can someone please do that thing where you save the episodes to a google drive and allow others to have access to it like someone did for Willow? That way while we try to have the show picked up by another platform we can still access it and watch it?
UPDATE:: here is the link to the rotpl episodes over google drive! thank you so much to @chlora-boii for this! ❤️❤️

More and more I’m convinced that the international movie category in the Oscars is just made so European movies can have a chance against American movies. Because they can’t line the academy voters pockets as much as American studios, but they can pay more than Latin American, African or Asian movies in general. Yes, I am bitter Society of the snow didn’t win. The only great thing about it was Jonathan Glazer speech. That stuff was king shit. Calling out the occupation in Palestine 🇵🇸 was a king kind of move !

Dave and John needed suits for a close friend's wedding. They thought, why not try the new suit place that just opened. It was getting nothing but rave reviews. They assumed they'd only be there for an hour or two, but the nieve couple's plans quickly changed the second they stepped into that place.
The overpowering smell of cologne instantly made the hair on their arms stand up. A euphoric chill went down their spins as they passed by the perfectly polished dress shoes. The plethora of exquisitely tailored suits made them practically drool. They were like two little boys in a candy shop.
Strangely, the two never showed much interest in the suit life before entering that store. Something about that place uncovered hidden desires in both of them. At least, that's what they both thought.
In reality, the store was actually purchasing them. Such a handsome couple belonged in such a store.
Dave and John, or Davey and Jonathan as they both like to go by now, never did end up renting suits. Neither did they attend the wedding. They just couldn't muster asking for time off. Their new jobs as models for the store were too divine. They never want to stop working. Never wanting to leave. Never to want anything the store didn't see fit for such a perfectly suited couple.

Finished Rise of the Pink Ladies...
Random Thoughts in Yays and Boos and Wuts and Mehs
Yay: Hazel’s a Pink Lady. Great way to end the season. Great pay off.
Boo: That whole wedding story line. It was unnecessary and dumb.
Wut?: Jonathan Nieves leaving and being photoshopped into scenes.
Yay: Setup for a second season with the other schools and Zuko’s big brother (I guess?). But please, please, please stop with Jane and her love life - I cannot find the will to care.
Boo/Yay/I Can’t Decide: Nancy’s treatment of Potato was not cool. Female empowerment isn’t disregarding your partner’s feelings and doing what only you want because I am woman hear me roar. That’s what gets me about some feminist media - the whole my way or the highway of it all. Compromise isn’t a dirty word - it’s called not being a jerkface and being a part of a healthy relationship (as long as it’s not one partner doing all the compromising). I know Nancy marches to the beat of her own drum and Potato clearly appreciates that but she was putting SO many stipulations on their relationship and really being inconsiderate of him a lot. I’m very happy about her owning up to that but I didn’t really like how she was going to end things with him at the carnival without discussing how they might make it work. She came off as very selfish in her behavior and inconsiderate of his feelings. In the end, they’re still my favorite couple and I’m glad they worked things out but I hope we get to see her play a more emotionally supportive role to him in the future like she did with Cynthia.
Yay (Kind Of): When I first saw the play scene from Hazel’s POV with Buddy dipping out, I thought he was jealous of her getting the limelight. But then we got episode 7 from the boys’ POV and you saw that Buddy was just reeling from his daddy drama. I was glad he wasn’t being petty. He was just hurt.
Meh: Wally and Hazel are kind of cute, but I’m a not so secret shipper of her and Buddy. I don’t like love triangles (which this show seems to be a fan of) so I hope if we get a second season that this issue gets resolved fast.
Meh: Gil is a cutie, but I am not feeling any of the girls he’s been paired with thus far. I don’t really like him and Olivia together.
Wut?: Who does Dot like? They teased it but never told us.
Boo: Where’s the sizzle? Please get Shonda Rhimes to this show stat to create some chemistry between these people. For so many romantic relationships, none of them bring the heat. Everyone’s different, but for me, for a show to be fully satisfying, I have to have a couple that I ship. That I can’t wait to see kiss and see those moments of being in love. It’s why I adored Queen Charlotte and Jackson/April on Grey’s or Andy/April on Parks and Rec.
Boo: This show reminds me a little bit of Girls in the fact that the male characters are more intriguing than the women. Ray and Adam were more interesting/likable than the main characters. I feel like it’s similar for this show. Potato and Shy Guy in particular I want to know more about. I love the women as a whole group and their times together, but individually...I’m getting less and less interested especially with Jane and  Olivia who’ve kind of become one note. Nancy (and Cynthia to an extent), I feel like is the only character who’s really grown. I feel like she embodies adolescence the best in regards to not knowing what you want but slowly figuring things out and maturing. I’ve really enjoyed her journey (just be sweeter to Potato, please and thank you).
Wut?: So is this show getting a second season or not? 10/10 would watch.

‼️‼️‼️ PLEASE DO NOT SKIP IF YOU WANT TO HELP SAVE GREASE: RISE OF THE PINK LADIES‼️‼️‼️
Hi everyone! This is a master list of resources that we fans can use in order to help save our show! I will be adding sources as I find them! :)
1. First up, emails! Please email these platforms and request that they pick up Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies and provide it with a season 2! BE INCREDIBLY SPECIFIC AND EXPLAIN HOW THIS SHOW HAS HELPED YOU PERSONALLY!! Also, include the link to the petition so they can personally see how many people support the show! :)
2. Next, vote links!! This resource is a customer service tactic in order to see what issues have the most supporters. As I find one for each platform, I will create an “idea” for that platform to pick up Pink Ladies and create a season 2! Please click the link and vote and comment!! The more votes and comments, the more likely our idea will be pitched to the teams because they will see how much we want this show to be saved. If you do not have the ability to do this, please email the support emails twice as much!! :)
https://community.hulu.com/s/idea/0875f000000Eg3WAAS/detail
3. Next, phone numbers! I know calling can be uncomfortable, but most platforms prefer this way! Please call if you feel comfortable. When calling, please again be incredibly detailed about what you want. Request that the platform pick up Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies and provide it with a season 2. Explain how unfairly the show is being treated and how it deserves a proper ending. Explain how the show made you feel!
hulu:
888-265-6650
netflix:
888-638-3549
4. Next, tags!!! Please spread the tag #saveriseofthepinkladies ALL OVER social media!! When you create your own Pink Ladies posts, use it! When commenting on others posts, use it! Comment it under other platforms like HBO or Netflix! SPREAD IT EVERYWHERE AND HELP IT GO VIRAL!!!!
5. Lastly, the petition!!! Please share this petition with everyone you know and ask them to sign it. This is a wonderful way to show platforms how much support the show has!!
https://www.change.org/p/save-grease-rise-of-the-pink-ladies-and-move-it-to-a-different-streaming-service
As noted earlier, I will be adding to these resources as I find them online (the customer service resources are harder to find than one would think, especially netflix). Please please please share this master list and complete these steps! ‼️A platform is not just going to randomly pick up this show!! We have to show that they should! ‼️

New Music | Jonathan Suazo
The masterful Puerto Rican saxophonist and composer Jonathan Suazo is thrilled to announce the August 4, 2023 release of his formal debut album, RICANO, on Ropeadope.
All About Jazz has glowed: “Three vastly different ideals — rhythmic agility, soaring grace, and barbed blowing — all merge under Suazo's mouthpiece.” Avant Music News called his playing “compelling.“ A strong command of the jazz language, limitless imagination on his improvisations, intensity in both emotion and technique,” opined LatinJazzNet. Ahead of RICANO, GRAMMY.com declared him one of “10 Emerging Jazz Artists To Watch.”
Suazo calls RICANO “an original Afro-Caribbean experience” that deals in themes of “exploration, integration, community, education and self-acceptance.” The title is a tip of the hat to Suazo’s dual heritage; it fuses the words Puertorriqueño and Dominicano.
RICANO also features an array of special guests from the highest echelon of the global jazz scene: saxophonists Miguel Zenón and David Sánchez, percussionists Enrique “Kike” Serrano, Florentino “Magic” Mejía, and Otoniel Nicolás, cuatrista and singer Fabiola Méndez, singer Tanicha Lopez, bassist Ricky Rodriguez, cuatrista Christian Nieves, pianist Josean Jacobo, rapper Emil "El Hijo de Borikén" Martínez, and many more.
Suazo threads each track on the album with enveloping chants, curiosity-piquing lyrics and elements of dance and improvisational elements — all inseparable from the traditions of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. As Suazo explained to GRAMMY.com, the period of self-reflection that culminated in RICANO began during his time at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, when he took several research trips to both islands.
"I started doing a deeper dive into my roots as an important exercise to find something in the source of your identity that can carry the rest of your career forward," Suazo explains of his time at the Global Jazz Institute. "Something that I personally identify with that can be translated into music." As such, each composition on RICANO pays homage to Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic through standalone representations and unique combinations of both island’s musical traditions.

Tw: mass shooting mention, homophobia mention, violence mention
On June 12, 2016, a man opened fire at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida. He killed 49 people and injured 53 more before he was killed by police. I will not include his name in this post, as his memory is not what I wish to honor. I wish to pay respects to the victims of that violent night, and I will be listing their names as a way for anyone who reads this post to remember them. None of them deserved the violence and inhumanity that they experienced.

I am writing this post as a way to honor the victims of that night, and because I wish to remember them. I want to remember that these people lived and breathed within my lifetime. I was 12 years old when the shooting happened, and I remember sitting on the couch and watching the news. I wanted to cry out of grief and fear. But all I could do was sit in silence because my family did not know I was queer and would not have understood if I tried to explain why I was grieving for those people that died. I knew from a very young age that there are people in this world that hate people like me. I knew that I would experience hate. And I knew that violence against people like me happened, but that day was the first day I was scared to be myself, and it was the first day I was scared for everyone like me.
I am older now, and I know that violence and hatred have not gone away, and I don't know if they ever will. I would be lying if I said I don't still feel afraid sometimes, but I know that I am stronger now as a person, and I know that the LGBTQIA+ community is stronger too.
I will list some links to LGBT+ charities and organizations below if anyone would like to donate to honor the memory of those we have lost.
Happy Pride everyone.
