Got into a bit of an art block again (that, and…I spent all my free time this week thinking about other OTPs of mine + Bleach, eheh…high-key still in Bleach mode, but realized I really ought to get back to drawing), so I decided to take a break and sketch something. Which was a mistake ^^; Want to finish this instead—and I just might, afterwards—but have this sketch for now. A random kingdom AU—I’m sorry, I just couldn’t resist T~T

Was contemplating whether to post it or not, but after some encouragement from a friend, I went with yay instead of nay. Who knows when I will get done with the multi-piece…And this ship needs content 😤

Hints of sun and moon “imagery” because I associate the pair with such. Allow me to try and justify myself, though: 

First off, the main reason—I associate Yukiko with the song “You Are the Moon” a whole lot and just moon motifs in general. Also, Gakushuu being likened to the sun? Of course he’d want that, haha. Not to mention, I did give him light powers in that Elemental AU.

Secondly, their palettes—mainly their hair, of course: Yukiko’s is a cool color and Gakushuu’s is warm. Their eye colors are the opposite, sure, but I like that they have a hint of the other’s palette for that, 1), and 2) Yukiko’s eyes in a lunar context automatically remind me of stars. And this one’s pretty much a stretch, but, ahem…ultraviolet sun rays? Sure, we (er, most of us, actually. Oh, how I envy…) can’t actually see what color it is, but the name paired with the fact that it’s beyond purple give me an excuse, ‘kay?

Anyway, this Kingdom AU might not actually be so random—been meaning to redesign Yukiko’s dress in the “Prince Charming” AU, and giving their respective kingdoms the moon and sun theme is tempting. But I’ll definitely have to ponder that some more.

Cats are wonderful and (usually) very loving creatures. Okay so

I recently joined this Nightmare Before Christmas server (that was the inspiration for me to draw Mr. Hyde in Tim Burton's style) and it has this roleplay channel. Only one, but that is all a gremlin like myself needs.

Because I am very much hyperfixating on Jekyll and Hyde, I wanted to play them on the server SO I DID. Yes, I know that Mr. Hyde is already a character in The Nightmare Before Christmas BUT I DON'T CARE SO THAT MEANS YOU CAN'T YELL AT ME FOR IT AHAHAHA (in all seriousness, we did have a fun Hyde-meets-Hyde moments so it's all good). Anyway. So, I write a starter, right? And things start out generally okay, Jekyll's lost in the woods because Hyde was running away from the authorities and got both of them into Deep Shit™. Eventually, Jekyll runs into Finkelstein (we hate Finkelstein in this house 😤) and Finkelstein questions Jekyll. The conversation gets heated and Jekyll gets very overwhelmed and transforms into Hyde. Finkelstein's like "well shit ig this guy will fit in after all lol" and points Hyde in the direction of Halloween Town. Then Hyde threatens Finkelstein because Hyde's an asshole. This entire interaction leaves Finkelstein rather confused.

(One prolonged interaction involving a witch OC throwing glitter in Hyde's eyes later) Jekyll's eyes hurt, and not just because of the glitter. He's very shocked and overwhelmed by the townspeople because every single one of them sticks out like a sore thumb. Jekyll runs into the mayor, who's looking for Jack, and then he runs into Jack, who's looking for Sally. Then he falls asleep on a bench lol.

He wakes up as Hyde. He meets the other Mr. Hyde (haha you have to keep track of TWO now /j) before Finkelstein walks in saying that he found Jack with Sally, and now he's mad at Sally so that sucks. Anyway, Finkelstein makes a snide remark at Hyde, so Hyde is rude right back, saying that he's "had quite enough" of Halloween Town. Finkelstein says, "Then why don't you just leave?" And Hyde's like "FINE" so he does.

Now we get to the juicy part.

Hyde is sitting in the graveyard, essentially throwing a temper tantrum when he hears Zero barking. He beckons the dog and says this: "You see? Nothing to worry about. I like dogs more than I’ll ever like people, and I especially prefer you over those things in town. I’m not much of a gambler, but I’ll bet you anything that I’m the least interesting person here. And here I thought I liked interesting, hah.”

For those of you who haven't watched The Nightmare Before Christmas, or those of you who've forgotten, gambling is associated with Oogie Boogie. So yeah, that comment about Hyde not being a gambler? Intentional. I'm so fucking cool /j.

So anyway, suddenly, Zero is distressed and runs off into the woods. Hyde chases him. He runs further and further into the woods until he starts to hear a laugh. He slows down. The laugh becomes louder and more menacing. I'll just copy and paste what happens next because I'm lazy:

Hyde stops. He’s heard a laugh like that come out of his own mouth. It’s the laugh of someone who’s about to do something terrible and enjoy it. “Oho, is this some kind of game? I know that kind of laugh anywhere, I’ve laughed it before. Go ahead, I’ll play.”

"A Game..?" The ominous voice declares.

“Well, I did just ask if it was. Is it?” Hyde doesn’t show it, but he feels a little uneasy now.

He is only greeted by the sound of chittering insects, scurrying all about around the trees. A big hairy insect scurries up to Hyde's foot.

“Eugh, disgusting.” He kicks it away.

The creature lets out a screech, then suddenly hundreds of insects make their way down the trees towards Hyde.

Hyde’s eyes widen into an “oh shit” expression. He starts to back away.“Ohhhhh dear.”

Rivers of squirming mass pulsate on the ground. Wriggling, Crawling, Skittering. Sounds of violin being hacked by a meat cleaver rapidly HmmMmMmm.. The voice is heard once more, laughing.

Hyde doesn’t know why, but he’s ridiculously annoyed with that voice. His stomach drops and his neck gets hot in a strange combination of terror and irritation. “S-so…” He clears his throat, desperately trying to sound confident. “So, is this your idea of a game?”

"Yessss AhAH-" The mass of legs and worms and bugs begin to collect in the middle of the path, into one large mass of squirm and gross. It forms as if it were like snow building to make a snowman, until it falls apart, and crawls back up onto itself.

“Erm….” Hyde really doesn’t know how to respond to this. He shifts his weight, uncomfortable. “What exactly are you trying to do here?”

"Fetch me a sack will ya..?"

“Haha,” he laughs awkwardly, “anything to not die, because it looks like that’s where this is going.” He runs off. About a half an hour later, he returns with not one but several potato sacks. “Snatched these from a shed in town, hopefully nobody misses them.”

(Okay back to actually typing it out) The bugs fill up one of the sacks to the brim, and the mysterious sentient bug mass (it totally isn't Oogie Boogie you guys /s) stumbles off and throws itself into a hill which closes up when Hyde tries to approach. Hyde, growing increasingly frustrated, storms off back to the graveyard. After sitting there awhile, three trick-or-treaters come to thank him for helping Oogie Boogie. The exchange is super creepy but I'm not copy/pasting any more because no. (Timeskip to later that night) Hyde can't sleep, so he walks back out into the woods looking for answers. He comes across an OC named Jonnie that, for some reason, gives him a strange feeling of deja vu (these two are dating in another server lol). Hyde's still an asshole tho so he tries to attack Jonnie, who proceeds to knock him down and tie him to a tree. L. After that embarrassing experience, Hyde has had just about enough and spends the rest of the night in the forest. When morning comes, Hyde sees Jack in the graveyard and the two are pulled into an awkward conversation that as of now isn't finished. During this conversation, Hyde lies about having enemies that were out for him, so Jack says this: "Well, in Halloween Town, we're all Friends here..! Well except for that Oogie Boogie.." This causes some internal screaming for Hyde as he unwittingly helped Oogie Boogie in some way. Whoops. He lies about even knowing Oogie.

oh and about my process! Thank you for asking ! I use Ezgif.com to split the gif I’ve chosen to edit into all its individual frames then I download it as a zip and open it in photopea.com and I manually draw over all the frames save them all individually and then put all the edited frames into ezgif again to make it a gif !

i make all my edits on my phone using these websites ! idk how much longer I’ll be able too tho since it takes up quite a lot of space 😭 ive official edited over 1000+ frames and made almost or over 100 gifs 💀

I also have this super old tutorial on how I make my edits, this one Was for a single image illustration but it’s pretty much my procces for editing a bunch of frames only difference is that you repeat the process like 30 times- I hope to remake this tutorial tho !

Sometimes I ask myself why I do gifs when I could just do image edits and 1) honestly I have no idea and 2) I want NO ROOM for any weirdo to call black edits lazy or lazy rep because I see that on some of my friends edits 😤 aint no one can look at the time put into these and call it lazy and if you do ill beat you to death over the screen

Tonight was one of Madrigal's gift ceremonies. You couldn’t quite remember which Madrigal was receiving their gift tonight, but you knew he was the one with curly, brown hair and green eyes.

You walked into the house close behind your family, twiddling your thumbs as you looked around. There were so many people. Your breath hitched nervously. You had only just arrived and you already couldn’t wait for the night to be over.

“Go on, (Y/N), go play with the other kids,” your mother insisted. You sighed, nodding and hesitantly walking off.

However, instead of going to join the other kids, you quickly lost yourself in the crowd and made sure you were out of your mother’s site before scurrying off to one of the hallways to hide away. To your surprise, though, you found that you weren’t alone in the hallway. There was a bulky girl who you recognized to be one of the Madrigals carrying an entire piano on her own, a chair stacked on top of it. She huffed as she did her best to keep the chair balanced on top of the piano.

Suddenly, it came crashing down, but before it could hit her in the face, you instinctively runned towards her, catching the chair. She looked at you surprisedly.

“Are you okay?” you asked her.

She nodded, setting the piano down for a moment. “Um, yeah- thank you.”

“Where are you carrying this stuff? Do you want any help?”

“No, that’s alright, I’ve got it. I’m strong enough to carry it on my own,” she explained, gently trying to take the chair back from you, but you didn’t let her pull it away from you.

“Everyone needs help sometimes,” you replied. You then began walking in the direction you assumed she had been walking. She stood there for a moment, watching you curiously, before picking up the piano catching up to you.

“I’m, uh, I’m Luisa, by the way,” she greeted.

“(Y/N) (L/N).”

“Hm… well, thank you, (Y/N).”

Luisa made you both matching bracelets and she never takes it off, even when she showers.

Hi! You mentioned in a reply to another nonnie that you’re thinking of working on The LoBB again but it sounds like that thought is a little overwhelming to you. My personal thought, but I have a feeling many others would agree with me, is that you should do what brings you joy in your art! The LoBB is a massive, beautiful project and we all love it dearly, but don’t want you to feel any anxiety about keeping it going just for your fans. If your hiatus is months, years, or slowly becomes forever, you should be proud of everything you have created and poured into that work. The thing is, we love all of your art and are so thankful that you share any of it with us. Take time to explore new projects, and feel freedom to come back to LoBB when and if the time is right for YOU. Sending you love!

Thank you so much for you very very kind message and for your understanding regarding  the situation of The Life of Bucky Barnes. I went into hiatus because I was extremely tired, that the artworks were becoming more and more complicated (too many details and characters) and the captions longer and longer. I mean, I could only blame myself: nobody asked for this but the more I was working on this project the more I wanted it to be perfect (which is completely silly 😅) so it became more time consuming and stressful too. I’d like the point out that I was the only one putting so much pressure on my shoulders (because I’m a total idiot 🤓) and that nobody never pressured me into posting more or felt entitled to a certain “schedule”. My beta reader, Vegetamochi, was the most patient and kindest person ever during the writing and when I was on short hiatus, I was actually receiving messages from people who wanted to know when the account was coming back BUT they always told me to take my time and wished me good luck.

But anyway, I stopped for a while because I was exhausted. HOWEVER, this big hiatus is leaving a bit of a bad taste in my mouth because 1) I really want to finish this project and 2) I was SO close to the end. I mean, I drew about 600 artworks for The LoBB and I stopped at maybe 30-40 drawings before the end. I feel like a marathon runner who gave up at 20 yards from the finish line. In addition, I already drew about 7-8 drawings that were never published. It pisses me off because I still ship Steve and Bucky (hard 🤓), it’s not even a question of losing interest. Now, I just have to find the right amount of energy and inspiration to get back to it!

Me getting back into shape to start working on The LoBB again. I’m going to be honest, drawing series of 18 artworks that take two months to complete isn’t helping either.

Anyway, thanks again for your kind words and I hope that one day I’ll be able to announce that The Life of Bucky Barnes is out of hiatus! 😤

heyyy guys, I was thinking abt this the other day and thought why not make a tag game out of it? basically I realised that a lot of the time I find myself coming up with stories for a member that contain similar tropes, that in my view fit best with them

Jin: established relationship I’ve written a lot of different stories for Jin but off the top of my head I would always go for this. he’s just so fun but also dependable, like this boy is emotionally mature !! husband material right there😌

Yoongi: CHILD.HOOD.FRIENDS.TO.LOVERS. okay this is the one that got me thinking for this tag game in the first place, defo my strongest association. I always seem to put yoongi in childhood-friends-to-lovers fics, ig he just seems someone so familiar. it feels right to have him as a character you already know intimately before it turns into a relationship

Hobi: soulmate I’m less certain for Hobi’s one, but this feels right. he’s like a ray of sunshine, something inevitable. in a Hobi fic, I feel like the relationship I write always is always something that’s ✨meant to be✨

Namjoon: period drama okay I know I haven’t posted any full fics for Namjoon yet, but that doesn’t mean there are none in the works! and my fave ideas for him have all been a mix of period drama and him as a sort of guiding figure? just hot smart boy vibes, put him in period dress in an old library and I’ll be happy😤😤

Jimin: brother’s best friend okay, this trope is the closest I could think of that actually had a succint name, but it’s not quite it. but I very often write Jimin in a charming friend-of-a-friend type situation, not total strangers but also not close until the story and relationship starts to develop. he’s someone alluring who will draw you in as soon as you get close enough

Taehyung: strangers to lovers this one was quite hard - in case no one noticed, tae is my bias and I have written the most for him so there’s a bit more variety, but still, one of my absolute fave tropes is strangers to lovers so I think I write this a lot for tae. he’s someone that will come into your life and shake ur whole world up yknow

Jungkook: enemies to lovers I don’t hate you jk, I promise😅 but my jk stories (posted and upcoming) feature this a lot. I know I have plenty of fics for him that are also pure fluff, but most of the ideas I get excited about for kook are e2l stories. I always imagine that kind of passionate, dangerous relationship with someone like jungkook

Life update:

So ready for tour. It’s not a long stretch of shows but I’ve got my hopes to sell out of our merchandise. We’ve got new shirt designs in the world and I’m gonna have my car 😤 I’m having to wire my mind to do some kinda mental organization so I can manage all of the shit I have to do in the day, no one talks about how hard it is to ask for help sometimes

Crazy to think how much of a transition I’m in right now, there’s so much growth happening to me all at once and I’m trying to make all of the best decisions.

Walking away from BS situations in my life are becoming way more satisfying and easier to do. I’ve been so accustomed to tolerating stuff and trying to make things work with people that by the time I’m done with situations I’ve treated people bad.

still fucking with the single life but now it’s a bit of a chore.

I cut off this chick who was an acquaintance of mine. we tried to see where things would go romantically (since I’m leaving and all) and it kinda dwindled (that happens)

Things dwindling turned into her subtweeting me about it saying that I stopped texting her because she didn’t want to have sex with me. I asked her about the tweet and if it was about me (it was) and it turned into an argument.

She was confused why I was even asking her about the tweet. I was just a little upset that it wasn’t something we had a convo about. Things escalated.

I am glad that in the whole process of this I’m allowing myself the grace to leave people tf alone and not try to correct their image of me. Not like I’m perfect or nothing but I think you can tell when people are drawing conclusions in their lives about you and if it’s worth it to correct them or no.

In my past I’ve had a ton of issues with the balance in that, I can’t treat everyone like that. But that chick? peace.

I’ve been fighting with the idea of NEVER being married and having kids of my own. It doesn’t sound all that bad to me, the more I date the more I realize that it’s so many things out here that just aren’t for me. I always get close to what I want out of a person and thennnnnnn… some other stuff

(Again) I’m not perfect but I DO NOT want to bring any child into this world prematurely. If I’m the problem then GOOD, I’ll keep my problematic ass without kids but if I’m not then I’m gonna stay to myself and be a coach or guidance counselor or a teacher or something.

I do like working with kids and being a mentor but also I gotta have shit to show for it!

I’ve been working with these kids who are like 10-11 years younger than me (I’m surprised they’re even fans of mine!) and they are SUPREMELY talented. It kinda blows me away that they actually fw me and want my perspective and advice, these kids are gonna do GREAT things in their lane. It’s humbling as an experience but also it motivates me to do a lot better.

If I’m gonna be an influence I wanna look like someone you want to be influenced by. It is a little embarrassing that I got these kids coming to my house (that I am paying for all things considered) and I don’t even have a whip or anything. I want them to see that they can do what they want creatively and also live good af.
