12.22.22 Early morning, soon after it began to snow

We ended up with about 5 inches of wet, heavy snow -the kind which clings to branches, needles, weeds...so beautiful! but often brings down trees.

Snow changed to rain, rained all night, awoke to almost no white. And then the temp took a nose-dive, snowed for a while until it got too cold. Presently 5 °F with a wind chill feel of -14 °.  I so love this weather! but would not, had I no warm home awaiting me.  My heart goes out to homeless people; to ‘pets’ left outside without proper shelter; and even to wild creatures, when weather becomes extreme. Please donate coats & blankets to local shelters; report inadequately-sheltered ‘pets’ to the SPCA (NOT ASPCA! Huge difference, please read activistfacts )
