Hello forced followers, I have returned from the dead with new and terrible ideas. It’s the third term of my first year in highschool (Year 7) and its the busiest yet. I deeply apologise for the useless reblogs and random doodles and drawings I’ve been posting lately. I will hopefully start drawing and posting this weekend with hopefully new ideas. The Birth of Helen of Troy (badly explained by someone who took a one year classics class)

As we all know, Zeus is famous for sticking his lightning bolt in anything other than his wife Hera because unfortunately for most of Greek mythology, that hoe ain't loyal, and the birth of the famously beautiful Helen of Troy is unsurprisingly caused by the thirsty king of the sky's fuckboi antics.

Zeus’ unfortunate victim is a mortal queen called Leda of Sparta. One day, Zeus saw Leda and immediately decide he was gonna tap that and while she sat by the River Eurotas, he disguised himself as a white swan because, y'know, chicks dig swans. Leda admired swan Zeus and was surprised the notoriously aggressive bird (that once tried to eat my shoe whole) was being so gentle and approachable. When she was off guard, Zeus decided that in this situation, “No” meant “Do it anyway you're a God” and raped Leda. (In swan form, just so she was extra scarred for life.)

Zeus, having done his job as an asshole who should keep his thunder pole in his pants for once, impregnated Leda, who birthed (or laid?) an egg from which the gorgeous Helen and her brother Pollux was born.

And then Helen got kidnapped by Aphrodite that just wanted her OTP and also this gold apple you can get for like £2 on eBay, consequently starting that one famous war a couple books and movies are about, but that's a totally different myth entirely.

(Note: This is probably pretty inaccurate but I also wrote it in like 5 minutes and don't have a degree in classics forgivemepls)
