Fem!Naruto would 100% be the same Naruto in canon up until she overhears people talking about how she’s a freak and so unlady like that it’s disturbing.

This is Naruto who dealt with people ignoring him so he pulled pranks and decided to be Hokage to force people to acknowledge him.

This is Naruto who runs on spite.

You think a Fem!Naruto wouldn’t hear this and go; Fuck you, I’ll be the most lady you’ve ever seen?!

I’m talking about full on deep dives, I’m talking about stalking various noble ladies to figure shit out, I’m talking about her ambushing her Sensei to ask serious questions.

And then Naruto waltzes in one day a perfect fucking lady.

Eat that.

There is more then just this though. Naruto here has looked into famous ladies to try and emulate them after all. Sarutobi removed what he could to keep her safe (keep her dependent on him as the sole form of kindness though he’d admit that was just a pleasent side effect). He didn’t think to remove everything.

Isn’t it so interesting that little Naruto finds in the library a book on the founders? On Senju Hashirama’s wife Uzumaki Mito?

(Naruto drinks it all in and learns so much. A Uzumaki? Like her? Really? Is this true? And she learns of sealing and of Uzushio. She learns of them. And she decides that they will not be forgotten.)

It’s a lady who walks into the academy. A lady who has a book on sealing in her pocket, a gleam in her eye and a prayer in her heart.

(Everyone who ever knew Mito shudders. Everyone who know Kushina stares. And a few?

Best of Time Travel AU

There are A LOT of time travel fix-it fics, but this isn't my favourite trope. That said, this post might be the only part of the recommendations for this section of Naruto fanfiction.

Uzumaki Revival by Lerya @lerya-fanfic They had been trapped in the ruins of Uzushio for who knows how long, the hastily erected barrier on the point of breaking, which would mean their deaths at the hand of Kaguya, when the Bijuu come with a solution. The ancestors must be rolling in their graves. In which Sasuke is smitten, Naruto is a badass, and timetravel happens. - This fic saved me from depression quite a few times. You could just read it purely for serotonin production. I just can't get over how smitten Sasuke is. They save the world together and live happily ever after. WIP (AKA: I’m so happy I decided to not focus on writing and took a small hiatus cause the writing is coming easier. AAKA: The Second Coming of Uzumaki Kakashi)

Hatake Kakashi would count his regrets like people count their change. Didn’t stick by his father, one. Was a little asshole who drove everyone away, two. Didn’t want to help Obito, three. Couldn’t help Sensei, four.

But his biggest regret, and one he would count as amounting to a hundred sins, would be how he hadn’t been there for Naruto. How he’d fled into the darkness to avoid the memories of the light.

If he hadn’t, if he stayed then… he would be with her.

He was sixteen when he came back, ready to open his heart and home to Naruto. He’d been blocked by the Hok- by Sarutobi. (Calling him Hokage hurt.) To dangerous the leader said. Kakashi tried to fight it, tried to trash out because that was supposed to be his little sister-

He got tossed into prison for a week. Genma was in a cell near his and their eyes met. They had to choose. Freedom and a chance to see her, to protect her, or this.

They chose the first.

If only Kakashi stayed.

(No, a part of him knows. He’d never have been allowed near. Partly in worry of Naruto’s identity coming out and partly because a pack for Hatake come before the village. Because Naruto would be raised with family and not at the whims of the Hokage who could give her gentle smiles and say soft things to her, winning her loyalty. Kakashi kept an eye on Naruto and volunteered often for her watch. Others did to and Sarutobi let them (acting as if he was an indulgent father and god it burned when they let themselves think about it). So it wasn’t to much of a shock he would be the one to find her pouring over the books. He watched as she stared at a picture of Uzumaki Mito and leafed through sealing books, the desperate want on her face so clear. The Wave Country books and…

Kakashi signed to his partner he’d be back, vanishing in a swirl of leaves before he reappeared with a stack of books. He puts them on the table and Naruto jumps, staring at him. He presses a finger to his mask before vanishing into the shadows.

(His partner laughs at him later but… well… it kind of starts something.

No one regrets it.)
