Hello!! I was wondering if you had a list of brushes somewhere - I saw some individual brushes in your asks but wasn't sure if you had put together a list or if you use too many to list. I was especially curious as to which brushes you used for this griffin (post/(740913202777423872)) - it reminds me so much of classical chinese brush paintings! Thank you for sharing your art with us :)

yeah i dont have a list cause its way too many to list ++ i add and remove them all the time its a sickness surely but the brush i used for that is from the clip studio asset store https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1740349 ✏️ or you can search it by the name of the brush which is: にせえんぴつ

hi! i pretty much exclusively draw with clip studio paint at this point so i've never splurged on any photoshop brushes. i like frenden's clip studio brush pack, and i usually just switch between a handful of the painterly brushes for illustrations. besides frenden's brushes, i just use clip studio's default brushes for both painting and lining

hihii i use clip studio paint n i like. use a variety of brushes 😔 if theres a particular drawing w a brush u liked i can try to remember what used ! if ur talking my most recent ones the tb n gb i used the default mechanical pencil and for the needle one i used uuhhh i think it was one of the default pencils too djdjjdfj

I'm almost certain that this has been asked before, but what brushes do you use?

I use a bunch of brushes I found on CSP asset store, or found online for free, or bought from creators. Lemme see if I can share some that I use most frequently...

Also pretty much anything from DAUB CSP brushes, FRENDEN's Brushpack, Jingsketch, Porforever, VAMPBYTE, PharanBrush, saturns_day (on csp assets) is a great pick-up.

I'm a brush hoarder but those are some of my go-to's that work with my current drawing and painting process.

not a lot has changed since i answered this question last year except that i... started using a pen with pen pressure for inking! i finally beat the curse!

i use the "ray-pidograph 2.5" inker from frenden's huge brush collection for clip studio paint. i dont know how often or if he still does sales but i got them a few years ago and there are a lot of great brushes in it. honestly the 15 dollars are a great deal if you have the money. definitely recommend it!!

i basically only added a "jitter" effect (see my other post - i turned the random setting on to about 60-70) to more accurately imitate that traditional inking style but i honestly dont always have it on. i honestly believe you can achieve this with any other g-pen out there as well :) might have to play around a bit with the settings but i think its usually very rewarding!

i've been curious about what brush packs you use for comics like golden shrike and JaH? 🙏

My Photoshop folder is a mess, I use that for GS backgrounds. I'd have no idea where to even start.

For JaH I use some brushes from FRENDEN's 800+ CSP brush pack, and some watercolor vegetation brushes from CSP asset store.

Some notes on ideas and motifs explored in Easy, Tiger!, thumbnails, and the brushes I (mostly) used to create the illustrations.

After enough time passes, I tend to forget how I felt when I was working on a big project (which is probably why I keep doing them, lol). Little retrospectives like this are my way of capturing some of past me's thought process before it's gone. Did any of my intent come through in the writing? Who knows! Did I have fun trying to put it there? Absolutely!

Also, if you use Clip Studio Paint to draw, I can't recommend the Frenden Brush Set highly enough- any interesting textures in my linework are usually from a Frenden inker. I've had that pack since 2019 and can still use a new brush every time I draw.

hey, if you don't mind could i ask you what art program and brushes you use?

i use clip studio paint pro, and the brushes i tend to use the most are two tbh, this mameo brush for lineart (any sketches i post are done with this) and this flat oil brush from one of frenden's csp brushpacks:

picture example bcs i cant actually remember which pack i got it from ERM. i believe its the paint/wet media pack but it mightve been the big 800+ pack... its probably the former. its labeled as "oil flat" either way
