Charlando is the obvious answer…..the Max and Carlos haunting the narrative of it all…..them thinking the other’s a slut for sleeping with *gasp* their male friends (whether they’ve actually done it or not is redundant)……constantly seeing the other as competition and threat to their own femininity and their position as “best female F1 driver”….hating each other’s guts and yet having a strange camaraderie they can’t share with anything else. All Charlando is perfect enemies to lovers (or enemies AND lovers) fodder but it does become a thousand times better when they’re both girls and you fold all the confusingness of being a woman into it. Charlando are my go to toxic yuri FOREVER. @cherrari just wrote some excellent Charlando yuri, if you’re interested in consulting the tomes.

I also think Carcar would make for excellent toxic yuri as in you’ve got this millennial European woman Carlos who has all these ingrained ideas about beauty and femininity and then you’ve got this Australian gen z woman Oscar who probably wears cargo shorts and her hair in a ponytail with a baseball cap on her days off but is still undeniably feminine. They’re expected to get along because they’re women but they don’t really like each other. Cue the toxic yuri.
