How do you make sure you have the right foundation shade? The way to shade match foundation is along your jaw bone! Sure you can check on the back of your hand, but to get an accurate match go straight to the source! Remember your shade may change throughout the summer too! My other best shade matching tips are to pat onto the jawline, let it dry, then check in natural light. My fave foundation is @beautycounter’s Skin Twin with Hylauronic Acid to reduce the appearance of fine lines and hydrophobic pigment that keeps it in place and wearing beautifully all day long! Right now #MySkinTwinWin is Medium 310, but I’ll go up a couple shades as the summer sun shines through my sunscreen! In this video, I’m basically showing you my cruelty free full coverage foundation routine with the best cruelty free foundation that I have used so far. I’m using the Cover FX Power Play Foundation today which is both cruelty free and vegan, and I’m going to mix 2 extreme shades of this foundation, a super dark shade and a super light shade to achieve my shade of foundation. The idea is just to show you that we can work with 2 extremely different shades of foundation to achieve our shade without a lot of difficulty.
