i'm thinking about hosting an mcyt-focused "art study month" in january, where each week there's a new "theme" for art studies/exercises to do, and you can compile them up at the end of each week and share how you've improved/what you've learned and we can all do it together!

i think it'd be really fun as a kickoff to the new year, where a lot of people are really focused on improving from last year but maybe are a bit directionless in how to do so.

i also wouldn't do daily prompts, simply a suggestion of different studies/things you can focus on each week and you get the freedom to adapt that to what you would like to do!

@sleepythug recently tagged me  to make a list of my favorite new-to-me films i watched in 2022! (Thank you btw!!) 

I know this was supposed to be more of a chill meme game but I took it as a chance to make a serious list and after some thinking I think this list pretty much includes a good range of stuff I was especially moved by/ interested in/ or entertained by through the year! 

also I know 27 films is kinda a lot but considering out of the 815 films I watched 777 of them were first time watches this is only 3% lol 

an additional note is that if I got hooked on a director I only put one film of theirs on this list.. if i hadn't made that rule the list would've looked a lot different tbh ...however that would've made it have less variety so I thought it was better do it that way and if you watch one and like it you can always look up more of their work ...

so... I'm gonna edit it regardless because it has some fun lines I'm at least keeping for myself if nothing else BUT here's the things my anxiety riddled brain worries about: -NSFT ( *I* want to read all the NSFT stuff but that doesn't mean y'all want that from me! the anxiety could be blowing the NSFT aspect out of proportion? I am not a good judge of this because it's all subjective and I, personally, do not have a very puritanical view of sex I am just VERY aware others certainly do) -Jessie is a WIP character! he's WAAAAY newer than Hale and I'd been trying to decide if I wanted him to be trans for a while now and I finally took the leap! and fuck yeah I think it fits him so surprise Jessie is my funky transman now! which means the NSFT would be p & v (source for trans info... I'm trans) so I'm gonna leave it to a vote! y'all decide what you wan't and I'll edit, do my chores for the day, and check in later!

Comprehensive lists/tutorials explaining how exactly to draw in a particular art style, such as the brushes used and equivalents in other programs or traditionally, or the trends in the art style and what you should try to do to mimic it for your own characters

I just think that would be nice. And really useful
