My predictions and general wants for grease:rise of the pink ladies

Predictions and wants;

Edward(shy guy) becomes a contender for a romance like maybe with Susan or Smth or even olivia

Frankie has some type of romance with susan

The pink ladies learn about Cynthia relationship with lydia

Frankie doesn't get added to Jane's love interest and is just for conflict and backstory

Buddy stays in theatre

Wants;

I want hazel and wally endgame (sorry buddy and hazels little window romance has absolutely nothing on land don't look so bad)

I want Cynthia to come out to the pink ladies fully by her own admission

I want Richie and Jane endgame

I want a Frankie and Susan romance

Susan to apologize for her cruelty to them and they find out about how bad her mom is

Mr Daniels arrested

We learn more about other parts of the world and characters

I wanna see some of their familes

A Race, A Challenge and Some Bonding.

These guys need more scenes where the gangs are together.

Shy guy stepping forward with HEAT at the fact that Buddy swung first. I gotta say for him as a former boxer, he would be the guy to point that out. And the shyest guy spoke up first.

Susan.. keeping the peace.? I will try not to hold judgment for her since she literally was trying to throw Richie under the bus to the principle..

The grin that spreads on Gil's face at the mention of a race.

The Soc's knowing of Gil's ability's to race. "No World where you beat Gil Rizzo." I don't know about you guys but now I GOTTA see this guy behind the wheel racing for real. Like.. Even when his car was missing parts he was THAT good!

They aren't even worried or talking strategy. Well, they are but a different kind of strategy. Breakfast Strategy.

When Gil steps forward to shake on it, I was like 'there is the co-leader of the T-Birds.' He is confident and in a way, profesional about this. Though I love Richie, I gotta say... Gil looks pretty good here. It may be the fact that he is confident as he steps up to the plate as Richie's second. It also shows that he still thinks of Richie as the leader and hasn't given up on his boy.

Buddy having to take a second before he shakes after hearing 'May the best man win.' Just makes me think of when he talks to his dad and states that he doesn't wanna 'win be default'.

Rizzo and Frenchy getting hyped up seeing 'older kids' doing cool stuff.

Rizzo and Frenchy starting to show that they want to be Pink Ladies and ask to join.

Gil and Rizzo ribbing eachother as siblings do when they are just talking.

And I love the way they are starting to build a repoort with Gil and Jane when they step aside to talk to Frenchy and Rizzo.

The shared look they have hits on several levels.

From being older (responsible) siblings, leaders of gangs and just being in highschool in general, they react in classic sibling denial laugh at the idea of them joining.

"Absolutely not."

"There's a height requirement." Now this one made me roll my eyes when I first heard it and its not until Gil steps up behind them that you CAN SEE THE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE! Im sure there are a few of us on here that would turn into Frenchy if Gil put his arm around their shoulder and said he'd give em a ride.

Jane's "Never gonna happen." It may be to discourage Frenchy from mooning over Gil, but I think she is also a supporter of #Oil.

Ghost Stories

Young Jane and Fran??? I am working on my ROTPL PJO AU and I added a little bit of my satyr oc (you will meet her when I get the story up) saying she works at a summer camp and the pinks being like ooo a camp! Because I decided that Olivia went to Girl Scout Camps and Jane went on camping trips with her dad and fran and I mentioned Jane having fun with ghost stories I was like “Hey, I can make a oneshot out of this idea!”

It was a summer night and 10 year old Jane was on a camping trip with her dad and sister, Fran, who was 6 at this time. It was Fran’s first time camping. They were all sitting around the fire.

“I’ll get the marshmallows and stuff from the camper.” Jane’s dad said.

So they were sitting there. “What should we do while we wait?” Jane asked.

Fran had an idea “Oooh, We can pick flowers and make flower crowns! There’s a good patch over there.”

An idea popped into Jane’s head. “Do you wanna hear a ghost story from right here in these woods?” She asked.

“Sure!”

“Alright, here goes.” She cleared her throat and shined a flashlight on her face. “It was a summer night in 1920, just like this one, and a little girl named Daisy was exploring the woods. She was lost and never found. A few months later, Daisy was found dead. Nobody knew how she died. Some say she was attacked by a bear, some say she got poisioned. But one thing is for sure, she died near a patch of flowers.”

Fran was already shaking. “Like that one?” She shined her flashlight to the flower patch a few feet away from where they were sitting.

“Yes. Daisy’s ghost haunts that patch of flowers in the woods and prevents anyone from picking them. Rumor has it, she could be seen after a storm.”

“Jane…” Jane turned to see her dad. “Stop scaring your sister.”

“Well, she said she wanted to hear a ghost story.” Jane said.

“You brought it up!” Frenchy argued

“Well, you wanted to go pick flowers at a potentially cursed flower patch!”

“It’s not cursed, ghosts aren’t real!”

“Well, how would you know? Have you met one?”

“No… but that story sounds fake!”

“But I’ve met Daisy.”

“You have?”

“Girls.” Their dad interrupted. “This is not the time to talk about ghost encounters.”

“Alright…” Jane said. They went on to toasting marahmallows and singing songs, forgetting about Daisy.

Later that night, Fran was asleep. She woke up to something like the sound of rain drumming on the camper. Then a knock. She sat up. “Hello?” She asked. “Is anyone there?”

“I’m outsideeeee.” A voice said.

Fran was hesitant but she went outside. Although it sounded like it was just raining, it was completely dry. “Where are you?”

“Go to the flooowersss.” The voice called. Fran went to the flowers. “So you’reee Jane’s sister, I’ve heard a loooot about youuu.”

“… Daisy?” Fran asked.

“Yesss” The voice said. “I’m Daisyyyy.” Fran kneeled down, Tempted to pick the flowers. Suddenly someone jumped at her, tackling her down. “DON’T PICK THE FLOWERS!”

“I wasn’t going to I-” She was interrupted by laughter. She then recognized the figure who jumped at her. “Jane?”

Jane laughed as she dropped the voice. “Gotcha! Man, that was fun!”

“So, Daisy wasn’t real?” Fran asked, trying to wiggle out.

“Not that I know of,” she said, still pining Fran down. “Then again, it’s just a ghost story. Like you said, ghosts aren’t real.” She said with a tiny michevious smile.

“They’re not! Also let me go!”

“Fine,” Jane sat up and let go of Fran. “But you have to admit that was pretty funny. You should’ve seen the look on your face.”

Fran pushed her in retaliation. “You woke me up just to scare me!”

“It was fun!” They were interrupted by a loud boom of thunder. “We should get out of here.”

“You just said that ghosts aren’t real!”

“Yeah but it’s raining. Plus I don’t wanna risk actually meeting Daisy.”

“True. Let’s go.”

I was listening to the Grease (1978) soundtrack and I noticed that Frenchie sounded very very familiar...

so I go on IMDB to see what Didi Conn did other than Grease and like half-way through the list I'm like "I've never seen any of these why does her voice sound so familiar???" and then I see this

They Canceled Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. Here’s a petition to switch it to another platform and save it.

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies portrays a great level of diversity that is hard to rival in modern television. Characters from all ethnicities, sexualities, and social status are represented. It has an extremely dedicated fan base, but Paramount has made the decision to cancel the series and remove it show from their platform in the next week, essentially making it impossible to watch. This means that those involved with the show’s creation and production get no further compensation for their efforts. It is a tax write off for the company.

Additionally, ROTPL is (currently) destined to fall into the bin of “great sapphic representation silenced”, which also includes Everything Sucks(2019), I Am Not Okay With this(2020), and many others.

Aside from signing this petition you may also email and submit suggestions to alternative streaming platforms (such as Netflix, Hulu, Max, and Amazon Prime Video) to uptake the mantle. Other series to face cancellation have been saved in this way, notably the sitcom One Day at a Time(2017), which was initially removed from Netflix but later transferred to PopTV to finish its entire run.

Please do not let Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies die. Many of the cast have been extremely outspoken in their support of its renewal for a second season, and have been brought much grief by this sudden choice. The writers, actors, and producers should not be faulted and punished for their beautiful work, especially when ROTPL had only finished its first season 2/3 weeks before this sudden news. Revelation of its removal is frankly ridiculous, all things considered. Remember to Think Pink!

They young actresses playing younger Rizzo and Frenchie in Grease Rise of the Pink Ladies are doing an incredible job. Young Rizzo has the facial expressions down and baby Frenchie has the voice done perfectly. I haven't seen much praise for them yet.
