That is until someone tries to kill her and her new friends, and suddenly, she's thrust back into a world of magic and the world of The Library once again. She also has to come face to face with her father and the rocky relationship they have. She is not alone, however, as someone is killing off potential Librarians, so there are 4 of them pulled into the madness of The Library. Who knew saving the world once a week, twice before a Friday is even over, would be so complicated?

...And What Lies Beneath the Stones

I feel like we’ve gotten to know Stone quite a bit up to this point, but this is the first time we get a more in depth look at where he came from. It’s interesting because we only really got a look at where Flynn and Jake come from. Not to much depth on Eve, Cassie, and Ezekiel yet. Basic stuff for Eve and Cassie as it is really all that we need considering it was all very normal and uneventful, other than Cassandra’s brain grape where it all went to crap. 

Who’s up for movies? Ezekiel, yes, just yes. I would love to have a movie marathon with you. 

Jenkins, saying not to leave Ezekiel alone in Oklahoma unless they want a disaster...man he is a Librarian too. 

I do think Eve and Jenkins are unintentionally funny. This episode specifically. 

Poltergeists. Boy was so ready to go get the ghost. “Except me. I never lie.” Ezekiel was so honest with everyone from the beginning and they still took sooooo long to trust him. He was so confused all the way up to the reveal of Stone’s dad. Then he and Cassandra were torn between confused, shocked, and curious. The playful back and forth between the ‘siblings’ was hilarious. 

I think we all hate Isaac Stone after this. He is truly a grade A bad dad. Haven’t disliked a character this much since Umbridge. 

Ezekiel just perfectly comfy in the back of the truck riding through the protesters nodding along like, yeah, you guys are right. 

Jake really should have just come clean instead of letting his dad belittle him and talk down to him in front of other people and his team. He’s lucky Cassie or Ezekiel didn’t snap at him. Ezekiel may not be fond of Stone at that point, but he made faces at the way his dad talked to him as well. 

It was kind of touching the way Stone was making sure Ezekiel knew he was there to back him up. That he wasn’t just sending him in on his own. 

Ezekiel skipping rocks while Cassandra gossips with Jenkins and Baird was adorable. Also, wait just a second! The thing took Cassandra’s shape, meaning there was some lie(s) she hadn’t come clean to yet. It even takes Jake’s shape later. But it only takes Jones’ shape once when it’s fighting Stone. But again, he mostly hides his stuff, doesn’t so much lie as avoid telling the truth if he can. 

Ezekiel eating popcorn as Jenkins gives the rundown? Total mood. What villain did that? Stay on point. Look Jenkins, his interest is piqued. Zeke looks far too happy to see Jenkins broken nose photo. Boy also had a point on if it feeds on lies, why not head for a political center like DC. Oh we don’t have those anymore. Ezekiel keeping up on if there are actually still cartoons or not. Cassandra and Ezekiel are probably my favorite duo. Proud and Sad, their babies are all grown up. 

Why do I hate this room? Because it’s a cage. Makes sense, Ezekiel, who has never been caught, is freaked out by the idea of being stuck in a cage. And again at someone or thing looking like him. I feel like there’s more to that reaction than we got and I’d have loved to have explored that more. 

I don’t have any lies. Do I sound like a Yank? I was recruited to MI6 after my first big score. Ezekiel Jones stole for Her Majesty’s Secret Service. I’m not proud of it. There is soooo much there that could be gone into more depth and we were cheated! There should have been more on that. 

Jake coming clean to his dad. I really wish that whole outburst wasn’t wasted on a trickster. He deserved to let that all out at his dad for real. I also think that if he had said all of that to his dad, he would not have been proud (which Stone knew), but he would not believe him at all. The trickster knew what he said was the truth, but Isaac Stone would never. 

Ezekiel did not have to tell them why he didn’t stay with them after Peru. He didn’t really choose to leave them. Stone chased him away and Cassie wanted to be on her own. He went his own way because he had to and it’s always been how he survived and thrived. 

Team functioning again? Worked out all of your issues? Ezekiel just looked at Jake and Cassandra to see if they said yes. 

It was a good episode, but it really did just make me wish we got one that went more into Ezekiel’s background from his thieving days a bit more.
