there's something quite amusing about seeing someone giving in so much and yet pretending that they could never do such a thing; it's a plate full of lies, entanglements, and disguise. "no, I'm sorry, you're not." a playful expression spreads across her face as she gets up, walking towards him. "perhaps i've mistaken you for the man who couldn't get enough of me last week. but now i see: he was way bolder than you are." she can't help the teasing, looking him up and down as if she wants him to see that nyx is capable of perceiving a side of him that not even tommy can see in himself. "oh, how you amuse me," she begins, a mean laugh leaving her mouth. "i'm not even trying, darling. you would know if i was. you are the one who keeps coming back and fooling yourself into thinking you can control your desire."

Pre-plotted starter for @aigonakru's Nyx

Rhys hears the projectile whizzing through the air seconds before it makes impact with the back of his head.

Since the object is small and primarily fashioned of leather, it doesn't do more than sting. But he is impressed by how well Nyx can aim. And how strong he is at only five years old. He's also flashing back to a time many years before, when another Archeron threw two shoes at his head. The memory brings laughter bubbling up to his lips, but he quickly stifles it. His little boy is clearly upset, and laughing at his similarity to his mother won't help matters.

"Nyxie, remember when we're upset, we use our words. We don't throw things," he says as he turns around and crouches down to be at eye level with his son. "What's wrong? I thought that you wanted to go out in the garden with Auntie Elain." Reaching out, he picks up the discarded shoe and holds it out to Nyx.

This night was shaping up to be a trainwreck, feelings of anger, guilt, pain all bubbling to the surface. He ripped his mask off, tossing it to the floor as he heard someone approach. "Fuck off, I am not in the mood," He spat out, spinning around to face the other with a cold glare.

Andy wasn't too concerned with Tony finding out Nyx was at his office considering his younger brother had shown up to the building maybe twice in his life, but there were eyes and ears everywhere, and while he didn't care if his brother knew he was seeing Nyx, she did, and despite his usual selfish nature, he'd honored her request to keep things between them quiet if only so she could maintain her friendship with his younger sibling. His smirk quirked the corner of his lips at her admission and he nodded slightly before looking up at her. "Good to know you can't get enough of me." he teased, unable to help himself. He stood and moved around his desk, leaning on the edge of it and pulling her into him. "You know I always love to see you." he assured her, his smirk uplifting to a proper smile at the corner. "You could've called, I would've met you." That was part of the perks of being the boss, for the most part, he could come and go as he pleased as long as he still managed to get his work done.

Lifting up his box, his eyes narrowed in disbelief, there was only one person able to get into it beside himself and that was impossible. Bringing it with him, he stepped outside of his office and headed down to the parlor, finding Nyx there. "You wouldn't have something to do with this, would you?" He accused, tossing the box into the air and using a charm to keep it from crashing to the ground.

" is this our first 'i love you.' ? " his hands finding her waist when she leaned in. " because, i'm saying it first. "
