#feel like he had to hope to win with how he acted at yuuta

why did geto do so much of what he did in volume 0, it was hilarious but,
#like him announcing his plans and blatantly pointing out how gojo isn’t stopping him#did he actually mean for all the students to die or is gojo right at all in saying he trusted geto not to kill them?#did geto genuinely expect to win?? kenjaku said he could’ve but kenjaku is also. smarter than geto when it comes to planning#feel like he had to hope to win with how he acted at yuuta#but it’s hard to tell if he was overconfident or just okay with taking a risk that could likely end with him dying#looking forward to seeing how the movie delves into everything really#some parts are a lot less fleshed out or slightly different from the main story#I don’t think geto has to change at all but if he doesn’t I hope there’s more on him and his family to connect more easily to the main story#the movie is either going to be mostly accurate with added fights/etc#or it could completely change since it was pre planning jjk#I am hoping for more of the Cult™️ family since Laure is with Yuki in the main story and the rest appear in shibuya/various panels#there’s also the Kyoto students and Tokyo third years and yuutas technique training which could all possibly show up#it’s kinda fun this movie could be the vol 0 Gege would write if it was made post jjk starting#(saying this while not knowing how involved he is at all with details and plot or if he wants to change things)#jjk vol 0#posting this year so I can look back after vol 0 sorry to my 10 followers who have to see this#watch as my questions are directly answered in the chapters but I just forgot#it’s wild going from kenjakus major plan throughout the story then going to whatever getos plan was to win in vol 0#😔 got beat up by a kid

Playing imessage games with JJk characters
This is another request that I accidentally deleted, I hope the person who requested this finds it.
gojo, megumi, itadori, nanami, yuuta, nobara, maki
Tumblr media
Gojo Satoru:
- Gojo wins at literally every imessage game, except maybe scrabble. His diction is extremely limited.
- Playing with him is like getting verbally abused, if you have a degrading kink or something then I guess you have that going for you.
- I feel like his favourite game is cup pong, he'd probably make jokes about how he wants to throw his balls in your hole.
- Would win in 1 round most of the time, 2 if you caught him on a bad day. He would get 10 balls back in one round and absolutely slaughter you with remarks. Like this is exactly why no one wants to play with him.
- Would not show any mercy, he doesn't care if your his s/o, there's no way he's losing at cup pong.
- He'd ask for nudes every-time he wins. "For me?🥺" type of person.
- Would always wants to play 20 questions so he can ask you questions like "do it squirt?" instead of asking the real questions.
- Would argue that it is a "yes or no" question.
- Would block you if you ask to play chess.
- Send games at the worst times. Someone in the jujutsu tech group-chat would be ranting about something personal and mf would send a group crazy 8 game request.
- Got kicked out for that
- Asked gakuganji for this number and played basketball with him.
- Gojo lost
Itadori Yuuji:
- He's the type of person who would play the game but not wait long enough for the game to automatically send. So he'd be thinking your not playing back but in reality he just never sent it. In the end both of you just forget about it. This happens EVERY time.
- I have a feeling that even though he's good at real sport, man can not play imessage games if his life depended on it.
- His favourite would probably be basketball, though he gets like 9 points max each round.
- Thought 9 was good until you got a 23
- Always acts surprised whenever he loses, like mf what is so shocking?
- Least favourite game would be checkers, doesn't understand why you need to use your brain when having fun.
- Probably has a theory that the game makes your miss on purpose so the players keep playing. Considers it a casino strategy.
- Doesn't mind losing though, seeing you win makes him content enough.
- Sukuna would be so fed up watching him fuck up each round and would start calling him slurs.
- I feel like everytime Yuujis takes his time to aim and is finally about to release the arrows in darts or archery, Sukuna would pop up on his cheek and scare him.
- I see him as the one guy in school with an andriod who saw his crush posting "anyone want to play 8ball?" and cried himself to sleep because he had a damn Samgsung.
- Got an iphone just for that
- His favourite game to play with you would be 20 questions, he thinks its the most intimate or whatever.
Megumi Fushiguro:
- I feel like Megumis favourite imessage game would be darts or paintball. Darts because he's good at it and paintball because he likes the idea of prediting your next move.
- Like Gojo, I think Megumis really good at imessage games. Rarely loses, the only game he's bad at would be filler for some reason? Like he would probably do 'eeny, meeny, miny, moe' to pick a colour.
- Playing golf with him is like attending a euclidean geometry lecture, he'd strategise angels and all before hitting. Like who the hell does that?
- Would win effortlessly most of the time, accidently wins even when he tries to miss a few times so you can catch up.
- Saw the smile you had when you won against him for the first time, so every now and then he'd lose on purpose so he can see you like that again. Doesn't let it happen too often though, thinks it's better if you win yourself.
- Gets really proud when you do.
- That treatment is reserved for you and only you. Whenever he plays against the other sorcerers, he shows absolutely no mercy. Wins every time.
- Would reply fast to your games, faster then he replies to your texts.
- Wouldn't ever say no to playing a game with you, he enjoys it and so do you. He can't think of a reason to say no.
- Yuuji gets lowkey salty because when he asked Megumi, Megumi said no and when you asked him he said yes.
- Probably the only person who can beat Gojo at darts and basketball.
- Gojo has blocked him a few times because of that.
Nanami Kento:
- Doesn't understand why this is interesting to you
- Probably doesn't even own an apple, but for the sake of this headcanon we'll say he does.
- Would ask to play chess or checkers😭 and would probably win.
- Urges you to play board games in real life instead of on a screen.
- Regardless of how pointless he considers them, if he sees your in a bad mood or don't feel like talking, he'd send a game request since he knows it would make you happy.
- You asked him to play 8ball and told him that you want 8balls in your hole
- He blocked you.
- Not including chess, his favourite game would be 9 ball. He liked 8ball too but you ruined it for him.
- Would reply to the game so late. You would send it and then started having a conversation about soemthing else, sleep, die, get reincarinated and it would still show up as 'waiting for the opponent...'.
- Sometimes you'd play against yourself from his phone, he felt bad and lowkey pitied you so he improved his reply game.
- Would be good at golf, same as Megumi, he would take his time and perfect his shot.
- Likes seeing your face when you win, so AGAIN like Megumi, he'd sometimes lose on purpose- though he doesn't really have to try he kinda just loses.
- Losing doesn't effect his ego unless its Gojo who he lost against.
- He was the one who kicked Gojo out the groupchat.
Yuuta Okkotsu:
- Sucks at almost every popular game on imessage, he's only good at the games no one plays, like dots & boxes
- who the hell even plays that😒
- It's his favourite because he played it with Rika when they were kids.
- Played 8ball and was confused why you won even though he put more balls inside the holes. Doesn't understand the difference between striped and solid, he thinks your supposed to get every ball in the hole.
- He would miss 2/3 shots when playing darts. Thought he won in darts once but his points went in negatives.
- Never wants to play it again
- I don't see him as someone who would play imessage games a lot
- Does get bored of it over time, but if you ask he wouldn't say no
- I also think hes weirdly good at paintball, will always know where your hiding and where you think he's going to hide. Like Megumi, he likes the predicting element of it. Will win most of the time against you
- Definitely prefers real games rather than imessage games. He's down to play uno whenever and is actually quite good, but if you tell him to play crazy 8, he's worse than Yuuji.
- Hates playing with Maki, got threatened many times.
- Accidenly beat Maki at cup pong once, has been warned never to bring it up.
- He's the person who would LITERALLY buy you prizes for winning. like why you doing that my boy??
Maki Zenin:
- Matches between her and Gojo are major events in jujutsu tech.
- Refuses to believe anyone is better than her
-like Gojo, wouldn't really lose on purpose for you, she thinks it's more meaningful if you win yourself.
- If she sees you struggling she may miss a few times and give you a chance to catch up.
- But if you still lose she will give up and go back to normal
- BUT WHEN YOU DO WIN, like Megumi, she is so proud, kisses you and challenges you to another game.
- It would dangerously hurt her ego if anyone else beats her. Nobara distracted her so she missed in cup pong and Yuta won. Didn't talk to Nobara or Yuta the whole day.
- I feel like her favourite game would be Archery, has good aim so she would score high points.
- Least favourite game would be literally whatever Yuta likes. Got weirdly mad when he said he likes dots & boxes.
- Favourite game to play with you would be darts
- Rarely plays imessage games for fun, plays as a challenge.
- Having said that, she plays with you for fun, plays with others only to win.
- You though you were winning in 8ball even though she was much ahead of you, didn't want to dissapoint you so she secretly helped you on purpose.
- Thought you deserved it after not giving up and persisiting for so long.
- Thought that your happy dance was the cutest thing ever, might let you win more often.
Nobara Kugisaki
- Play imessage games alot
- Sometimes wouldn't even reply to your messgaes but would play the games.
- Least favourite games is darts, no one gets more mad then her whenever she gets bust and her point go into negetive.
- Threw her phone across the room and it cracked, said its your fault.
- Isn't that good at it but isn't terrible either. Could beat Yuuji but would lose against Maki or Megumi.
- Her favourite game would be cup pong, thinks is simple and easy, until she misses- then she gets mad and hates it.
- Would not lose on purpose for you, would lose normally so it wouldn't make a difference.
- Doesn't mind if you win but it would slightly hurt her ego.
- If she wins a round she would force you to take her shopping. If you win she'd give you a kiss.
- Slapped Yuuji while they were playing cup pong once, because Sukuna screamed and scared her as soon as she was about to throw the ball.
- Like Gojo, she would send game requests at the worst times. She's not AS bad as Gojo but would send a team crazy 8 game request when the sorcerors are coming up with stratergies to beat curses.
- Gojo though it was unfair how he got kicked out and not her
- Would brag about you if you won.
- Tells you to lose on purpose so she can win, gets mad at you if you do.
- Would always challenge people on imessage games knowing damn well she can not play for shit.
- I think the only game she would be a little above average at would be sea battle, and it sucks cause no one plays it.
- Would force you to play with her just so she can win.
- Likes playing with you alot, even though she hates losing, she would rather lose and have you win then the other way around.
- Wishes there were teams so she can be with you.

What do you think about the rest of the second year students?
If I tell you my fav jjk characters in no particular order are nobara maki inumaki yuuta gojo geto and choso and that i love them all so much that they are constantly shifting places in that line up to the point where im hardly ever able to tell who i love the most would that answer your question?
I love first years but second years are my fav squad by far i wish we got more of them and im looking forward to the movie so! much! More under cut cuz this bitch got stupid long
I love Maki so much, it’s actually her story line with Mai that got me actually invested into jjk. Like before that i was liking it but when i read that i was like OWO I NEED MORE NOW. I just love like....normal siblings storylines, like legit ask me about Choso i love Choso so much for this exact reason but we are talking about Maki now. I love how her background with Mai is very complicated and you can’t really call one or the other right. Like of course Maki has every right to leave an abusive household on her own terms and Mai has no excuses in wanting her to stay in said abusive household just so they can be together but you can also understand how abandoned and thrown away Mai would have felt at that moment. Like sure theyd probs treat her a little better then Maki because she can actually see curses but they also still clearly treated her badly and as a servant because her technique is weak. You can understand how she would have felt betrayed by being left behind by the only person who should have been on her side in this horrible situation. I just really love Maki and Mai and by god i hope they get to met again and talk and work together MAKI AND MAI TEAM UP PLEASE. I’m not sure can their relationship ever be really good i feel like there's a lot there to work through but i also really want them to start working through it. Aside from that I just love her cuz shes Maki and she’s a badass. I love women who are so fucking driven and ready to fight their way to the top when the world has given them crappy cards. She’s a fighter and she’s a survivor. She’s made from tough stuff, she has survived being fuckin set on fire. I LOVE her redesign its so fuckin good like holy shit i already thought she was cool but now she looks like 10 times cooler the cape the fuckin cape. Anyway i like her a whole bunch i hope her and megumi work something out about the zenin clan and id also like to see more of her thoughts from her about that whole situation. Because she’s not able to prove herself and win over the clan like she wanted to :(. But i guess that doesnt really matter anymore with the whole situation going on. She has already proven herself to be tougher then Naobito and by god i hope she puts Naoya into the ground, actually i hope this is where her and Mai will team up and put him into the ground together.
I also really love Yuuta, like he has the same soft boy protag vibes as Yuji but he also looks fucking depressed and anxious 90% of the time which just makes it all the better??? Like i love Yuji, but Yuuta has been through so much shit, he’s been terrorized by a curse of his own making for years, Rika had probably hurt a bunch of people because of him and like you can see it in his face, that dudes a wreck, have you see his fucking eyebags he hasnt slept in 25927 years and i love him so much. He’s so kind and caring and god if i dont love characters who go absolutely stupid feral for their friends. When the fanbook came out and it was like his biggest stress atm is not being with his friends i was like ;-;. I’m just a sap, I love him, I love how much he has progressed from this anxious stressed out kid to someone who can act calmly and tactically and even offer valuable advice to his underclassmen, he has grown so much! It’s just nice to see him coming into his own and becoming more confident into himself and his power. I’m really fucking sad hes gonna be separated from the squad again after JUST saying he doesnt want to be away from everyone again. Anyway his oscar worthy performance in Shibuya really fuckin got me like, the whole time i was thinking ‘noooo Yuuta wouldnt do this nooo its gojos student they are basically step brothers by teacher he wouldnt do this’ BUT i wasnt sure! I still felt like him becoming all fuckin feral for his friend was perfectly in character and also like really thematically interesting from the stand point of two protagonists clashing together. But honestly im glad he was just putting on an act, idk would my heart be able to handle villain Yuuta for long ;-; Another thing I like about Yuuta is Rika, like man I LOVE Rika, half of my upcoming curse!Gojo au is based on what Yuuta and Rika are. I was SO fuckin hyped to see her return like I was as hyped for Rika’s return as I was for Yuutas. Sure we don’t know if that’s ACTUALLY Rika or something else but god I hope we find out soon. Anyway I absolutely LOVE Yuuta’s n Rika’s dynamic like im feral for this shit. 1. Big monster girlfriend and smol human boyfriend 2. Master and servant allusions 3. THEY ARE AN ACTUAL PARTNERSHIP. Like sure Yuuta is in control but Rika is the one lending him her power and basically agreeing to play along, he needs to earn the strength to wield her. Like they aren’t on completely equal terms and boy would I love if they were cuz completely equal curse sorcerer partnership would be so! Cool! But they are the closest thing to that. Like she isn’t a shikigami like Megumi has or anything like that, her and Yuuta feel like actual partners who depend on each other’s strengths and cover each other’s weaknesses and I DIG THAT SHIT SO MUCH. Would I have loved if they developed a truly equal partnership and that Rika didn’t have to go? Yes. Am I happy with what I got? Also yes. Yuuta monsterfucker king. That whole ‘This is true love’ bit, amazing I love him.
Panda is the only second year I don’t passionately love ajkkjbj sorry Panda but you’re just Panda. Like I like him, I like the concept of him, I like how he obviously sees himself as not the same as the humans and doesn’t really understand them and I would love to see him explored more, his third core, his relationship with Yaga who’s basically his dad, his relationship with other sorcerers, but I’m not feral about him like I’m about Maki and Yuuta. I think he’s a neat character and a funny joke and I love when he and Toge interact they are prank bros its cute. But that’s p much all I feel about him hjvbjhbj sorry Panda

Finishing the manga. Chapters 127-144:
Chapter 127:
There is hope! Nobara has a chance at surviving this. I am pleading for her to be okay. Please!!! I’m already sad about Nanamin, don’t take Nobara too.
Chapter 128:
I feel bad for Miwa. When she referred to herself as Useless Miwa before, I assumed she was joking. Does she actually think of herself as useless?
And it looks like the Mahito fight is getting to it’s climax. If it goes on for much longer, I feel like Gojou will stay sealed after this arc.
Chapter 129:
The Mahito fight continues. Not much to say other than that it sucks to be Mahito. He’s really handicapped here.
Chapter 130:
Okay, that clap thing was really cool. Where Toudou activated his technique by clapping Mahito’s hand. Also, Mahito’s true form looks kind of not pretty.
Chapter 131:
All or nothing this chapter. Yuuji wins or he dies.
Chapter 132:
I really enjoyed the bluff from Toudou. I take it that means he really does need two hands for his technique? And how he’ll adjust after this.
Chapter 133-136:
So Mahito’s dead. And the villain is the most evil sorcerer there has been? I’m interested now. It sounds like he wants to test the world and see how to further unlock humanity’s potential through cursed energy.
And they actually lost. Gojou was stolen and they couldn’t get him out. Of course when they finally do get him out, I’m sure it will be great.
Chapter 137:
Are you kidding me??? Gojou is an accomplice, that one dude is getting the death penalty, and they don’t even have the person responsible right. Along with the fact they’re killing Yuuji again. Those guys suck.
Nice to see Yuuta again, though.
Chapter 138:
Really excited to see what Megumi does with his new status as the head of the Zenin family if he survives.
Chapter 139:
I really hope that Megumi survives, and that they can convince Yuuta they aren’t bad. I don’t think it would be that hard to convince him, he’s a good guy.
Chapter 140:
You know, I had a little more hope in Yuuta. Thought that maybe he would realize Naoya was bad. I guess he doesn’t have much reason to suspect him.
Chapter 141:
Yuuta isn’t trying to kill Yuuji this chapter. At least judging by Sukuna’s expression. If Yuuta was trying to kill him, Sukuna wouldn’t be smiling.
Chapter 142:
I didn’t expect Choso to have a kind of deep philosophical ideal on the place of a big brother and little brother and their roles to each other. I shouldn’t be surprised, given how he acts about being the brother of his siblings.
Chapter 143:
Wow, Yuuji just got executed for a second time and survived. Not many people can say it’s possible for them to die a third time. And Yuuji can say that now.
Also it looks like the next arc will be involved with Fushiguro and his sister and the game she will be forced to participate in.
Chapter 144:
I need to know if Nobara is okay. Please. That look wasn’t comforting.
And now I’m all caught up.

Title: What We Lack Part 21 Pairing:  Kacchako, Deku/Melissa, Todomomo Rating: T Word Count: 4,381 Read on Ao3 Summary:
Quirkless.
They’re the last people anyone expects to have a child without a quirk.
Neither of them can fully wrap their heads around it, but Ochako knows Katsuki is struggling far more than her.
Thank you to  @amaisenshi for reading this over and letting me freak out always. I KNOW IT’S BEEN MONTHS BUT IM BACK XD
Covering her face, Momo peaked between her fingertips, barely able to watch her two sons. Arata wasn't holding back at all, not that she expected either of them to, but Arata looked especially enraged.
He swung at his brother and Yuuta fell backwards, landing on his back out of the ring.
"Yuuta!" Momo gasped. Standing up, she gripped the railing in front of her, her knuckles turning white as she squeezed the bar.
"He'll be okay," Shouto said, standing with her. He gently planed his hand on her shoulder.
"I-I have to go to him!" she stammered, looking between the field and Shouto.
Shouto gripped at her shoulders. "No, Momo. I doubt Yuuta will feel comfortable if his parents show up back there. We can visit him after. They have staff to take care of him."
"It's okay, Momo-chan," Ochako said next to her. The woman took her hand and squeezed it gently. "They'll all be okay."
With a sigh, she buried her face in her hands. "This is too stressful," she whimpered.
"And Todoroki Arata will be moving on to the next round!" Mirio's voice echoed in the stadium as cheers erupted.
"Good job, Arata," Shouto called out, clapping.
Right. Her other son had won, that was important too. The entire match had been tense, but she didn’t want to ignore her other son’s success. "Congratulations!" she cheered, though her voice was shaky. How could she cheer for Arata when Yuuta was lying on the ground motionless. But, then again, how could she not?
She flopped back down onto the bleacher, next to Ochako. "You should be so happy you only have one out there."
Ochako giggled softly, stroking over Momo's back. "Momo-chan, it's okay! It's the sports festival. I was really injured during my fight with Katsuki and I ended up being fine."
"Better than fine," Bakugou growled, bumping into her shoulder.
"Yes, better than fine. I'm sure Yuuta is okay."
Momo pulled out her phone, running her finger down the side. "I'll send him a text just to check on him. I know he probably won't answer but, I just... I want him to know..."
"Good thing Twin #1 probably isn't going to be out of the running anytime soon," Bakugou scoffed, gesturing to the screen where Arata walked off of the field.
"Did you just say... Twin #1?" Shouto asked, glaring at Bakugou.
"Katsuki!" Ochako hissed, covering his mouth with her palm. "I'm sorry, Shouto." She rolled her eyes.
"How the hell am I supposed to remember their names?!" He growled, yanking his face away from Ochako's hand.
"It's not hard," Shouto stated bluntly.
"I'm curious how you decided who was one and two," Deku muttered tapping his chin. Melissa frowned, incredulous that her husband decided to join in on the debacle.
"I dunno, that one was more aggressive, I figure he came out first," Bakugou said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Dad!" Sayuri gasped. She groaned and pressed her palm against her forehead, shaking her head back and forth. Apparently that was even too far for even her.
Momo, however, couldn't help but laugh. She was so stressed, the lighthearted conversation actually made her feel better. She pressed her fingers to her lips, trying not to burst out loudly.
"Momo?" Shouto asked, concerned laced in his tone.
"I-I'm sorry. I just didn't expect the conversation to go in this direction," she giggled, snorting. "And for the record, Yuuta is older. Just by a couple minutes."
"Hah!?" Katsuki huffed, folding his arms across his chest. "Whatever, I think you're confused."
"Why would we be confused about our own children?" Shouto scoffed, confused why Bakugou would think they wouldn't know about the birth of their own twins.
"This is the dumbest conversation I've ever witnessed," Sayuri grumbled, glancing to Kazu.
Momo was honestly grateful. "I am proud of Arata." She sighed, looking out as they set up the stadium for the next face off. Arata wouldn't be back out for a few matches, giving him, and Momo, time to recover.
"I know it's possible our sons could face off, but for your sake, I hope Arata doesn't lose," Ochako giggled.
"He won't."
A new voice boomed behind them, a deep voice Momo hadn't heard this close and personal for quite some time. She clenched her fists against her knees. Just as she had begun to calm down...
"E-Endeavor-san!" Deku gasped, bowing his head as the man walked down the bleachers to where they sat.
Shouto stood up immediately. "What are you doing here?" he growled.
"I'm here to watch my grandsons. Though it seems Yuuta is already out of the running. I'm not surprised, given his attitude," Enji stated.
"We did not invite you," Shouto replied, his eyes narrowing at his father.
"I don't need your permission to be here, Shouto," Enji retorted.
"Shouto," Momo whispered, covering his fist with her hand. Why was he here? Why did he feel the need to constantly torture Shouto and their family? Hadn't he done that enough?
"Arata seems to be doing a fantastic job. Training him has paid off," Enji continued, ignoring the anger on his son's face. "Don't you think you should be grateful, Shouto?"
He sucked in a long breath of air. "Every time I think you've changed, you prove otherwise."
"Do I have to remind you that your son came to me-"
"Todoroki Enji!" Momo boomed, standing up. Her voice commanded a presence so strong everyone turned to look at her, their section of the stadium quiet. "I know you don't respect me. You've made that very clear over the years," she continued, not caring if everyone watched or heard what she had to say to this man. "Still, Shouto has spoken to you many times about staying away from our family. I understand that my son came to you, but you will stay away from him."
Enji's eyes narrowed, leaning toward her. "You son came to me," he repeated.
"I don't care what Arata did. He might not understand it right now, but I refuse to let you indulge in training him. Besides," she huffed, "you've said yourself his quirk is more similar to mine than yours. If he wishes to better himself, I will be the one to train him. Not you. If you ever come near either of my sons again, I will not tolerate it."
"Oh you won't?" Enji huffed, staring down at the woman.
"I won't. You spent years forcing Shouto to be what you wanted him to be and neither of us will allow you to do that to our children."
"Momo," Shouto whispered, gently touching her arm. "You don't-"
"No, I do," she hissed. "I refuse to let your father control you, our relationship or our family. He ruined your family, he does not get to ruin ours."
Everyone stared. People who didn't know them stared. People who did know them stared even harder.
Enji was silent, his eyes not unlocking with Momo's, the woman not backing down.
Pulling in a long breath, Enji sighed. "I won't stop Arata if he comes to me again."
With a final glare, Momo let out a huff before speaking. "You won't have to. He won't be coming near you anytime soon. I will make certain of that."
"Hmm," Enji hummed, still glaring after a brief bout of silence.
The two stared at each other intently for another few seconds, but the moment seemed to go on for eternity. Eventually Enji turned and walked away. Whether he chose to watch from elsewhere, no one knew, but the former flame hero had vacated the area for the time being.
"There," Momo said, smoothing out her skirt. She took a seat back on the bleacher. "I need to cheer for Arata."
Everyone stayed standing, staring at her.
"What?" she asked, glancing between her friends.
"That... was incredible, my love," Shouto said, falling to his seat with an exhale, as though he was finally letting out a breath he’d held in for years.
"I couldn't stand it any longer," she whispered, gently stroking her fingers over Shouto's cheek. "I couldn't bear to see him hurt you or our family any longer."
"I doubt that will keep him away forever..." Shouto muttered. "But it's a start..."
~~
The second Yuuta lost, Shouhei knew he was going to have to fight Arata. There were plenty of matches left, but something about the whole situation didn’t sit right with him.
Arata had been, for lack of a better phrase, a total ass lately and it had been bothering Yuuta which meant it bothered Shouhei. There was no way he was going to let his boyfriend suffer quietly like that, not when Arata wasn't explaining why he was acting the way he was.
Shouhei pursed his lips, watching the replay of his boyfriend falling to the ground. It wasn't very pleasant to watch and he kept his hands shoved into his pockets. Honestly, he was itching to fight again and he had one match left before he qualified for the finals.
The stadium cheered loudly when Arata won his second match, giving him a guaranteed spot in the finals. Shouhei saw him walking down the steps obviously heading to wait for the final match.
He glared as he walked by, the red in his hair glistening against the ceiling. Shouhei clicked his tongue. "I don't know what your damn problem is lately, Arata, but we're going to settle it out there."
Arata stopped, his turquoise eyes flicking in Shouhei's direction. "Are we Shouhei? You have to win this match first."
"I will," he sneered. "If it means I get to kick your ass, I will win."
"We'll see about that," he muttered, continuing on his way.
Shouhei rolled his eyes and made his way to the stadium. Ultimately, he would deal with Arata later, even if they didn't necessarily face off here.
His second match was easier than his first, defeating his classmate with a water quirk fairly quickly. He had become a master of dodging while he was making himself float and thankfully, he didn't get as nauseous as his mother did.
"It's been decided! Our final face off will be between Bakugou Shouhei and Todoroki Arata!" Mirio's voice boomed throughout the stadium. "It's reminiscent of their fathers facing off in the final battle of their freshman year, isn't it Tamaki!?"
"Mm." Tamaki's hum was barely heard, but Mirio didn't push for anything more from his partner.
Shouhei saw the board light up, pushing his and Arata's pictures to the top. Admittedly, he was happy to be facing off with Arata. He knew, as weak as it was, if it was Yuuta, he would've struggled. In general he was happy he had avoided that potential fight altogether.
Pursing his lips, he made his way out of the stadium, everyone cheering as he left. He only had a little time before the final match and he would use it to recover.
The first thing he did was check his phone, realizing his mother had texted him many times. She congratulated him, then she asked if Yuuta was okay, then another congratulations and finally she wished him luck.
[Text: Mom]: Thanks, I'm gonna kick Arata's ass!
[Text from: Mom] We're rooting for you! ;)
He sighed, leaning his head against his locker. He had expected this. He had challenged Arata with his words and yet... he could only imagine how upset Yuuta would be to see his brother and his boyfriend fighting.
Shutting his locker, he made his way out of the room and twisted his lips. He wasn't supposed to go to the infirmary if he didn't need help, but... he wanted to see Yuuta just one time before stepping out against Arata.
Making his way down the hall, he peeked into the room. Yuuta was laying down, staring out the window.
"Hey," Shouhei called softly.
Immediately, Yuuta turned around, a smile pulling across his lips when he realized who was visiting him. "Shou!" he said, and quickly covered his mouth. "You're not supposed to be here."
"I know, I know, but I just needed to see you before the last match. I'm... going up against your brother," he said, stepping closer to his bed.
"Yeah, I saw," he said with a sigh.
"Are you doing okay?" Shouhei asked, looking Yuuta up and down.
"Yeah," he said. "Just a few bruises, nothing major." Shouhei could tell Yuuta wasn't hurt, but he still looked frustrated. His fists curled around the blanket, his knuckles white. "I know this is... a lot to ask of you, Shou, but please defeat my brother. I think maybe he needs to lose or... I don't know..." Yuuta stammered. His chest heaved as he desperately tried to explain himself.
"Hey, hey, Yuu..." Shouhei said, reaching forward to take his hand. "Whatever is going on with Arata... we're gonna figure it out. And... I'm gonna kick his ass." He smirked, leaning in towards Yuuta. "I just... need one thing."
"Yeah?" Yuuta asked, blinking. "What's that?"
"A good luck kiss," he whispered.
Yuuta gasped and glanced around the room, as if they'd already been caught. "H-Here?!"
"It'll be quick, I promise," he smiled and leaned in, brushing their lips together. He cupped his cheek, taking in his boyfriends perfect lips, kissing him softly. He could've stayed there forever, kissing him, enjoying his lips. "There," he said, pulling back. He loved how red and flustered Yuuta's face was.
"S-Shou..."
"That was all I needed. There's no way I can lose now," he smirked.
Yuuta swallowed, finally catching his breath after the soft moment. "Shou, just... be careful. And don't kill Arata okay?"
Shouhei snorted. "Look, I'm not going to go easy on him, but just because Arata's been a dumbass lately doesn't mean I'm going to murder him. I promise okay?"
Nodding, Yuuta leaned back in the bed. "I know you two won't actually kill each other, it's just going to be difficult to watch."
"You don't have to," Shouhei said, trying to hide his reluctance. Something about the idea of Yuuta watching him thrilled him, he wanted to make him proud.
"No... I wanna support you both. I-I mean no matter who wins... I get to be happy!" he said, forcing a smile.
"Yeah," Shouhei nodded, squeezing his hand before moving away from the bed. "Don't worry, it's not like the school would let us take things too far." Or so he wanted to think.
Yuuta nodded again. "I know Shou. Besides I trust you, and I even trust Arata, despite how stupid he's been."
"Don't worry. I'll knock him down a few pegs," he said, giving Yuuta a thumbs up.
He waved, a smile quirked on the corner of his mouth.
Shouhei backed away from the room and intercom buzzed. "Just five minutes until the final match."
He swallowed, rubbing his hands together as he began to pace in the hallway. He wondered how his dad felt right now, when he was about to face off against Todoroki. Shouhei could only imagine how loud and angry his father must have been. Still, in the end, just like always, his father came out on top.
Shouhei had no idea if he could match that level of energy. His parents were always telling him to be who he was, to fight in a way that worked for him, and while he knew he could do that, he sometimes wished he had his father's confidence. Though, even Sayuri, who often had their father's temper, didn't seem to share his self-assurance.
He made his way to the entrance, knowing in just a few minutes they were going to call his name. Arata was on the other side of the stadium, and Shouhei wondered how confident Arata was. He'd seemed cocky during his fight with Yuuta and his other opponent but it wouldn't do him well to underestimate Shouhei, though presumably he knew that.
It seemed Arata had gotten stronger, but Shouhei was more than ready to take him on. In just a few short months, U.A. had already helped him better his quirk.
"Introducing the final two of this year's U.A. sports festival...Todoroki Arata and... Bakugou Shouhei!" The stadium erupted with applause.
Pursing his lips, Shouhei took a step forward. He didn't want to rush in to this, especially after all the matches they had earlier. He prayed Arata's strength would be down, but knowing the unruly twin, he was probably ready to take on this match full force. He'd probably been waiting to fight Shouhei from the beginning.
Shouhei didn't care about Arata's problems, he was going to win this for the sake of Yuuta and Sayuri. He had promised her.
Arata was walking up to the arena, the crowd going wild. It was so odd, looking at Arata's face which looked so similar to Yuuta's, and yet... Shouhei could see all the differences. Arata's eyes were sharper, angrier in this case. In general, his features seemed harsher than Yuuta's soft ones. Or maybe Shouhei was just projecting, given Arata's attitude as of late.
"Both Todoroki Arata and Bakugou Shouhei are legacies here at U.A and they're both the top of their respective classes!" Mirio announced. "We're certainly in for something exciting here!"
Scoffing, Arata planted his feet, pulling a molten spear from his chest.
Shouhei smirked. "Wasting no time I see." He pressed his hands together and touched his body, pushing off of the ground. With his other opponents, he'd rushed in, getting the upper hand by floating them and taking control of their body. He knew that wouldn't work on Arata, not after all the times he had pulled that trick on him as a kid.
Plus, the idea of teasing him a little sounded fun. Arata needed to stop being so damn serious.
He glanced down at him, floating far enough above to be out of reach. "I'm not here to fool around Shouhei," he hissed.
"Oh I know that, you've made that very clear over the past few weeks. Who shoved one of those lava sticks up your ass?" He snorted, gesturing to the burning pole he held in front of him.
"You and Yuuta will never understand. You're too far up each other's asses to notice or care about anything other than each other," Arata snapped, his eyes narrowing as he stared up at Shouhei.
Shouhei took a moment, looking down at Arata. Was that what this was all about? Was he jealous Shouhei had sort of taken his brother from him? It couldn't only be that though...
"Are you going to keep avoiding me? Is this your brilliant plan to win?"
Arata's voice snapped Shouhei from his thoughts, and he shook his head. "I dunno. I thought it could enjoy the view from up here. This is what you get for being an asshole, Arata."
With a grunt, Arata slammed his spear into the ground, cracks streaming through the field. He pushed himself into the air and yanked another object from his chest. It was a whip, fire coating the long line and Shouhei's eyes widened.
"Shit," he muttered to himself and Arata flicked it forward, wrapping around Shouhei's leg to yank him down to the ground. His back slammed against the floor of the arena and the entire audience let out a long groan. His leg burned but it wasn't like Shouhei wasn't used to the heat. Not with Bakugou Katsuki as his father.
"I told you not to underestimate me, Shou," Arata snapped, and yanked the whip back, pulling Shouhei with him.
"Don't worry," he grunted, brushing his fingers over loose pieces of debris on the ground. He flicked his fingers up and shot the pieces of rock straight towards Arata's chest, knocking him back. He let go of the whip long enough for Shouhei to push off the ground floating up once again. "I would never do that to you."
The crowd cheered when Shouhei got back up, happy their match wasn't almost done. He stretched up, watching Arata pant as he pulled the spear from the ground, now holding both weapons in his hands.
Admittedly, Shouhei hadn't thought much of Arata's improvement, mostly because he hadn't seen it up until now. They didn't train with his class, and though Yuuta had been upset Arata had been training with their grandfather, Shouhei had no idea Arata had improved so much so quickly. He had never been able to manifest more than one weapon and he did it smoothly.
It was time to get serious. Launching himself down, he landed against the ground. "I really don't get what your damn problem is, Arata. You've obviously improved a lot. I don't know why you feel the need to be better than me and your brother."
"Shut up," Arata growled, launching the spear towards Shouhei. He dodged, barely missing the fast projectile. "I am better than you and my brother."
"When did you get so competitive?" Shouhei sighed, his eyes flicking backwards to where the spear lay on the ground. He had to touch it with his bare hands to get it to float and though that would cause a serious burn, it would be worth it to throw Arata off guard.
"I've always been this competitive," he snapped.
"Not really, you always wanted to win, but never to the extent that you hurt your brother," Shouhei hissed.
Arata's eyes widened for a moment and then he frowned. "Well maybe Yuuta needs a little tough love."
"Not from you he doesn't," Shouhei snapped. "He misses you, Arata." If he could get his hands on Arata, he could float him and then pin him to the ground.
"There's... there's no need to miss me. He can talk to me whenever he wants."
Shouhei moved closer, shoving his hands into his pants pockets. If Arata thought he was disarmed... maybe he would lower his own guard. The burning whip dripped fire onto the solid ground, but Arata hadn't made a move to use it.
"You and I both know that's not really true," Shouhei said.
"Well who cares? You can just talk to each other!" He snapped, flicking the whip towards Shouhei.
He ducked, yanking his hands from his pockets as he brushed against debris again.
"That won't work twice-" Arata began to say, but Shouhei flicked his fingers upwards, sending it into the air. This time, Arata looked up and Shouhei dashed forward, slamming his hands against Arata's side.
"I didn't want it to work twice," he grinned.
He flicked his fingers up again, shooting Arata into the air. He clung to the whip and tried to flick it downward, but his limbs flailed in the air. Shouhei jumped up and grabbed Arata, slamming him down to the ground.
"Dammit!" Arata cursed, his body hitting the ground at rapid speed. Shouhei had released the gravity, making Arata feel heavy on the ground and he desperately tried to push himself up.
Instead, he let small fireballs appear in his hands and flung them at Shouhei, one after the other, draining the heat from his body. Shouhei dodged, ducking and zipping around the fire, but Arata was relentless. Even as they shrank in size, he kept throwing them, attempting desperately to hit him. However, his body was weightless and it was easy to dodge, no matter what Arata did. Despite his efforts, Shouhei could tell he was getting tired, from using too much heat and the injuries Shouhei had inflicted by slamming him down.
With a grin, Shouhei flipped behind himself, and quickly pressed his hands to the hot spear. He pulled away with a hiss, shaking his hands out. Flicking his fingers forward he shot the spear towards Arata, placing it right in front of his face, holding him in place. "The hell-"
He touched his fingers over the debris and hovered them above Arata's face, pinning them down against his jacket.
"Looks like you're stuck," Shouhei grinned. "Guess you shouldn't have underestimated me."
"You're such a smug, arrogant, prick," Arata spat. "You always have been. I don't know what my brother sees in you."
"Try looking in a damn mirror," Shouhei snarled. He flicked his fingers to the side, the spear falling forward and Shouhei lunged for Arata, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt. "You've been nothing but trouble ever since we started here. I promised Yuuta I wouldn't fuck you up too bad, but I've wanted nothing more than to punch your face in every time he gets upset that you're being a little shit."
"Yuuta, Yuuta, Yuuta, that’s all you care about! That’s all anyone cares about!" Arata clenched his teeth, wincing in pain. He was shivering, obviously trying to get back body heat. "I want to be the number one hero, that's my legacy as a Todoroki. That's Yuuta's legacy too, but he doesn't seem to give a shit about that. He only cares about following you. That's why he's here, he's making me look bad-"
Swinging his hand, Shouhei's fist connected with Arata's jaw. He loosened his grip and Arata fell to the ground, his lip bleeding as he coughed, his arms trembling against the ground.
"Okay, OKAY!" Mirio's voice boomed. "It's safe to say this match is getting a little personal! Bakugou Shouhei is the winner!"
He thrust his hand into the air and the crowd erupted with a cheer. He won, just like he promised. His parents were going to be so excited. Sayuri was going to be excited too; they were going to celebrate the hell out of this. Still, he couldn't help but glance at Arata who shook against the ground.
Shouhei sighed and unzipped his jacket, walking forward to drape it over Arata's arms. "Yuuta doesn't care about legacy... or being number one. He cares about his brother, and I care about one of my best friends. Just try and remember that's important too, otherwise you're gonna be lonely as hell at the top," Shouhei muttered.
He didn't look back as he walked off the field. Though he won, something about the victory didn't taste as good as he wanted it to.

A Ninja’s Kin Part 4
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Tumblr media
With his menacing grin that screamed death, I knew I was done for, but I was determined to not let him see any tears.
“How does it feel?” He questioned me, “You are about to be killed by your own blade, with your enemy’s blood all over it.” ‘How do I feel?’
“I would say it feels worthless. You didn’t deserve this win, you are killing me, defenseless, in front of my children. You are a coward!” I spat every single word at him, and it was as if my cold tone made the night air feel like an endless winter.
“Ha! You just can't accept that you, such a filthy piece of trash, are going to be wiped off the face of the earth.” Laughing sardonically, he got ready to end my life.
‘I lived a good life, I truly did. So why don’t I feel okay that it is ending?’ I tried to convince myself that this was okay, that I was going to be okay, that my family was going to be okay… that everyone was going to be okay. ‘Please boys, if you’re watching, look away. I cannot bear to let you see this; this evil soul ending my life.’ Mentally preparing myself for the end ended up with me asking for one last plea. ‘Please… if anyone is... truly out there… give me one more chance.’ Closing my eyes, all I remembered of this moment was one tiny tear sliding down my face.
Swosh!!!
The sound of the blade rushing through the air made my blood run cold.
“MOTHER!” ‘Takeshi?’ My boy called out to me, and my eyes flew open. Looking in his direction, I couldn’t believe what I saw. In his hand was one of the devil’s swords. “Catch this, mother!” He threw me the sword, and in the knick of time I was able to cross my blade across myself.
Putting all my energy into it, I pushed up as his blade made a resounding clang; so loud that it could have probably been heard throughout all of Japan. ‘Whoever you are, thank you for answering my prayer,’ that thought gave me enough energy to even the playing field with this gruesome man.
He was stunned, and infuriated, that I had survived his advances. But he left me no chance to escape, and it was now a battle of wills. If anything, he was more hell-bent than before on killing me.
Sweat was forming at my brow. I was expending all of my energy, but strangely I did not feel tired. “I will not be the one dying tonight,” I hissed at him through gritted teeth.
“Don’t delude yourself with worthless thoughts. I clearly have the advantage here, you are no match for me.” He nastily snarled at me.
We were glaring at each other; both of us testing our wills as we tried to push the other to the brink. This fight seemed never-ending, with neither of us willing to give the other an open.
‘What’s that?’ I saw movement out of the corner of my eye, a silhouette that could only belong to the one and only. He was propelling through the air, coming right for us.
“COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!!!” Letting out a blood curdling screech was my beloved Yogurt. Haru threw him, knowing the flight would scare the poor chicken.
Finally, an opening! Yogurt’s squall froze my foe, and I was able to gain the upper hand.
Using all the force in my body I drove upward, twisting in the air, knocking the barbarian flat on his back. I was now in control. I stepped over him, one foot on either side of his large body. I was ready to kill. ‘If it wasn’t for my sons watching and my kind heart, this blade would already be through your skull.’
With my enemy on his back, I raised my sword to his throat. Standing tall above him, I spat at him with disgust, “As fate should have it, the god of death evades you today, for I am a lot more forgiving than my husband.” I pressed the tip of the blade into his skin, but not enough to draw forth his crimson tears. “But I swear-if you ever lay a hand on my children again, I shall drag you by your throat to hell myself.” Punctuating every last syllable with malice, I made this man a promise he would be foolish to ignore.
Looking up at me in defeat, he resigned himself to his fate; he lost.
‘I still do not know who this man is, but I am not so daft to think he will tell me now.’ While I understood that I would never know who this man was, I knew for certain that I would never forget his face. I leaned down, getting as close to his face as I could get without touching him. Growling, I offered him two final words, “Get. Out.” I spoke in such a way that made me feel certain that the real devil possessed my soul.
Scrambling to his feet, the man retreated hastily out of our sight for good. ‘He knows better than to return here now.’ Lost in my thoughts as I watched him disappear, I failed to notice two brave warriors coming to stand by my side.
“And don’t you ever come back!” on my left, my shining light, Haru shouted at the evil man.
“And good riddance,” on my right, my brave and courageous Takeshi spat, kicking up some dust.
“Now that’s a woman right there.” Grabbing my attention with that sly phrase was none other than Yukimura. He was standing on the veranda next to my daughter, who happened to be standing next to…
“Hey there, little lady,” the man cooed with a cheeky smirk.
My husband, Saizo, was finally here. ‘A minute too late I’ll say.’
“Daddy! Father!” My sons shouted in unison, running up to give him a hug.
“Mommy!” My daughter exclaimed, checking to make sure I was actually standing in front of her. She jogged over to me and threw her arms around my torso, squeezing so tight I thought she was going to break me in half.
Haru excitedly looked up at Saizo. “Did you see that? Did you see how cool mommy was? She took that guy down, and not even for a moment did I think she was going to lose. Wait, wait, wait! I can’t forget about me,” Haru just couldn’t get his questions out fast enough. He didn’t even give his father time to respond to one before he started another one, “How about me? Daddy, did you see how cool I was? Because of my quick thinking, I helped her win. If I didn’t throw Yogurt at that guy, mom would have never gotten the upper hand.”
“Well, if it wasn’t for me throwing mother that blade, we would be having a very different conversation right now,” Takeshi made sure to let everyone know. “How about that father? I was so much cooler than Haru, right?”
‘One-upping each other already. It’s like none of their teamwork ever happened.’
Chuckling at his sons’ behavior, Saizo did not succumb to favoring one son over the other. Instead he gave them what they wanted more. “You two have many strengths independently. When you work together, you’re stronger, hm? Use that to your advantage.” Constructive criticism, yes. They loved to be praised, but they always preferred to learn what they could improve upon.
“Thank goodness you’re okay,” A sweet little voice said to me, pulling my gaze down to her. “I was so scared when I left you. I had no idea if I would ever see you again.” Burying her face in my messy robes, she held back her sobs, wanting to look strong in front of her father. I gently stroked her hair, trying to calm down her shaking body.
Yukimura was the next to speak. “What happened?”
The mood turned serious with his question. Hoping to ease the tension, I answered, “I honestly have no idea. The kids were finishing up with training, and we were about to go inside until the boys started acting like fools.” I gave them an accusatory look for their behavior earlier today.
They looked away from me, not wanting to look straight in my eyes. They were hoping I would have forgotten, but much to their dismay, I hadn’t.
“Haru went to go fetch the training sword he launched over the fence. When he didn’t come back after a while, Takeshi went to go find him. They both came back moments later, tied up and gagged in that horrible man's arms.” I recalled the day's events.
They were still fresh in my mind, ‘I don’t think I am going to forget this day for a long time.’
“What was his reason for being here? Did you get his name?” Yukimura was now the one asking rapid fire questions.
Saizo interjected, “Now, now, little lord, if she knew that, we would already know, don’t you think?”
“Perhaps, but it doesn’t hurt to ask,” Yukimura defended himself.
I decided to jump in on their conversation, “I have a very good feeling that the said man will not be returning here ever again.”
“And what makes you so sure?” The lord prodded.
“I know,” was all I said, smirking at the men in front of me. ‘I know because I instilled fear in that man that would last him even in his after life, when he ends up in hell of his own accord.’
“Well I think it’s about time to eat. My love would have prepared a wonderful meal a while ago, and it is just waiting to be eaten.” Realizing this conversation was going nowhere, Yukimura politely found himself a way to go back to his life.
Saizo wasn’t going to let him get away so easily though. “Boys, Sakura,” he called out to the kids, instantly having their undivided attention, “Why don’t you join Yukimura for dinner?”
“What!!!” Yukimura exclaimed.
“Ah, you three, your father is right. You guys haven’t had the chance to eat dinner yet. You had a late training today, and other issues resulted in you three not eating. I am sure you all are starving,” I added in, the mother in me worrying for my babies’ bellies.
“You don’t mind, do you, little lord?” Saizo asked in a tone that demanded no arguments.
“No, no, I guess I don’t,” Yukimura said with a confused look on his face, almost as if questioning how he got wrapped up in watching our kids for the evening.
“Alright, now go on, you three. Go have dinner with the little lord and his family.” Saizo ushered the boys to Yukimura.
I pushed Sakura towards him as well. “Have fun! I’m sure Momo and Yuuta will be excited to see you guys.” Momo and Yuuta were Yukimura’s children; Momo was his beautiful girl and Yuuta was his little rascal, who was much like my own rascal Haru.
Excited to finally be getting food in their tummies, and to spend time with their friends, the three of my children cozied up to the lord’s side.
“Let’s go uncle Yuki, I’m so starving!” Exclaimed Takeshi, followed by vigorous agreement from the other two youngsters.
Yukimura still wore a confused expression, but I knew he loved my children just as much as Saizo and I did. He was happy to be able to spend time with them, even though he wouldn’t come out and say it. “Goodbye!” And with that, the four of them set off to the dining hall where a delicious dinner was awaiting them.
With the rambunctious quartet out of here, my full attention was now focused on my favorite man in the whole world.
“How was your meeting?” I questioned him.
Saizo glanced back at me. “Not very exciting. Seems like you had more fun today, hmm?”
“Loads of fun, I can't believe you deal with them like that everyday.” The boys were at each other’s throats all day. “I thought Takeshi and Haru were going murder each other.”
Saizo was chuckling at my surprise for how hostile my boys got when they were training. “They are like that, yes. Even Sakura, sometimes.” Walking over to where I stood, he took a jibe at me, “You’re a wreck.”
“Seems you still haven’t learnt to be gentle with your words, my dear husband,” I shot back at him knowing full well I was a mess, but that didn’t mean I had any desire to be told I looked like one.
“Hmm, that so, little lady?” Saizo prodded, knowing full well how much I loved him for who he was.
“You know I don’t answer questions you already know the answer to.” He was being obnoxious on purpose, and we both knew that.
Flashing me a devilish grin, Saizo stepped closer, now less than an inch away from me. “Wow! You’re a mess and you stink.”
I was slightly offended by the abrasive words he used to describe my appearance, but I couldn’t let him know that. “That’s what happens when you’re as awesome at kicking ass as me.”
Unable to play along with me even once, “You were good, but you could have been better.” Saizo threw that backhanded insult at me. He could not give a compliment without leaving the rude bit aside, could he?
“Well, O Lord Assassin, if I could be so much better, how about you spar with me?” I dared him. If he wanted to question my skills, then I would show him just how good I was.
