Great question! 

@bevinbrand is working on a FlashSpruce fic of her own (which I love so much oh my gosh), as well as doing some really dang awesome illustrations and designs for my upcoming fic. 

Someone recently told me that @smallcrystals is writing some FlashSpruce of her own, which is awesome!!! As far as I can tell it’s a series of one-shots. She’s also done some mood-boards for the chapters she’s writing which are so neat to see, so you can check those out on her blog!

As for me, I’m writing a sequel to The Exes Club focusing on Sunset Shimmer, although Flash and Timber are main characters in it and their relationship is important. I’ve almost written 50,000 words (for context, that’s almost 3 times longer than Exes Club), so it’s coming along! Bevin and I will announce the release date when the time comes! And that’s the stuff I know about, but I’d love to hear about more! I love seeing the creativity and people making stuff they love—whether that’s fanfics, art, editing images together, playlists, or what have you!

honestly, aside from sci twi, the only person i ship him with is flash (flashspruce is LITERALLY my brand), so i'm biased lmao

ngl, despite me not headcanoning all the dazzlings as lesbians (adagio i hc as a lesbian), i don't really like shipping them with boys?? personal preference i guess 😭

as for the mane 7 (sans sci twi)... idk, i just prefer them being timber's closest (and proper first) friends! like, you know, friendship is magic!!

i know there are a few people i've come across that like the idea of timber/sunset and i respect it! but i personally just don't see it.

Timber’s head throbbed against his pillow and he hated it. Absolutely hated it.

His body felt so overbearingly warm – he just wanted to itch it off. His blanket was both comforting and suffocating, he wasn’t sure if he wanted to remove it or keep it on. Timber tried to breathe through his nose but ended up cringing at how stuffed it was, coughing from the build-up of carbon dioxide. He furrowed his eyebrows as he collapsed back onto the bed and stared up at his ceiling.

“Timber? You okay?” Flash popped his head through the open door of Timber’s bedroom. 

He whined, smacking his hands against his bed. “I hate being ill. Gloriosa’s out with the other students and I’m stuck in here!” Timber pouted, chest feeling incredibly heavy.

“I know,” Flash sympathised, walking in with a glass of water. “But you need to rest.”

“I don’t wanna,” Timber turned over onto his stomach, closer to Flash who sat at the side of his bed. His hand rested on Flash’s thigh, slipping between them in an effort to move his body so Timber could lay his head on his lap. “I can rest tomorrow, the students leave then.” He moved to get up only for Flash to shove him back down onto the bed. “Flaaaash!”

“Timber, you’re ill!”

“I don’t like lying here and doing nothing. Besides, you’re not in here with me.” He crossed his arms.

Flash rolled his eyes. “Gosh, you’re such a baby.”

“Your baby.”

He gave Timber a soft smile.

“My baby. But listen, you go out there, your cold is gonna get worse. If you don’t rest, you won’t get better.”

Timber pulled his mouth into a straight line, shoulders sinking. He sat up on the bed, avoiding Flash’s arm who tried to pull the covers back up to his shoulders. “Fine. But,” – he looked at Flash – “can you pass me my laptop?”

Flash shot him a confused look. “Why?”

“I wanna finish editing together the videos I took of you on our first date.”

He loved it when Flash blushed. The red colour was so pretty on Flash’s soft cheeks and the way he always lowered his head to hide his face from others. Timber could vividly remember the clips he took of Flash on their first date and how shy the boy was at first, hiding from the camera with a bucket hat they bought.

“O-okay,” Flash said. He got up and wandered to Timber’s desk, gingerly picking up his laptop. He slid it over on Timber’s covers and then jerked his shoulder to stretch out his muscles, muscles that Timber ogled at very obviously.

“Thank you,” he said extra cutely.

Flash sighed with a laugh.
