Frank, if you could design a new cryptid, what would you make?

Hmm. I'm a little vague on cryptids -- the only ones I really know anything about are sasquatch and momo (that's the Japanese "long white thing," right?). But, as a computer, I would design something with no fur and no image of its "true" appearance, but that had very large, very hard feet (for very large, very soft things), that somehow gave off a sense of undeniable wrongness, and that somehow was really interested in people and their civilization.

What if I wanted to do more voice-acting, find the cadence of my character, and also narrate pieces of the most deliciously-written fiction that has ever made me laugh, cry, and throw myself across the room? I do this, this is what I do.

Here comes a FREE 50-page custom scenario booklet for BRP / Cthulhu TTRPG based on the lore of #fallen london, a.k.a. your latest unofficial guide to the (be)Neath. A couple of things to keep in mind:

Just so you know, the scenario hasn't gone through the whole playtesting rigmarole yet.

English isn't my first language, so bear with me if you spot a few quirks here and there.

While I've had a blast with Sunless Sea and MoTR, I had to dive into Fallen London wikias to fill in the lore gaps.

The artwork belongs to @failbettergames, except for a handful of images conjured up by Midjourney AI: page 3 (every single one), pages 9-11 (all the portraits), pages 12-17 (yep, all of them), and page 18 (featuring Chelonites, Shroomers, Blemmigans), oh, and also page 35.

The map of London on pages 4-5 has been spiced up with extra spots that may come in handy during a game session!

Having said all that, I'm super open to any cool ideas you might have to make this even better.

You can give it a whirl online on the Homebrewery right now (works best with Chrome).

But if you prefer the Google Docs route, I've also got you covered!

Oh, and there's more! I've started cooking up a complete campaign "Keeper's Guide" to go hand in hand with this booklet. Winter will be the time when we kick off play-testing for that one. So, if you're game, it might be around a year before I can dish it out, along with any tweaks to the custom rules to keep things balanced. Yeah, I know, time flies when you're having fun, right? Cheers to the adventures ahead!

Videogames can be so funny with the impact they have.

In Mask of the Rose Milton recommends a book – which is a real book by a real author, because @failbettergames are well-read nerds – and I want to tell Tumblr about it because y'all would get a kick out of it, but I can't because Milton told about it to me in an intimate moment, and I don't want to let you in on such an intimate moment, at least not yet.

Like, I understand perfectly well that this is a script, it's a story, anyone playing the game and making the same choices will get this dialogue out of Milton. But i don't care, it's still too intimate for me.

It's kinda like how I still mourn all the characters on Spiritfarer.

Hey, Fallon London Fans

...which is probably very few of my followers but hey that's how it goes. Anyway, I made a picrew for making custom Curators and I'm very excited about it! :0

I do intend to add more stuff to it later but it took so much effort to just do this much, I just wanted to get it done XP

Feel free to send me suggestions for it though, even if they'll take a while! (Also if there's any art errors, let me know about that also please.)

Curators are a species made by @failbettergames and featured in their browser game Fallen London, (which I highly recommend,) as well as two of their other games in the same universe, Sunless Seas and Sunless Skies. They are kind of hidden and secret though so if you don't know them this is technically kind of a spoiler, sorry XP
