Can we knowledge the VERY different ways Lunella's three friends has entered her home?
We got Casey (who probably didn't know much about Lunella before being saved by her) being an surprise visitor, even introducing herself to Lunella's parents...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We got Lunella actually inviting Mel-Varr/Marvin to her place for dinner. Which is ironically the most normal way a friend has entered her home...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then there's Eduardo who just straight up enters through THE WINDOW!!

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur Kid Kree/Mel-Varr character analysis
Tumblr media
Kid Kree/Mel-Varr is a character that gets introduced in the Season 2 episode ¨Kid Kree¨ as a semi antagonist to Lunella and later becomes an ally and friend on the long run. He is a character that is original from the comics, having some differences in the way he is characterized in the series.
In this post i’m going to talk about his character, how he develops in this part of the season and his relationship with Lunella, which is important for his character growth.
Let’s start:
As i previously mentioned, Mel-Varr/Kid Kree gets introduced in the episode ¨Kid Kree¨. In this episode Lunella and Casey first meet Marvin scanning and acting strange with other people on the street. All this time Marvin is seen wearing his human disguise, which makes him pass off as a regular teenager. Later Lunella is asked by LOS to show Mel-Varr the school around. Since Mel-Varr is an alien there are many earthly traditions he doesn’t understand yet. He laughes too loudly when trying to imitate Lunella and mixes up words. He is pretty awkward when it comes to human interactions, still trying to get used to them.
Tumblr media
During gym class, he approaches Lunella, who is working on some formulas she has, and brings up a small correction she should change in her math. Lunella quickly realizes that Mel-Varr is into science and math like she is and asks him if he would like to hang out later. Mel-Varr agrees but says that he has to receive a call from his father first.
Tumblr media
It gets revealed that Mel-Varr is on a secret mission to capture Moon Girl, explaining why he is passing off as a student at school. He got sent to Earth by his own father,Pad-Var, to prove his worth as kree soldier and as punishment for having failed at the military academy. He explains to his father that he assumed Lunella was Moon Girl but the tests he ran didn’t match the results. He doesn’t know that Lunella is Moon Girl and visversa.
The reality is that Mel-Varr doesn’t enjoy being a warrior. It is something that was forced by his father, who sets very high expectations on him. Kree’s society puts emphasis on its people to be soldiers, or at least the social circles Mel-Varr finds himself in his species. He mainly follows what his father tells him because that’s what is expected of him and he really wants his approval.
Mel-Varr is into science and math, something that Pad-Var heavily disapproves of when they interact. Their relationship is very strained because of this, as Mel-Varr feels like he can’t be himself around his father and he is forced to be someone he doesn’t want to. Pad-Var acts pretty distant towards his own son, more often refering to him as a soldier rather than his own family.
There are implications that Mel-Varr didn’t have any friends before coming to Earth as he mentions that he was bullied in his previous school by his peers for being a ¨nerd¨. So not only he has a complicated relationship with his father, there is the chance that he is rejected by other people from around his age as well.
Tumblr media
This is why Mel-Varr doesn’t take time in befriending Lunella: She is someone he feels like can be his own self around. He doesn’t have to hide who he is. They both bond over having similar interests and ways of thinking, something that Lunella herself appreciates since she was interested in finding someone she could talk about science as well.
As Mel-Varr helps Lunella with her inventions, the two become closer and hang out very often. On the other hand, Moon Girl and Kid Kree develop a sort of rivalry between the two, trying to Outsmart the other on each encounter they have. During this time Mel-Varr and Lunella are unaware that Mel-Varr is fact helping Lunella to come up with weapons to defeat ¨Kid Kree¨.
During the same day Lunella invites Mel-Varr for dinner and to meet her family, Moon Girl and Kid Kree have another encounter in which Mel-Varr loses his communicator-phone that he uses to contact his father. Lunella grabs it and takes it to her lab to examine it.
Tumblr media
Along with Casey, they both learn that Kid Kree is Mel-Varr by checking a visual-audio recording saved on his communicator. This makes Lunella very upset, jumping to conclusions about Mel-Varr instead of talking to him and calls Pad-Var to provoke him.
During dinner Lunella reveals to Mel-Varr that he knows his secret identity as Kid Kree by giving him his  communicator back. This leads to Mel-Varr to realize that Lunella is Moon Girl too. Lunella also tells him that she called his father, making Mel-Varr get very nervous at the mention of it.
Tumblr media
When asked by Mimi about it, Mel-Var explains to the Lafayette family that his father is forcing him to do things he doesn’t want to and be someone he isn’t. He was happy to meet Lunella because he could be himself around her. For the language and expression Mel-Varr has when talking about Pad-Var, it gives the impression that their relationship is abusive to an extent. He gets scared by the idea of having to talk to him and the mere mention of him. He leaves the department, not before clarifying to Lunella that he didn’t know that she was Moon Girl.
Realizing her mistake, Lunella goes after Mel-Varr as Moon Girl and followed by Devil behind. They find him on top of a buiding, where Pad-Var’s ships arrives to pick up Mel-Varr. Pad-Var sees Moon Girl and Devil and fights them to capture them. While the fight is happening, Lunella apologizes to Mel-Varr for jumping to conclusions and causing trouble for him. She wants for the two of them to be friends and asks him to tell his father how he truly feels about him.
Tumblr media
Mel-Varr decides to help Lunella fighting against Pad-Var and gains the courage to tell him that he can’t be what his is expected to be and that in reality he prefers to study science, even if Pad-Var doesn’t approve of it. Instead of being dissapointed, the commander shows interest in Mel-Varr’s inventions, seeing that they could be useful in battle. He asks Mel-Varr to come back so they could put his science skills on use.
After the fight, Lunella and Mel-Varr still remain friends and Marvin gives Lunella a communicator, so they can keep in contact with each other. Mel-Varr goes inside the spaceship, saying goodbye to Lunella.
Tumblr media
Kid Kree retuns in the episode ¨In The Heist¨. He is first seen when Lunella calls him using the comunicator to ask him about the crystal that she and the kids are shown to in the museum. Mel-Varr is doing what resembles a military obstacle course while talking to Lunella, indicating he was able to rejoin his previous school, mentioned in ¨Kid Kree¨. This means he is still trying to be a soldier or that kids in his planet are trained to be soldiers from a young age.
He shows to be deeply concerned about the crystal being inside the museum. He tells to Lunella to take out of there since it has special powers that, when exposed under direct sunlight, it generates horrible weather conditions, which in Kree society are used for a tradition called ¨Bloodvember¨. This demostrates that while he wasn’t on Earth for a long time, he cares about it enough for people to not get hurt by the crystal’s powers.
Tumblr media
Mel-Varr shows up near the end of the episode to retrieve the crystal that Lunella and the STEAM kids took from the museum. He hangs out with Lunella and laughs at her retelling of the heist she and others carried out to get the crystal. They both act a bit awkward with each other, making Mel-Varr almost forget taking the crystal with him in the process. He gives a side hug to Lunella and says goodbye, going back to his home planet.
Mel-Varr shows up one last time in Season 2 A in the episode ¨Dancing With Myself¨. When Lunella is talking to Devil about how she doesn’t have anyone that could be her date for the school dance, Mel-Varr drops from the sky near them and explains to Lunella that the Zargarian (an moth like alien race) are after him because they are sworn enemies to the Pad-Var and they are trying to capture him (again). He asks to Lunella if she knows any place to hide, specially if it is dark to not attract the Zargarian.
Tumblr media
Instead of taking Mel-Varr to a more secure place to hide, Lunella asks him if he could try hiding inside the school dance. She persuades him into believing that it is safe and could help him with ¨fitting in¨ with other teenagers to go unnoticed. Lunella’s true motive is that she is the only one at the dance she doesn’t have a date and takes the opportunity that Mel-Varr is   here to have someone to ¨date¨ and that way fit in with the others.
Mel-Varr quickly goes along with it, probably because he believes that he is going to be safe from the Moth men while hiding in the school. He is still unaware of human culture as a whole, so he trusts that whatever Lunella is telling him is safe. Another point that could be made is that Mel-Varr was in part interested in being Lunella’s date considering he really likes her romantically speaking. Perhaps he wanted to know how dating worked for humans and wanted to try it out.
Tumblr media
In the school dance, they both try imitating what other couples do but it ends up with both of them feeling very awkward and uncomfortable while doing so. It isn’t a situation they enjoy, they feel pressured to do it just to fit in with their peers (mainly from Lunella’s side). In a moment they start talking about science and Lunella stops Mel-Varr, telling him that they should ¨act¨ more like the other couples.
Some time passes when Mel-Varr asks Lunella if they could go elsewhere to hide from the Moth men. Lunella promises they’ll go after a slow dance and Mel-Varr agrees to it if they leave the place after that. They both seem to be having fun dancing until the spotlight light turns on and Lunella asks them to stay a bit longer.
Tumblr media
Finally Mel-Varr snaps at Lunella, telling her to stop. He then explains that the whole dating thing makes him feel uncomfortable and that he ¨is still a kid¨. He doesn’t feel ready to get involved in romantic things even though he admits he really likes Lunella. The spotlight light falls on them, attracting the Moth men who take Mel-Varr.
In the middle of the chaos, Lunella learns that the rest of her friends were dating other people because they thought that that’s what they were supposed to do for a school dance and in reality they feel the same as her when it comes to dating. This make her realize her mistake and goes to look for Mel-varr. Lunella apologizes for pressuring him into being her date, admiting that she was also uncomfortable and if they could stay as friends instead. Mel-Varr happily agrees to the idea.
Tumblr media
Lunella frees Mel-Varr and they both take their identities as Moon Girl and Kid Kree to fight against the Zargarian. Eventually Devil and the rest of the school join the fight, helping with chasing the Moth men away. Mel-Varr and Lunella go back their non-superhero identities and return to inside the school. The episode ends with Lunella and Mel-Varr having fun dancing in the school dance, not as a couple but as friends.
Tumblr media
Another aspect that is worth of bringing up from this episode is that Mel-Varr still struggles with standing up for himself. While what Lunella taking him to the school dance was wrong, he admits that he could have said something sooner about it. He could have been more clear with Lunella that they had to leave the school earlier. It seems to be an issue that he is trying to work through ever since the episode ¨Kid Kree¨.
As for what direction his character arc could take next, it is possible he starts living on Earth since he that’s where Lunella is and he seems enjoy being more on Earth than his own planet overall. It could also be that he moves in out of safety reasons, having in mind that he seems to be the target of plenty of his father’s enemies.
In all, Mel-Varr/Kid Kree is someone who starts as a somewhat enemy of Moon Girl until he realizes that he has a lot of common with her and they become friends. He becomes someone close to Lunella as well as an ally. Thanks to her, Mel-Varr gets inspired to stand up for himself and stay true to who his is as a person.

Character concept for a guy based off a Dianthus Carnation! Flower and lore ideas undercut :p
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Flower in question.
Thinking this guy was born with frail legs and after devoting to Punicae as a patron, she expressed her intense gratitude for him by gifting him enchanted greaves that basically let him walk around and have fun. He’s a clever little guy with a rapier and dispite being human, Punicae treats him as a mother would a son. Masked guy enjoyers come get ya mans. Varre type goober. Full body coming soon. Name wise, I’m resisting the urge to quite literally name him Dianthus Carnation cause Mr. Carnation sounds dope. Started this with a friend of mine who’s also making a flower man :D

They are living rent free on my mind so let me talk about these two's similar themes and how that fuck me over.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Left: Varre from Elden ring
Right: Heimdall from God of War: Ragnarok
SPOILERS AHEAD.
For people who played these two amazing games, its apparent that both character is not well liked, for very good and funny ass reasons.
Their first introduction would make you squeal. The very first moment you met them, they radiate smug asshole energy.
Varre: *Explicityly says how you would die for nothing so easily in the land between. And you being bitchless.*
Heimdall: *Threatening our boy Atreus on a literal edge, wanting to drop him*
Funny ass men have funny as memes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(The last meme is from: 326-3rr0r.tumblr.com)
They look like rats, pathetic rat men. God they are ugly but why are they pretty at the same time? One look dead tired and the other has gold teeth... HOW DID I FIND THESE TWO ATTRACTIVE???
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Getting out the shits and giggles
Both are tragic loyal to a fault characters serving a god that wont bat an eye if they were gone. Varré and Heimdall both wanted love and recognition but they let their action speak than their words.
They both got their traumatic experience. Varré being the only one who survived and himself after Mogh kidnapped war surgeons, forcing them to serve him. Heimdall is with a manipulative father that wont fucking hesitate to kill him if he proved useless.
By personality we see, yeah they are a big dick head but there is some good to them. As much as a cultist Varré was, trying to manipulate you into their cult. He trusted you, and he would give the very best from the Moghwyn dynasty.
Heimdall with his insight, is blind from Odins atrocious acts. He at the end of the day, would protect Asgard his home and his family (that is mostly Odin). Can you really fault him tormenting Atreus when he forsaw the childs want of Ragnarok. An event that destroys his home.
Of course there are actions they've done that are unforgivable. We wont shy away from it. You can't be a baby girl without commiting murder once or twice... or thousands.
With their attitude and upbringing, no wonder they are alone. Its basically canon how lonely these bitches are. No friends nor lover (only in fanfic we trust.).
In the end they both died by the hands of the protagonist. Being loyal 'til the end but their gods didn't have much attachment anyways. Their efforts washed away like a snap. Died like a useless pawn, unloved, a discarded tool.
I love how they have so much to give with their limited story/screentime. I must applaud the writers making such interesting, brainrotting characters. They've capture the hearts of many and maybe ruining some. (a.k.a me, they are ruining me and i have a test and all i could think of is them with my o.c. lol.)
******Reasons why they are popular amoung fans ;)*****
Again... Pathetic men, baby girl. Complaining a fucking lot and talks about their superiority.
Their eyes, god! the lore/importance of their eyes.
The trait loyalty and their sadistic tendencies.
Enemies to lovers potential \(♡○♡)/.
Original characters and Readers p.o.v. galore!
If only there was someone who challenged their ideals and change their outlook of the gods they are saving. Plus someone they kiss too.
Heck just ship them with another character to make them worse >◇<)_
Thank you for coming to my tedtalk.
Bonus: I love how Varré tells sweet lies to get you to his cult. While Heimdall is an absolute soul crusher with his truths.
These two got released last year with two execptional and astounding games. 2022 is the year of gamer and rat men.

IDUNA "HALLIBELL" LEONTE // DEATH MAIDEN he/him. int build prince of death's staff / deathbed dress
Keziah's best friend, who was ultimately forced to stay back in the Lands Between despite tarnishment due to his family. For a time he lived disguised as a finger maiden, feigning grace. When Keziah returned he was only all too eager to assign himself as the other man's maiden despite the falsehoods.
Where Keziah split off to pursue Ranni's plight, Hallibell dove to seek the death mark from her husk. Despite the natural misgivings with Fia's plot and station, he ends up enamored enough with death to utilize its power.
Eventually, both he and Keziah learn of the purpose for maidens as kindling; the latter is unwilling to watch his dear friend die, and despite a willingness for sacrifice, Hallibell would much rather not burn either. The two then turn to drastic measures to kidnap the worst individual they know- White Mask Varre- and after an arduous trek, murder him instead.
Hallibell willingly continues to serve as Keziah's confidant, right-hand man, and bodyguard.

Welcome to the Varemundt lore-dump that everyone has been dying to read I'm sure. Enjoy:
Varemundt Silversong was born to a human mother and an elven father in a village of little note somewhere in Elturgard. He was named after his grandfather, who in turn was named after his grandfather, so he got it into his head pretty early that Varemundt was an old man's name and he prefers to go by Varre instead.
Shortly after the birth of his child, Varre’s father came to the realization that he would vastly outlive his wife and son and he found himself unable to handle the bleak prospect, which led him to abandon his family. This broke his mother’s heart and she soon grew cold towards the boy who came to look more and more like his father with each passing year. By the time he reached the appropriate age of twelve to undergo training as a Hellrider she had him shipped off to Elturel to do just that.
After this he spent the most significant part of his life serving as a Hellrider and dutifully defending the people of Elturgard. But his list of heroics is far too plentiful to recount here. (You try coming up with like 80 years of good guy paladin deeds, I dare you.)
When he wasn’t busy doing all that. Varre was rather fond of competing in various tourneys (and by fond of I mean he got absolutely abnormally competitive about it.) It was during one of these Tourneys that he made the acquaintance of a fellow paladin named Theodoric and fell absolutely and hopelessly in love with him. Though Varre beat Theodoric at housing he was rather impressed by the younger knight’s prowess and he asked him out for a drink after their bout was over, which led to them becoming best friends eventually. Unfortunately for Varre, he was unable to gather the courage to confess his true feelings to his friend and he had to watch him get married and pines after him for the better part of 30 years.
During this time Varre also began to grow discontent with his life of constant strife and he decided it was time to leave the Hellriders for good. This, however, was not such an easy endeavor since being a Hellrider is supposed to be a job for life.  Those determined to resign anyway were given one final “Impossible” task. In his case this task involved slaying an ancient dragon. Hardly impossible, or so he thought, until he realized the creature he had been tasked with slaying was in fact no evil monstrosity, but a golden dragon who had simply been a thorn in the eye of his superiors for defending s group of nearby settlements that they had long sought to “place under Elturel’s Guard”.
Though he returned to Elturel victorious, he was forever scarred by his selfish act and the oath of devotion he had sworn many years before had now been forever broken.
As was the custom, he was then exiled from the city and named a heretic in the eyes of Helm for abandoning his post.
After this he spent a few short years as a farmer. This blissful pastoral life did not last however as Varre realized there would always be people out in the world who were in need of his protection, leading him to pick up his sword once more and travel the land to help those in need.
Eventually, out of a desire to reunite with some old friends, his path led him back to Elturel just in time for the descent. Unsurprisingly, a lot of bad things happen to him in Avernus, the most significant of which is having to watch Theodoric die in his arms. This makes him swear an oath of vengeance and rampage through the hells, killing every devil in sight until the city is saved.

as someone who LOVES all the lore surrounding mohg, the white masks, and especially varre -- how have I NEVER seen anyone else make ocs out of the white masks before??? I never even would've considered it myself........ you are doing gods work friend and I love nepenthe already <33 im assuming she's pretty involved with varre, how do they feel about each other?
HOOHOO! Thanks, friend!
Honestly, I'm surprised I haven't see any either tbh. I LIKE A MASKED FREAK. I feel like the lore of the abducted war surgeons just has so much delicious character potential too… like, obviously Varré is having a good time regardless of the nature of his induction, but what about the people that aren't? Makes ya think.
As for how Nepenthe feels about Varré… I've been rotating this in my mind, trying to figure it out. I would imagine that it's strained and complicated. I don't think they were particularly close prior to getting Mohg'd, if they knew each other at all. But afterwards -- well, a lot of the other white masks seem to have lost their minds according to the lore, which makes Varré the only fragment Nep has left to her past life. The only other person who knew - knows- exactly what she is going through. There's a connection there that she clings to, and she's too scared to let go, so I think she sticks around and pretends to go along with the whole blood cult thing even though she's definitely super perturbed about it all. There's also a bit of a weird... power dynamic, I guess? Varré was the only one that was able to tame the accursed blood. He is the Formless Mother's perfect little war surgeon, he is a shining exception, and he seems like the type of person to hold that over someone's head in his own skeevy way. Nepenthe knows this. She lets him.
Despite it all, I think she would be inclined to call Varré her friend. They've been through a lot together, after all! She'll make excuses for him time and time again -- for his actions, his devotion, his words. Surely, he's on the same page as her deep down, right?
… Right? <:)

Grrm family at the beach Part 1/2
We went to the sea for a vacation, so I felt the need to write some beach vacation inspired headcanons for the GRRM family plus (grand)kids. This post got very long, so I split it into two parts. The first one is the golden linage plus Nepheli and the second will be the Carians and the twins. Reblogs are appreciated. Part 2 needs to be polished but I can hopefully post it soon.
Tumblr media
Godfrey:
He is very excited to go to the beach and have an entire day to spent with his wife and children. After they arrive, he and Godwyn immediately rush throw themselves into the waves. Both have a swimming race to the far edge of the coast and back which Godfrey wins.
After a few more rounds, both grow bored because there is not much to do that provides some kind of challenge for them. (And their muscles)
Godfrey attempts to coax Morgott out from under the shade, or at least assure him that he doesn’t have to be bundled up in towels the entire time. Not one attempt is successful. But he manages to strike up a conversation with Godrick, who eagerly listens to him recount stories of his war campaigns.
Marika:
It is hot girl summer. She is doing hot girl shit. She settles down to sunbathe, wearing her black bikini with matching sunglasses and does not plan on moving for the entirety of their day. She claims she is just there to get a good tan but ends up looking no different the next day much to her frustration.
Sometimes she will sit up and check to make check that nobody has died, the beach isn’t on fire and her warrior husband is still looking super hot.
Godwyn:
He arrives on Fortissax, because of course he does and compared to the rest of his family is he very excited for this day trip. He feels good being outside in the hot sun and doing something for his body.
He is bit upset that his friend leaves pretty early, but being in the presence of the Queen who waged war against his kin and the Lord who carried out said war.
Godwyn’s attempt to flex his swimming skills and flawless demigod body in front of the Black Knife Assassins falls flat and he gets jumped by them later and almost drowns. He also ends up with a sunburn because he assumed his godly skin would be enough protection. (What a himbo)
When it is time to leave, Fortissax is there to pick him up again and they both spent a very long time playing around in the ocean, splashing water at everyone, much to the displeasure of Marika.
Morgott:
Did not want to come. Does not want to be here. He feels way too hot and, the sand is irritating his skin and sticking to the fur, the water is to wet, everything is hot, and his family is too loud. He hides away under a parasol in the shade while being wrapped in a few towels for protection.
He continues to suffer in silence until Nepheli offers him so cool watermelon, which he accepts with some reservation, but he ends up eating whole after noticing how dehydrated he is.
Morgott can’t swim and he isn’t all too fond of large bodies of water after growing up in the severs, but something inside him has been stirred at the thought of at least dipping his feet in the waves and see what it feels like. He ends up standing by the shore while everyone is packing up, but then just decides to head home because the wet sand is sticking to his fur.
Mogh:
Brings his cult (Varre) with him to the beach and attempts to make a spectacle out of his arrival, but no one besides Godwyn shares the excitement. He doesn’t bother giving Marika an ounce of attention and instead chooses to bond with his siblings. (By trying to recruit them into his cult)
Mogh needs to inquire from his loyal follower what is it you even do at a beach, besides swimming and after hearing a few suggestions he simply decides on sunbathing since it allows him to enjoy the warm climate.
He ends up in a heated discussion with Rykard about heresy and ideologies which divert from the principles of the Golden Order, and both become so absorbed in it that they become unaware of how much time has passed until it is time to pack up.
Godrick:
Probably scares children and stomps on their sandcastles or something. He also wants to go swimming for a while, not to impressed Godfrey of course, but ends up pushing himself to exhaustion by trying to manage all his limbs.
He ends up suffering from both sunburn and a heat stroke and joins Morgott under his parasol, where he looks like a miserable wet dog.
Pre grafting Godrick just sits under a parasol and complains about that the weather. There isn’t much to do for him since he doesn’t really know how to swim and can’t even gaze at the sun without his consciousness beginning to say goodbye.
Nepheli:
Is probably the most relaxed out of all of them. She goes swimming and enjoys a bit of a workout before retiring to her beach mat. She eats a bit of watermelon and ice cream and helps Rya pick out some nice seashells to take home with.
She also uses the opportunity to get to know her extended family better, but in her case, it works out because her personality makes everyone feel very comfortable around her. The day flies by way to fast for her to speak to everyone, but she is still glad to have made some more connections with her brothers and sisters.

What If...Earth Faced Hala's Mightiest Heroes?
Tumblr media
So here’s a new What If…? Idea I’ve been cooking up for a while, based on Fantastic Four Vol. 3 #15 from 1999.
(In this alternate universe, shortly after the Battle of New York when the universe was noticing Earth’s true capabilities, the Kree, still reeling from the destruction of the Civil War, decided to keep tabs on and plans to conquer the planet, seeing the possible threats of it if it could take on Thanos’ fleet. Due to this, Dar-Benn’s quest for the Quantum Bands began earlier in this universe, finding it on planet MB-418 sooner than expected, before turning her attention back to C-53 itself.
Upon learning of the collapse of S.H.I.E.L.D. via their sleeper cells and Ronan’s attack on Xandar and the Nova Corps, Supremor Dar-Benn, Yon-Rogg, and the rest of the Kree armada took the chance, invading the planet. Upon conquering all the Avengers, Eternals, and other potential threats, they colonized the planet for themselves, deeming it as their new Hala: Kree-Lar.
Ten years have passed as more Kree populated and took over the planet:
- Starforce used the fallen Avengers’ tech and weapons to become the planets new “heroes,” though winning over public perception was a long and arduous effort. - Yon-Rogg found an orphaned Kamala Khan during the search for the other Quantum Band, who he took pity on and brought in along with the Bangle. Khan became close friends with a bright young Kree Cadet, Mel-Varr, who she nicknamed “Kid Kree.” Both ended up joining Starforce, following close behind the orders of their commander. - Carol Danvers attempted to stop the invasion of her home, only to have her powers siphoned off by the Quantum Bands. Danvers, the Rambeaus, Nick Fury and their remaining allies went underground, forming a small resistance that grew over time with other oppressed civilians. Danvers also adopted the moniker of Warbird due to this outcome, fighting from the shadows without her powers. - Forces like Thanos, Ego, the Sovereign, the Nova Corps, the Asgardians, the Skrulls, and the Guardians of the Galaxy fell to Dar-Benn and the Kree Empire. After conquering all the rival worlds to their own, they quickly became the dominant reigning galactic force.
However, ten years after settling on Kree-Lar, tensions are growing not only against the Kree from the Resistance, but also from within their society. Dar-Benn is so committed to keeping the Kree in power that she has developed plans to build a mutagenic machine with the Bangles to empower all Kree with it’s energies, allowing them to rise further into power.
Faced with preserving their civilization or fighting for a better future, the members of Starforce become divided, questioning themselves and their actions. Yon-Rogg, whose resolve had been challenged by the recent events, wonders if this is really worth it for the “Good of all Kree.” He has also developed a deteriorating relationship with Dar-Benn, due to her adamance to keep the Kree strong at the expense of all other.
On a stealth mission to recover potential stolen data from the rebels, Yon-Rogg and Kamala encounter Carol among them, finding sick refugees with her, a good many of them Kree with a purple sickness apparently inflicted upon them. That’s when they realize the hazardous truth about Dar-Benn’s plans and what it could lead to if she goes through with it.
After the rest of Starforce arrives and sees what is it they were truly sent after, the team becomes divided and sides begin to form, with those like Kamala, Mel-Varr, and Bron-Char siding to protect the refugees and others like Att-Lass and Ty-Rone siding to carry out the Supremor’s orders. Eventually, after a tense standoff with Carol witnessing everything, Yon-Rogg eventually breaks it by shooting the weak spot in Att-Lass’s armor, before running off with his side and the rest of the refugees.
Upon arriving at the rebel base and linking up with the other insurgents, the rebel Starforce units work up a plan with the Resistance to prevent Dar-Benn’s plan. During this brainstorming session, Carol and Yon-Rogg have a very long an tense debate amongst themselves, deciding to put aside what happened to them in the past to stop the Supremor and save the planet.
After intiating their plan, the Resistance Starforce, with Carol, Monica Rambeau, and their allies infiltrate the the Capital Building where the Bangles are being kept. Upon arrival, they were ambushed, and captured, with the rest being thrown in the brig while Yon-Rogg and Carol were brought to witness Dar-Benn’s machinations. She activates the device, only for it to malfunction before their eyes.
Thankfully, having planned this, they had Mel-Varr break out of the prison with Kamala and sabotage the system’s satellite codes, inverting its power on itself and destroying the machine. Furious at this, Dar-Benn and her loyalists attack the rebels and a massive fight ensues, causing much chaos as everyone attempts to get the bands.
Kamala manages to get her Bangle back, as Yon-Rogg manages to throw the other to Carol to restore her powers. Dar-Benn grabs it before she catches it and fatally stabs her with her Cosmi-Rod. As Dar-Benn taunts her with the band, Carol takes the chance to her advantage, clasping it onto her arm and reactivating her powers, using them to clobber the enemy Kree.
As Dar-Benn attempted to escape, Carol gives Yon-Rogg the other Bangle to hold his own. After the two defeat the guards, a two-on-one fight ensues with the Supremor, which ends with them pinning her to the ground as she tempts them to kill her, telling them to do it for the Good of all Kree. Yon-Rogg hesitates for a moment, but instead breaks her Cosmi-Rod in two, deciding to be better for the good of everyone.
After Dar-Benn is taken in along with her loyalists, Yon-Rogg, Kamala, Mel-Varr, and Bron-Char all agree to aid Carol and the Resistance with the relief efforts, hoping to build a better future together. The New Starforce officially embraces their role as the next Avengers, protecting the Galaxy they know and helping rebuild it into a better one.)
Sorry if the bio’s a bit lengthy, but I thought it would be a fun idea for Season 3 of What If…? coming sometime soon. And of course, before I forget, here’s the roster for this versions of Starforce:
Dar-Benn/Supremor Ty-Rone/Seism Att-Lass/Titanium Man Yon-Rogg/Magnetron Bron-Char/Captain Cosmos Kamala Khan/Stormranger Mel-Varr/Kid Kree
IDK, let me know what you guys think of this! Hope you like it!

i wouldnt care about herc/noh varr being a thing if it wasn't for amadeus btw I just think its icky that hes dating someone amadeus's age and I just know amadeus would be uncomfortable with it and idk i do get the vibes that amadeus does get a little possessive of herc (Big evidence of this is the time he whooped on Thor and told him to say he wasnt hercs best friend) so i think he wouldnt handle not only having to share herc but having to share him with a guy whos his age also i need to be super clear AMADEUS AND HERC ARE FATHER AND SON

Potential Candidates for a MALE Elden Ring Romance Questline:
The two canonical romances available are towards women - Marika, and Ranni. In fact, the impetus of becoming Elden Lord means you're becoming Marika's consort. Plus, we have Fia, who we don't get to marry, but she offers this intimate relationship in the form of G-rated hugs. And the player is a little shoehorned into developing heavily-implied-to-be romantic feelings for Melina.
There's no explicit romance (or romance-adjacent relationships) from any of the male characters. Makes me feel a bit alienated, to be honest. Like FromSoftware is playing towards this very specific demographic.
If Elden Ring had a male 'romance questline', who would be your choice?
As of right now, White Mask Varre is probably the closest source of romantic energy we get from a male character. He's dressed in white complete with a head veil, he fights with a bouquet of roses, you first meet this guy in his pseudo-bride getup when he says you're missing a maiden, his animation of giving you the Bloody Finger is reminiscent of putting a ring on it, and he gives you a sickly sweet pet name. He's kinda like an officious parody of marriage, especially considering he's trying to stray you from the path of becoming Marika's consort. Like he's saying, "marry me instead. Join the Blood Dynasty."
Morgott The Omen King is a popular romantic choice amongst the creative fandom. Maybe even the most popular, going by the tags. Weird? Not really; he may not be conventionally attractive beyond perhaps a passing aristocratic image, but he's a tragic anti-hero with a buttery voice. He reoccurs and gives the player so much lore and context, he's the closest we have to an actual nemesis. That's prime material for a relationship with deep chemistry, folks. Plus, marrying him would potentially serve the same purpose as marrying Ranni - Morgott supplants Marika as God, and you become Elden Lord through marrying him. Or, alternatively, (as more than one artist/writer has conceptualized), YOU'D become God/ess and he Elden Lord.
Marrying Radagon probably wouldn't be that different from become Marika's consort. We still don't know the exact nature of Marika/Radagon's dual identity, but it goes to show that in-game Radagon is the current Elden Lord 'cause of his marriage, so he's your rival. We defeat him but not Marika, somehow. Well, what if it was the other way around?
Godwyn The Golden is. You know. A gross undead corpse, and Fia doesn't so much literally 'lay with' Godwyn so much as symbolically conceive a Mending rune through her freaky necro magic. And a big part of Elden Ring's lore is how golden boy Godwyn, 100% approval rate Godwyn, is dead through unjust murder. So somehow bringing Godwyn back to life would undermine a lot of the necessary tragedy of Elden Ring. Still, would it be completely out of line to take Fia's place as Godwyn's 'consort'?
Adult Miquella is another choice I see bouncing around. Come our first DLC, we see Miquella free from Mohg's cocoon and he's finally a grown man, maybe monstrously merged with some freaky moth-like features par the cocoon and Haligtree imagery. Fans of Berserk have noticed some similarities between Miquella and a certain evil god that specializes in cultivating adoration for his own kingdom. Other fans have said that Miquella was a child not just in body, but in mind as well, hence the huge treehouse where all his friends can live, a branch that makes people like him, and being overly generous towards everyone, from his sister, to his lowest soldiers. An adult Miquella with a suddenly adult brain could spell disaster. An adult Miquella who's been manipulative all this while could be even worse.
As far as the various male NPCs go, more than a couple are easy on the eyes. Rogier, D, Yura, Diallos, Blaidd, to name the more popular ones. But marriage/romance in FromSoftware games are always driven by the lore, and not by player whim. If we were to choose a male NPC along the lines of FromSoftware's previous marriage questlines, then Shabriri is the likeliest candidate. Like a consort questline alongside the Frenzied Flame ending. He even plays upon a player's supposed attachment to our Melina, so he's got a tentative hand in romantic ties. As dangerous as he is, I kinda like the idea of an immortal husband that can take the form of anybody.
Bonus: a comment on reddit brought to my attention the DILF Bernahl, whose lines can very easily be read as romantic. “The way he says ‘You... what in heavens name are you doing here?" when you first talk to him in the Volcano Manor. Could almost pass as him being somewhat protective and telling you should think very clearly about what you're doing there.” You invade two NPC with him as a cute first date. He says this upon completing his contract; "Let us thread the path of the recusant together. Till we reach the miserable death that awaits us." In the world of Elden Ring, this is the equivalent of standing outside a window blasting NSYNC.
What's your vote? Do you have a suggestion of your own? Let me know!

If it’s fine, can you do pls a Varre with an s/o that is who is a kind person (something like tanjiro from demon slayer) but is timid and gets easily flustered especially when it comes to romance.. Let’s say Varre really cherishes them and can get possessive when it comes to them😏 I hope it’s fine tho anyways God bless always😁
'Ello dearie! I must admit, I'm not familiar with Dragon Slayer, but I google searched to get a feel for what flavour of personality you're looking for and I hope I got it right. Bless you too 💕
Also, fair warning: this got dark and unhealthy, because... well, it's Varré, it was kind of unavoidable. No harm comes to the S/O though!
Also also: this should go without saying, but although the character anon mentioned is a minor in the show, the S/O here is an adult and is not meant to be the character from the show! (The anon wasn't asking for either of these things, but I just wanna make it clear anyway!)
Varré With A Kind But Timid S/O
Oh, from the first moment Varré sees this one - this sweet thing gazing up at him with wide and nervous eyes, this idealistic thing telling him through a stammer that they don't want the Elden Ring, they just want things to get better for everyone - he's rather... taken.
Not in the sense that he loves them, not right away; but in the sense that he finds them... cute. Like something he wants to keep. He's sure the world is going to break them, and honestly, he doesn't want to see that happen... no, their naïve outlook on life is too adorable for that.
On their travels, they find themself suddenly in less danger than they were before; they're being attacked less. They also find themself running into the stranger in the mask more often, who always has a somewhat condescending but genuine praise for them getting as far as they have in their journey.
At some point, they put two and two together and realise that the masked man is actually actively dealing with things that would try to hurt them. They smile - and it's the warmest smile Varré's ever seen, and he feels something in his heart lurch - and offer their genuine thanks and a polite bow.
And oh, they don't know what they've done, they've just been their sweet self... but in that moment, they've just stolen the heart of someone with a very, very particular brand of love.
Varré isn't shy about showing his interest; about telling them they're gentle and soft as a little sheep, about slowly trailing a hand against their warm cheek as though he's trying to commit the feel of their skin to memory...
When he asks if he can hold them, their eyes are wide and their cheeks are hot and their heart is pounding in their chest, but... they aren't scared; they're flustered. But... he's been nothing but good to them, and although he's a little strange, that doesn't mean he's a bad person; surely there's an explanation for the blood he's covered in, right?
That day marks the official beginning of their relationship, and it's a happy one, truly; Varré and his little sheep are so mutually enamoured. They love how he wants to make the world better with his lord's love, he loves their delightfully earnest outlook on how everyone deserves kindness; they want to help him make a wonderful world, he wants to make their life as wonderful as they deserve...
Never mind how anyone who tries to get close to them finds themself beset by strange circumstances; threatening notes written in unidentified blood, footsteps following them in the darkness, a flash of a deadly sharp dagger in their peripheral vision... It's borne out of a genuine desire to protect his little sheep, to keep them close so they'll never be endangered; it's not healthy, no, but Varré truly believes this a display of love.
And for their part, they're none the wiser... They remain sweet and idealistic, certain that they and their new friends in the dynasty can make a world where things can be better for everyone, forever safe in the arms of the one who will keep them safe at any cost.

if you're still doing these, 🌌🎭🔫 for cohle & johanna?
Ahhh always happy to think abt Cohle more!
Tumblr media
🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?
Cohle really came from the setting of Elden Ring and my desire for e vehicle to learn more about it-- why not make a character obsessed with discovering secrets and knowledge?
🎭 MASKS - do they act differently around certain people? what's different between the way they act around friends, family, strangers, etc.?
Cohle an impassioned, intense and blunt-- he doesn't wait around for anyone to understand and that can be tough! A little because he's mute, but mostly because he's already thinking 6 steps ahead. No one except Blaidd and Iji get the benefit of his patience (Ranni can keep up just fine).
🔫 PISTOL - do they trust people easily? how easily will they turn their back to someone? have they been backstabbed before? will they betray someone if given an ultimatum?
He does NOT trust easily at all. If there's one common thread through the Lands Between, it's that everyone has their own agendas. He's betrayed the Erd Tree, Rykard, Varre, pretty much everyone except Ranni. It doesn't take a lot-- just for him to see a more efficient way to his goals and there's little stopping him if it means stepping over someone.
----
And the same for Johanna, from my Wild Magic West world (heh)
Tumblr media
🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?
I needed a witch for my setting, a damsel who wasn't a damsel, a femme fatale in the literally fatal sense. She holds power over everyone she meets.
🎭 MASKS - do they act differently around certain people? what's different between the way they act around friends, family, strangers, etc.?
Everyone who meets Johanna gets a very different version of her, tailor made to be someone who can get to them the most. There are no exceptions!
🔫 PISTOL - do they trust people easily? how easily will they turn their back to someone? have they been backstabbed before? will they betray someone if given an ultimatum?
Johanna trusts that people want things from her, but she doesn't trust anyone anymore, only one of her late husbands has been given that and it surely isn't Sheriff Lamb.

West Coast Avengers (2018)
Tumblr media
Very watered down plot: Kate is still running away from her problems in New York. She decided to restart the west coast avengers because “all the hero’s are in New York”. We are re-introduced to two characters, Ramone and Johnny. In a past Hawkeye comic we learned a few things about them. They seemed normal at first but we learned they both have powers of their own towards the end. Ramone had quite the introduction with America.
Tumblr media
Obviously this isn’t the last time we see them together. Johnny and Kate have a casual thing during the comic run that is eventually over by the end of the run. One character who I was unfamiliar with prior to this comic was Quentin Quire. His “mega-genius” abilities make him arrogant and hard for the rest of the team to accept. He eventually comes to his senses when Gwenpool arrives in town ‘wanting’ to join Kate’s team. Gwenpool is amazing and crazy and I just love everything about her. She’s just as chaotic and self-aware as her counterpart.
Oh how could I forget, she comes with her own pet land shark named Jeff
Tumblr media
Noh-Varr shows back up to help Kate and ends flirting a little too hard with Johnny. America and Clint are also on Kate’s team. America is strong and amazing as ever. She joining willingly and totally not to keep track of Kate because she wasn’t answering her phone. Clint is still a mess so he’s willing to do anything but still feels responsible for Kate.
There are many villains Kate faces that range from moldy bad to MODOK and an evil cult of vampires who like hero blog specifically. Ultimately all of this is tied back to her mom to some extent that I don’t recall. From what u recall, he mom pretended to be madame masque and revels some big truth to her friends so they would stop killing her and help her save Kate and America.
In my overall opinion: I actually really liked this run. It never felt dull or lacking in any content to me. I finished it pretty quickly which says a lot to me at least. The dynamic between Quentin and Gwen was quite cute. Yes, Jeff was her guard dog and Quentin approved.
Tumblr media
By the end of it there are 3 separate couples and Kate has built a team of reliable people she count on when she’s in the west coast. I didn’t particularly think anything was rushed and I loved the references made towards each characters past. The art style of this comic was absolutely perfect and the humor hit in the right spots.
Overall I definitely recommend reading this if your a fan of the young avengers and particularly Kate.
Here are some cute panels I think y’all should see

If you want to see more Jeff, there is a marvel infinity comic on marvel unlimited all about Jeff and his adventures. I mean just look at him ;-;
