How The FNV Companions (+Yes Man and Victor) Show Their Love

Boone shows his love through the concern he expresses whenever the two of you are out and about in the wasteland. He's not too physical, but sometimes you'll find him lingering a lot closer than usual. He is on a constant lookout for anything that could harm you as you're one of his only friends, and he'd be damned if you ever got hurt while traveling with him.

Rex likes to lay on top of you. Just being near you in general makes him feel 10x happier, but he'll try to touch you in any way he can, whether it be headbutting your leg or licking your hand. He just likes the feeling of nearness that he gets from you.

Arcade likes to check in on the people he loves. Just a general well-being glance over to ensure you're doing alright. You won't even realize what he's doing until he mixes something together and encourages you to take it — it's just a little something to help with those nerves of yours, or maybe even your sleeping problem.

Lily will tell stories of her past — little memories from when she was human and living in the vault. She tells these stories with so much passion and detail that you almost forget you weren't there to experience them. It makes her happy to be able to share them with someone again and further solidifies your position as he grandchild.

You'll know Cass likes you when she takes you drinking. She's especially fond if she offers to pay the tab. Alcohol's been her closest friend for who knows how long, so she'll be glad to have a partner who'll participate in this frequent ritual with her.

ED-E likes bringing you little comics and broken figurines he finds scattered around the waste. He always hopes that they'll make you smile since he's always so excited to come across one.

You'll just wake up and Raul will have fixed up one of your weapons or something. He'll spend way too much time trying to upgrade your gear as he wants you to be in as little danger as possible. He'll deny that he was up all night tinkering with your things, but it's only cause he's worried.

Veronica is constantly showing up with something that she thinks you'll like or find interesting. Little pre-war trinkets that'll pile up quickly if you don't have a place to keep them. That or she'll just ramble to you about anything and everything. She's so happy she's found you.

Yes Man likes to follow you around. Usually, he'd just stay put until needed, but with you, he just can't help but want to be near you, just in case you need assistance. He thrives on helping you out and wants to be there in case you ever needed him for something.

You'll find Victor showing up to defend you from danger at incredibly convenient times. He'll say that it's just a part of his programming, but there's always a feeling that he's just saying that because he doesn't wanna admit he's taken a liking to you.

Based off a little moment that happened in the game-

In the middle of his time in Primm, Riley briefly meets Cass when he visits the Mojave Outpost. And we’ll- it’s safe to say that it goes about as well as you’d expect with the both of them. (Incredibly awkward, but funny as hell.)

But they end up being decently good friends, eventually.

How The FNV Companions (+Yes Man and The King) Act When They're Jealous

Boone doesn't get jealous often, but he makes it painfully obvious when he does. He'll deny it, but you can tell something's off by the way he stands straighter and looms over you more. He'll change his posture to make himself seem more intimidating and larger in general. Sometimes he'll even snake an arm around your waist, pull you into his chest, and just breathe into your ear, all while watching whoever it was that made him feel this way to begin with. It usually does the trick in warding people off.

Arcade gets jealous fast. You can tell almost immediately when he is. He'll try to distract you with little tasks to get you away from whoever it is that's making him feel that way. He gets especially upset when someone starts looking at you suggestively. He finds it to be incredibly disrespectful, but he's also just trying his hardest to justify feeling so strongly about it. A lot of the time, he'll just grab your arm and pull you away from situations like that, but other times, he'll just stand there with his arms crossed and huff.

Raul tends to get more insecure than jealous. He's worried that you'll find someone who's human or younger than he is and leave him. He gets especially jealous when people start touching you, platonically or not, although, the only way you'll know if he's jealous or not is when he says something sarcastically that holds little hints about how he's feeling.

You'll know Cass is jealous when she throws her arm around your shoulders or your waist. She gets really possessive and tries to make it as clear as possible that you're dating her. If the person starts to outright flirt with you or do something that crosses all sorts of lines then she'd start sending small threats their way to alleviate the situation.

Veronica doesn't really get jealous, she's more defensive if anything. If she thinks someone crossing a line or boundary of any kind she'll be quick to step in and put an end to it, but other than that, she won't do anything.

Yes Man gets jealous way more often than you'd think. He can do all the things that other person can? Why didn't you just go to him?? He'll be ridiculously passive about it the entire time, saying small things that undermine the other person's capabilities in whatever you asked of them, then he'll be really clingy for about a week after.

The King also isn't prone to jealousy too often, but when he is, he makes a show of it. He'll make out with you right then and there if he feels the need to and all the other King members would cheer him on. He's not at all scared of pda and would gladly show you off if that's what it took to get others off of you.

Rose of Sharon Cassidy

I based my images of Cass on Gwendolyn Christie of amazing Beauty, Charisma and Height (6’3” guys). I see Cass often overly sexualized, with gigantic boobs (bc her shirts open, see, so it makes more sense to bros that way!) … far be it from Moi to police anyones kink. Imo Gwen embodies Cass because I like the idea of an ‘older’ and Tall woman still being attractive and in touch with her sensuality (37 isn’t really old; I’m 35 and I’ll fight u).

I also enjoy a headcanon of Cass & Boone being the opposites who attract as BFF. Cass sees herself in an older sister role to Boone, pushing him out of his shy comfort zones, never hesitating to tease him, tell him off, or have his back in a bar fight. Though Boone does appreciate the solidarity, he finds Cass incredibly irritating - much like a real older sister, go figure.
