Today (11/22) is Good Spouses Day in Japan!

In Japanese, 1 can be read as “i-chi” (in onyomi) and 2 can be read as “fu” (in kunyomi), so if you put 1-1-2-2 together it can be read as i-i-fu-fu, which sounds similar to good: 良い (ii) husband and wife: 夫婦 (fu-u-fu)! That makes the day good spouses day ^^

In a similar vein, tomorrow (11/23) is Good Elder Brother Day, cause 2 and 3 can be read as nii-san (in onyomi), so 1-1-2-3 sounds like 良いにーさん good nii-san! Many fma fanartists are already posting a bunch of Edwards as the bestest big bro on twitter xD

Anyways, if we talk about good spouses, obviously it has to be Hughes and Gracia! So I quickly did this before going to bed haha goodnight!!

Unpopular FMA opinion

Roy and Hughes didn't keep in contact after the academy. That's why Roy didn't know Hughes was in Ishval. Or his current rank. Or that he had gotten himself a girlfriend from Central.

Also Roy is not close to the Hughes family, and Hughes preferred it that way. We never see Roy interact with Gracia or Elicia. Not even at the funeral. Hughes doesn't introduce Roy to Gracia at the end of the OVA. All the people invited to Elicia's birthday look like civilians. Hughes keeps his work and private life strictly separated, so Roy was never going to be close to his family.
