Hm. Wonder what that Koopa War was about... Spike grew up engorging himself on stories of all the horrible things that drove the humans underground, over and over. Humans have a long, proud history of hiding underground! You have to wonder why we don't just find a way to stay underground.

Living on the surface just seems... unnatural.

Quick comic based on the Forecaster’s dialogue when he thinks about ‘You’, more below the cut + some details i wanted to ramble about

page 1.

- wanted to give the Forecaster’s psyker abilities some kind of representation, and ultimately landed on a snake skeleton for the vibes and symbolisms

page 2.

- trying to use this page to represent the massive, overall concept and ideas at stake in the weeks surrounding the second battle for Hoover Dam, contrasted with the small, moving parts that keep it going and ultimately shift the overall outcome

page 3.

- trying to tell something of a story posture and expression-wise with House, Kimball, and Caesar: Kimball and Caeser leaning in, invested in the game, with House leaning back and merely watching, with his cards facedown on the table instead of in his hand, as they’ve been long since memorised

- the chips form important areas in the game overtop a faint road map of the mojave on tha table. These places being Camp McCarran, the Strip, Hoover Dam, and the Fort, with the platinum chip sitting alone in the Goodsprings area

- the four handguns are the ones you get in the DLCs - Police Pistol from DM, Sonic Emitter from OWB, Light Shining in Darkness from HH, and Laser Detonator from LW

- the symbols at the bottom in the shadows represent some of the factions the Courier can ally with/help in the game (from left to right: Chairmen, Boomers, White Glove Society, Remnants, Omertas, Followers of the Apocalyse, and the Great Khans)

- the symbols on the cards further goes into the metaphor, with the ‘hand’ the Courier is holding containing the factions who can help them in the final battle - the Mk 2. Securitrons, the Remnants, the Boomers, the Khans, the Strip

- My courier, Zihun, has a glass eye modelled after a Nightstalker, hence the reptillian eye in the last panel

I woke up this morning from the weirdest this-fandom related dream ever. So, in my dream, Vash and Wolfwood were sitting by a campfire and griddle talking about weird meats. They had some weird meats with them, as in meats from different animals that they were planning on cooking and eating. Vash drew out a plastic wrapped package (vacuum pack, looked like my local store brand) that looked like a pork chop, but declared that it was, in fact, human meat. He'd gotten it from a little post-apocalyptic Noman's Land shop that specialised in such things. He said that, as a Plant, he wanted to try it to see if he was compatible for eating human. Dream!Vash? What the actual FUCK?!!! And so unwrapped it and put it on the griddle and creeped out Wolfwood, but Wolfwood understood. Something like that. And then I flashed back into my body. This entire scenario was one that I was writing as a fanfic on a public counter in some kind of cafeteria at an anime convention. Above it, appearing almost immediately, was a fancomic someone else did on the upright part of the counter that recounted the events of my fanfiction (a fancomic of my fanfiction) except that whoever did it made it more Vashwood than I had intended my story, ending it with Vash and Wolfwood kissing. At the same time, I was thinking "My fanfic doesn't deserve this, it's not that good. It's not like Sin Eaters by dragonofeternal, which has a similar theme done much better." Yes, I was literally thinking of a real fic I'd read in my dream! I commented aloud on the comic that "This is more Vashwood than I'd intended, but I'll take it." As in, it's not really my ship, no one that I see as canon, but I like people in fandom shipping whatever they like and I enjoy Vashwood when it's done well and makes sense, which it kinda did in this fancomic even though it was inspired by my fanfic, which hadn't gone in that direction. Cue some snotty twenty-something with blueish purple dyed long pigtails and a Goth look sitting around nearby looking at all of this informing me "Vashwood is canon." and I said "No it's not." And she argued that she'd read some very obscure comic where it was - and it turns out we had both, by then, shifted into Batman fandom and she was referencing some obscure storyline in which Batman and Robin had fucked like animals. I further argued that I was going by a very specific canon (ala, "Batman the Animated Series" - which was somehow Trigun now), but concededed that while I wasn't as much into the deep lore of the comics, that I wouldn't be surprised if Batman/Robn (Vash and Batman now? Huh?) was canon in some form. Brain.... what are you doing?

so! working on that fallout 4 Long Time Coming rewrite fancomic i mentioned the other day and I'm wondering how I should post the pages when I'm done. I've got the script p much done and half the thumbnails are ready to go (looks like it's gonna be about 25ish pages long whoooops)

That's right Beatrix, who doesn't? Our voters sure do! They pinched and squealed with you all the way to the grandest prize of all from a humble seventh seed. You went up against some profoundly tough competition such as Siri and No-Bark Noonan, but you won every single one of your bracket match-ups by a significant margin, even when it came down to ghoul-versus-ghoul for all the marbles. The numbers don't lie: wherever you went, people followed and rejoiced in your name. Nobody stood a chance. And now you can relax, kick back, swig some absinthe at the Wrangler, and bask in your ultimate victory.

Thank you sincerely to everyone who voted, followed along, became designated cheerleaders, and laughed and joked and fiercely debated throughout this whole thing, which itself began as something of a lark. I made this tournament for two reasons: spite for lesser and worse tournament blogs that either didn't seed their brackets properly or got called off when things didn't go the T.O.'s way, and determination to prove the simple point that every character is somebody's favorite character. The most unlikely of candidates became dark horses in the race, achieving unlikely success in the polls even if they didn't make it to the finals: consider Big Beard and Little Beard, Deputy Beagle, and our bloc of notable corpses. People were adding on to every post, screaming in the tags, and making submissions about why the most random characters -- characters with barely any discussion or artwork in their tumblr tags -- deserve, if not the gold, then your attention if even for a moment. On this front, I am more than satisfied. Thank you all for such a fun time, and check out my FNV fancomic @ikroah if you get the chance. There's lots of minor characters in that.

I would like to recommend @pink-onyx-au Steven Universe fancomic to my SU mutuals.

It takes place after ¨I Am My Monster¨ from Steven Universe Future. It deals with Steven's complicated feelings of accidentally shattering Jasper and the fallout of event. Because they have a lot of trouble communicating with each other, Steven and Jasper decide to use their fusion called ¨Pink Onyx¨ to understand each other better.

The comic really looks like it was from the show. It also has some good attention to detail that the color of bubbles changing depending of who is in control of Pink Onyx or their body language.

I suggest checking out if you are a fan of Jasper and enjoy her dynamic with Steven in SU Future.
