people who like OMORI will like Dreaming Mary as well. Also I love this song. I definitely wanna go back to this one at some point. Song is Nightmarish from the Dreaming Mary OST.
Keep You Safe: July 2022. Like Higher I also posted this wip before but will still include it here. I absolutely want to go back to this one someday because I still really like the idea I have for it. Fun fact, for those who remember this piece, that was based on this MV, but it's not like you can tell based on what's shown here. Song is Keep You Safe by The Crane Wives.
Four Walls: August 2022. Amnesiac Omori MV, what would have been his youtube introduction if I hadn't stopped working on it and then made When Am I Gonna Lose You. I think I kinda just lost interest in this one, though I wanna go back to it at some point I think. Song is Four Walls (The Ballad of Perry Smith) by Bastille.
Someone Gets Hurt: January 2023. Amnesiac omori again babey!! Animatic that would have taken place after he regains his memories, where he's basically really angry and lashes out at Sunny and Stranger. Might revisit this one. Song is Someone Gets Hurt (Reprise) from the Mean Girls musical.
Uhh some shitpost: February 2023. Silly thing, it's a shame I stopped working on it before it actually got to the main funny part. I dunno if I'll go back to this one. Audio from @/tylergaca on twitter.
Jealous: March 2023. Animation meme. It would've been about Sunny and Mari in my pmd au and the leadup to the incident. It took me a while to get that second shot right and I still really don't like it. Do wanna revisit this one cause I love angst surrounding these two so much I love them in pmd au GRAHHH. Song is Jealous by Eyedress (slowed down).
Stranger lipsync test: May 2023. This was way too difficult as a lipsync test so I gave up on it, though I still like the animation for it. Also this is a pretty good contender for headcanon voice for Stranger I'll be real. Audio is from Persona 5 Royal.
Propaganda: August 2023. Amnesiac omori au storyboard that I do actually wanna make into a completed thing. This is very spoilery so my master plan is to not explain what's happening. Muah hah hah >:3c. Also once again iMovie exported this in a really bad quality for some reason. Song is Propaganda by Kill J.
Alter's Rant: December 2023. One more amnesiac omori animatic for the road. Once again it's really spoilery but it's basically Alter and Omori's final confrontation. I have more done than what's shown here but I wanna keep it a surprise for when I finish it, which should hopefully be soon >:3c. Also this one also got hit by iMovie's low quality curse. Song is Eva's Rant from Bring It On The Musical.

Heat Guy J Live Reacts
While watching Gungrave I remembered this show existed. Here are a compilation of discord messages I sent while watching the show over the course of ~2 weeks.
Key points: - This just might be an escaflowne AU - werewolves heck yes - better women than gungrave - surprise "tomatoes in anime" research
do I watch Heat Guy J (26 eps, similar to gungrave) or do I watch Black lagoon (29 eps, sexy guns starring a lady) I'm leaning toward Heat Guy J for my grey haired man quota I'm playing Heat Guy J ep 1 now so far the music is good lol kill bill inspired or kill bill was inspired bythis? I don't remember when either of those came out wow the voices are so much cooler sounding in japanese they just sound lame in english but english uses less brain power so I'll deal I'm gonna play all these at 1.5x speed because I'm on a strict schedule wow the cgi in this anime did not age well
I think this show shares a character designer with escaflowne … I might have to get this soundtrack damn this ost is all over the place but in a good way I'm only 12min into the first ep this is crazy ok alan schezar
hey look, it's Chid Freid all grown up
shut up, emo dildandau
also, they call the don of their mafia "vampire" (that's the title of the position) That's pretty neat
I'm pretty sure that's just a simplified bra design but this is the 2nd time she's shown up and all I can think of when I see her is "furry boobs"
this dude [Claire] seriously is dilandau straight up psychotic
werewolf or werecat? Hmmmmm
WHAT prisoners have their dna altered so when/if they escape prison, their faces are altered to look like beasts That is such an INSANE policy who puts sunflowers on a grave wtf
I started Heat Guy J I'm just starting ep 3 Here's my thoughts so far:
Surprisingly way more interesting than I thought it would be
The OST is god tier imo
Character design is very similar to vision of escaflowne
the android design is unique and cool bonus: at least one werewolf
ep4 it is a werewolf hecc yeah
"Have you seen my bunny?" I think I found Van
oh If we take personality into account This guy is actually folken
hot
this irish jig thing they have for the fight scenes is really entertaining
the russian roulette guy is the werewolf And I'm going back on the folken thing He's definitely Van ep5 I think this will be the last one for me tonight
fun times
[someone else says: Heat Guy J episode 1: October 1, 2002. Kill Bill Vol 1 premiere: October 30, 2003 ]
gonna try and get the next 5 eps of heat guy j done starting with ep 6 alright what's with the tomato symbolism in anime this didn't just come out of nowhere in new anime and now it's in heat guy j
[someone says: So Google has no idea why tomatoes I thought there would be like some sort of analysis on tomatoes as a symbolic device in anime ]
No it's probably not that direct like maybe japan exports a ton of tomatoes or something?
like if potatoes show up in some irish show There's a lot of history behind that (because of the potato famine) regardless of how they are actually used in the show There is a reason Just like how english is always saying "oh my god" or why they say "bless you" when you sneeze That seems benign but the reason for it is because english speakers are/were predominantly christian
Nobody's going to write an essay about why english speakers use "oh my god" or "bless you" in mass media It's something ingrained in the culture, so you'd have to look in a different context (different from its connection to why it shows up in tv shows a lot) to find the answer you're looking for
I guess ep 6 is "the stock market episode" oh boy they're really hamfisting the lessons in this one already oh boy they just explained the difference between stocks and commodities they also explained shorts (without calling them shorts)
J just caught a bullet with his BARE HANDS and it wasn't even a special scene or anything IT JUST HAPPENED
WHAT dilandau is like "I don't want you around anymore" to his butler so the butler is like "ok" AND THEN PUTS A GUN TO HIS HEAD FOR SUICIDE that's fucking crazy just leave the organization It was a free pass
ep7
cool he's got a scar now also it was just confirmed that THIS ONE is a cat
Back to tomatoes in anime: https://tasteofculture.com/2023/07/17/tomatoes-in-japan/ not as in-depth as I was hoping for
but my armchair guess is it symbolizes a gaijin making a big change to the culture and succeeding maybe an underdog story that also happens to look pretty
I wonder if this is why the tomato is getting spotlight in new anime https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Science/Japan-approves-gene-edited-super-tomato.-But-will-anyone-eat-it
why do japanese love the tomato so much? :skeptical fry.jpg: https://www.bbcspirits.com/gb/other-alcohols/729-liqueur-japan-la-tomato.html
ok so [person] might be onto something with the "it's just pretty" thing https://www.ishs.org/ishs-article/100_10 this abstract makes it more clear that tomatoes were grown primarily because they were pretty. They didn't start eating them until the 1920s!

starting ep 10 now
alright Let's see if I can get to ep 15 I want to start a different series
ep11 was about mind control You know, it's been awhile since we saw the werewolf guy I wonder if he'll be in ep12
Heat Guy J is way more entertaining than the trailer made it seem but there's no real over-arching plot so I'm kind of bored of it now But not bored enough of it that I am ok abandoning it without finishing HELL YEAH WEREWOLF GUY IS IN THIS ONE oh lame they reused the animation from the other episode 😔
ep13 (yay) if I could finish this series today, that would be cool idk if I can keep focused on it much longer though I actually kind of want to go to bed… :reigensweat: (it's only 6pm here)
Starting ep15 The last one for today oh damn they legit destroyed heat guy j they just gave the main character super lsd
… j will make a full recovery damn plot armor
damn MC's (Daisuke) got plot armor from the super lsd too what a letdown
well ep15 is over and nothing has fundamentally changed I'm going to bed I guess And by "Bed" i mean laying down and browsing reddit on my phone til I fall asleep
ok let's see if I can get through 16 - 20 of heat guy j tonight
ep16 MC's brother, alan with glasses, was shot and is in the hospital. I guess he doesn't have plot armor. Meanwhile, dildandau's organization tries to overthrow him because he's too psychotic I wasn't paying much attention, I'm not sure if it succeeded or not
ep17 continues this plot MC & J leave the city and MC smells clean air and grass for the first time He doesn't like nature smells one random side character is the voice of those toonami music video narrator's (outlaw star narrator?) and it's sooo weird
hell yeah werewolf is back werewolf guy aka van is actually just a deus ex He only appeared for 5 seconds to make plot armor for MC 😩 ep18 MC got fired from the special unit. So he and J are now no longer partners alan is out of the hospital I think MC is going after the gang organization that dildandau used to be head of. is currently head of? It's still confusing
ok looks like dildandau is uhhh not present mentally and is maybe on the run So I guess the coup succeeded lol dildandau's character name is claire rival crime gangs are all after claire because they need his eyes to defeat some retinal scanner to access a ton of gold
J has been re-activated to be the plot armor for MC, who happens to be in the same room as clair currently while this gang war is going on yadda yadda somehow MC got the special unit formed again ep19 MC trying to recruit werewolf to the new special unit oh werewolf history episode yay
werewolf joined them yay ep20 Probably the last one before bed tonight There's 26 eps total, so maybe I can finish it tomorrow ep20 today we learn lightsabers just casually exist in this universe oh There's also an evil clone of J apparently
the evil J is trying to kill the MCs but normal J is nowhere to be found I wonder why that is oh there he is finally J vs J battle has commenced J is so OP evil J is dead now ehhhh let's watch ep 21, then call it some random side character has lost his black cat, named juliet aaaand now he's dead
juliet sees it And with his dying breath, he reaches for the cat "I have to make sure that you get home" Sad surprisingly powerful for random side character who has never shown up before oh wait He has shown up before lmao his name is romeo of course he'd name his cat juliet poor juliet
ok ep21 done bed now finish heat guy j tomorrow hopefully
alright let's see if we can watch the last 5 eps of heat guy j today beginning ep 22 this time the killer machine is A WOMAN! you know, this show has more women than the last one (Gungrave), which is good, but so far every single "evil" woman has been mind controlled meaning apparently women don't have the power to be bad of their own accord So that's kind of weird that it's happened twice now
the mechanic for J is very obviously in love with him I mean it was obvious from the first ep she was introduced but now it's even more obvious This looks like it's going to turn into "the beach episode"
oh shit, the island's owned by sephiroth! 😂
ep 23 There's a reoccuring small girl photographer character. She sells photos from a carriage on the street with a mule. So we start this ep with her carriage (which is also her house) burning to the ground girl is stoic, mom is crying and sobbing Girl says "Darn. I forgot my camera. I bet I could've sold a photo of this to the news for some money"
monica (the girl) now lives with the special squad and she is spitting some straight facts J has agreed to pretend to be monica's dad She is using him as a stage performer so she can get money LOL Now she's using him to gamble haha
so you're telling me that in all the years MC has been carrying this bullet pendant around his neck, he never once tried to open it? give me a break Monica opened it and found a memory card inside which is a thing MC needed to solve a crime anyway, ep24 time woman assassin! is she acting of her own accord though? Let's find out
Turns out MC's brother, Alan (actually named Shun) was the evil one all along! Oh Female assassin is actually J's technician! womp womp and shun just killed her sad trombone.mp3 and now he's controlling J!
oh no.jpg
ep25 begins (second to last episode) claire/dildandau makes a triumphant return, to tell MC his brother is the one behind this! Because MC was too dumb to figure it out himself for some reason rather than MC fighting J, beautiful werewolf deus ex appears out of nowhere and forces J into sleep mode
something weird is happening with alan's voice I'm predicting he is actually an android as well Let's see if this bet pays off dildandau got his organization back
same face syndrome killed me the assassin was shun/alan's assistant, not J's technician time to start the final ep, ep26
this is dumb the anime is too episodic now what do I want to watch next? (even though ep26 is still going on in the background) - High Card - Link Click season 2 - Blood Blockade Battlefront - Grenadier - Noein - Black Lagoon
Currently I am interested in lots of guns and gray haired men idk which is more important so maybe a good 50/50 ratio is perfect 🤔 well if we go in download date order, I should do Black Lagoon next… MC to evil brother: "The only think I'm here to kill… Is your anger" 😂
plot armor is in full effect in this episode now there's fireworks because some random deus ex kills everyone that mattered to the coup evil brother tries to kill himself nothing matters evil brother is not an android sad evil brother does not die and decides to not be evil anymore they gave him amnesty This has less stakes than an MCU movie MC goes on a kino's journey without J series ends super lame I am going to make a very nonsensical decision and start High Card next oh no its japanese with subs only! 😩 I don't want to deal with that right now Guess I'll go with Black Lagoon
I finished Heat Guy J It's too episodic for my tastes Also the plot armor was super thick I have started Black Lagoon I'm on ep9 currently It's much better (Heat Guy J OST was still amazing though) the only thing black lagoon is missing is a silver haired guy
well there's 29 eps... More than enough time for one to show up

local elderly girl sells stickers at a japanese food festival
not gonna lie, the entire experience is very emotional to me and it's been a month but moon channel's vid essay about cool japan, and the release of smt5 vengeance (lol) inspired me

tldr: i made some stickers, got real existential about it, will keep making more c: if youd like to check them out, here's a link
ive always wanted to draw, i used to say i was gonna become a painter or a fashion designer when i grew up. none of that happened, but i did go to film school. my final project was a script for an animated short highly inspired by nbc hannibal, majora's mask (i know, it was 2016, it makes sense to me lol) and a huge loss in my life from which i havent fully recovered, 10 years later.
the point is, ive always been art adjacent but i never really drew, until i got inspired by_hannibal itself_, noel fielding, kylux (LOL) and a roommate who was who was really inspired by art youtubers like frannerd and drew around the house, so i picked up a pencil and started drawing hannigram fanart bc i was so insanely in love with that show lol i remember who i was before i drew. i spent my days reading and watching tv, bc i love stories and stuff, but i was a consumer. and once i got a job after college i felt so incredibly isolated and directionless. do i have a direction now, as i work as a """"designer""" for a company that sells a mental health app? no. but like demifiend was force fed a magatama and got demon powers (LMAO BEAR WITH ME I JUST BOUGHT SMT3 HD REMASTER), i caught the art demon (like steven zapata says). and i caught it bad. i spend my day to day rushing through my work and chores and everything so i can have enough time to draw in the evening, to do whatever, and sometimes the need is so immense i cant do anything bc im not good enough, my skills are fading, im worthless, what's the meaning of all this? so i took a chance and showed my work at an arts alley on a japanese food festival i was helping organize. mind you, i was juggling that with my 9/5, promoting the event, finishing drawings from years ago. and when i got there, nobody got it. people looked at the stickers and didnt recognize the characters, and went on to buy the stickers my friends had that were more current. it was all japanese fanart. we were there with the single purpose of baiting weebs like us lol
ive always dealt with clients, im used to this. but im used to business to business, bc sigh i am a corporate girly. and im a beginner in the demon arts of arting. i felt so ashamed people were preferring other people, that i had the audacity to think i was worth anything. but i stood there, standing still with my brain boucing off my skull wanting to leave but also enjoying the experience and hoping someone, anyone would get it. and some people did. to my surprise, jack frost was my best selling sticker, lol. jack frost, from the smt franchise, a franchise im so new to but i love so dearly. im 100% a poser, ive never finished a megaten game. but… it just speaks to me. and thats where my cool japan feelings come from bc, like i said, i was selling at a japanese food festival. people my age, from the country i come from, were exposed to dragon ball and cardcaptor sakura from birth. and learning about history and the atrocities of the japanese empire is just. who can you trust. but ive aways resonated with one thing from japan, and it's the way they portray sadness in their works. it's become a ritual since last year that i will listen to smtv's ost when im on my period bc it literally brings me back to life. no one but i know how many times ive drawn goro majima and taiga saejima bc their mere existance and their sorrow resonates with me so immensily and i dont wanna see them being sad, nor do i wanna see me being sad. it's. it's really difficult to be to admit that im from brazil, bc our country sells happiness as an export but for many, many years the most popular genre is butthurt country music, and it makes sense, you know? people dont wanna admit they're sad. and i can only imagine what it's like for regular japanese people, bc we (i) get to see their big exports of bittersweetness… i dont know, maybe other people get to see that from brazil too, i dont know. the arts in brazil, or specially where i live, it's just isnt in the cards for us. but ill keep trying, you know. and i know fanart is a hack. but im trying. despite everything and everyone wanting us (me) to work for mining/metal/oil companies, make the most money, have the least health, drink all the alcohol (but call an uber), consume, reproduce and die, i. i just wanna draw tiny people, you know. it's. not that big a deal. all this to say that yes im gonna keep drawing and making stickers and, who knows, you know. these are stickers that i wont ever find near me, or that im too broke to get them from artists/official stores, so if youre like me, here's some pdfs in case you wanna print them and stick them wherever c: ty if you got this far, this is a big ramble… but it's been years in the making and despite everything im happy about it c:
