Would you be willing to give any advice about anatomy? I feel like it's holding back my art by a lot.

Tbh I struggle a lot with anatomy too, but I'll do my best!

Life/figure drawings! As someone who hates the idea of actually studying anatomy, I find doing some quick figure sketches, even just as a warmup, can train your eye to focus on form and proportion without you needing to worry about the details. And it doesn't have to be boring! @/zeet_studio_sketch and @/mmcoconut on ig have some themed sessions I use for inspo.

But if you do like actually studying anatomy, take a look at artists like TB Choi or these reference masterlists: x x

A big technical thing is balancing curves and straight lines. The two work well when they're opposite each other, especially when drawing limbs/the body. Basically like this:

4. Last but not least, consume media! This sounds dumb but I tend to improve most when I latch onto a show/character that I really like. A lot of technical growth can happen just from drawing consistently! (aka find a blorbo)

i wish i had a better answer for you, but i've actually never sought out any of my relationships on purpose -- it's always just been meeting people, becoming close friends, and then deciding we want to make a permanent commitment.

my qpp was my best friend before she was my partner. also, we'd spent like 7 years roleplaying a moirallegiance between homestuck characters. moirails are platonic soulmates in canon, working our relationship around that definition is what worked for us. i used the term moirail long before i used the term qpp and switched to the latter simply because my circle is mostly normies now KFSKDJ

with that said, the one place i CAN point you to is bumble BFF, which is a dating app but for platonic friendships. if your profile is loudly openly queer, you're a lot more likely to match with other queer people who understand qprs. but with pretty much everyone i've met who has a queerplatonic partner, it was less like dating someone and more like already being friends & going "hey, i love you so much. do you want to get married without any of the sex or romance"

Hello everyone and welcome to another Monday! Particularly attentive followers might have noticed that the website hasn't been updated for G5/6 R2 yet. I unfortunately haven't been able to scrape together the time, but I'll have those up either tonight or tomorrow! I actually do have the matches decided for G5, but drafting and website updating took time that I unfortunately did not have :(

No rematches today, so I'm going to RB the final round of the Unown tournament over here! There's less than 2 days left to cast your vote!

Also please let me know if you guys are interested in helping me brainstorm ideas for the underdog tournament! I don't have it properly set up yet, but it might be cool to have some conversations over on that blog about how we want to do it! I have a general structure in mind that I don't intend to stray from, but there's a lot of other things to decide on! I'll share the URL if there's interest! Again it's not set up, but organization related conversations are something I'd like to have publicly and collaboratively!

Just as a very quick reminder since I haven't spoken about it in a while:

Its sad that they didn't trust charles to be the leader of the project. Now they're talking about him learning like he was some rookie. He will be 28 when lewis arrive, in his seven season at f1. That's his prime

The story of an unexperienced charles learning by having a wdc teammate already happened in 2019. They decided to send the wdc away and supposedly were going to focus on charles as the new leader, but that never happened. And now they're selling this lewis move with the same story again, "a opportunity for charles" he will learn", as if time hasn't passed. Maybe it's because charles looks very boyish still so it's easy to sell the apprentice narrative.

Honesty I wouldn't be surprised if after 2028 max eventually decides to try ferrari, they will boot charles away without ever actually giving him the car to win and trusting him to lead the project.

Hi Anon! Respectfully, hard disagree. I don't think this is a matter of Charles being inexperienced/an apprentice, who needs someone to learn from. Charles is a very capable and accomplished driver himself. That doesn't mean there aren't still things he can learn from someone with many more years of driving experience (in a championship-winning car no less) than him. It would be the same if Alonso had joined the team. Fernando is a very cunning driver who has often used his seniority in driving experience to his advantage. To not see it as an opportunity to learn new or improve existing skills, would be foolish.

I think Ferrari also hopes Lewis' knowledge of how Mercedes operates as a team, comparing their car to the ones he drove for Merc, etc. will be beneficial to help the Ferrari team grow. There are many reasons for Ferrari to want Lewis on their team, that are not needing someone else to lead the project.

Time will tell whether I am right in my assumptions, but I truly believe that they are not discarding Charles as their hope for next WDC. They know that Charles is extremely well liked all around, he is a marketing dream, the tifosi worship the ground he walks on, and after everything he has been through (both in his personal life and with Ferrari), it would be a true fairy tale if he was the one to bring the championship home again at last.

As for Ferrari booting Charles out for Max... Not going to say "inconceivable", because stranger things have happened in F1, but I'd find it highly unlikely with the current people in place at Ferrari, and what I know about Max (which, granted, is not a lot). Let's not forget they were at risk of losing Charles after Silverstone, and they ended up replacing Binotto with Fred, who has a strong relationship with Charles (and Lewis for that matter). And then they gave Fred pretty much free rein to hire/fire as he saw fit to make the team stronger, (with some of the first people to go being those who did not appear to be supporting Charles as the #1 driver).

I do feel like there is a risk of Lewis getting credit for turning the team around when he arrives in 2025, when it is clear that Fred has been working hard to make changes since he started last year. And Charles's input is clearly more valued now. His feedback/suggestions being implemented in car development, strategy, etc. So I really hope that Ferrari can already show this year that they are making giant steps forward, and Charles can pocket a decent number of podiums/wins. Of course there's no telling how dominant the Newey/RB/Max combo will be this year. We may just be looking at another season ending with 23/24 wins by RBR...

first of all, he'd not be half as smashed up as liz was. he wanted to be cute and whatever, and his goal is. not killing ppl lmao.

so he goes back and gets a discarded unused circus baby faceplate from the bunker. its old and the faceplates dont move well at all (rusty and stuck together, mostly) but its not horrible. its also cracked a bit but. what can you do?

instead of wires and whatever i think hed want something softer to use for hair so i gave him some sort of fucked up string. its thick and fluffy but falling appart :( poor dude he also got other discarded animatronic concepts that william and henry kept in case they wanted to use them elsewhere. evan still has the claw on one hand but the other is an unnecessarily large paw (he cant exactly remember why at this point, but he loves bears so the paw caught his eye)

his outfit is just cloathes he found in the garbage and therefore doesnt fit well. and his torso is just the usual circus baby torso if not a bit fucked up by all the time itd been left in the bunker. its also cracked and rusty similar to his mask

his feet r just whatever he could find, but those wont even be seen a lot bc hes in the vents so who cares

the big paw is also one of the same as what molten freddy dug up to replace the rubber hose esque hands ennard had (not REALLY rubber hose but meant to look the part yk?)

as for evs relationship w cbby, its complicated. he initially wants nothing to do with the animatronic or possessing it, but when he sees liz he suddenly wants to seize control (hence bouncing between circus baby and evan)

at that time, there was still a pretty clear line between evan and cbby, bc of how hed avoided her n shit in a way bc he cant. he cant leave her lmao but he just didnt try to BE her. still while SL takes place the line does blur between him and cbby.

post scoop he finds mike and tells him about elizabeth and for a while michael keeps him seperate from the other animatronics bc yk, having someone he KNEW was his sibling and who KNEW his identity helped him and michael is the most conscious of everyone. and so he once again was aware of who he was but when michael and the funtimes both dumped him they reallty merged and it became unclear who was who (which lead to his memories getting fucked wehn he was rebuilding himself) and just overall hes weird and Not Evan Anymore. especially because evan being rejected by michael compared to circus baby being abandoned by william and the funtimes and that pain of being thrown to the curb causing anger in both that ended with them having such similar ideas and feelings that they might as well be the same entity

as far as interactions go, they really didnt interact much for a VERY long time and when they did it was quick and uncomfortable. but when evan tried to wrestle control back its started a weird silent relationshi

Circus baby did not want to get rid of him, she didnt entirely know what he was ("I still hear her sometimes" yk?) other than shed killed him and sometimes shed say things she didnt think.

evan didnt like how everything was going with elizabeth, so he wanted to subtly steer her elsewhere. however, between his own bitterness at her leaving him alone and inadvertently causing his death, and circus baby and him becoming one, he eventually began leading her to the scooper.

and evan is a lot more convincing than circus baby was.

who else would i talk about other than this fruit of a man.

1. he grew up as part of the valentinos, with his father taking him out on jobs at a very early age, which wasn't a very good idea - but he was the eldest child, and his father figured that getting him involved in gang business early would've been for the best. seb hated it, but was also thankful for it in a way, because it at least meant he could keep his younger siblings safe from as much harm as possible

2. he 'left' [see: got kicked out of] his family at 19, when he decided he didn't want to live the gang life forever, and wanted to work for a corp in order to get more money for his family. they [1000% just his father actually] shunned him pretty much immediately, and he was left to live alone on the streets for 2 years. he handled himself pretty well, using the skills he learned over the years to con people out of money and get by relatively unscathed.

3. i could go into sooo much more detail with all of that but then we'd all be here forever so basically; steals money from someone at arasaka, she is like whoa lol, gets him working at arasaka as an assistant, eventually becomes something of a bodyguard/intimidation device for people who worked there. they get married [not good], and then she cheats on him [with their boss [also not good]]

4. he understandably got angry bc of that, and when he threatened to quit, his boss beat the shit out of him and left him for dead in an alleyway, which is where his cyberjaw/neck cyberware comes from. the attack also left him with a prosthetic leg. if he was just some guy who left, none of that would've happened. but unfortunately he was a very important asset bc they were experimenting on him - drugs and other fun things that greatly improved his combat skills, and made him more useful. and if any of that info got out, everyone involved would've been greatly fucked over basically. and because they'd kind of fucked up by making him highly dangerous, the only option was to kill him. but that didn't go very well and now here we are 👍 i said i wasnt going to ramble but. anyway

5. and then from all of that, he slowly got back on his feet and became the leader of a small gang who mostly deals with fucking over corpos for people whos lives have been ruined by them - sometimes also helping corpos get revenge on each other, mostly bc it's always petty drama, it's funny, And they get a lot of money out of it. they also do security stuff on the side. because of their reputation amongst corpos, seb is often the target of assassination attempts, and always gets out of it unscathed. but he is currently being hunted down by a VERY stubborn merc who is the first guy in many years who has ever come close to killing him, so life is finally getting exciting for him again (^:< ehehehe

Hey Friendos. I'm gonna impart a little bit of knowledge on everyone about some scams that go around every few months, and that I've seen more than once on Tumblr so far.

Basic Premise: Someone messages you, sends you an ask, or otherwise shows up on your radar with a story. Often it's a believable story, like their cat is in need of surgery or they need to pay rent because they got kicked out or some kind of sob story and they're requesting you boost them or contribute if you can. A lot of the the time these things are scams. Like most of the time.

How to Tell if it's a scam: This can be easy. Look at their profile, look at when they followed you and sent an ask, and how many things they've reblogged, and check if they've made any posts on their own.

Here's some quick ones I see:

Everything they've done is all at the same time or from the same day. For example, every RB is from 8h ago. Maybe if the've done it before there's another day with like 50 posts all in a row. No one sets up their queue like that.

The follow and within a minute you have an ask/dm from them and they've never liked/rb'd from you.

They're using PayPal. PayPal is one of the most widely used money-sending tool for scammers as it's easy to get hold of someone else's account and perform further scams using it without leaving a trail.

Their cry for help is a single pinned post with very few reblogs and no verification.

They don't have any posts of their own, especially text posts.

Scammers don't like to use things like CashApp or GoFundMe because it's a lot easier to track scams, and payouts usually require ID verification. If someone is being legit, they'll probably have multiple avenues of receiving money. I'd use cashapp, set up a GFM, post about it constantly, and have my mutuals RB the shit out of my post by asking them directly for help.

Most of these are set up by bots in droves. They're a little more sophisticated, and are using the lessons learned from all those blank bot accounts you see come up as new followers. They've also been training you; "those random accounts are clearly bots and I'm talking to you like a normal person! I'm totally real and you can trust that because I'm using real words!" That sob story is meant to make you drop your guard. To make you consider that no one would actually try to scam people out of money with such a sad story.

Well there are people that shitty. There are scammers all over that have been manipulating your grandparents out of their retirement savings because they think you need to get bailed out of jail. Before that there were Nigerian Princes trying to give people money if only they could pay for the wire transfer.

Wire forwarding. Fake checks. Western Union scams. All of these things prey on our gullibility. Our sense of honor or curiosity or that someone made us feel special or wants to make us rich! Or our empathy and sympathetic nature, our desire to be helpful and get someone out of a bad situation.

I'm not saying you should think all of these requests are scams. I'm asking you to employ critical thinking, to look for warning signs and make a judgment call.

And if you're ever unsure, hit me up. I am more than happy to take a deep look at these things and give you my best opinion, free of cynicism. I've gotten hit by 4 of these in the last month, so I've got a decent eye on what to see.

🕯) this one’s rather difficult, but I suppose, go forward with the thought of not everyone is nice in this space, but not everyone is mean either. It’s a mixture of many different people all with a shared interest, and you’ll find someone to connect with over it at some point. And I think uplifting one another, commenting and sharing each other’s works, is really what glues the community together. It creates connections, helps the author feel good about themselves and their talent, overall it’s a very positive experience. I don’t have a lot of moots but the ones that I do make this experience far more pleasant, and communicating with others who share the same interests as you is precious :,). About anxiety, pace yourself and realise that this is not a race, it’s a marathon. You don’t have to push yourself to deal with negativity or rush to get content out. If it’s stressing you out, take a break or slow yourself down. You might find that’s exactly what you need sometimes !!

Orphan Black is like a fantasy scifi series to me. But, besides Orphan Black, every other scifi series I have ever watched was through anime though. Not with real people. If that makes sense. So I might watch a lot of scifi anime, at least enough to sometimes be interested in scifi.

That's fine. It's not like you can't watch those shows after Informa any time. And besides.. That might give you ideas for your characters too.

Really? Usually international apps like that are channels you'd usually have to pay for. If the channel is free, then I might look through some of their shows and movies to see if anything seems interesting to me.

Oshiage's crush was the more far away crush since she never seemed to know him personally enough to actually be able to crush on Yoshiki in that way. But Junko's crush is more of a stalker crush though, since she is always stalking Cobra any chance she gets. Although, I may be able to see her possibly trying to get the other Strawberry girls into a lot of them hating Cobra's love interest, I also feel like they're smarter than Junko in the sense they don't want to be involved. Or don't even care who Cobra's dating. So I can actually see that backfiring on her.

When it comes to their sexual preferences.. This is really how I'm even imagining them. Rocky and Cobra seem like they're men dominant, in a soft dom type of way to me. Where they treat their partners equally. But Hyuga seem more of a hard dom to me because of his aggressive tendencies. This is just how I see this guys though. And I am not even sure about the other male characters either. So this is how I see them with their partners. Cobra's dominant but not too dominant, he would be dominant in a gentler wat rather than aggressive (unless she is the type for aggression in some situations). Seriously, Cobra? Fuck you.

Although I can imagine Rocky and Cobra as switches during sex with their partners, I see them leaning more towards gentle doms though.

Actually! Cobra. If the woman he's having sex with is someone he has been close to, someone who knows his sunnier personality, then it's a intimate situation where he might be slightly more playful with her.

That's why I was torn between White Rascals and Rude Boys, if I even decide to use her as a face claim. During her blonde era.. She has this Rascals vibe to her aesthetic (in those pictures). If she's involved with the Rascals, I can see her having two jobs but not overworking either. Like works in a bakery or even restaurant (like Itokan) by day but then working as a bartender by night. Or she just likes to cook and bake on the side as a hobby. But that picture also gives me this feminine style to her appearance like preppy and chic styles. Gives me this romantic vibe like most Rascals give me too, so she might also possibly enjoy a more romantic genre from time to time. And since White Rascals is in one of our favorite groups, you thought the same thing I did, she may be able to give more depth to the Rascals characters that we've rarely seen in the franchise. So those are reasons why I thought Rascals.

But when I see her more grungy styles to her, with mostly earth tones to the colors. That makes me think of Rude Boys. And like you said... I was watching the first movie. On the SWORD map for the district, RB and SHS are the towns next to each other. So she can live in between those two towns. And even though she does know the Rude Boys are able to care for themselves since they were children, I keep imagining her still wanting to help them in any way she can. I don't knw why I do think that, but that's what came to mind for Rude Boys though.

I know the ideas are vague. But that's what I came up with at the very moment, if I decide to use her as a face claim. Except I am indecisive. I can't really decide between the White Rascals or Rude Boys for her... Maybe I should put some notes down, which notes seem more closer to whichever gang. Don't know. I'm still figuring her out. If she's used.

And I still have to work on Red too.

You have four characters now? Maybe more. Since we're talked about fire personalities. Are your characters associated with the elements in the sense of personality traits. Since Yui is most likely the fiery type.

I'm trying to figure out how different Orange would be when she may be in a situation that would lead her to changing into this new person.

I was curious about that. Since Kizzy is a woman now, she would be a woman protecting women (unless those women deserve to be hit in a way like Strawberry Girls should be hit for being stupid girls who have never seemed to know what they're doing). So that would be different than when men like Rocky, Koo, or other Rascals tries protecting her.

If Yamato attempts to grab her, then hopefully he doesn't accidentally touch her breasts. I don't think girls would like that. Most girls may be turning on them for the accidental act, and taking anger out on him.

I never knew there were creatures called semons. Interesting! So then are semons a new type of demon? I know, I know.. I'm joking. But that was a funny typo to me. So I had to make a comment about that too.

So Yui would be trolling Shizuka over his superstitious behaviors. And I can't say I blame her.. I would react the same way about teasing a lot of people who are superstitious like that. That's just me though.

i’ve only watched the one episode of informa, but it looks like it shaping up to be interesting. reo’s character is a bit of a dingus, but i like that in a character. and the dynamic he has with the titular ‘informa’ is fun.

yea i cant remember the name of the other apps i’d used for international stuff, but they’d required signing up for. hitv is a bit like tubi in which there’s no sign up unless you want to pay and there’s a couple ads between episodes. it’s unfortunately only got a small amount of horror/thriller stuff, but there’s a lot of dramas and romance shows.

i think oshiage and murayama could be decent friends if given the chance. but junko’s always switching up her personality whenever she sees cobra around. iirc there was a scene where the other girls were pumped up to join a fight but junko dissuaded them because ‘fighting wasn’t something boys like’?

i can definitely see hyuga as being a bit of a rough lover. probably bites in the bedroom as well. cobra and rocky are def soft doms, i can see them being very focused on making sure their partner is doing okay/enjoying it. i think cobra at least could be a bit more of a pushover towards being more submissive than rocky.

g o d cobra’s playful side coming out while with a partner’s he’s very close with/trusts. very much a post-final mission situation though, when he’s finally got the chance to relax and doesn’t have the weight of the sword rivalries and kuryu on his shoulders.

pre-final mission i could see him being a lil - unintentionally - rougher. not enough to hurt his partner at all, but treating it a bit like a stress reliever thing. (and his partner would probably have to initiate bc he’s busy brooding).

if the rascals area and the sannoh area were closer, i could see her working in both, like a restaurant/bakery in sannoh and then club heaven by night. but oya territory is in the middle there.

speaking of, kinda weird that dan (from sannoh) meets lala (from nameless) - which okay, those areas are close to each other - but then they? what? walk all the way to club heaven in the rascals area? through oya? so dan not only cut into rascal territory but oya too? (i dont think it really counts the same for lala since i think she was just regarded as a regular nameless citizen for a while, did she show up with the rest of the rude boys at any other time before final mission?).

four now, with maybe a small handful of side characters later. like the guy ryuko scars up and maybe some ojou full-timers.

i haven’t totally pinned any of them towards the elements, other than yui being fire (passion, strength, anger). but with a lil googling: hinami would be water (flowing, rebirth, healing). shizuka would probably be earth (grounded, solid, dependable). which leaves ryuko with air (intelligent, perceptive, curious). this would make a good edit actually.

speaking of symbolism, since ryuko is represented by plum blossoms and hinami is irises, yui is probably peonies (honor, bravery) and shizuka is zinnias (loyalty).

yui sees it as ‘women protecting women’ and is mostly cool with it (so long as kizzy doesn’t get hurt in the process), she views it like fighting alongside any of her ojou girls, but with the rest of the rascals she’s like ‘get out of my way, i can protect myself 😡’.

kizzy finally has a girl friend to party with at club heaven. shizuka prefers the quiet calm of a bar though. since hinami isn’t a party girl and ryuko is a lil naive about clubs and such.

shizuka is going on about some legend and making yui take the longer route home ‘just in case’ of kuchisake-onna or jinmenken. yui just rolls her eyes and goes along with it, she does think it’s kinda dumb though, but shizuka can sometimes spook her.

hi, i’m back as promised. my actual reactions are under this post (and it’s reblogs) it’s well documented 🤣 also forgive me!! this ask is quite a long one 😭

we’re in on it for the same reason!! 🙃 i discovered park jihoon earlier last year bc of at a distance spring is green and i was hearing news abt this new show he’d be in that his character strays away from the boy next door types he’d been playing.

initially, i thought the show was quite unrealistic (the part where they managed to successfully stop some huge scheme that was going on, yeah, high schoolers?? fr??) and i hate seeing that in shows that someone mirror reality but i changed my mindset, started just looking over the unrealistic parts and immersed myself in the found family of the trio 🥹 (big mistake, really fucked myself up there). also it’s true what you mentioned abt the violence bc it’s somewhat a peek into why people did what they did to survive in the hellhole of a school (or show lol)

i thought it was well done for something so short (minus the first quarter or first half 😭) specially loved it when we started seeing into the trio more? I LOVED THEM SO MUCH AND I KNOW THAT IF CIRCUMSTANCES WERE DIFFERENT THEY COULD’VE BEEN REALLY GREAT FRIENDS! you can’t tell me otherwise :(

about bumseok, my thoughts in the posts/rbs are not representatives of how i think of him today pls do not take me seriously 😭 i was just rlly mad at him and looking for someone to blame when i knew (or know now that) it’s not his fault. i think all he ever wanted was a place where he felt like he belonged and for acceptance and for ppl to look at him as their equal rather than smth to look down on. while i think he really misinterpreted the situation with sooho, we also can’t blame him for feeling that way bc it’s all his ever seen so far :( i hurt for all three of them but presently, i hurt for bumseok most bc i know that everything he did wasn’t his fault (it was his decisions to do the things he did, yes, but everything leading up to were beyond him).

what hurts more is that nothing will ever be the same from this point on and there’s no happy reunion for them (also weak hero the webtoon is more on sieun’s life in that new school). and even if they meet each other further down the line, i don’t think i’d like to be happily friends with someone behind my being a comatose and we just have to live with that conclusion.

like you, bumseok made me feel so conflicted, cause we kinda know why he ended like he did but also, a person can't just excuse everything on their trauma.

I loved the first scene on episode eight, when the three of them were together but sieun is left alone, because that's just how the show started and sadly, how it ended. and like you said, even if they find each other I don't think it would be the same because all of them hurted so much from that to the point that I don't think they're the same people anymore, would you like to see them back together? A lot of people want to.

who was your favorite character? What made them your fave? (I saw you talking about keep watching because of suho but maybe that changed)  do you think there was something else between suho and bumseok? I saw people take the whole situation as bumseok having a crush on suho -that would make sense because of how impulsive he got - but then some people took it as bumseok just wanting to be like suho and reading too much into what he was doing (kind of what you said) again sO complex

Nerfing the Steel type (and buffing/nerfing a bunch of other types)

As it stands Steel is one of, if not THE best type in the game. With stellar defenses and surprisingly good offenses, it’s no coincidence that a large amount of competitively good Pokemon are Steel types. That being said, I believe that Steel may be TOO good of a type, and could use a nerf (even though it already got one in gen 6, it’s THAT good.)

One of the best ways to do this in my opinion would be to remove Steel’s resistance to Psychic and make it weak to Psychic instead. Making the Psychic type super effective against Steel would help it to stand out against Ghost which is better defensively, while Psychic would become better offensively. This change also works surprisingly well sense-wise as a lot of ‘Psychic Tricks’ involve the use of metal in one way or another (Spoon-Bending comes to mind in particular) and I genuinely believe that this would have been the way the types actually worked if it weren’t for the fact that the Steel type was added during a time in which Psychic was the single BEST type in the game.

Admittedly though, this change might also make the Psychic type a bit TOO powerful once again, so I would also make it so that the Rock type resists Psychic, which works sense-wise since a lot of crystals and gemstones are believed to be able to protect from psychic attacks and whatnot. I would also make it so that the Bug type resists Ghost, so as to make sure that Psychic is still not overshadowed and to nerf the Ghost type a bit as well (the reasoning for this is a bit less solid than with the changes listed above, however I would say that it’s fine considering the fact that Bug is super effective against both Psychic and Dark.) Both of these changes would help to make both the Rock and Bug type more useful defensively and take a bit of pressure off of the Dark type (seriously, Dark feels like such a necessity on teams it’s insane).

I would also make Poison super effective against Water just because it makes surprising sense and that each of these types could use a buff and a nerf respectively.
