Remember how officials and public figures forced your loved ones to die alone, locked you in your home for months or years, divided your family and friends, kept your kids out of school, closed your churches, forced you to wear a pointless face diaper, filled skate parks with sand, closed playgrounds, prevented people from buying seeds at the store, shut down your business, mandated you take a vaccine that didn't do what they said it did and FIRED you if you didn't take it, and generally absolutely RUINED the last two years of your life because they were scared of a virus?
created through the survival show, GENERATION: AVOS, the group made their official debut under APRICUS CULTURE on january 9, 2014 with a lineup of five members: sanghyuk, carter, ian, romeo, and hwaseong. their debut mini-album, blues of sentiments, was received well by both listeners and critics alike. marked by their unique participation in the writing & production of several songs on the record, avos began climbing the ranks of apricus' best-selling groups.
within the realm of avid kpop fans, avos garnered attention quickly, securing steady chart positions with each release during their first two years. the group would officially seize the attention of the korean general public through their highly successful 2016 entirely self-written mini-album, DEEP END. its title track, CALL ME, debuted at #1— their first track to do so— and remained there for a record-breaking six weeks. subsequently, avos gained the nickname 'golden group' as their success within the general population continued to rise exponentially.
after their 2017 release, HOLLYWOOD HILLS, was used in a viral trend on the app musical.ly, avos experienced an influx in western attention creating a demand for appearances and promotions abroad. capitalizing on their newly-found american success, apricus culture allowed avos to release the highly anticipated CAPSLOCK project, the group's only all-english record. the album peaked at #2 in the united states while achieving top spots on european, canadian, latin american, and australian charts. despite their massive western fandom— one distinct from the growing hallyu wave, the group announced they would be pursuing solo projects after the release of their sixth album, *HER in 2020.
their seventh album, LOVE/LOVED, marked their first whole group venture since the conclusion of their world tour in 2020. the album was celebrated with the creation of their own sub-label, STUDIO AVOS, to manage both the group and its members in all aspects.
I wish people would understand that if I ask if something is “gluten free” it’s because I could die if exposed to gluten. Even contamination from it.
“Not containing gluten ingredients” is NOT the same as being “gluten free.”
The one fucking time I thought I’d be safe to get something at a restaurant because they assured me everything was gluten free… I very clearly got gluten contaminated.
I'm going to ignore the angst for a moment, and talk about the funny part, because Evan telling Mike he's "Too tall" to be his brother implies Michael used to be a small-fry. Just an angry British chihuahua of a child. Or, getting scooped somehow made him taller like those guys who got leg surgery in the pandemic just to mess with people. Like Mike went "Whelp, I have to fix my legs anyway, might as well be over 6'3 now. You know what? I'll treat myself. 6'5"
okay initially i was just referring to Mike having grown since Ev died and Ev expecting his big brother to still be the 14 year old kid who killed him, but that is SO FUNNY, i LOVE the idea of Michael being a short king so much. ESPECIALLY if Evan would have grown up to be taller than him,, the real reason the Bite happened was because Ev got all the Tall Genes and Mike refused to be the shorter older brother
This isn't funny, this isn't cute, this is infuriating, this is what will doom the Democratic Party to the same status as the Whig and Bull Moose Parties.
This is Lucy with the football territory.
Democrats always do this bullshit--now, it's time to call them out on it and to never support this zombie party ever again.
do you ever spend so much time alone with your own mind that you start thinking abt how you hardly know yourself and you LIVE in there, how is it ever possible to know another person. all those feelings of intimacy and friendship are all fake and you’ll never truly be understood or loved bc even if someone ever does “love” you it’s not real anyways bc they only love who they think you are
The movie I DID end up watching tonight was Session 9, and it was spooky enough to make me forget all about the failure movie. It had just enough mystery and unsettling atmosphere to get me hooked until the end. A story, characters with depth and personality, and twists. The soundtrack was also extremely well curated, and it also had some very beautiful shots; it's very subtle but it does focus on scenery and details.
My only gripe with this movie is that it took me a while to figure out which character was which, because it suffers from the very common phenomenon of Same Face Actors. But I picked it up quickly enough to get interested, so it's not a major setback. I'm mainly joking because I really did enjoy watching Stephen Gevedon's performance in this movie. Pretty much the whole cast got super invested in their roles, so their performances make up for any other elements this movie may or may not lack.
