Eyo not to be dramatic but Kurtis Conner's new video is one of the most wonderful and beautiful videos I've seen in a WHILE. Literally just a celebration of art, passion, love and sincerity. Stream Feeling Of Victory

I am absolutely positively losing it at how Bo Katan drops the ball so hard. I was prepared for her to be more of an obstacle in the face of Din having the Darksaber, for her to be petty and reluctant to give up any form of leadership she has having gathered the Mandalorians - but she really sat on that throne and gave us nothing.
It’s so Bo Katan to be such a disappointment. To go against what she claims her morals to be. If she really wanted the Mandalorian people to be reunited, for Mandalore to be reclaimed, she wouldn’t have just given up upon not getting the Darksaber. She wouldn’t be turning away anyone who still wants to join the cause of reclaiming their planet. She wouldn’t have given up at such a roadblock if she had really cared for her people and her culture.
Bo tells Din to retake Mandalore and lead them himself, as if there’s no greater joke. Wave that thing around, they’ll do whatever you say. And when he asks if she’s given up, she lashes out. Sits there and says his people gave up long before the purge, how his cult fractured their people, how his beliefs are a joke. How he’s a fool to go to a planet that’s so destroyed it’s hopeless, and he calls her out. I thought you said the curse was a lie, make up your mind.
She only uses ‘our’ when she says ‘our people’ to continue to insult him, accuse him of what she’s done before, what she’s doing now - failing their people. Scattering the Mandalorians. She picks and chooses what traditions and cultures of her people to take to heart based on convenience. She’s not loyal to her people but to her own ideals and power.
This is why Din Djarin has always been and always will be a better leader and representation of the Mandalorians. The way he follows has always been about protecting his clan and himself, but when his tradition is put against saving his child, he saves his child and would do so over and over again. Yet he still wants to atone because the respect of his people is important to him. Versus Bo Katan, who does not care enough about her people to even consider trying to bring them together without being the ruler of them all, to try and keep her people alive even if it means rethinking tradition.
To her, ruling has never been about the people of Mandalore. It has never been about reuniting their people who survived a cultural and a literal genocide. Ever since her days in Death Watch, it has never been about truly leading her people into something better. It has always been about her pride. It has always been about being right.

I needed to kill some time while my test prints ran today so I went into the "for you" tab on Twitter and discovered the most dystopian hellscape known to man. The only post there that didn't do tick damage to my wellbeing was a drawing of some buff anime guy with tasteful dickroot showing. Awful, awful website

Personally of the belief that live action fans who go onto animanga posts uninvited like 'I DESPERATELY NEED YOU TO KNOW THAT I THINK THE ART STYLE IS UGLY EVEN THO THIS OPINION IS IRRELEVANT TO THE POST' should be hit with a big rock. We already moved past this ten years ago, get with it or get lost. Swallow the hunger inside of you that demands everything be palatable to you. Maybe you could stand to be a little uncomfortable for a while
#Keep ur trashy comments to yourself#It's not even ugly! It's just not the conventional anime style so you deem it ugly. That's so fucking sad of you#You're the type of person who sees a piece of art and is like OMG WERE THEY ON DRUGS?!?!?!?!?!#Idk I think the art style is very fitting for the gigantic world Oda has built#People are allowed to be ''ugly'' because not all of us were born to be models. Shock and horror I know#(this is NOT aimed at the ppl who critque the way Oda draws women (to a degree...) bc I agree he could've done the same for women as he doe#The men by giving them way more diverse features and body shapes)#No this is aimed at the ppl who think the style as a whole is ugly and demean it bc it doesn't suit their tastes#Meanwhile their taste is the most conventional cookie cutter bland pretty boy/girl bullshit out there#(I say to a degree up there bc I think ppl go way too far with the criticisms like the one person who posted the Charlotte family identical#Sisters and went LOOK HOW SIMILAR THESE WOMEN ARE ODA SUCKS when they were MEANT to look similar)#^ yes that is an actual post I saw in like 2018 or 2019 when WCI was reaching its end in the anime and it made me die laughing#There are dozens of other examples you could've given but no. You intentionally chose the triplets (quintuplets? It's been a hot minute)#Rebecca and Nami and Vivi and Shirahoshi all having the exact same face with different hair? No I will use the identical twins as proof#What a unique way to undermine your own argument bc I was with you up until that#Anyway yeah the more I think abt the more I think the live action sucks actually for getting rid of Sanji's eyebrows bc they'd 'look bad'#Who cares? It's part of his design. You are cutting off parts of his character. Same w/ Usopp's nose.#Who fucking cares if it would have looked 'bad' or 'ugly'? Is that all you guys really care about? Keeping up appearances???#I'm so sick of the shit I like getting 'remade' to appeal to people who will never actually appreciate why stuff looks the way it does#It's so shallow I hate it#<- yes I'm still bitter about what they did to my boy WW in the three guns reboot iykyk#And Livio and Razlo for that matter. What the FUCK was that about#Idk maybe it's cuz it's something I recognized in myself and attempted to squash so it's frustrating seeing other ppl do it#And again obvs Oda isn't perfect w/ this either as he draws evil women as fat old hags and his protags as skinny and beautiful#Or how he thinks not following ur dreams will make u ugly and fat and following ur dreams will make u conventionally attractive#I get it. Storytelling method. But u can do better. Use colorschemes instead of physical attributes or something like Veneer does

took a gander into the notes of this post and there's a short conversation between the op and someone who says learning to be loved is impossible when there's no one to love you, and op tries to argue, but it doesn't really work for me. see, the original post was great, but i feel like here op tried to be comforting to someone who needs it, and that sort of blurred the original message. when someone tells you they have no one, i don't think saying "that's not true" is going to help and/or endear them to you lmao.
you don't know their situation. someone who's alone, surrounded by abusive or simply uncaring people, is not going to feel supported by a stranger confidently saying there's a nebulous SOMEONE loving them. because where are they, then? why aren't they helping me if they love me so much? is it my fault for not seeing them and letting them love me? it just doesn't work.
and "you ARE loved" is different from "you WILL be loved" which is also different from "i hope you'll feel loved". two of them can sound obnoxiously confident and even uncaring to someone who feels abandoned and unloved, and one is... idk, i feel it's much kinder. at least it acknowledges the other person's feelings and situation instead of trying to smother them with positivity.

Scar: "Mufasa, my dear brother, I've been thinking. Maybe it's time we turn this kingdom into a more... fabulous place."
Mufasa: "Fabulous? Scar, this is the Pride Lands, not a fashion show. What are you scheming?"
Scar: "Oh, nothing much. Just considering a new dress code for the hyenas, maybe a touch of leopard print for the rocks. Spice things up a bit!"
Mufasa: "Scar, we can't have a kingdom ruled by fashion whims. We have responsibilities."
Scar: "Responsibilities, responsibilities. Why not mix a little drama into our royal affairs? Think of it as a kingdom makeover!"
Mufasa: "I'd rather focus on keeping the Circle of Life intact, not turning it into a theatrical production. Leave the fashion to the vultures, Scar."
---------
Scar: "Mufasa, my esteemed brother, I've been contemplating a change in leadership. How about a more democratic approach to ruling the Pride Lands?"
Mufasa: "Democratic? Scar, this is a monarchy. It's been that way for generations. Why change now?"
Scar: "Well, Mufasa, everyone deserves a voice, don't they? A lion for the people, that's what I'm thinking."
Mufasa: "Scar, the Circle of Life has served us well. We can't just replace it with a Circle of Voting."
Scar: "Ah, but think of the possibilities! No more hierarchy, just a pride where every lion has an equal say. It's the roar of the majority!
Mufasa: "We'll stick to the traditional roar, Scar. Democracy might work elsewhere, but the Pride Lands thrive on the wisdom of the monarchy."
Scar: ok ok *whispering* bitch
-------
Scar: "Mufasa, my illustrious brother, have you ever considered the benefits of a monarchy rebranding? A Scar-tastic makeover, if you will."
Mufasa: "A rebranding? Scar, we have a legacy, a tradition. We can't just toss it aside for your... eccentric ideas."
Scar: "Eccentric? Mufasa, picture this: instead of the Circle of Life, we could have the Triangle of Fabulosity. Hyenas in high heels, lions in bowties—think of the spectacle!"
Mufasa: "The Circle of Life has worked for generations. Why fix what isn't broken? Besides, I don't see how high heels would benefit the hyenas in their hunting endeavors."
Scar: "Ah, but Mufasa, it's all about making a statement! We'll be the most stylish ruling duo the Pride Lands have ever seen!"
Mufasa: "I think I'll stick to the timeless elegance of the Circle of Life, Scar. No offense, but your fashion-forward kingdom might be a bit much for the savanna."
-------
Scar: "Mufasa, my naive brother, I've been considering a change in leadership. How about I take over the Pride Lands for a more progressive approach?"
Mufasa: "Progressive? Scar, this is a delicate ecosystem. We need balance and tradition, not your schemes."
Scar: "Tradition, Mufasa, tradition. It's holding us back! I propose a constitutional monarchy with a council of hyenas. Equal opportunity rule!"
Mufasa: "Hyenas? Scar, they're scavengers, not fit to govern. The Circle of Life should remain unchanged."
Scar: "Ah, but imagine the Pride Lands with a modern twist. A Pride Rock democracy where even the smallest insect has a say in our kingdom's affairs!"
Mufasa: "We've been entrusted with the balance of nature. Let's not turn the Pride Lands into a political experiment. Stick to the Circle of Life, Scar."
-------
Scar: "Mufasa, my noble brother, have you ever considered the benefits of a constitutional monarchy? Less roar, more votes!"
Mufasa: "Constitutional monarchy? Scar, the Circle of Life has worked for generations. Why fix something that isn't broken?"
Scar: "Ah, but imagine the hyenas having a say in our royal decisions. Equal opportunities for all, even the ones with a penchant for laughter!"
Mufasa: "Hyenas making decisions? That's a disaster waiting to happen. Our traditions and leadership have kept the Pride Lands thriving."
Scar: "Traditions, Mufasa, are so last century. Embrace change! Besides, think of the catchy campaign slogans we could come up with."
Mufasa: "Scar, this is not a political campaign. It's about maintaining balance and preserving our heritage. No hyena parliaments, thank you."

LWA fanfic - Curse of being neurodivergent
If there was one thing Akko would call a curse, it would be the burnout and the executive dysfunctions. Those would cause days where despite having desires, reasons, energies, and determinations to do thing she love, she just couldn’t do it for some reasons.
It is as if the amount of efforts Akko has to put in to simply move toward her dream and goals just suddenly wasn’t enough.
Akko knew that it was coming soon, but it was still scary. It is just scary to her how no matter what, she just couldn’t move.
As time passed on, her mental health began to dwindled as self-doubts and self hatred flood her mind.
Then she heard knocking on her door and, “Akko? Are you in there? You are 30 minutes late to our illusion magic practice”, voice revealing to be Chariot
‘Oh right, I meant to practice with Chariot today’
After no words went out of Akko’s mouth, Chariot went into the room.
