Jewelweed sprouting her orange flowers. Did you know that jewelweed is a great poison ivy remedy? If rubbed on the affected area it can dissolve the urishiol oil that poison ivy has that causes the dermatitis. The flowers are a nice addition to a salad with spicy taste like nasturtiums. We have a lot of poison ivy in our yard but also a lot of jewelweed! Nature always has an answer for our healing! Also pictured are staghorn sumac berries that make a great chilled beverage and mugwort that has many medicinal benefits.
