there are many kinds of silence. they are a language, they communicate as words do.
there's the awkward one, the one which makes blood run to your cheeks, that makes you speechless and panicked.
there's the heavy kind. the one that sits like lead on your heart, that stabs you slowly like ice.
there's the comfortable one, the one you don't wish to break. you can hear thoughts, you can see the world together, with no rush.
there's the warm one. it is similiar to the previous one, but it feels like a different, more intense kind of light. you feel beauty growing like a plant in the sun.
there are many kinds of silence. sometimes words are superfluous.

the imaginary future looks like an accelerated past.
the projection of the future done in the past shapes the way the future is thought about in the present, but that's fair since the future is an extended present thought as a separate entity from the present itself;
we categorize time in before-now-after but that's based on our point of view, and that's due to the belief in the intrisinc value of the now> that's where we Make Decisions;
 and since decisions are the way the self finally gives itself margins and the way through which it define itself, how we think about identity and how we think about time might be intimately linked

breathe! the last piece of an old ticking clock clicked together. a small sapling on an old tree. the last brush stroke of an oil painting. a perfect straight line drawn without a ruler. in space there's no north nor south. the colours of the clouds through a sunrise.

sometimes you just gotta Ponder and Eat a piece of fruit like it's the last remaining shard of vitamin on a ship and you're on a long sea journey with no land in sight and that's that

"do you think there's 'something tragic about this' life?"
it depends on the definition of tragic. what kind of tragedy are we talking about? because yeah, i do think that there is tragedy in life, and that there is, deep inside of tragedy, emerging by contrast, a will to live.
some things i identify as tragic are parts of life, inevitable, and there is beauty in them, in the sole fact that everyone is bound to feel them, and that getting past them teaches us something. and that lesson feels wrong and unfair, and if you believe that the universe is a living thing, it is like a wound, like two pieces of a puzzle that don't match. but why? why isn't everything falling back together in the easiest of ways?
the inability to answer this is tragic for me, and a kind of tragedy that i am not able to explain. a still earthquake, something drifting away, something unexplained to which we feel the need to continuously look for answers, something tragic about this.

man i like pirates. i think one of these days i'll do a in-depth research on old-style sea piracy, i really want to know more about the social, psychological, philosophical dynamics behind it. maybe it's 12yo me talking but- maybe in some cases it was like a way humans sought an alternative. a dangerous, system-defying kind of freedom.
