everyone is free to headcanon him however they’d like, but to me this is hsjk:

it’s definitely what he looks like during the story, especially the first few chapters. he sent that panicked hair bleach text and wound up keeping it bc fuck it, he already made it that far.

but hsjk is hsjk. he’s ungovernable. he could change his appearance entirely at a second’s notice. reader probably had to do a “i dyed my hair with koolaid packets plz help” rescue once or… 50 times.

Seokjin has lived a long time and has seen a lot of things.

A lot of weird shit, specifically, considering the world he inhabits.

He’s not sure he’s ever seen anything like this.

“Um,” he says dumbly, jaw snapping open and shut in rapid succession as he tries to put thoughts to words. “Uh,” is what he comes up with.

The man standing in front of him should, for all intents and purposes, be normal. He’s relatively tall, attractive, and people seem comfortable around him. Everyone at this party had smiled and cheered when he walked in and knew his name and various nicknames. So, yeah—he should be normal.

Instead, Seokjin watches in horror as this strange man before him stands in front of a mirror, eyeliner pen in hand, and draws all over his face. “What is he doing?” Seokjin asks you, voice hushed, like if he speaks too loud the weird man will realize he’s there and… do something. Attack, maybe. He makes Seokjin feel unsettled.

“Drawing tattoos on his face.”

Seokjin swallows. He knows what tattoos are, of course, and he knows why people get them. What he doesn’t understand is why this man is drawing fake ones on his face in the bathroom at a child’s birthday party.

“And why would he be doing that?”

You shrug. “No clue.” It’s your niece’s birthday. She’s turning four, and she loves Frozen, dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets, and Seokjin—in that order.

This is a strange display of human behavior and it’s driving Seokjin crazy. He crowds behind you, crouches down a little like he’s hiding or using you as a human shield, and whispers into your ear, “Can you ask him?”

“Seokjin, you’re like three-hundred years old. You’re a big boy. Ask him yourself.”

That’s just preposterous, and Seokjin says as much with a vigorous shake of his head. Whatever is wrong with this weird man is possibly contagious, and Seokjin doesn’t need to catch some incurable alien disease. “No.” He pouts, even though he’s behind you and you can’t see it. “I’m pouting,” he explains. “I’ve got the big puppy dog eyes that you can’t resist. Please ask him, he scares me.”

You huff in disbelief. Turn around so the two of you are face-to-face, and he wasn’t lying: he’s definitely got a pout and the puppy dog eyes. “You’re seriously scared of that guy?”

“Yes.” He shivers.

“You could kill him fifty different ways before he even has a chance to blink.”

Seokjin pouts harder. “He has weird energy. It makes me feel like I’ve got jock itch.”

“What the fuck,” you mutter under your breath. You don’t push it further. Instead, you turn towards the man and go, “Jungkook, what the fuck are you doing?”

Jungkook startles, accidentally draws a long, jagged line across face. “Aw, man,” he says, voice whiny. It feels like a jumpscare when he turns to the two of you with a wide smile. “I’m trying out a new character!”

You hum. “I see. And who might that be?”

He gestures to his face with one hand and to the dress he’s wearing with the other. “I’m Froze Malone!”

“Cool,” you deadpan. Then you’re turning back to Seokjin and fixing him with the meanest glare he’s ever seen you wear. “Happy now, you giant pissbaby?”

Seokjin does not understand humans at all.

gets really high one night and starts the application process to immigrate to canada. insistent on living in charlemagne, quebec simply because it’s where celine dion is from. cries when he is informed he cannot, in fact, do this. applies to be on 90 day fiancé instead. cries over not being able to do that, either. immediately forgets he’s done both of these things as soon as he wakes up the next morning and keeps wondering why he keeps getting letters in the mail from immigration lawyers.

What aspects of your writing are completely unlike your real life? i think i'm fairly quick to cut off relationships (platonic, romantic, in-between, etc.) that don't feel too great anymore, and once i reach that place with someone i am very unlikely to allow them back into my life in any capacity. so a fic like boyb or love.fm would never happen to me :') or even fa&r.

other than that, i guess any kind of drama? i either cut and run or talk it out fairly quickly so my life is relatively drama-free. this was hard to answer bc i think my ocs are like me in a lot of ways, so this was a stumper.

i do not have one, mostly because i have nothing to schedule 🥲 i had one when i was posting boyb, and that was every week to two weeks depending on how big the chapters were, and i both loved and hated it. sometimes i need a deadline to kick my ass, and other times i feel really smothered by them. i don’t think i’ll write/post another chaptered fic unless i complete it beforehand.

i am! i have a request guidelines page i’m too lazy to link rn, but as long as they’re followed and the requester understands it might take me a while, i don’t mind taking requests. :)

kazodkclf yes hsjk IS a comfort character but i’ve also been weirdly finding a lot of comfort in the fa&r couple lately? like i’ll hear a song and think ooo that’s them, or think up ideas. when i’m really in the shits though i almost exclusively read some combination of yoonjin/namjin/namgi fics. except not imprints bc that story still has me fucked up.

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

i love writing that relationship-limbo kind of angst, like in wdyllwyl and fa&r. humans are so messy, relationships even more so, and just… real life struggles and drama without having to manufacture any, just real people going through real shit. i put a lot of my life & experiences into what i write, so it’s both cathartic and emotional to see it reflected back in characters. i cried writing the “you want so many impossible things” (or however i’d worded it) line in wdyll lmaooo. i think that was the only time i’ve ever done that.

🤡 What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?

all of hsjk’s scenes in boyb. i thought maybe i was writing him too over the top and then the festa dinner happened and everyone outed him as a mega weirdo and i felt true vindication. i laughed through most of you suck! too, especially the thought of getting a vampire roommate and having to explain that your cat is named after a buffy character.

then i got the reblog from the person who lost the fic and searched “homeless jin ff” to try to find it and i’ve been laughing ever since.

ooh! i have the skateboarder jin fake dating/e2l for his birthday collab, although that’s only at like 3k rn so i have to hustle. fuckboy frat bro hockey player hobi. yoongi’s birthday collab next year which i’m thinking will be smth like — musician yoongi struggling to create art, reader drags him on a trip to yosemite, he spends weeks in the woods doing nature boy shit and emerges from the forests like a horny little wood nymph like hozier. maybe he writes work song bc can u imagine yoongi writing smth like work song.
