I wish i can force my brain to focus on certain things. I have important things i have to finish but its so easy to get distracted and procrasinate and i end up not being able to focus on either.

So with making Lucifer eat his own eggs, it’s actually common for egg layers to eat their eggs (idk why other than it’s to give them the nutrients they lost laying it) but it’s bad to feed them fertilized eggs since theirs a chance they recognize it.

Also of an animal lays eggs and is a pet, if you keep taking the eggs they will find a hiding spot for them since they think smn dangerous is taking their ‘babies’ and if they are brooding, you are NOT getting those eggs until they get hungry enough to leave their eggs (though they get sad when they see the eggs missing.

However…they aren’t the brightest, you can change the eggs and they won’t even notice, you can give them fake eggs to nest as well, they can’t tell the difference.

So imagine buying fake eggs and slipping them in the bed, Lucifer somewhat knows they are fake, but at least your leaning him have ‘babies’ with you.

He thinks of it as a trial to see if he’s worth making into a parent.

He’s gentle with them, keeping them warm and rotating them so they are evenly warm, not laying too much weight on them, etc.

You even find a few under you by the time you wake up, he doesn’t want you to feel left out so he’ll give you a few, but he’s keeping most of them!

(Cut to you buying him a lil chicken egg he can hatch and raise, he tries to teach it to protect you but it keeps pecking your shoes)

Taking this down a less Mean Owner route, maybe the eggs Lucifer made with the reader are destined to fail? Like, Lucifer is a pet demon and we're humans, maybe the eggs can't properly grow. But Lucifer doesn't realize that it doesn't work like that, and gets all sad when the eggs don't hatch. Believing that it's somehow his fault for not being a good mate.

So I can definitely see myself slipping in fake eggs into his nest so he doesn't have to realize the real eggs has all gone dead.

Buying Lucifer a chicken egg does really seem like te best option. As he still gets the feeling of being a parent! I imagine that Lucifer talks to the chick like it's a real person, trying to explain how him and you are their parents. He scolds the chick when it pecks our shoes, saying that it should be protecting us instead. Trying to give it time out time.

If Lucifer is still really done about not having a chick with you. Adoption is still an option?? Or maybe there's a lay to properly fertilize the eggs, like using a different demon's sperm and then fucking Luci, so his bird brain would consider that it's *you* knocking him up?

(Man. I don't even like kids (to have, for myself) and here I am, brainstorming ways to give pet Luci a child because I want him to be happy. Maybe i am a simp 😔)
