No matter where she goes, or how far she strays, Grand will always feel like she belongs where she was shaped into who she is today: the Adventurers’ Guilds in Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, and Ul’dah. If it weren’t for Baderon, Mother Miounne, and Momodi, she might still be that lost young girl longing for somewhere to belong.

Spooky Video Game Music No. 276: The Maiden’s Lament- Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (PS4/PC)

In this huge MMORPG and the 14th installment of the popular Final Fantasy franchise, you travel through many places and dungeons. One dungeon you and 3 other people can travel through the haunted Haukke Manor. A manor with a dark past, it was once owned by a rich lady named Amandine. She was obsessed with beauty that she tried everything from lotions to shampoos until she used a very disturbing source. This manor has been infested with ghosts, monsters and many other dangers that you need a whole team to join with you to fight the boss. Sometimes you might have to split up to find some keys…

It may be a pretty short song but man, this song sounds so creepy. The organ plays out throughout the song, letting us know how haunted the place is. The choir adds some sadness and atmosphere with the manor, reminding us of the dark history of it. Yet despite all of the creepiness and sadness, it also sounds grand as well, having an adventurous tone which fits with our heroes trying to conquer the manor. It’s sort of like something out of Castlevania, scary yet also epic as well. I can see this fitting for Dracula’s castle. 🎃

AurAugust Day 10: Date Night

Grand was married, once. It was a beautiful ceremony, and when it was all finished, the reception was a beach party. It was one of the best days of her life, and she still remembers it fondly. But sometime between that happy day and now, her wife, Luna, had vanished into thin air. At first, Grand was willing to scour heaven and earth to get her back - but the longer she was gone, the more she began to realize that... she was never going to find her. 

So she sometimes comes back to Costa Del Sol to make her feel closer to Luna once more. She still has a hard time stepping back into the apartment they shared, but Costa... it was different. All it was was happy memories. It was almost like she was on a date night with her wife once again.
