Is Shamura training martial arts after being taken into Lamb's cult? If they enjoyed complexity and bloodshed of war than it'd be probably dissapointing for them if they had to... drop it all
Full under the cut because this turned out really long
Upon joining the cult Shamura was a shell of their former self. They join the cult dissenting, the long term effects of the crown still clawing at the edges of their mind, but after a few days they’re mortal, just themself. Without the crown to hold them together they suffer like their injury was yesterday.
Tumblr media
The Lamb has the doctor, Puar, perform their usual tests on them. Shamura is hardly there. They don’t know their own name, can hardly speak, can’t stand or track movement.
There was no wisdom in their slurred words. No power in the way their hands shook.
The outlook is bad.
The Lamb doesn’t really want to help them, after everything, why should they. Shamura who had The Lamb’s entire race and family killed, who killed them aswell and countless of their followers. It would cost them so much, to try and help someone who spent so long just trying to destroy them and everything they had. The time, energy, resources it would cost and they didn’t even know if they could get better.
Deciding it wasn’t worth it was one thing, but getting the other ex bishops to understand was a whole other, even the doctor disagreed with them.
Tumblr media
Dr Puar took on being their primary caregiver. They’d been a doctor for the past hundred years and seen concussions and dementia but nothing nearly as severe as this. They wanted to help Shamura but didn’t know how.
It wasn’t until Narinder joined the cult that The Lamb saw any reason to help Shamura. But there was something wrong with him and Shamura knew something, they just had to get to it.
Kallamar was the ex bishop Puar wanted the help from the most. He was scared of the lamb and red crown but he loved Shamura more.
The Lamb took Puar and Kallamar to the ruins of the temples in Anchordeep and Silk Cradle. They spent days digging through the decimated remains of the libraries for something, anything on this type of injury.
Tumblr media
It seemed that they where looking down possible years of intense recovery. Needed herbs and medicines that may no longer exist, techniques Puar had never heard of. But they would try.
Puar took careful and detailed notes. Timed Shamura’s responses, wrote down everything they said, tracked eating, drinking, sleeping and every symptom they displayed. Improvements where slow and sometimes nonexistent at first. They took full minutes to respond and only in single words, barley moved, couldn’t feed themselves and suffered constant migraines.
Tumblr media
The one thing that seemed to help them the most was their siblings. They didn’t remember them most days but every time one of they came to check in it raised their spirits. One of their faces was the only thing they could focus on sometimes.
Kallamar insisted he wasn’t a doctor but still worked around the infirmary, helping Shamura was the only thing he’d do without complaining. Heket spent hours sitting in silence with them, brought them food and flowers and changed their bandages. Leshy was the only thing that could get them to smile and they where the only person he would ever lower his voice for, he told them stories even though they hardly listened.
Tumblr media
Improvements brought new challenges. They got better at speaking full sentences and following conversations but it revealed how fractured their memory was. Forgetting names, places and important events, how often they forgot where they where, they asked the same questions over and over again.
They complained of seeing and hearing things, phantom pains with seemingly no rhyme or reason. The sun hurt their eyes, rain gave them headaches, always sleeping but always tired. They would suddenly backslide constantly. One day could walk with minimal help and the next, couldn’t even hold a pen in their hand. Have a full conversation one day and hardly spit out their name tomorrow.
Until the day Puar looked Shamura in the eye and for once they saw him. Didn’t look past them with their blank stare but looked at them. They would ask to sit outside at night in the fresh air. They seemed to know now who they are, what they where, what they lost. A tinge of grief in their words.
Tumblr media
Improvements brought frustration. On days they remembered who they where they were overcome with a mix of anger, guilt and despair. They where a god. They had bore down on armies, killed men with a twitch of a finger, brought other gods to their knees, and now they could hardly bring a cup to their mouth.
Emotionally, their siblings said they’d never seen them like this before. Before Shamura could be frustrated but their temper was cold and quiet. Now they wore a short fuse and suffered constant mood swings. It angered them that they couldn’t read, that their hands were numb, that they couldn’t walk without a cane, couldn’t go out in the sun, couldn’t string a full sentence together, couldn’t recognize their siblings faces, couldn’t feed themselves, couldn’t sleep without drugs, everything they lacked and lost wore them down.
Tumblr media
Regardless, they where unusually steadfast. They would always pick back up. If they got frustrated they would try again in a few days. They tried anything Puar asked of them, anything for the smallest iota of improvement.
The outlook was better.
—————
This got out of control and took me like three days between the art and write up. I got really excited when I saw this ask cause the answer is so devastating. If I was taking Narinder’s trauma seriously I’m not gonna just ignore Shamura’s traumatic brain injury.
As a side note, I’m very unsure how to write the medical stuff, my guess is that cotl is based around 1300’s-1700’s but that’s a wide net to cast. My excuse for the stronger understanding of medicine and trauma is magic.

Ex Bishops & Caretakers
Once brought back to life and integrated into the cult, those who were once deities themselves have been reduced to mere mortals condemned to immortality. At their side, a caretaker in charge of keeping them in line, helping with their integration and, perhaps, a punishment in itself.
Hey, now there's the complete collection! I have plans for a comic that includes all of them, so I needed a reference of their looks.
I'll add a bit of info about them below.
Tumblr media
**You can find info about Leshy, Heket and Narinder here.
The new additions, Kallamar & Shamura, "The Unwanted".
Kallamar causes a particular disdain in the False Prophet, so going to find him was not a priority until it became inevitable. The confrontation and recruitment of him did not improve that impression, really. He was assigned the clown suit to lower his ego and to work in the refineries. Choosing who would be in charge of him was the easiest, considering that the squid arrived directly to the infirmary.
Shamura is a very special case. There are two reasons why they weren't annihilated once they touch the cult's ground: their lack of memory and their siblings. The False Prophet didn't do much more than give them the golden skull necklace and left the rest to whoever wanted to take charge. It's hard to get a clear idea of what the leader really feels about the spider, but their silence and how they ignore their existence is something the cult tends to share in solidarity.
Tumblr media
Camellia was assigned to take care of Leshy as a "guide cat." Prior to this, the False Prophet had had some problems with him since he was a somewhat violent drunk, so in part, this mission was his rehabilitation. Able to confront the worm's aggressiveness and keep his spirits high, they ended up having a good relationship where they were usually seen laughing while tending to the gardens and the harvest. His grave always has fresh flowers.
Mushu was assigned as Heket's interpreter, since she was the only one who was not intimidated by her and could understand her easily. Cordial and friendly, her personality allowed their relationship, although somewhat difficult at first, to end up being harmonious. Something similar to a shadow, the mushroom girl was there at all times to help the frog communicate. Thanks to her work, the cult learned approach the former bishop and future generations were teach how to understand and communicate with her.
Crystal, the head nurse at the time, was in charge of keeping the temperamental former bishop in line, with permission to use force if necessary. Hurt ego and justified fear aside, she was the only one who showed him sympathy apart from his siblings, so it wasn't strange to see Kallamar wandering around the infirmary even when she allowed him some freedom. Crystals decorate the infirmary to this day.
Aracnia was the only volunteer to help Shamura at the time, since despite their siblings' wishes, the ex bishops weren't able care for them all the time due to their own obligations in the cult. The False Prophet accepted his wish for what it was, simply wanting to help someone in need, so they provided him with whatever he wanted for this task. After his death, it's not strange to see some followers and even disciples take care of the spider on their own. The leader just remains silent.
**Info about the Lamb with Narinder here.
Tumblr media
+ Bonus because I wanted to have a clear reference of all the clothes they have in game and yeah, I did an edit of the lamb with the closed outfit in game that I could use.

As the local Don't Starve autism haver I agree that Webber and Shamura would get along very well. This is because Webber is A Little Freak™️ and they both have little habits that the other would overlook or enjoy (Webber referring to himself as 'we' (the whole eaten by a spider thing), enjoying rhymes, general spider like behavior (Again refer to being fused with a spider) and the fact that he in cannon shows a preference to hanging out with the grandparent types)
However I think he specifically would be easily be adopted by all the bishops.
Leshy because he is a farmers kid and probably enjoys biting people
Kallamar because he is interested in medical stuff, even though he thinks it's icky. He also enjoys shiny things because what kid doesn't.
Heket because he is a BIG fucking eater and enjoys weird ass food regular people get sick off of. He also enjoys baking cookies for his spiders in game along with making hates for them.
Lastly Narinder (eventually) because he's a morbid little fuck.
All I'm saying is this spider kid is very difficult not to love and it seems like he would have a small army of aunties/uncles/whatever the gender neutral term is to pretend to pay attention when he rambles about his pet spiders in his fucky ass voice.
Sorry for the essay your art/ask replies gave me brain worms
I cant believe the gods/former gods will finally work together just to parent this lil dude
This would be so cute

Ya know after that little headcanon thing with shamura my thoughts just spiralled from there so please allow me to propose something.
This was inspired by this image by the by:
Tumblr media
Not sure if this is actually legit as I never encountered this sprite in game however it was one the wiki so I’m gonna be so free and assume.
Anyway-
With the idea that the crowns aid the bishops with their disabilities(Leshy being able to see through his, Hekets crown speaking for her ect ect). Allow me to propose a what if:
what if Shamuras crown appears to be rooted into their brain because it’s what’s keeping them from being even worse off than they already are? They can no longer get any prophecies because the crown is too busy keeping their mind intact, stopping all their memories from slowly fading away.
It also shows just how bad the damage done by Narinder truly was, even with all it’s power to grant near infinite knowledge…it still isn’t enough, Shamuras mind is still broken and the purple crown will never be able to restore them to their former glory.
And to really hammer home how close Shamura was with their crown, what if it even goes as far as rejecting new bearers the lamb chooses? It wants Shamura to pick a bearer, their opinion on who is worthy enough to bear it is far more important to it. And it will straight up refuse to give anything to those chosen without their blessing.
And it’s not like the Lamb can just destroy it, If it was that easy they would have been destroyed eons ago. Nah they really just went „it’s either my way or the highway.“ and proceed to become as useful as a door stopper-
Anyway just some food for thought, thank you for coming to my ted talk!:DD
If you’ll excuse me I will go ahead and sketch ideas of this and of my Shamura passing the crown onto an eight year old cause that is definitely not gonna go south-
I ABSOLUTELY love that HC and agree with it, to me the crown is like- the one thing keeping Sha alive. And the connection is what makes Shamura like- ramble, as it disorients them greatly (imagine your brain being Directly POWERED BY GODLY POWERS- my thoughts would get a bit scrambled too)
Kinda leads me to think that the crown just- would NOT let Shamura died. Which in itself has a lotta implications: did it care? Did it just want its host to survive? Are the other crowns this way too?
I guess that’s…food for thoughts HEHEHE

PLEASE tell us more about your Leshy and the two cats!!!!! The cats are so pretty and also so is your art. I love your art so so so so so much 💖
Well, I'll start by saying that the Leshy himself in my AU is quite dark, violent, and traumatized. He survived the sudden betrayal of Narinder (as the one he trusted and looked up to most as a child), he survived all the turmoil associated with the fact that faith in the bishops was shaken, I call this period as "shaky", and the whole four were on the verge of losing their authority. And already during the game's storyline, Lamb's campaigns, Heket died. In my Au, which is mostly based on my insane playthrough of the game, Leshy was the last Bishop to be killed by Lamb. I mean, there was this sequence: Heket> Shamura> Kallamar. I have that point actually explained in the storyline, but that's not what the main question is about xd.
Tumblr media
In the works, where you see him in the clothes of a follower (yes-yes that red one), has its own meaning. It's like a sign of his acceptance of a new way of life and to some extent, a rejection of the past. In this story, he's processing his traumas, learning the ways and lives of mortals, and then he makes two close friends: those two cats.
Tumblr media
In general, I can characterize my Leshy as a personality. He changes slowly, but throughout the narrative in my Au. Leshy is still the Bishop of Chaos, in terms of character, but has softened a bit because of his environment in which he resides.
Tirena
Let me briefly tell you about Tirena's storyline. Her parents were nomads who came from other lands to the lands of the Old Faith. They mostly moved between locations, but eventually stopped at Darkwood. In fact, Tirena's family was loyal to what was happening in the lands and tried to please all the local cruel rules. The turning point of the plot for Tirena came at the time of her coming of age, for which her parents sacrificed themselves to the bishop, and she was given a necklace (but not the one she wears now) in memory of her parents. As a result of which she ran away from the place. Stumbled upon Lamb by accident, from behind a campfire in the night. So in the story, she showed up in his settlement and became a devoted disciple in the future, but still with an unconcealed grudge against the bishops.
Tumblr media
In comic, she got into an altercation with Narinder on the same topic.
Yolk (yellow cat)
Tumblr media
Yolk's former name was Najulmer, and he changed his name at the settlement. His parents were the same cultists who, long after Leshy's death, continued the resistance. Yolk did not share the same point of view with them; he was more interested in studying the world around him, and specifically its strange inhabitants. So he set out on his wanderings in search of that "paradise" by which he meant the Lamb's settlement. Along the way meeting various companions, studying monsters and even cooking with them. He has already been rescued by Lamb when he was trapped by the treachery of his recent companion. In the settlement he quickly finds contact with Tirena, or rather she has to tolerate his intrusive company. Then Lamb returns from a camping trip and summons Leshy from purgatory and he becomes both a nightmare for Yolk, but and an intriguing object of study. He btw yes, never once saw the bishops and didn't even know that Leshy was one.
Tumblr media
Somehow that's what the plot of these three sounds like. I hope it was interesting and informative to learn about them!

Character rambles are under the cut!

vv Down here!
🐱 Fena: Fena used to be the head farmer in the cult, undeniably fantastic at their job despite her low faith. She's been in the cult for a few years at this point, and their faith has steadily grown. Enough that, when the time came, Fena was tasked with managing Leshy for the first few hours of his indoctrination into the cult. Fena was- worried to say the least, but.. he wasn't really violent. Or even that mean. He was just scared, and.. they understood that pretty well. The Lamb let Fena keep the job, since her and Leshy seemed to get along so well. They haven't failed at corraling the bishops yet, but all 4 being in the cult might finally break her. Might.
🐸 Dreiden: Dreiden is the first child ever to be born into the cult, instead of taken in from outside it. He's about 10 years old, and there's been quite a few kids born in the cult since, but everyone is especially fond of him. Surprisingly, it doesn't seem to get to his head that much- likely due to his parents. Dreidens parents are Eligos and Mertre, which to many is an odd pair. Eligos, a past disciple of Heket, known generally to be closed off and outcasted- and Mertre, the best lumberjack in the cult, well respected with high faith. Dreiden is best friends with Tratta and Webber, two similarly-aged kids in the cult who he's taken it upon himself to take care of.
🦇 Tratta: Tratta was found as a toddler in Silk Cradle by a missionary. It was said that they found her in a destroyed village, but the clothes she was wearing suggests that really- she was the child of a heretic who was killed by the missionary. Tratta, in the story, is about 7 years old. Tratta has always had poor eyesight, being a bat, but it was only recently, after a bad bout of sickness, that she went fully blind. She's been struggling to get used to it. Tratta doesn't have a guardian, instead residing in the nursery with Webber and a few other unclaimed children. She's been in the nursery for long enough that she's figured she'll never be adopted.
🕸 Webber: Webber is a strange case. A 'ressurection' that the Lamb did not consciously preform, welcomed into the cult nonetheless. Webber crawled out of a grave barely a toddler, and has been in the cult for a few years. Webber is about 8. He scares the other cultists quite a bit, always holding a wild spider or two, and never seeming to get hungry. He is very close to Tratta and Dreiden, being the third cornerstone of their little friend group. Webber is extremely close to the Lamb, pushing any who wanted to adopt him ever further away. The Lamb is... aware of this, to say the least, but they haven't mentioned it aloud- and never publicly seem to favor him over any other. Publicly, that is.
🐮 Mertre: Mertre is one of the most well respected cultists in the settlement. Strong, noble, faithful and fair, Mertre is popular among the public. There is only one thing about her people do not like- and that is her choice of wife. Mertre is the wife of Eligos, a former disciple of the bishop Heket. Mertre loves her wife alot, and through her is quite close with most of the other bishops' disciples. Mertre is the best lumberjack in the cult, and was a rescue from Helob the spider. Mertre lived in Darkwood before indoctrination, but no one's quite clear on what her life used to be like. Mertre is a loving mother to her son, Dreiden, and is certain to often remind him of how well he has it here- and that things outside of the cult are much worse. She makes sure that Dreiden knows to be kind to all that come from the outside.
🐢 Puno: Puno is an elderly disciple, and the first of two head disciples in the cult. Well- as it stands, one of the ONLY two disciples in the cult. Puno is the only disciple to survive the battle with TOWW, being the only disciple who stayed behind to watch the cult. Puno has watched silently as the rest of the disciples and most faithful who he once knew have rotted from the palms up inside of the healing tent. Puno is unquestioning, though, and has little a complaint. Her only complaint is that she's growing ever older, and cannot continue to do her job for much longer. They have conferred with the Lamb, and Puno believes they have chosen the correct cultists to become the newest disciples. He hopes he chose well.
🦐 Treyson: I cannot explain this character to you chat. Please don't ask me about him he's a half joke made by my best friend and we love him too much to get rid of. He gets a wife later and everyone in the cult finds him strange and scary- except for the Lamb, who sees absolutely nothing wrong with this guy.
🕷 Nurse Fear: Fear is relatively new to her job as the head nurse, and she knows she's only the head nurse because the Lamb cannot make a bishops' past disciple anything of high rank, lest they face mass dissent among the flock. Nurse Fear was initially called something else, but decided to change her name to the nickname the cults children gave her. She thought it was funny, and found it more fitting than her old name. Nurse Fear is skilled at her job, but still often turns to Kallamar's disciples for advice. She doesn't always get it.
🦊 Tymer: Tymer has been in the cult for a relatively long time. No one's quite sure how he's managed an extended lifespan like he has, seeing as he has no skull necklace. Tymer is the cult bartender, and also often works in the kitchens, known to be a talented cook with knowledge from a past life in Anura. Tymer is known to have a deceased child with an unknown second parent, but.. she never seems to be that bothered by it. Tymer is... well known. To say the least. And is a very familiar face in the healing tent, despite her protests each and every single time. They often get into physical fights with Maon- and, they just have NO idea WHY Maon hates them so much!! It's such a complete and utter mystery!!
🐶 Maon: Maon is one of the Lambs most beloved followers. Maon has been in the cult since some of its earliest days, him and his twin brother having been ressurected multiple times. Maon has pined after Barbatos since the centpides indoctrination, and the two are known as a couple. Kinda. Maon is a cult guard, and the only one who remembers that they were originally found surrounded by the lifeless bodies of other heretics in Darkwood is the Lamb. Maon is very protective of the Lamb, and earned the silent favoritism by sharing stories told to them and their brother by their grandpa- who was a sheep guard dog in Concolor, before the genocide. Many assume Maon would have been made a disciple by now, but their constant fistfighting with Tymer is costing them the role. Maon hates cheaters, and is ENEMIES with Tymer.

Time may not heal all wounds, but they can at least scar over.
Future headcanons of the bishops! Just some fun ideas about change and visible trauma, as well as playing around with bodies. Once again they’re all based against the Lamb’s height. Yes, they’re giant freaks, Shamura most especially, they’re the tallest in the whole damn cult, Kallamar close behind. Headcanons are under the cut!
When nari first came to the cult, he was skin and bones, more bone than skin. His vision was badly affected as well, no longer being able to stand bright lights without searing pain and headaches. Eventually he was able to heal up thanks to a certain god’s determination, and quickly bulked up back to a healthier weight. (It’s kind of based off my own cat gatsby, who is now a handsome chunky boi) He still has pretty warped wrist bones though, and he can’t overwork his magic or else his arm skin will fall off again and the process of regrowing them has to be started again, something the Lamb is not happy to do. There’s nothing to be done about his vision, he has to wear a veil in bright lights.
The rest of the bishops were basically rotting in Purgatory, and did not leave their imprisonment unscathed, some more noticeably than others. The body shows the state of the soul, after all.
Leshy seems the least affected, until you realize his leaves are constantly wilted and flaking off, and he has zero energy compared to his old self. Eventually he regains his health, and shoots up like a damn weed, and doesn’t constantly need to sop up the leakage from his eye socket, leaving it to air out at times.
Heket seems normal at a glance, until you realize she’s in the bloated stage of decay, barely able to move about. Eventually her body deals with the mess, and she’s functional once more, however her throat is still a mass of scar tissue, so she still can’t really talk or turn her head very well, and has to go through a lot of pt to work out her neck muscles.
Kallamar and Shamura are the most obvious, emaciated bodies with hardly any muscle mass left, both traumatized shells of their former selves. Eventually they’re able to regain their physique, though they’ll never achieve their old glory days. Shamura is eventually able to regrow a skull so their brain isn’t constantly exposed, but the upper eyes are essentially functionless and their mind is by no means healed, and it’s a constant battle to keep on top of their failing memory.
Kallamar regains no hearing, his eardrums are fucked beyond repair, but being such a diva, he essentially performs plastic surgery on himself so his ears are at least no longer a tattered mess and capable of some decor. If you ask about any of his scars, he’ll gladly regale the epic tales of battle he earned them from, until Shamura is like ‘I have more, it’s just hidden by my fur, see?’ and then it becomes a measuring contest between the two and they’ll have forgotten you existed.
Heket and Nari are just bemoaning the fact their baby Leshy isn’t a baby anymore, and now they’re the shortest of the five.

Part two (aka proper answer for that ask):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kallamar: Why would I? This creature made my big sis cry!
Lamb: You can't react violently to everything!
Kalmar: I can't?
Lamb: Uh… It's actions like this that got you to where you are now!
Leshy: If I may butt in… can I eat them? *_*
Lamb: NO!
Leshy: But they're such a pretty colour… my favourite…
*Kallamar squishes tighter*
Lamb: RELEASE THEM! TAKE THE TENTACLES NOW!
Kallamar: Make me…
Tumblr media
No, Lamb is right, Kal… Let them go. I can handle with them myself… I am a goddess after all. A former goddess, but I am. It's ridiculous that one mortal being should make me feel like this.
So you want to know why I'm so "freaking" chubby, right, little morsel?
Tumblr media
Well, the answer is simple… I EAT THOSE WHO OFFEND ME.
Lamb: Heket, nooo! Lamb: Kallamar, do something!
Kallamar: You told me to take the tentacles…
Leshy: Hey, why can she eat pink one and I can't? T_T
Poor Lamb, they is like a babysitter in a kindergarten. The funny thing is they is the only true kid and the others are millennial adults, lol.

Notes from the Lamb
Out of all the Former bishops, it seems Leshys appearance changed the least. While it’s weird seeing him adorned in red and not cloaked from head to toe, his physical body was preserved well. Hutre says Leshys grass-like fur is soft. ‘Perfect for napping’ he reported. He never lost his digging ability and more often then not you’ll end up tripping over holes in the crop store from Leshy stealing flowers. After a few months in the cult, a few kids somehow convinced him to let them ride on him. Don’t know how that happened but I’m glad he’s settling well. Hekets next.
Finally made a properly colored Leshy lol. Gonna slowly create and color all of the bishops follower forms with little notes attached from the Lamb as a way to introduce how they act in my au.
I feel Leshy, being the youngest, actually has a knack for caring for kids! And by caring I mean he gets them to cause as much chaos as possible while the lambs not paying attention and Hutre is taking a catnap on his tail. The lamb knows they need child care so they end up assigning him to that, with a supervisor of course!

Any love interests or are you all not interested
I am SO glad you asked
Tumblr media
Lambe does not have any interest in romance, he’s very close friends with Sozo but that’s as close as he gets. we ship em a little haha !! never actually gonna happen though,,
Rem doesn't really care for romance either, but there are certain,, emotional investments with a few followers wink wonk (qpr !!)
as for me ? [this entire au started because I made a self-insert bc I fell head over heels for Heket the first interaction I had with her because she told me to kneel and I said yes ma’am]
.
to be truthful, it’s a bit,, complex. romance with a former dictator/bishop/god who was directly responsible for the almost-annihilation of your entire species isn’t easy. Lambe and Rem were NOT impressed when I confessed to them hahaha !!! but we’ve figured it out after almost 50 years of marriage, (which I might add was a terribly embarrassing event on my end).
I use my fancy-shmancy mind-reading powers to allow her to communicate with me easier ! after she trusted me enough to consent, of course. and she doesn’t mind my blabbering hehe.
talking with her helped me find myself again - in a sense - after the Dark Times. I would tell her facts about all the crops and flowers, and describe all my followers’ personalities and drama. it was oddly comforting,, I was too scared to talk to her at first, but then it started and it felt so natural. I think that’s what scared me the second time. how easy it was to just, let go of everything her and her siblings had done to us.
but I think I was just tired of feeling hurt.
and she made me smile, and I made her laugh !! tried not to until her throat healed properly tho whoops.
gosh haha look at me, I could ramble about my wife all day. hope that explains enough hehe !!
- ☀️
[and starshroom art dump that has varying degrees of canon to the actual characterizations and interactions LOL]

You know what? I'm in the mood for some angst.
How about a reader who's the twin sister to Narinder, making her the bishop of Life to his Death.
And while she wasn't sealed away like her brother was (she tried very, very hard to deescalate the situation.).....She was still gravely injured by Nari, and the rest of her siblings became extremely distrustful of her and in some cases verbally/mentally abusive (Heket).
So one day she just vanishes....no one knows where she went, not even her closet followers know, and when they search her personal chambers they find a note and.....her crown, the note reads that she couldn't take it anymore, that she's left the lands of the old faith, her position as a bishop and godhood, and that she's.... denounced everyone, even Nari as her family....
oh my heart

The One who Gives (reader) meets the Lamb
The lamb looks to the large cave on the small island in the middle of the sea. He knows this is were she is, where she has been hiding out for almost a thousand years. He looks back to Plimbo, who gives him a thumbs up in encouragement. “This is were she’s got to be! Its got her sign on the entrance and everything! But I’m sure not going in there, not sir. Fighting that mad goddess would be like back talking my Mother-in-law!” He said laughing at his own joke. The lamb shakes his head and goes into the cave.
He hears… crying, sobbing actually. God tears are everywhere, like someone was stashing them in the walls of the cave. He had gathered various intel from her siblings (now followers) about her. She was the closest with Narinder; as the life to his death, the kind to his cruel, the only one of his siblings to refuse to chain him in her realm. It was what he took from her in his selfish rage that hurt her the most, taking half of her heart and switching it with his.
She apparently was ridiculed by her siblings for letting herself miss the One who Waits openly, Heket being the worst of all. The stories differ from sibling to sibling, but all expressed missing her soft and kind demeanor and love for bringing spring and summer so Narinder could bring fall and winter to the region. But how she will act now is the question, Narinder is her twin, so his thoughts weighted down on the lambs mind the most.
“Angry, she has half of my heart and soul in her. The part of her heart in my chest is the reason I feel some happiness and compassion now. I suppose she got my rage in return..” The former god of death said solemnly in private. “I just want her back, she was the sun to my moon, my only sibling would that opposed my imprisonment, and she is the only one I regret hurting in my rage.”
The lamb sees her, (Y/N), The One who Gives, the goddess of life and 'former' holder of the White crown. She has no crown, but still retains her height and magic aura like the others, as none of her followers or her siblings let anyone put it on. She wears a red robe with a white strip down the middle, as a morning robe. So, she is stuck in godly limbo, which one could say is worst that purgatory. The lamb stops as the crying comes to a sudden end, a cat-like growl coming from the dark corner she has resided in for a thousand years finally being disturbed.
“Who are you lamb? You wear my twins crown, but what do you want?” She snarled, coming out of the darkness. She was a fluffy white cat, having three eyes that glowed white with red pupils. She looked worse for wear, but still looked well enough for a fight. “I am here to take you home, your family are followers of me now. They all asked me to come and save you, one way or another.” The lamb said calmly as he circled with her around the cave, trying to stay parallel to her.
“To save me?! I don’t believe you, little lamb. I loved them all unconditionally, and what did I get? Distrust, words of accusation and malice and half of my heart taken and switched! I wish not to see any of them ever again, leave me to suffer alone for eternity.” She said coldly, sounding so different than her families description of her. She turns to walk away but stops dead in her tracks when the lamb simply states “No, you are coming with me! I am the god of death, One of two of the last bishops of the old faith. And as much as you don’t want to admit it, you still are a bishop. You left your duties, and I have come here to make you the follower you deserve to be.” You turn in shock, then the lamb noted your three eyes turning fully blood red. It was as if your eyes did the opposite of Narinder’s eyes, showing your connection on a deep level.
“Fine, If you want to fight O' new god of Death, then come fight me! I know all of the tricks of the red crown! And even without the White crown I can still beat you!” She seethes, floating with her face covered in eyes and rings of light and eyes circling around her quickly. This was going to be a long fight, the lamb thought as he took the first attack.

Have some sketches from Demeter's backstory + one amnesiac spider in the last one.
Demeter became one of Shamura's trusted generals after her herd was killed by a wolf pack. She was later in charge of raising Leshy who gifted her a gold skull necklace. She's been around a long time.
Shamura often had prophetic dreams that they would usually forget most of immediately after waking up. Many of these dreams were more like nightmares, so Demeter took it upon herself to calm her master whenever it happened. So none of the other Bishops would know.
After getting her own crown (the Crown of Harvest) Demeter returned to the far north highlands to try to restore the herds of sheep. She had been asked by the Bishops for her help with Narinder...but as the weakest god, she refused. When she saw Shamura again....she didnt recognize the insane spider that had taken the place of her former master.
Demeter and Shamura had a devastating fight about the prophecy. She warned Shamura that any act taken to prevent it would only ensure it. But her words fell on deaf ears.
While she was killed during a battle with Heket, trying to protect her village....Demeter was able to grab a small portion of the Life domain before dying. Allowing her to break free of the chains of the Underworld and escape once the Red Crowned lamb opened the gateway. Here she is seen telling her story to a memory robbed Shamura in the Lamb's Cult. It's not her land, the spider isnt her's to lay claim to but....she misses them. Even now.
