Father Pearse J. Harman for the character thing?
Father Pearse J. Harman -Ultraviolet
Favourite Thing About Him:
I love how he seems so calm from outside. The calmness and collectedness in such a situation feels creepy sometimes, but it is also fascinating. In addition to all the seriousness, he seems very smart and has great, witty lines. His storyline in the series is the most interesting one in my opinion (no, not because it is Philip Quast).
Moreover, I like him cold and slow maneuvres. He turns around very dramatically and speaks with a mysterious tone, but in a realistic way. I like that his character is so contradictory - some people are scared of him, some people are confused by him and some people really like him.
I like the Skunk Stripe - A small portion of his hair being white. I like that it is natural on the actor so that it looks natural in the series. I think it has a significance, cosidering that it is an indicator of excessive worrying and anxiety. It signifies how Father Pearse J. Harman is always in a battle with himself, with his inner demons, overthinks every situation, and generally is a very contradicting personality.
Lastly, the eyes. I like how there are many close shots of his eyes xD They really change shape and meaning according to the scene and the emotion the character is living and what is going around in his surroundings.
Least Favourite Thing About Him:
Well, obviously I don’t like the lack of screentime he gets. The character is very complex and he is not fully explained in a few episodes.
Other than that, in some cases he seems too sinister and too OPENLY sinister. The way he talks to people and the way he communicates feels like a villain more than a priest in some scenes.
I don’t have much to say about the things I dislike about him because there isn’t much to say. I like practically everything.
Favourite Line:
*Episode 4*
“Do I make you sick too?.... What is it about me?”
This line just gives me chills. I feel bad for the child and scared scared on his behalf. Dather Pearse J. Harman is looking dead in the boy’s eyes and it is extremely creepy. The way he asks the question and the way he emphasises some of the words over others makes me feel genuinely disturbed. Assuming that was the intend of the scene, it is acted brilliantly.
_____
“Thank you for your concern. I am spoken for.”
Enough said.
BrOTP:
I really don’t have a brOTP for Father Pearse J. Harman. I am leaving the poor priest alone for this one.
OTP:
I like their relationship with Dr. Angela March. I like Angela and I think they are a really good pairing even though they probably would not work out. Dr. Angela is a very smart lady and her past is very dark, which makes me wish her to get a better ending. Although she seems very professional, cold and determined to honour her husbands memory, I feel like she might have an interest in Father Pearse J. Harman.
But he is a former priest so- *lightning strikes*
Random Headcanon:
He hates when people don’t call him by his full name - Father Pearse J. Harman. I am 99% sure this is canon, I can’t accept any other outcome. That name is epic.
Unpopular Opinion:
In my opinion, there is a big chance Father Pearse J. Harman is an atheist. Well, he is a priest and everything but he somehow gives me major atheist vibes. He sounds like many atheists I know. Also he is skeptical of most things most of the time so at least he has questioned religion a few times.
Even I don’t believe in this opinion because he is very close to God and fights in the name of the Lord and seems hardcore Catholic and is literally a priest but that is just an opinion I sometimes get when watching him on screen.
Song I Assosiate With Him:
...
“Johanna (Mea Culpa)” from Sweeney Todd.
The 4th episode being named “Mea Culpa" definitely has something to do with this.
Philip Quast definitely has nothing to do with this.
Guess I need to repent.
Favourite Picture Of Him:
Now, it is really hard to choose. Plus, most of his pictures on the internet are really low quality.
I will go with this really charming piece of art by @mistysblueboxstuff . It is beautiful and captures his emotions in the scene so I like it really much:

Favourite media thing that PQ has done? (I'm sorry, but Les Mis doesn't count)
Ultraviolet. Because it's simply the best. I just wish Father Pearse J. Harman got more screen time because he's honestly a wonderful character who got very little development T_T

It’s amusing that Philip Quast played so many gay characters throughout his career:
Patroclus (Paris); Achilles (Troilus and Cressida); Grahame Chandler (Fix); Georges (La Cage aux Folles); Richard Bowden (Me and Mrs Jones)
As well as a couple of probably asexual ones: Father Pearse J. Harman (Ultraviolet); Javert (Les Misérables)
Let me know if I missed something.

Bed of Roses - TV Show - I honestly don't remember this one all that much, but he gets chased by a cow, and ngl, that makes it worth the watch.
