Just a little ficy-fic for if the Robit Romance survives to the Bells Hells reunion:

"You don't approve of me, do you, Mr. Greymoore?" FRIDA bluntly asks.

"I don't fucking know you," Ashton replies, taking a swig from his bottle of alcohol.

"We can fix that," the aeormaton ventures, sitting down across from the genasi. "I would like to have your approval, as it carries some weight with Fresh Cut Grass and I love them. So what do you need to know?"

Ashton eyes them, then snorts. "I need to know if you're a good thing for him, or if you're going to fuck him over. But fucking talking isn't going to sort that shit out."

FRIDA moves to object. They would never, never do anything to cause harm to FCG. They love him.

"Don't," Ashton sternly gestures at them before FRIDA can utter a word. "People say shit all the time. They might even mean it. But what they do is way more fucking important. So you make Letters happy? Great. Keep doing that."

Ashton's hand clamps down on FRIDA's shoulder, their fingers threatening to leave dents. Their eyes burn into FRIDA's.

"And if you fucking hurt them, or make them feel bad, I'll fucking smash you into pieces that no one will have a prayer of putting together again."

ouugh... old, jaded tang bo who has locked himself up into his own corner of the family home. children of the tang family grew up with warnings to not go anywhere near his dwelling

this tang bo he saw how his family did nothing to help while his hyung-nim's sect was burnt down, how their sacrifice was rewritten and discarded by the ten great sects. in the position he was in, i actually think he would have gone mad with anger.... only when chung myung came back does he start going out again but he still treats everyone else coldly

(along with his smoking habit, he's also picked up another: constantly polishing that red plum blossom hair pin of his. its tips are chipped and the paint has faded. however, considering how old it was, it's a testament to its owner's reverent care that it can still serve its purpose)

(chung myung buys him a new one, but tang bo only does the same thing to the second)

UR SOO NUTS SAYING THIS TO MEEEEEE i literally think about this all thee fucking time ohh my days theres such a stark difference between a man mentally reincarnated just moments after his death, thrust into a new world with no time to adjust or settle vs a man who survived his death and had to live every single one of those long aching days alone and weary and aging and never finding a way to move on.. a man who lost everything and nothing, forming new bad habits to break the old, lighting incense for new tablets he can hardly stand to look at, locking himself away and becoming his families most revered recluse…

the worst part of tang bo survives the war au is that, like chung myung, he never expected for anyone to suddenly return from the dead for him (reincarnation is not real of course), except if he did, once, entertain the idea when he was still young and mourning and grieving and in the throes of denial, that desperate spark would have thoroughly been squashed as the days turned to months turned to years turned to decades turned to centuries and nobody came for him

hey welcome back and ty for remembering me!! <3 honestly the only thing that really changed is i got a full time job again ......other than that still literally just going fucking insane w grief and mental illness......i also reconnected with an old friend and finally got out to the gay clubs in the city closest to me but it's too expensive to go often........hm what else........my doctor is pretty sure i have autism which was a new development and surprise to me.......started learning norwegian in my spare time (just as a hobby and not for fluency) alongside spanish.........hows things been with you? i hope everything is all good!! :)

Episode 17 being entertaining, annoying, and infuriating.

Sparse comments

1) The Leo thing is moving at a snaaaaaail's pace.

I know this is gonna go on for long, so I'm just making peace with it.

2) What a fking random way to start Nigarbrahim. (Talking to the garden scene where she is randomly the one accompanying Hatice)

I know that Stockholm Syndrome is the name of the game in this show but damn this is honestly offensive.

3) Leo and Matrakçi should co-found a Get Over Her support group.

4) Mocenigo returns, this time convinced there's no way Süleyman will be able to turn the gift of a clock into not-so-veiled egomaniacal threat.

Of course, Süleyman relishes the challenge and does exactly that.

5) The janissaries being upset for Ibrahim's success is freaking hilarious given they are recruited the same way he was.

6) Gülsah and Gülnihal are honestly baffling in how much they're willing to be stepped over.

Even more for Gülsah given she even VOLUNTEERED to another murder attempt, as if Mahidevran did not literally throw her under the galley the first time.

7) Everyone is STILL ignoring the murderer still at large

8) WHAT THE F**K WAS THAT TIMESKIP WHAT YEAR IS IT WHO PUT MUSTAFA IN AN AGING CAPSULE-
