#slowpractice under #performance conditions For #fastplaying passages I practice #undertempo with #tinybow strokes which have #stickysounds This prepares #qualitysound as the passage gets #fasterandfaster Here’s an example of a #practiceroutine I use and teach my #violinstudents learning J.B Accolay’s #violinconcerto in #aminor 5 videos: 1) Practice half measures with pauses. Include all #dynamics (don’t wait until the passage is learned to do the #crescendo and #decrescendo ~swipe left~ 2) Slightly faster. One measure at a time. ~swipe left~ 3) Slightly faster. No pauses. Don’t forget dynamics! ~swipe left~ 4) Slightly faster, still under tempo. Notice how the small sticky bows are starting to sound “normal” ~swipe left~ 5) Performance version. Notes are clear and brilliant as a result of training the small bow strokes. I feel in control of the bow. Dynamics sound natural and clear as a result of including them all along. Swipe back to video 1 and notice how I am using the same amount of bow at every speed! Well.....I had intended to run a quick 5-7k at a comfortable pace.....at 5k I realized I was running at a sub-5:10/km!!!!! - What sucks is.....as soon as I looked at my watch and saw my pace....I started to feel tired and slowed down!! Protection or Possession?
Part 1
Darkness was all you could see at first. You had no sense of touch, smell, or hearing. Trying to move your mouth to speak, you couldn't even feel your lips.
A breeze lazily caressed you as you tried to gather your thoughts. All at once your memories came back.
The plane, the fire, the cruel winds rendering your limbs useless as you were falling faster and faster and fasterandfaster-
Panic overwhelmed you as you desperately tried to move your body. Nothing worked and that familiar feeling of tears started to rise.
No tears were shed and it left you stunned momentarily. Were you already dead?
But before grief could take a hold of you, something feather-light landed on you. A strange sense of calmness entered your mind.
Where did it even land? Although you can tell it was on you, you couldn't make out where.
"He's calling us..."
A little whisper echoed in the darkness. Straining your ears you waited to hear anything else.
After what felt like a century that breeze grew faster and harsher. That little whisper multiplied in different voices at different volumes. The calm thing was ripped away from you and was dragged into the breeze.
That storm grew large enough to drag you in.
Your sense of balance was thrown off yet it didn't feel like you were falling. In fact you weren't hurt at all.
Different emotions ran side by side with you as the voices meshed together. It threw you for a loop and you couldn't keep up with the storm of foreign emotions and voices.
A regal, demanding voice cut through as the wind plateaued into a fast paced yet calm storm.
"Let my words be known to the anemo elements and my people. This storm barrier will serve as protection and a defense from all the cruelty that foreign gods will bring. Be grateful and worship me. Let your thankfulness power the worship you dedicate to me."
Your mind froze as he finished his speech with single sentence.
"The God of Storms Decarabian"
It couldn't be. There's no way you were in Genshin Impact...
Who were you kidding? There's no other explanation. You must have been isekai'ed when you fell from the plane.
If Decarabian is still alive then Venti isn't Barbatos yet and the Archon War is still going on.
You struggled sorting out your mixed feeling as the whispers passed by with the wind.
You were in your favorite game, by all means you were free. But what if you replaced someone important or changed the game into a worse fate?
You weren't human so were you a anemo being? Considering your lack of limbs and sight maybe you weren't strong enough to have a form?
A brief sense of panic as you wondered if you took Venti's place. But there's no way. You couldn't even see yet Venti was able to copy the Nameless bard's form. Plus what is the point of being isekai'ed if you can't marry your favorite character?
As strangely calming as it was to be carried by the storm (it vaguely reminded you of falling asleep in a car) you did not want to be stuck as part of the barrier.
Elemental energies could combine right? That's how you and everything else was making this barrier. Then maybe by trying to lure the other anemo energies to you, you could combine and become a anemo monster.
That anemo energy landed on you when you were panicked. Maybe you can call out to them?
Doing your best to relax you yelled out in your mind. It felt silly to call out for help in your mind but you didn't have any other options with no body to move. Beside's being isekai'ed is a guarantee to being a main character.
Right?
Thankfully you weren't dissapointed as the passing voices and emotions from elemental energies merged with you. Soon enough they were coming on their own.
Finally you could see.
It was strange, the elemental energies were barely visible yet the passing greenery glowed. It was so familiar and it took a passing glowing bird for it to click.
Elemental sight!
You couldn't observe yourself but considering how much smaller the anemo energies were you must have grown quite a bit.
"the trail of whisps are on their way with stories from the outside."
A elemental energy around your size floated at the same speed as you.
Whisps, whisps… Venti was a whisp! Venti must be meeting the nameless bard soon!
Eager for more information you tried to call out to the anemo energy but it merely floated to a faster wind current.
Internally sighing at the lost opportunity you decided to gather more energies in hopes to catch up with the others.
As you collected more you thought about what monster you should become. The archon war is a dangerous time to be in, you had to gain enough power to be something strong.
Beth the anemo hypostatsis was not ideal, you had no desire to be trapped in one arena. Slimes both big and small were just too weak. That left only the anemo spector and eye of storm.
Both were pretty good and since Teyvat is no longer a game they must be similar in strength and health. But how do you become a monster, especially if you want to be a certain monster?
Are you supposed to evolve into stronger ones like pokemon? Or are you stuck with whatever monster you become first? Do you need 5 of the same monsters to merge and become something stronger? If so which conscious will control it? Do we share a body or become some weird hive mind? Wait, will you actually drop materi-
Your thoughts were cut off when you gained feeling.
No limbs or torso but something that was best described as a core became your body. Finally able to move you turned away from the outside view eager to what Old Monstadt looked like in its prime.
A wall of teal blocked your view.
All the anemo energy made it near impossible to see it and when you could see a small gap the storm was so fast that it looked like a blur.
You could try to get inside but you had no intention of being trapped again. In fact the percentage of you being able to meet Venti and actually survive was pretty low, let alone fall in love.
It was better to get to the outside world and live out a life of your choosing. Human or not you still desired freedom above all. Meeting Venti might make things worse.
With a strengthened resolve you intensely observed the anemo energies as they bounced around.
Gleefully you prepared your exit as you thought back on their trick of using the smaller anemo energy to propel themselves before bouncing off each other for momentum. Using the small amount of anemo they could control they would turn themselves into the direction they choose. In theory if you gained enough force you could break free from the wind current on either side.
It annoyed you how unapologetic they were when crashing onto you, forcing a large amount of emotion or thoughts into you. Sometimes they would bounce off you hard enough that you slammed into the current. And damn did that hurt a lot, like crashing straight into a brick wall.
But that was about to change. You were gonna give them a taste of their own medicine!
Propelling yourself the first time was both terrifying and thrilling. You never got to go on a rollercoaster or even an amusement park but this must be what it felt like. You were glad for the lack of stomach, this would be horrible if you got motion sickness.
After a while of trial and error you felt ready to try the strongest wind current that made up the outside of the barrier.
The first, second, and third fail made sense. But after the 12th time you were starting to get mad. Even without injuries it was still painful and tiring to bounce all day.
Resting in the wind you thought back to your last attempt. You had spent from dawn to dusk building up momentum and it hadn't been enough.
As dawn lit up the region, you had a plan ready. No matter how grueling and tiring it was you were determined to spend a whole week building momentum before trying to break free again.
As the days went past you heard a lot of gossip and gained a better understanding of the elemental energies.
Emotional energies radiated their emotions and chose their actions based on them. It made sense why they were more willing to help the others. But for whatever reason they couldn't speak.
Talkative energies seemed to have a higher place as there were fewer of them and they were stronger. Despite that they seemed to follow Decarabian religiously and often take the emotional energies for granted.
You wondered if their actions and thoughts were that way due to Decarabian being the highest anemo god at this moment. And if they would change once Barbatos took his place.
Before you knew it the last moon set and sunrise began. With that you positioned yourself and launched off for what you hoped would be the last time. The sight of the rapidly approaching wall was enough for you to want to close your eyes. Your lack of eyelids suddenly became one of your most desired features.
SHATTER
You broke through! You were finally free!
Fear and panic started to settle in as instead of slowing down you continued to shoot through the air. Perhaps a week was too long?
You couldn't even enjoy the scenery as you sped past it all until you were crossing over what seemed like a lake to a large spot of land.
Immediately you recognized it as the land that the new Mondstadt would be built on. Just as you got close enough to see it better you started to lose momentum.
But there in the middle of the land was an eye of the storm. There was something different about it. Eye of storms are described as reckless enemies that attack immediately yet this one was strangely calm. Not to mention 3x the size of the regular ones.
Unfortunately it seems you were gonna land right in front of it...
Just as you predicated, you landed on the grass and rolled till you were stuck looking up at it.
A beat passed and you heard a low voice. "How peculiar, a mere anemo energy managed to break free from Decarabian and end up here."
It started to float lower and the winds picked up as it started to drag you toward it.
"You will be a good addition to us"
Oh god no. You were not gonna die the moment you were free. What kinda bullshit is this?!
Struggling you tried to use its currents to move away. Voices of different kinds were coming from the eye of storm as you were pulled closer.
"Decarabrian save us"
"It's so crowded…"
"I don't want to think"
"Please let me sleep"
"He's greedy"
And as the winds pushed you up into the eye of storm all the voices except the low one cried out.

First S.O.S. workout of my 10K program 🏃💦👍 - 2 mile warmup (9:30-11:00 min/mile).....3 miles at 1/2 MP (7:43-8:06 min/mile)....2 mile cool down (9:30-11:00 min/mile). - The thing with treadmills is the pace detected by my watch depends a great deal on my cadence....and I work hard to maintain the same cadence regardless of the pace. Holy shit!!!! 😱😱🏃🏃💦💦😊😊👍👍😊😊 - Today I did something I'd been planning to do for a few weeks...... something I kept putting off because I wanted to be ready to kick it's ass!!! - New 5K PR....24:33 at a pace of 4:55/km 😊👍💯.
