Bald Beauties* 

Fashion week isn’t the first place you think of when you think of bald caps and prosthetics but Makeup Artists like Isamaya French and the likes will make you now think twice. 

We at The Mill absolutely love this look from the catwalk of designer Rick Owens, this fall 2019. The mix of clever contouring, prosthetics, bald cap and wig create a character rather than your classic catwalk cliches. Its great to see techniques and tricks usually associated with only Film, TV & Theatre being used in fashion.

Perfect Pins*

And no I don’t mean the two legged type...I mean the type that come in hundreds of colours, shapes, sizes, lengths...well that does sound like legs but I mean HAIR PINS and finding the perfect Pin Box is equally as varied in shape and size. Finding the right one is so difficult, some are too small so you can only fit basic pins, perfect for your set bag but not for a crowd room where up do’s are the do of the day. Some are way too big, bigger than your make up kit, take up your entire make-up station leaving little room for anything else. Some are hardly even portable, one flip upside down and the blonde matte grips mix with the black fine wiggles...its carnage! Well..not anymore. As always Tiger have come up trumps with their £3.50 organiser box, it is stack-able, build-able and transportable! All the ‘ables’ you want in a pin box. It fits the smallest pins right up to Geisha pins...and they don’t really come much bigger than that!
