i ran out of ultrakill memes to draw the fans in...
Anyway.
An idea for a railgun alternate would be to have a "minion" or "familiar" at the cost of your other rail cannons and a hefty cooldown if it dies
Immediatly with this concept alone you can get a ton of fun concepts that would be incredible to play around with (id love to hear you guys' ideas 🤤) but heres mine for SPECIFICALLY the screwdriver.
"Fracker!" lore wise, another one of humanities attempts to make profit off of hell, a portable mining device made incredibly durable and strong to extract various liquids samples and blood quickly, now repurposed as a weapon with a will of its own!

Design ideas with notes!
For the most part all you need to know mechanically is that its similar mechanically and functionally to the sentry, but more robust.
It would attack in much the same way!
With the exception that its using a fracking drill instead of a gun of course.
On its own this is beautiful but wheres the style? So in classic ultrakill fashion heres some "techs" or "style bonuses" that you could potentialy use in-game, and of course I have to constantly reference mining terminology, it's a mining bot!
+Coupled, knock the frackers drill into another enemy using feedbacker or shotgun, you could repeat this to skewer as many enemies as you wanted!
+Daisy-chain, jump start multiple skewered enemies, OR, the fracker itself, while he's attached! That can't be good for his insides...
+Backfill(ed), hitting the fracker in the back (right on the pump!) with any weapon while he's siphoning, will cause him to reverse the flow and.... pop!
+As-intended, hitting the fracker into the ground before it can hit an enemy will cause the fracker too.... well, frack! Blood flows forth from the ground in that area and the drill is retracted.
+Lodestone, if the drill happens to hit (or be redirected into) an attractor, the drill itself temporarily gains the effects of an attractor!
+Sump, a variant of +backfill, most enemies would pop under the pressure of its powerful pump, but large enemies take multiple hits this way to generate enough pressure to be reduced to liquid!
Nitty gritty mechanical stuff, the drill itself would move about as fast as a saw from the alt nailguns, and its damage would be about 1/4th of the screwdrivers, but twice as fast (firing and duration.) The cord is prehensile, but thats only really for idle animations, it's a straight shot. It has its own healthbar, which is shown on the ui similarly to the railgun charge, it regains health after hitting an enemy. Certain style bonuses will damage him if timed wrong, +sump in particular would require hits in time with the pump or risk missfiring.
It's very expressive! Being a much more comercial robot it isn't designed to be intimidating, so it has a lot of bells and whistles, rather than the usual "effeciency above all" strategy the other robots use. It has the capability to play radio, display images, connect to the internet (uhm, if possible?) And communicate with v1 in real time!
Despite being a robot, it is fully sentient, as most blood fueled machines are. I haven't decided on if it would have dialouge yet, but if it did it would be very simple "alert" notifications near the railgun charge bar.
Although he is more robust than the sentries, that also means he has much more trouble moving, typically bunny hopping is fastest!
The drill could also be reffered to as it's "probiscus".
Also, gender is... whatever! Any pronouns are fine.
Idk how many ppl are actually gonna end up seeing rhis but the second i came up with him I drew him immediatly with every ounce of skill i could muster, and I HOPE you guys feel the same.
The image on the left is much more early in "development" the "water" it pumps would much more likely be stale blood, or "exhaust" to better fit lore and like, mechanical stuff.

Science fact of the day- Liquid rocket engines!
Because solid rockets are not quite effiecent enough and lack control, other types of engines are very needed. Liquid engines make up the other type of chemical rocket, although these two come in two main types.
Pressure Fed engines are the simpler type of engine. these engines will have their fuel tank, and then behind that, there will be a large tank filled with pressurized gas of some kind. whenever they need to burn the engine, they open valves and the pressure pushes the fuel down into the engine so that it can burn inside the combustion chamber. There are a few major advantages to pressure fed engines: for one, theyre incredibly reliable. with other engine types like we'll see later, there's a lot more systems that all have to work better for the engine to work, and if just one fails, your engine could be done, or even worse, your whole rocket could explode. with a pressure fed engine, theyre far more likely to just work when you turn them on, every single time. Which is another advantage- they can be used over and over and over again as long as you have fuel. they're great for missions that will need to do multiple smaller burns, such as those exploring other planets. Cassini, for example, fired its two engines a combined 200 ish times or so in order to line in up to have the best orbit for studying different things about Saturn as well as lining up orbital encounters. Only a pressure fed engine can have that sort of reliability. however, they have a major downside: theyre not super effecient- in fact, theyre often similar to solid rocket motors, in that 2 ish km/s range. still, for the reliability they provide theyre still often the best option.
I should also mention cold gas thrusters- theyre basically this taken to the extreme. they cut out the middle man by just straight up pushing out pressurized gas instead of pushing fuel into a combustion chamber. they're incredibly simple, they're incredibly reliable, and they're like, way less effecient. they do still have a good use, and that's attitude control. if you look at a picture of the space shuttle, you see all these little holes in the front and some itty bitty thrusters on the back- it's a large number of cold gas thrusters that can be used to rotate the spacecraft in literally any way they need. because cold gas thrusters are really really simply and reliable, this makes them the best suited to this tast, which requires precision in firing the engines and reliability to opperate them literally hundreds of times, maybe even within a single mission. these kinds of systems are called Reaction Control Systems (at least it was on the space shuttle) and that's basically the only niche these guys fill but theyre still pretty neat
finally, we have pump fed rockets. these are the real big boys, your F-1s and your RS-25s and your Merlins and your Raptors. The defining aspect here is a turbopump- basically its a pump built to spin at insanely fast speeds (on the RS-25, it was THIRTY THOUSAND rpm), and with high torque too, because they need to to move this much fuel, and again using the RS-25s as an example, it was something like 800 kilos per second for each individual engine, although the F-1 engine burned like 2500 kilos per second per engine, which is like an entire car's weight of fuel in a single second flowing through those pumps. so this raises the question? how the fuck do you power a pump that powerful? well, we have a bunch of rocket fuel lying around, so why not use just a little bit of that? only a very small amount of fuel is actually burned in the turbopump, so its a fairly small price to play for being able to achieve the absurdly high thrusts of rockets. Now, the engines i've talked about here are probably doing more than the average rocket engine, most probably have rpms in the 1-10 thousand range, and handle far less propellant per second, but i like going to the extremes to show the kinda shit these engines do.
You can probably see why these engines are so complicated. However, the benefits are easily worth it. They're the only way you can come even close to the power of solid rocket boosters, and they have the added bonuses of being more efficiency, while also being controllable. while many of them are made to only fire one time, they can usually be gimbled (pointed a little bit to steer the rocket) while executing their burn, and some of them can be operated multiple times in one flight, or at least be refurbished between flights (such as the RS-25). so how do they do on efficiency compared to the other engines? well it actually depends massively on their fuel- which i'll talk about tomorrow so byeeeeee

Lady Dior and the Seven Dilfs
Chapter 4: First Order of Business
Masterlist

Ghost, Soap, Gaz and you eventually took turns in aim training, knife throwing and handgun shooting. it was actually quite fun. A little about your before-military-background, you used to shoot water guns when youre 3, BB gel guns when youre about 7 and youve won arcade games for your little niece when youre 14.
a lot of arcade games. your younger cousins always look up on you whenever you won them prizes from huge plushies, Hotwheels, even legos.
speaking of guns, you've surfaced to the depth of the internet back when you were young. having to use your mother's iPad to access such gores and disturbing content. Adapting to the FBI, forced to eliminate people off, you had absolutely no problem.
Empathy and sympathy is out of the window. your past relationship with you ex boyfriends left you quite heartless. you got scammed in Roblox once, it is merely a canon event. the homeless guy you give your spare change to molested a school girl once and you beat him until he lost vision. world hasn't been treating you well, and you just go with the flow and give zero fucks to nearly anyone.
"nice shot, (y/n)." Gaz rests his hand to your back. you sighed proudly, "Thanks, Gaz!" you nudged his side. "You got any question, (y/n)? you said you're a little less experienced with sub machine guns." Soap stored the unused MSMC.
Back in your FBI days, handguns are the most effecient weapon you can handle. It's been a while since the last time you were using the automatic rifles because your all-gun training was when youre in early 20s. you never liked heavy machinery gun because theyre too hefty for you to bring anywhere.
you prefer something quiete, small but fast. you prefer sniper as long ranged, revolver or a usp for mid combat and knifes for close. In your horse riding phase, you possessed an archery skill. you were slightly above average but stopped after your arrow accidently killed a wild bunny.
"I genuinely think they are too heavy for me. in what I observe in myself, I think im far much better using snipers, handguns or knifes." You reloaded your empty mags of revolver. "Lads," Price peeked his head out as the four of you turned to the source of the voice. "Lets do some deathmatch."
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
"Okay the goal is basically deathmatch." Price gave everyone a compass to keep track of where we going. "but, all of you will be using either the paintbal or" he paused for a moment. "an airsoft."
You raised your eyebrow with a questioning look. "what about the mission?" Price looked at you while wearing a sunglasses and a fisherman hat, "Oh, Laswell contacted me and she said we should take our time training. the mission takes place in a deserted island. That is why I decided to play a game of deathmatch." He smiles.
"any questions?" Prive crosses his arm. "Where are you gonna wait?" Soap tilt his head, "duh" he pointed his thumb to the white single chair beach bench behind Gaz. "and youre going to..?" Gaz unfinished question turned into a hum, "I'm gonna chill. you kids go fight. also, dont aim for the head." Ghost, Gaz and Soap sprinted at the last words. leaving you and Price alone.
"(y/n), why dont you go with them?" Price walked over his bench and sat like a retired dad. "Um.. captain," you held your fingers together. "Yes, (y/n). I'm all ears." Gaz took out a newspapers and widened the main page. "By any chance, do you have a..." you cringed at your request.
"combat bow? yellow lid below the wooden table under the ventilation." Price flipped a page, which cause your eyes to spark. "Howd you know?" You smiled at him. "I bought that for you the time your demotion letter were sent to me. archery was in your resume." He sipped his lemonade, still reading the newspapers.
you instantly love him. his gesture of kindness tattooed your head, you have to give him something special for him one day or another. "what are you waiting for, go get it." He flips the paper again. "Thank you!!" you got to your feet towards the airsoft shed.
upon arrival, you saw Gaz, Ghost and Soap chattering together with weapons in their grasp. all of them were in full airsoft gear and it was your first time seeing them in full combat attire. you felt butterflies in your stomach when they walked pass you.
shooking you head, you manage to get in the shed and find the box Price told you to get. you opened it and revealed a beautiful matte black curve bow with strong wires perfectly fit for field combat. but below the shaped foam, you noticed there was another bow.
it was a compound bow. with an armguard, quiver and a few customizable arrows. but what caught you is two kunais and some static ropes. you smiled to yourself and quickly geared up.
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
"I bet you don't last 5 minutes, Jhonny." Ghost mocked. "How do you know, I do cardio at least twice a week." Soap clucked his airsfot shotgun. "How are you going to last more than that in forest when you barely awake 2 minutes in bed." Ghost places his airsoft m4 to his shoulders. Gaz looked at the both of them terrified.
"Hey guys, sorry I took long." the three of them shifted their gaze at you, frozen in place. "I was actually struggling but Did i wear my harness correctly?" you turned your back facing them. the way the straps makes your thigh squished and your ass popping makes all of their jaw dropped.
"remember to stay focus, brothers." Price coughed loud enough for them breaking their gaze. "I-I mean.. you look good (y/n). I- Its just-" Soap flick his shirt as a fan as you walk towards them. "Is it hot in here?" Gaz did the same, waving his hand to his burning face, "Are you hot, (y/n)? I mean you are hot- I mean-" he snickered to himself as Ghost playfully smack the back of his head. "Mouth."
you tied the rope to the round hole in the edge of the kunai, tightening it. "Holy shit, are you going to kill us for real?" Gaz watched you taking out a real knife. "Oh, fuck. no I'm planning to climb the trees with these."
you chuckled at him the re-adjusted the strings of your bow, making sure its not loose. "are you sure youre going to wear that?" Ghost pawn himself to you, looking down to your bow then your shoes. "Oh, this?" you furrowed your eyebrow and look straight to his eyes. "No, the boots." He sternly replied.
you wore a black sleeveless turtleneck and a tight black gym pants. Soap told you wearing these wont affect much training in the range but for outdoors, I think (y/n looks fine.
You are wearing a Bershka buckle heeled Boots in black. you swifted your foot to the side, showing the shine of the leather to him then scoffed. "At least I want to be stylish when defeating you. humph," you walk past him but he stopped you by placing his enormous hand to your stomach level.
"I know its painful wearing heeled footwear, (y/n)." you look at him SURPRISINGLY soft. "As long you are comfortable, you can use anything you want. just remember, theres no fashion standards in here. Please make yourself pleasant." he finished and joined the others to the starting line, leaving you flabbergasted.
'THE COLD CASPER IS TELLING YOU TO MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME. THE COLD CASPER IS TELLING YOU TO MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME. THE COLD CASPER IS TELLING YOU TO MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME.' its not a flooded thoughts anymore, its a fucking tsunami.
"alright, sergeants. get into position." Price stated, still in his beach dad mode. you clung the bow to your back feeling soap's eyes at you. "You seriously gonna use that thing?" He chuckled. "I like my fighting style similar to my money," you draw a smirk "Old money."
"ready?" you stanced ass up, of course theyre gazing at you. "set," you draw sketches in your mind what to do next. "Go!" you lunged your knees so fast it left a hole in the ground. you felt yellings from behind, mostly Gaz and Soap's
"HOLY FUCKING SHIT SHES FAST" you cant tell if thats Gaz's or Soap's. you were far beyond allready. with your tied knifes, you jumped and throw one of it towards a huge tree and swing towards those steady large stem, climbing it.
the heels you wore made you climb the trees easier. it spikes your weight to the brances and makes you jump easier. even though you feel a slight pain in the joint in every step, you gaslight yourself that you are fine.
from tree to trees you go. you have the lower body power of a God. in distinction to thousands of miles walking around a shopping centre from around the world, your legs can kick nearly 100,000franklins. not a world record, but still something youre proud about.
you tried to look around for your first victim, but your focus was striked as a paintball went close to your side, painting blue at the branch you sat on. "You missed!" you yelled at whoever shot that to you and quickly jump to another tree
you guess that was Gaz but he was nowhere in your sight. you gambled your guesses that Soap mightve been close to Gaz because the two of them are most likely too noisy to be hidden. hunting Ghost would be the hardest for you but you want to at least beat someone.
as you were on top, you took your bow and get the arrow into the sight, aiming to the grown. you saw Soap creeping around tall grasses from an approximately 40 meters north-east in your position. you shot your plunger arrows towards Soap's shoulder and he screamed in high pitch.
"Fuck! good job, (L/N)! wherever you are.. oh there you are" Soap waved his hands at you which you returned. "I was about to aim to your heart but I'm afraid you might fall for me, Scrub daddy." you winked at him and jump to another tree, searching for Gaz.
Gaz, from another slight distance got scared from the scream and quickly scattered. you were to quick to guess where he went, but your focus broke when a splatter of paint went through your side hitting a tree. "Fuck." you quicken your pace to find a safer spot to camp.
you heard a low grunt from somewhere and assumed quickly that was Ghost. not wanting to waste anymore time, you swung yourself throught the branches from one and another, still getting shot at from behind. this time, Gaz spotted you.
Seeing a bush of plants, you rolled yourself mid air and down to the ground swiftly equip your bow to shot. refusing to make any sound, you stood still waiting for Gaz to approach you first. "(y/n), i saw you~" Gaz whistled and nerved his gun.
From the source of his voice, you knew he is around front-right side of your spot. you observe how the wind blows and the sound of leaves brushing againts each other, you pulled the arrow close to the side of your ear, aiming and gambled on how he made sounds.
one snap of a twig, you swifted your left hand and release. "OW JESUS FUCK" Gaz's claim gave a wave of relief in your heart. you pushed the bush away revealing Gaz holding his thigh with a plunged arrow sticking out.
"You okay, Gazzy?" you cooed and leaned to the tree. "Fuck you're so good, (y/n). good job." he laughed and walk towards Price's previous spot. "hm, kinky." you walk the other direction. he probably came at your statement.
You jabbed the Kunai side by side, creating a rope trap for Ghost if he ever cross the path. You knew hes not easy to caught but the least you can do is having something to watch your back. proud of your (not) good idea, you climbed a tree and hid.
not too long after, you heard rustling from across your tree. taking your chances, you aimed at whatever made that noise. and there you can see it, the top of his helmet. You gave him a warning shot by aiming inches from his head.
you peered your gaze down to your trap, biting your lip when the trap you set was disabled. "Fuck, he knew." you hissed and looked back at your compound sight.
you lost him after. you stood lazily on top of the branch and tried to look around. not long after you felt a piercing gaze from the right side of your view. you shot another arrow to a suspicious bush. but suddenly a paintbullet striked at the side of your face hitting the tree, but you anchored your body to the side too heavily.
you dodged a bullet, thats one realisation. second, you lost balance and fell. "(Y/N)!" Ghost's source of voice is nowhere to be seen but you feel yourself falling to the ground.
you landed nape first and you laid down in silent. "Fuck." you grunt in pain, crawling to the clostest bush you can find just to be hidden from plain sight. unfortunately, it has thorns but you were too lightheaded to feel more pain. you pull out your bow again and aimed towards your guesses for Ghost's bearing.
feeling your head dizzy, you accidently released your arrow and you fell to your stomach, now exposed to the forest and the person you shot. to your surprise, you saw Ghost standing in the distance, with your plunge arrow right in his heart.
at least thats what you saw before you blacked out. "Bloody fucking hell, (y/n)" You feel a soft touch to your shoulders and your back is met by a fleshy feeling. you assumed that someone placed your head to their lap. "Holy shit," Gaz's voice lingered around the air as you just painfully still there. "Did she hit her head? yes she fuckin did oh my God" you could hear Soap opening a zipper.
"I lost my vision," you said laying still in assumeable Ghost's lap. "She lost her vision?!" Gaz crawled to your side. "How many fingers am I holdin?!" He hold out two fingers. "....ten" you muttered. "Oh shit she did-" Gaz said as Soap poured out the contents of his bag.
"Fuck I forgot my portable medkit." He curses. "This will do," you feel yourself ascending to the air as Ghost picked you up, not bothering about the arrow that plunged in his chest. "Gaz, Soap, clean her shit. now." He tosses you to his shoulders unintentionally bared your ass out which made the other two stared. "Eyes down, sergeants." Ghost hissed at the two as he ran out of the forest.
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
"You're not going to die, (y/n)." Price said patching up your back. you got a twig and a few cut thorns sticking in your back. you got blacked out for a few moments because your head was thrashed to a nearby rock. "But captain technically I'm dead now.." you muttered and whinced in pain as he pull the last thorn in your back.
"Why are you dead, (y/n)?" Price dabbed rubbing alcohol to a cotton to your back. "My skin is all bruised up now... my years of bodycare routine is wasted." You pouted to him. "(y/n), you'll be facing worser gushes than this. you have to manage, alright?" he wrapped a bandage over your stomach and back. "even with scars, you are still a beautiful girl."
you got back outside the field to see Gaz, Soap, and Ghost surrounding a table. you peered over to see and your eyes widened in horror. you compound bow broke into pieces as the only thing keeping it together is the strings. "Oh my God I barely used that" your knees weakened and Soap caught you on time.
"its alright, We'll tell the factory to make another." Soap patted your head and leered to your exposed bandages. "You good? I mean these" he poked your back and you stood at your feet. "Oh those are fines just a small cut." you place your hands to your hips and swayed to the side, "I'm hurt but I still look hot." you blew a kiss to him which he sneered.
"Alright, folks. Let's talk about illegal smuggling." Price place himself between you and Soap as Gaz and Ghost across the three of you. "Yippie!" you clasp your hand excitedly and watch Price scroll open the map. "(y/n), thats...not something to 'yippe' about.." Gaz frowned. "I'd like to have a coquette war crime." you sway your hair.
"Laswell detected an illegal drug smuggling and suspicious movement in the east. unfortunately they have a hostage." your smile dropped. "An Iranian prisoner is loose and assumeably made a new base undergound Verdansk," Price marked a specific land in the map with a red ink. "the hostage is an 18 years old daughter of the legislation supreme court"
when Price was explaining the mission, Ghost stared at you with an empty expression. his eyes look dull and dark. you noticed this but tried so hard to not exchange look with him.
you knew this is would be going down, you overheard Kate Laswell talking about it to your former chief, Artofay. It was bigger than what Price is explaining right now but you conclude hes just simplifying things out to make the mission more pivot. if it weren't for the demotion, you're probably at a spa right now getting ready to slay this mission over.
maybe in another universe, Leon Kennedy was your husband and you didn't get demoted. another probability that you are 141's intel for Verdansk but instead you're here being in the same team and deployed on field.
"I want everyone to be careful because we have no idea what drug they have," Price pointed the Verdansk city and Urziskan city. "there could be an injection drug, an epi-pen drug, gas drug. Verdansk is the orginate of the underground black market. I want to hear no report about any of you getting drugged." Price's tone turned sharp and serious.
"Pack for a week, we'll leave tomorrow by dusk." "Yes sir." we said in unison. "Gaz, I want you in the front line with me, Soap you will be a recon, Ghost as a watchtower and (y/n)," the mens tilts to you. "No heels." you gasped in offended.
"What?! thats bullshit." you protested. "you're bullshit," Ghost spat out. "Ghost!" Price beats the potential arguement. Gaz and soap looked at each other knowing its not the right time to talk or joke about it. "(y/n), I understand how much...vogue meant to you. but we will be going to a possible hostilities," Price softly explain to you like you are 5. "I'd like for you to wear something...safe." he finishes.
"Captain, I refuse." This time you stated coldly. "I'd like to prove it to you that I'm a woman whose capable of engaging any sort of combat in any sort of attire," You took a deep leap of faith. working in heels wasn't just a bragging thing, but its your signature way in doing your job.
Its also another way for you to remember that you mothet is always watching you. Heels meant more than fashion to you, you hold on to her decaying memories by wearing them nearly every occassion. Your mom is a huge poignant figure in your life and you'd force yourself to remember her as much as you can for the rest of your life.
but the men you're dealing now, they ain't shit. this is why you prefered working alone or with girls back in the FBI. but you don't expect the world to revolve around you, it's not how it works. really sucked to be integrated with a group of people who doesn't understand you except yourself.
that's where you have to save yourself, because who will?
"If you know about the compound bow, then I assume you know the reason behind the heels, right captain?" you smiled softly, yet cold. your eyes like siren, gazing to him for ruth.
he finally sighs in defeat, "Only if you bring a back up shoe. you know what? dismiss. 6PM in my office though." he rubbed his temper, which made Ghost iritated. "Thank you, pops!" you hugged him tightly enough to make him croaked and walk away happily leaving the four behind.
"Captain." Ghost looked to Price drawing dissapointed in his gaze. "Ghost." Price is too tired to argue with the skull man allready, Soap held Ghost's shoulder and sighs. "..Jhonny," The british tilt his head down to his mohawk. "Nah, man. let her be." Gaz commented at the telepathy phenomenon.
"Bloody fucking hell all she had to do was listen." Ghost grunts and anchored his fist to the table. "You doubt too much, Riley." Price exclaimed. "Do you not see she fell from a tree because of those damned heels?" Ghost pointed back to the forest they were practicing at. "Riley, she shot an arrow to your heart with a compound bow like a cupid, don't get me started." Price took out a cigar and lit it up.
Gaz and Soap wheezed at the fact you technically won the friendly deathmatch but stopped when Ghost glared at them. "Have a little faith, believe her for once." He huffed out the nicotine air. "Just because shes new in here, you shouldn't forgot where she came from. She goes to hell like a vacation," Price shooks the cigar, letting the ashes fall to the ground.
"The Devil wears Prada, Riley."

Refined Stagger Sonic Moveset Concept (PS4 Controller) = (ain't no way anyone reading all this (also this is outdated now))
(Blue Emerald)
-
Chaos Action (s) =
-
Boost - Hold R2 to give a small boost of initial momentum, you slowly accelerate the longer you hold the button, you can triple tap the button to instantly go to top speed, but it's such a drastic increase of speed that it's difficult to control and not recommended (also the level design wouldn't account for it most times, so it wouldn't even be fun), the boost damages enemies if you run into them, you can boost in the air too, but it's significantly weaker to ground boost, effectively turning into Generations Air Dash. Jumping in a boost state will not curl you into a ball, and by the time it let's you curl, it's already killed enough momentum for a boost jump to not be able to fly through the air off a high place at Mach 10, it's fun when you jump from flat ground to flat ground though.
-
Homing Shot - Tap Square or R2 in the air when the target appears to home in on a target, targets can be enemies and level elements, the speed homing attacks happen in will almost always be dependent on the speed you enter them unless your speed is less than a spindash amount, hold down the button during and then after a successful homing shot to instantly home in on the next consecutive target without needing to let go of the button (it will show you which target is next), keeping all your momentum (not that momentum matters because you have boost now).
-
Base Moveset =
-
Running - Uses Left Analog Stick, running is momentum based Sonic has a 10% higher max base speed and 5% more effecient momentum gain and retention, at any speed above spindash, you'd be able to run on any surface, ignoring gravity, you can run on walls or ceilings, you're even able to run on the surface of water.
-
Turning - is based on your speed, the faster you're going, the wider your turning circle is, you'd need to rely alot more on the drift at max speeds, but jogging speed you can turn around almost instantly.
-
"The Zone" - Running at max momentum for long enough will build up a second meter, when maximized, Sonic will be slightly faster, invulnerable to enemies but not environment, and have an after image effect, this will also increase his Ring collection zone, and let him perform Tricks slightly faster, this lets Sonic build Chaos Meter faster, even letting him build up past up to twice the limit. slowing down, stopping, or losing momentum will end The Zone.
-
Drift / Whirlwind - Hold L1 / R1 at above spindash speed to drift, it will turn you in the direction based on the button pushed, it has a much smaller turning circle, letting you turn tighter corners without losing momentum, exiting a drift more than 25 degrees will reward you will a boost of momentum, drifts will reward you with more momentum the bigger turn you perform, Rolling will tighten the turning circle even more. Drifting in a complete circle during Flow State won't reward you with any momentum, but it will make a whirlwind that draws items, enemies and rings into the center of it, the size and power of the whirlwind depends on the speed and tightness of your drift ring. after 2 full rotations you can hold Triangle to aim from the center of it and launch yourself in the aimed direction.
-
Dodge Step / Parry - Tap L1 / R1 for a quick step to the left or right (based on the button pushed), it will also circle around a targeted enemy when close enough. holding both the buttons down will make you hold for a few seconds, when you're hit with an attack, you will send it back, the holding Parry state lasts one second and holds you in place a little bit, it kills momentum, but resets your air jump. a Perfect Parry will slow down time for a few seconds.
-
Jump / Double Jump (Air Jump) - Press the X button to jump, it will send you into a jump ball, you have less air control in a jump ball, but you carry momentum through the air losslessly, you are invulnerable to enemies but not environment exactly like rolling. A double jump uncurls you, you go into free fall, you have tighter air control at the cost of momentum, also, you turn around instantly, but it kills momentum the more abruptly you turn, but you can instantly change direction of an air boost if you make a mistake.
-
Roll - On the ground, Hold square to roll into a ball, letting go will uncurl you again, the ball damages enemies, on declines, the ball state gains momentum easier than the running state, but loses it much easier on inclines, making you switch dynamically, also, Roll Drifting has an even smaller turning circle at high speed, letting you turn near 90 degree angles without losing momentum. In the Air, tapping the button will curl you into ball state if you weren't already, you can also tap again to uncurl, this air curl is turned off and replaced with Homing Shot during Chaos Action.
-
Spin/Drop Dash - Hold L2 to rev, you can do this on the ground or in the air, letting go will send you off with a small boost of momentum, it stacks on top of your existing momentum, it doesn't matter how long you hold the button, it will give you the same Speed From Still everytime, the fun comes in dropdashing to add momentum bit by bit when you have the chance, and spindashing in tight areas you need it.
-
Drop Slide / Bounce - In the air, hold Circle until you reach the ground, this will drop you to the ground quickly, at the end of the drop, you will slide on the ground before running again without losing any momentum, the slide can also damage enemies. Tap circle in the air to bounce, which works exactly like it does in Sonic Adventure 2, you can tap it repeatedly.
-
Crouch / Peel Out - Holding Circle while on the ground and moving from still to jogging will make you Crouch, this Crouch state changes how Spindash Revving works, you mash L2, the more you mash it, the more initial momentum you build up, letting go will boost you off with up to 4 times initial spindash speed. also crouching makes you invulnerable to enemy attacks but won't parry.
-
Kick Bash - Tap R2, uses a targeting system (based on camera) to kick a bullet of stored Chaos energy at a target (will cost about 1 Ring worth of Chaos Guage), like enemies or level objects, you can do this in the air or on the ground, you can hold to aim up to 3 targets before unleashing the attack, with an upgrade, aiming slows time. Without a target, the kick bullet will fly forwards, you can catch up to it, running through a kick bullet will convert the energy back into momentum, giving you a boost of speed.
-
Twister Dash - Double Tapping R2, or Hitting R2 while holding X will activate Twister Dash, Sonic will spin violently, he slowly falls, mash X to rise in the air (also use this time to aim the direction you want to go in), this rising will also build up momentum energy, after a certain point, he won't rise anymore, that's your indicator for fully charged, hit R2 again to release, it will air boost you in the direction you aimed as fast as a spindash (without even needing Chaos Action). this move is amazing for saving yourself from mistakes.
-
Air Tricks / Trick Attacks / Ring Dash - Whenever airborne, tap Triangle to perform tricks, they fill up the Chaos Guage, worth half a single Ring. when close enough to an enemy, tricks will be available at all times, functioning as an attack button, you can tap it to damage an enemy, but you have to time it right as you intersect with the the enemy, this works in the air or on the ground, you can hold the button to aim in any direction (this slows time), after defeating the enemy with a Trick Attack, you will rebound in that direction, it should be easy and satisfying enough to not need homing attack. Near any trail of Rings, hold Triangle to fly through the ring trail, it is dependant of your entering momentum unless you are slower than a spindash.
-
Rail Grinding - You will automatically grind on rails, the entered speed depends on your momentum, you can hold circle (crouch) to gain momentum on declines, you can also roll and rev (spindash or dropdash) on rails, but in roll state, you need to use L1 and R1 to balance yourself, you will fly off if you're not careful, also you can't rail switch in roll state, you can use L1 and R1 to Rail switch in standing state. you can also Trick on rails, but rail tricks are slower per Trick than Air Tricks. Flow State will make momentum barely apply to rails, you will grind at the speed entered regardless of the incline of the rail, declines will still add momentum though, but during Flow State, inclines can only spend momentum that's been gained from the same rail, so the speed you entered in is your minimum speed until Flow State runs out.

FFVII : Remake
It's been about 2 years since I bought it cheap, and I've finally finished it.

I remember well when the game released: Me and my neighbour never had much in common, but one day, they approached me "You look like someone who plays Final Fantasy VII. How'd you like the Remake?"
And I went "I don’t like that they changed the story." which was met with some incomprehension.
So why did I buy it if I didn't like it from the start? Because it's the best FFVII has ever looked. From the look to the gameplay, FFVII was successfully upgraded to today's gaming standards.
And, after actually playing it (and finishing it), I have to say that my biggest beef isn't with the changes to the story - or, well, it is, but not so much with the multiverse / time-travel thing Square added on top.
But let's not get ahead of myself.

Graphics
This is the criteria in which FFVII Remake shines the most. Whether you're playing on PS4 or PS5, the graphics are simply stunning. The world, monsters and characters are all the most detailled and realistic-looking they have ever been (and that's taking the movie into consideration).
I can very well imagine that there are players out there who wanted to play the original FFVII but were put off by its heavily outdated graphics. In all honesty, even its immediate successor, FFVIII, which also released on PS1, looks much better by comparison.
One potential caveat I've noticed is that passages in FFVII:R are often very long and narrow. I'm assuming this is a way to better manage the PS4's resources, as being able to see less of the level at once allows the console to preload more objects in the background. Yet while walking along those passages can get a little boring, they fit the setting of the crowded metropolis.

Gameplay
It took me a while to appreciate the revamped gameplay, and despite of being a long-time gamer and friend of turn-based RPGs, it's not the action part I had a problem with. In fact, FFVII:R needed to have action gameplay in order to appeal to the gamers of today. And it did a really good job in that aspect. I especially like that every character can be controlled in battle and they all feel unique.
What irritated me at first was how the old ATB system was integrated. Take the Air Buster boss fight for example. It requires you to precisely time your dodges, blocks and hits to minimize damage to yourself - but at the same time, you have to issue commands to your team mates. And every time you bring up the menu, time slows to a crawl. It has to, because there's so much stuff to consider and choose from. Yet at the same time it breaks the flow of the "action part" of the fight. When you're done navigating the menu - were you about to dodge or block or attack?
Something else that often came up as a problem was having the wrong type of materia equipped to properly deal with an enemy, or running out of MP to use it. The Hell House boss fight is a perfect example for this problem as you need to have Ice, Thunder and Fire equipped to handle it effeciently (and Assess, ideally, to help you figure this out). More often than not, it's not possible to rely only on the action part of gameplay during fights.
However, as I progressed through the game, both issues became less and less prominent - largely due to characters gaining more materia slots and growing in strength.
I did enjoy especially the Rufus boss fight as dealing with him was all about the right timing.
Last, but not least - I wished there would've been an option to change the character that is controlled in battle by default. I often stuck with Cloud as sometimes enemies were already half-dead by the time I had switched to another party member. Perhaps Rebirth added this Quality of Life feature?
Music
I do like most of the arranged tracks, except for the battle and boss theme, but I don't like the jukebox music. It's simply too different in style and tone from the original tracks it's based off.

Story
Defying Fate
As mentioned before, and as you'll likely already know, FFVII:R wants to be Canon Divergence rather than a faithful recreation of canon. And it draws attention to that by introducing a subplot about ghost-like beings that try to maintain the original plot, Aerith being aware of the original timeline, and Sephiroth wanting to escape from that timeline.
In the end, our party fights fate - though the reason why never became clear to me. After all, in the original timeline, meteor was stopped, Sephiroth defeated, and the only real loss was Aerith. During the final fight before the final fight in FFVII:R, all of our party members glimpse this future, but Square used only segments from Advent Children to show. What about all the good stuff that happened before that? The arbiters of fate even save Barret (and, arguably, the whole party) in the last chapter - if anything, sticking to fate up until just before Aerith's death should seem desirable.
I mean, this isn't FFXV, in which the entire world went straight to hell.
Sephiroth
Sephiroth doesn't make much sense, either. But it's not like I had expected that from him, anyway. Sephiroth doesn't need a clear motive. But what he needs is a good build-up. To me, Sephiroth being known far and wide as a video game villain doesn't excuse him lacking a proper introduction in Remake. In the original FFVII, Sephiroth wasn't heard or seen throughout the Midgar episode at all. But he was there - the ominous, dark presence that caused a power outage, dragged Jenova's body around the building and had already killed the Shinra President before the party got there.
Sephiroth was like a powerful, invisible threat (like Jaws, or so a developer once said). The story telling had you on edge, awaiting his reveal and the subsequent battle. And while today, we already know it's Sephiroth, I still think revealing him right at the start in one of Cloud's hallucinations was a huge missed opportunity to build up the player's anticipation.
The pacing
The pacing in this game is what raisins in nut mix are to some - the one thing that spoils the experience. There are so many scenes that require you to follow an NPC *veeeery slowly* (and do not allowed you to turn back to explore) - the plot takes numerous detours to explore characters that had very little relevance in the original (such as Jesse, Biggs and Wedge) or were created exclusively for Remake (Johnny, Leslie, Tifa's Landlord Marle).
Sadly, none of them or their stories contribute to the overall plot of FFVII or the backstories or development of the main party. Due to this, they end up serving only as filler to pad the Midgar segment of the original game from 5 to around 40 hours.
I would like to argue that focusing on the main characters; for example, by giving the player Tifa and/or Barret and/or Aerith-centric side quests, the time could have been spent in more meaningful ways.
A few of those "detours" were meaningful, however. For example, Cloud and Tifa interacting with one of Sephiroth's clones. In the original, they were bizarre NPCs with extremely limited dialogue (if any) whose relevance became clear only much, much later. And, of course, Barret confronting President Shinra - a meeting that could not happen in the original as the President was already dead at that time.
In conclusion
FFVII:R is a very mixed bag. Some will like it - for example, those die hard fans of FFVII, and also a decent amount of people who never played the original or knew what it was about. Which is ironic, as Remake relies on that knowledge to some degree. However, the primary plot of the Midgar segment is the "Avalanche vs Shinra" subplot, so not knowing what the game is about in general should cause only minor to medium confusion. And, let's face it; Japanese RPGs are often difficult to fully understand, anyway, since their plots can be very complex.
If you're like me, and were looking for a faithful recreation of the original that utilizes all the processing power of modern consoles; It is that, but almost exclusively in terms of gameplay. It tried to add to the original story, but failed to expand the universe in meaningful ways, thus damaging the plot and pacing instead of improving on it.
I haven't played Rebirth yet, but if it contains considerably less padding (which I'm expecting, as Rebirth is not tied to Midgar as its location), you might be better off skipping Remake and picking up Rebirth right away.

I scream but no sound comes out.
My throat tears with a resounding and desfening silence.
A silence that blazes a trail from the deepest depths of my body,
Burning up from my ankles and searing my thighs
Scorching its way ever upward through my chest like a phoenix reborn taking flight from the abyssmal circumstances that brought about its demise
It razes its way ever upwards through me reaching my throat searing my flesh
crying to be free
But i send the desperate plea plummeting downward crashing back down and all that comes out is a resounding silence.
I look to the mirror its silvered sheen reflects what i know and fear back at me.
A snarling visage of cynicism and spite, its gaze piercing me like the fangs of a rabid beast starved of prey
I want to look away but its gaze petrifies me a satisfied gash of a smirk slices its way across the beasts face as it knows it's found prey to feast upon.
The deafening silence of a cry unanswered burns its way up through me like a phoenix rising from the ashes once more
Once more there is only the cry of a deafening silence as the beast devours me.
A miasmic darkness envelopes me
I flail blindly as panic creeps ever closer
Unyielding
Unrelenting
I feel a familiar frigidity as icy numbness begins to sprawl across my heart
For a moment I consider fighting off the arctic apathy and in that moment i hear the chthonic snarl of the beast simultaneously i feel the ensnaring chains of anxiety choking me
Leaving me paralyzed and forced to stare back into the leering medusa gaze of the beast
The toxic miasma flowing from its slavering jaws
Time stands still as the beast patiently and effeciently feasts upon its captured prey.
I do not know when the beast ate its fill of my fear and agony but when i open my eyes the sun is firmly planted in the sky
Like a bolt firmly screwed into place and for the briefest of moments i stretch and feel as though i am not what awaits me in the looking glass, and then i hear the hateful growl of the beast, prowling forth from my bruised lungs and crawling its way out of my aching throat.
Sitting up i defeatedly glance towards the looking glass pleadingly and for the briefest of moments i see myself and lay back in relief only to look at my arms and see the bristling coarse fur of the spiteful hound of hell in place of my own.
A silenced scream burns its way up through my body and noiselessly escapes my singed throat.

sleep and it’s importantance
sleep is so so so important for many reason. it is essential for our bodies to get sufficient amount of sleep. quality sleep positively affects your:
mind
- thinking clearly and effeciently
- get along with people better
- better memory
- more creative thinking
- statistically better grades
-improved mood
body
- regulates appetite
- helps keep you at a healthy weight
- little to no dark circles
- boosts blood flow around the body leading to a glowier, alive complexion
- promotes growth for younger people
health
- improves excercise performance, leading to a many things (healthier body, organs, brain function, etc…)
- get sick less often
- lowers risks for contracting other diseases
-boosts blood flow around your body
how much sleep should i get?
your body needs at least 8 hours of sleep per night to function.
tips for sleeping:
1. avoid screens for one hour before you fall asleep (substitute screens for skincare, baths/showers, read a book)
2. try light-moderate exercise before bed. this will make you more tired and improve sleep quality
3. make your room super dark. as dark as possible. your body has photoreceptors on your skin that sense light, so any light in your room will make your body’s circadian rhythm will think it’s daytime and make your sleep lighter of wake you up.
4. get a good sleep schedule that works for you. i recommend doing this by setting your schedule up in the health app on your phone (apple) or setting an alarm to wake up (android). to find a sleep schedule that works for you, try to work from when you have to be at school/work and figure how much time it takes for you to get ready and get there, then subtract a little more time than how much time it takes to get your out the door. from them, set a goal for how many hours of sleep you want to get each night and use that to find the right sleep schedule for you.
5. don’t nap during the day. if you’re tired, plan on going to sleep earlier. napping during the day will give you more energy for later when you’re supposed to be asleep and ruin your sleep schedule.
6. make your room easier to sleep in. make sure the temperature, air quality, bedding, pajamas, noise, and the environment in general are comfortable to sleep in.
never forget about beauty sleep. it’s an essential that is overlooked. sweet dreams!

Another reason organ based is more helpful: intersex people exist. There are women born with testicles and men with ovaries and i can only see benefits to it being organ based because it accommodates how different from one another people can be
Exactly. Ntm it would cover the already reported -ectomy procedures that remove part of or the entirety of an organ that would potentially require hormone replacement therapy or other medication considerations. Did you know one of the most effective IBS-D medications CANNOT be safely taken in the absence of a gallbladder? Prostectomies can result in ED, urinary incontinence, and testosterone deficiency. Hysterectomies can led to major detrimental hormone imbalances. Intersex patients are at risk for the same diseases their cisgendered peers have simply by virtue of the organs being present or by the unique hormone environment they have as result. Ectopic pregnancies can be life threatening and early detection in someone with fallopian tube dysfunction or other risk factors could save a life.
Inventories just make for a better organized prophylactic routine and a more targeted and effecient treatment plan for those with complications. Every body is unique. Doctors know and report with that in mind. It's stupid that the non-medical officials have built a system that doesn't flow WITH providers but rather against.
Did you know the same government decision makers also won't consider an amputation a lifelong condition like say lupus because, and I'm dead serious, they explained on a national conference call that "some grow back". After we asked "Uh which ones?" they stopped trying to explain it. We just have nonsensical protocols in many places that were created by non-medical minds.

How social media has helped families, social workers and the government in discerning information during calamities?

Social media arose in the midst of the modern technology and its effects had an impact not just in the community but also in the cultural aspect. Before social media, information is scarce and disseminated in an uneasy and hard fashion but as the time goes by, technological advancement of mankind evolved and information dissemination goes along with the flow.
Information is just "too easy" to get with modern technology and it affects the information dissemination capacity even in the small unit of gov't, the barangays. social workers , families and the government gained so much with this easy, cost effecient, and wide range method for giving information especially in time of calamities and devastation. the greatest example of this is the current situation of the Taal Volcano, with the help of social media, people and residents that live around the TVI or the taal volcano island are alerted and evacuated safely last January 12, 2020. the last eruption of the volcano occured in 1965 and claimed many casualties because of the lack of discerning information during calamities that lead to many lives lost. if we compare these two situations, we can clearly see that the 2020 eruption will win because of the less casualty and residents evacuated.
It helped many families in making the right decision in terms of disaster preparedness and it helped social workers and the local government units for evacuation notices. Disaster preparedness is a factor that everyone needs especially by the government and social media is their key in giving information to the masses for an effecient and proper environment.

Speaking of Honesty
I've been trying to elucidate the deep spirit of Masculine virtue a bit, and I've come across a quandry. I don't know what honesty means. By this I don't mean I don't understand the word or its definition. I even have a place within myself where honesty lives.
But, in that place within me is something that's missing, or perhaps it is missing in whole regarding honesty. To me honesty banishes lies, and therefore secrets as well. I, I don't think I can trust someone unable to lie. Which may seem a strange thing to say, but I mean, in the sense of being able to hold and hide ones mind with purpose.
An unguarded and exposed mind is a dangerous place, for both oneself and the others in world one lives. A guarded mind holds within itself the capacity of moral agency, the ability to separate the self from the group one is in and asses the rightness of Doing within that group. An exposed mind must conform at the conscious level, slowly turning dark and perverse at the subconscious level to protect itself, further degrading the ability to think with moral agency.
The alternative to conformity is conflict and disagreement, which resolves with expulsion or a new conformity. We conform into groups of already like minds and all clarity is lost. The true alternative in all this is for guarded minds to open themselves at times, maintain a deep sense of heart to heart alignment while still holding itself separate within the whole of the collective.
The true free mind has both sword and emblem emblazoned shield with armored mask to hide behind. It travels with compatriots who share spirit, but are of many minds. They cooperate under the guidance of the best of them, but maintain theirselves with agency, able to spot a mistake before it grows, but with a hardened and lubricated exterior that can operate within the whole effeciently during times of stress.
This, how I see this, is the ability to Will Lies into Truth. Different from a Deception, but also separate from Honesty. Many of the "lies" I engage in, emotionally, are to create the future, not to represent the present. But the future changes, and I can see that it changes. If I want to bring the future into the present to change or create it, I must say things that aren't presently true as if they were, a lie, as far as I can conceive, but not a Deception.
I've yet to understand the deep version of the virtuous spirit underneath Masculine honesty, as honesty as I understand it is unsatisfactory to me. But I do understand the equivalent of honesty within the feminine. To be Fair. A fair woman isn't just beautiful with clear skin, the kind of definition we most easily understand today. Nor does the word mean equal, as we also consider it today.
Fair is beauty in all things. Fair is a deep wholesome spirit, the completed feminine. Fair is at balance with the surrounding world, at peace and in place. Fair is Demure pride and Trusted submission. Fair is motherly judgment, the rightful and thoughtful giving of love with specificity to nurture the best within what it is directed to, yet admonish the least.
I don't know an equivalent word for a master virtue within the Masculine spirit. Nobility in its deepest sense, perhaps, could be partly descriptive. But nobility is distant in the modern world, perhaps tragically so, but it is not to hand from what I see in modern man.
Thinking about this more clearly now. Integrity is the precursor to nobility, it may be the right sense of the right meaning for modern times. Righteous pride in integrity is the father of nobility, and not all men are born to be prideful, their pride flows through their hands and into the world so we may all rejoice in it.
The heart of a woman should be Fair, the heart of a man should guard Integrity!
🌳♂️ Masculine Way of Life! 🧔🥊

Week 12 Reflection
This week started back to the Monday webinars which was a relief on my part. I prefer my face not being available for 250 plus students to see. We went on for quite some time discussing UCAs which as an international student that will be studying outside of the uk next year was very educational. Though we also talked about personal statements and the guides for that would be useful on my part for the motivational letter that I have to write for a couple of uni’s. With that set aside my Tuesday was the first weekly tutorials with Roland to catch up on my work done and what is to be expected further on during the week. We discussed photoshop for Wednesday and we made a checklist of what I should have done by next week same time. I only realised today that that checklist was not work added to what would be expected of me during the week but simply to work that I would have done in workshops. Which could have been the point all along but I’m just slow in realising it. Aside from that it worked, it meant that I was busy everyday of the week, maybe not doing hardcore work but I was working on my quick sketches and doodles almost everyday and today I distilled those sketches into project statements that were made over the realisations I had been making at the end of each weekday from sketching. The work that was done this week was a quite effecient method of working. Even the photoshop, had Roland not gone over it with me it would have taken much longer to do with me listening to videos from the blog.
All this in saying that the weekly tutorials that I had asked to be set up during assessment really do help me to stay on track and with everyone else. It also means I get to talk to someone about my work and I get feedback on it. I will get to bring ideas in to be turned down with a reasonable thought, I won’t be alone in this anymore.
In terms of what I achieved this week, I believe I have a distilled idea for my remix project and I have kept up to date with my blog posts. I worked every single day of the week and I feel accomplished.
What did I learn this week? Well I learned that I suck at remixing, it took me ages to get into a flow of quick sketching random objects together and honestly i am not even quite sure what i have done. Which is probably why i don’t have a theme for my project yet. But I believed I learned quite a bit more than I knew in photoshop, I learned that one block colours look quite nice and might be fun to work further with in future projects, maybe even my remix one. I learned that no matter how hard you work on a lecture, sometimes technology gets in the way. Something so advanced can cause quite the amount of issues when it decides its had enough. (Reference to our Thursday lecture, where his computer crashed and we didn’t get it in the end) As is life.
For what I plan to do next week I believe I won’t really know until Tuesday where maybe I can learn of a theme for my project? Maybe i even will get to start on it? all i know it that Christmas break is less that 2 weeks away and that is disturbing. Yet they did say on Monday that some specialisms get mini projects to work on in that month of break and while i believe that mine will be one of them i also in a way look forward to them. They could be something fun to do with my time and might also look good in my portfolio. Which is something I hope to have finished at the end of January so that i can get my application started early in time for home assignments that will have to be made for Rotterdam. So there i already have plans on what to do during my Christmas break. :)
