(the same writer has a pride and prejudice take on wolfstar if you want something lighter. I love it sm!!)

Feeling extra mechanicy today.

I have done very little work on cars, just basic routine like replacing batteries and spark plugs, air filters, etc. Wasn't ever really allowed to do work on any before.

But things are just kinda making sense the longer I stau under it and just google lense the part number stickers & watch a 2 minute video on youtube with a guy talking about removing/replacing the thing. Learned a lot today in the 3 hours of dozing off under the har lol. The weather is so nice today too. We got some cozy time spring weather :3

But yah the more I just chill and look at it I'm thinking to myself, why did my dingus straight mom always act so jumpy mean about me trying to wrench on any cars. Half the stuff down here is similar to some airplanes I've worked on, and the other half idk what it is yet but I can see how to disconnect & replace sensors/major parts. I could figure it out from an ipc or a youtube video. Kinda fun figuringout this puzzle :'3

Also temporarily fixed that wear spot on the transmission with the plumbing silicone I had on hand. It's no RTV but it's better than nothing for now. I may actually put in a smaller bolt, or just add more washers to it to add more distance between em

everytime you are doing something, anything, and find yourself wondering whether I should do it or not...ask yourself questions like ..

1. how is this benefitting me?

2. if not at this instant, will it benefit me in the long run?

3. am i prioritising myself, my physical, emotional and mental health?

4. am i wasting my time doing this?

this is important. choosing how to use your time is of paramount importance because time is the most valuable thing you'll ever own. most people don't realise it until it's too late.

but change your habit, change your thoughts and choose your tasks and routines wisely.

it will shape who you are, your lifestyle, health and success.

so before switching to just one more episode of that Netflix show you've been watching when you know what your body needs is rest , or sleeping for just 15 more minutes , and eating that one extra slice of pizza even though you're full, ask yourself how is it impacting you and you'll be more vigilant about it the next time around.

I’d made an unsuccessful attempt to Arts Council England in 2020 and my practice needed financial support after losing all my paid work during Covid that year. I was lucky enough to receive Access Support from ACE to work with Mark on a renewed DYCP application. Mark’s process of working together was clear and precise, we emailed a few times and then during an online meeting he asked me investigative questions. My ideas, ambitions and project thoughts were put succinctly into a written proposal that clearly defined my application for funding. Mark understands the format and complexities of Arts Council proposals, with plenty of additional advice on structuring supporting information and choice of images, but always with his eye on the deadline. The outcome was a success!
