This former liquorice shop in Avignon, France is called a loft, but it’s unlike any loft I’ve ever seen. 

This is what the French consider an industrial loft? It’s unbelievable- look at that piece of equipment on the left- is that some sort of a hoist, or does it control the skylight? This is amazing. 

There are elegant rooms around the perimeter of the gorgeous open center on the ground floor.

The living room space is illuminated by an overhead glass roof and also lit by a sublime hot-air balloon chandelier reflects the graphics of the Eiffel framework, highlighting the incredible volume of this living space, which is the epicenter of the loft.

There’s a large, light-filled dining room in the middle space, as well.

Professional grade kitchen has an actual street pushcart as an island.

An extension of the living room, hides a fabulous bar with a billiard table for entertaining.

Have you ever seen such fancy stairs to a loft mezzanine?

And, here’s the mezzanine overlooking the center of the loft- it has beautiful fitle floors, marble & brass railings, plus the original old stone walls.

Incredibly fancy bath.
