Setting the Vibe

One thing that gets me into the mood to write is some good ambient music. It helps me get into the vibe I need to let my ideas flow onto the page. In its own way, it sort of immerses me into what I'm working on, keeping me on track so I can bring the world I'm creating to life.

The kind of music that works best for writing are ambient tracks that blend into the background without drawing too much attention to themselves. A great example of this is the ambient music of Skyrim, which tends to dominate many of my picks for fantasy ambiance.
