DJBC Tumblr Holiday 2020 - Conservatory Aglow (Camera Edition)

For our 3,000th post on DJBC Adventures, we’d thought that we would share highlights from this year’s Conservatory Aglow from the Franklin Park Conservatory (which is allowed under personal use, as I do NOT get compensated for The DJBC Happy Hour, etc.).

Aglow is closed tonight and ALL day tomorrow (along with its daytime counterpart, Holiday Blooms) for Christmas, but is open through January 10.  Reservations can be made at http://www.fpconservatory.org. The Conservatory is Open from 10AM to 4PM (Daytime) and 5PM to 9PM (Evening). The one hour gap is for sanitizing purposes.

Processing the first of 4 pumpkins that came from @fpconservatory and their fall pumpkin display. @hikingfieldguide did a great job picking these out! This one has a relatively thin skin, so an unfortunate crack meant it had to get processed fast. It smells so sweet fresh and the baking aroma is only getting better. The Holidays in Columbus ‘18 - Conservatory Aglow

With only a few days left to check out the holiday lights, Conservatory Aglow closes on Wednesday evening.  The annual lights exhibit at the Franklin Park Conservatory was packed for the Big Explore last night, and had steady attendance when I stopped by the Free Sunday on a very tropical 66 degree day on the first Sunday in December.  Here is a compare and contrast of Conservatory Aglow from the Daytime to the Nighttime, and how the exhibit looks different in the light of day, to after the sun goes down.

We attended the most beautiful wedding this weekend! The bride designed a classic garden-party reception, including full-blown peonies (one of my all-time favorites) in simple jar vases, rose-petal-strewn aisles, vintage candlesticks, filling the historic Palm House of the Franklin Park Conservatory ( @fpconservatory ) in Columbus, Ohio. The whole conservatory is stunning, but it was the oldest, original building that we got to enjoy, all to ourselves, that was my favorite. Scroll through the pictures to see some of the highlights.
