What are your top five television shows of all time?

This was not so easy as it seemed.

The Last Kingdom - it is obviously my number one. The story of destiny, choices, bravery and loyalty weaved around the true friendship of the main charackters touched me deeper than any other show has ever managed.

2. Merlin - the magic of this show for me was again the touching friendship between Merlin and Arthur, how it evolved from distrust and dislike into something so wholesome. Such a beatiful "enemies to lovers" story intertwined with all the important questions about right and wrong, duty and loyalty. And of course this show brought my first fictional love Gwaine. I just love fairy tales.

3. The X-files - the thrill, the mystery, the drive to look for answers beyound the reasonable and ordinary explanations, the relationship between Mulder and Scully - wow.

4. The White Lotus - just watched the first two seasons as soon as it was announced that Arnas has been casted to play in the third and I loved it. It's gorgeous. It has such a captivating way of showing that not all that glitters is gold, revealing the underlying dark currents behind all the shiny facades and laughing about how superficial, shallow, judgemental, greedy, jealous people are. OK, may be it's nothing new, but the way the show speaks about the themes it has chosen - it made me laugh and cry simultaniously. I can't wait for the third season and now not only because of Arnas but because of the show itself.

5. Midsomer Murders - I love british crime series and this is one of the first I watched. I love that the pace it sets is completely different from the fast and glittering ones coming from the other side of the big lake. I love how it takes time to reveal the relationships, to dwelve into the secrets, the tensions between charackters, how it shows the hidden currents of the society and I love it's humor and that it is set to go into depths of emotions and relationships not only between the main charackters, but also between the small ones you just meet for one single episode.

If there's anything good that came out of Marvel, it's the Loki series.

It is a masterpiece.

It is one of the most sophisticated and original science fiction works I have ever seen in this day and age. I'd even say it beats Doctor Who. Heck, it beats every other show I've ever watched. (I've watched some great shows!)

I definitely think it deserves more hype. (Or maybe I just haven't found the fandom yet.) It deserves to be on the list of ageless classics.

It doesn't confine itself– no, not at all– to what is already written. It branches out and explores wild possibilities and stories one wouldn't even begin to imagine. It's written to be itself, and it stands on its own. It doesn't need anything.

The characters are so well written; (and any author can confirm that, no matter how good your concept or your worldbuilding is, it doesn't matter at all if your characters are poorly written. It's the most major difference between a flat story and a great story.) the set, costume, character etc. design is fantastic; the filming is genius and beautiful; the aesthetic is well-refined, but not restraining; the storyline is original, creative, and riveting... I don't know how else to describe it to convince more people to watch it. That's really all I want– for people to experience the joy I get from it.

This is all coming from someone who isn't much of a fan of Marvel to begin with! It's truly a work of art.

If anyone wants to discuss this, please, I'm all willing. I want to hear others' opinions on it, too. There are probably plenty who don't like it for various reasons– though I still don't think they can refute how well-made it is.
