What if Clover Leveled Up in Flawed Pacifist?
Tumblr media
This is one of my favourites scenes in not just Undertale Yellow but Undertale in the general.
The pure rage that Clover experienced in this scene is incredible. You can tell exactly what he is feeling. Anger towards Asgore for causing all of this. Anger at himself for letting himself to be distracted from the mission. Anger towards the Monsters for going along with this. Anger towards Ceroba for betraying him. Maybe even Anger towards the humans who had unjustly sealed the Monsters all those years ago.
What I want to know is what would have happened if all of that anger manifested in a jump in LV which resulted in a Big Shot.

One of these days I'll expand on this, but HOLY CRAP I cannot imagine the betrayal Starlo must've felt if you kill Ceroba in Flawed Pacifist. This guy, this monster who idolized humans and was so ecstatic to see one that he had them join his posse, killed his best friend. And, just, that's gotta hurt MORE than when she git married to Chujin, because despite his broken heart, she was at least THERE. She was ALIVE.
Here she's not.
Despite her willingness to die, Starlo hates you once you kill her. And part of it is how close they were before she was killed. The other part is the fact you basically betrayed him. You had no inclination to kill anyone beforehand. Heck you probably didn't even SHOOT anyone (unless you were me and was pissed at Axis).
All that training, all that bonding, the fact he stopped you and gave you that Deputy badge, said that he was PROUD of you. Suddenly all down the drain because now his best friend is gone. I cannot even fathom how that must've felt. Like no wonder he sees you less than dirt, you killed his friend and broke his trust. No longer are you his Deputy, even if you wanted to go back to the Wild East. Actually that would likely be a bad idea, he just would not like you around.
Also it's such an interesting contrast of, "yes you're safe in the law, but personally I do not want to see you again." Just, hoough love that!
Have no idea how to end this, so, yeah holy crap Starlo absolutely hates you in Flawed Pacifist

UT-Anomalous has 4 Different Flawed Pacifist Endings. The Normal one, The Chara one, The Flowey one, and The Best friends one.
Here's how you get them.
NORMAL: Treat the Papyrus fight like UT's Asgore Fight. Whittle him down and then Spare. You get a phone call like always, with Chara and Flowey giving you a goodbye. You get a Deter Cutscene from this ending telling you you probably could get a better ending, like normal UT's Flowey.
CHARA: Don't whittle Papyrus down too much, then spare. This allows you to bring Chara with you. The phone call changes to just Flowey giving you a goodbye. You then get a different cutscene where you see Chara and Frisk on the surface, and Chara tells Frisk they could have probably done more, and then asks Frisk if they can still load their save. This brings you back to the menu to continue.
FLOWEY:Whittle down Papyrus, then FIGHT. This allows you to bring FLOWEY with you. The phone call changes to Chara being conflicted, but forgiving Frisk. Giving them a sad goodbye. The cutscene is then Flowey telling Frisk the same thing Chara tells them in the Chara ending.
BEST FRIENDS:Load your save after any Flawed Pacifist ending, then Fight Papyrus again, and Spare. You then get a cutscene where Deter TRIES to attack again, but since you already know what Deter;s going to do, Frisk, Chara, and Flowey stop Deter before they can attack Papyrus, and tell Papyrus to put the Human ESSENCE's back into Safekeeping. except for Azreal and Emily's, who they ask to be returned to them. Papyrus then let's you leave peacefully as thanks for saving his life. you then get a cutscene with Chara and Flowey telling frisk the same thing they say in their Respective endings, locking you out of trying to fight Papyrus again after loading your save. You are then LOCKED into needing to do Pacifist unless you Reset.

gonna put this here
Yooo this video is an interesting take on how a flawed pacifist ending on Underfell would go!
Check it out ✨
Thanks again for a submission! :)

So, I've done a Pacifist, I've done betrayal kills, I've done a neutral where I killed everything but bosses, I got up to Zenith Marty on Geno and then watched the ending on YT.
But it seems I'm still missing a few things. Apparently killing Ceroba in Pacifist triggers a Flawed Pacifist ending with extra dialogue, an Asgore fight, and I don't what else.
And it seems that Axis apparently killed Integrity and absorbed their EXP, but aside from their comment in Geno about "neutralizing a human" and a couple spoilers, I know nothing about it.
So I have one more ending to get, and I need to look up info on Axis vs. Integrity.

the thing that impresses me most about UTY is that the writing challenge the devs had to contend with was ABSURDLY difficult and yet they somehow pulled it off. how do you maintain Undertale's overall tone and let the protagonist "win" when the space you're writing in forbids you from leaving the middle of this venn diagram?
Tumblr media
it feels impossible but they just did it anyway. hats off to them.

Sorry i meant Flawed Pacifist
Also...DS!?
In thay case, CocoaPowder would definitely work in Flawed Pacifist. Seeing a more cynical Clover build a relationship with recently revived Chara while also dealing with his spoiled relationship with Starlo would be interesting.
As for Desert Sanctuary, canonically their relationship definitely isn't romantic but it could create some interesting scenarios.

Call me weird if you like but 'Flawed Pacifist' was my favorite ending actually
(Not surprising given I enjoy Asgore's character and UTY handles him immaculately here)

HOLY $#!%!!!!!!
I finally beat Undertale Yellow and this has to be the greatest UT fan-game boss fight of all time.
and I'm ranking it as second favorite UT boss fight right behind freaking ASRIEL DREEMURR BOSSFIGHT!!!
(You can probably guess seeing as the ceroba boss fight takes huge inspiration from the final boss of UT's true pacifist.)
If you haven't played the fan-game, well you just got one of the coolest moments in the pacifist run spoiled to you out of context but still play it!

*massaging my temples with an irritated expression* I am soooooooo tired of people misunderstanding starlos character
#his lawman persona is literallyyyyyy a persona it’s spelled out in the game itself he’s not a “real sheriff” guys plea#a lot of people specifically seem to not understand how he can’t fight you in vengeance but WILL in pacifist + neutral and even talks abt#wishing he killed you when he had the chance if you killed ceroba#when like. it makes perfect sense when you actually think about it for more than three seconds. the wild east is all roleplay. even vengeful#virgil. his greatest adversary is just roleplay. it’s completely believable to me that when faced with the situation in vengeance he would#hesitate. we know in pacifist/neutral that he’s aware of the fact he’s a fraud#and this would weigh on him HEAVILY in that situation#especially when the human he’s supposed to gun down is not only a human child but the cutting image of the very people he idolised all his#life#I think it’s soooo interesting that the only times he fights/talks about fighting clover is in moments of selfishness and desperation.#his boss fight is a result of losing all his friends bc of his own ego and taking it out on a kid he dragged into everything to begin with#in flawed pacifist he wishes he shot clover before they even did anything wrong bc he lost his best friend. and while we know there are very#ain justifications that can be made (including that ceroba herself wanted to die) the law stops mattering to star the moment clover shot cer#oba#and I love that about him. I looooove that he can be selfish as fuck and not think things through and lash out in a way unlike what you’d#expect from a figure that supposedly embodies justice and the law
