He shot her a grin at her comeback, appreciative of the fact that at least they could joke with each other despite the gravity of the situation. “Truthfully, I had a morose curiosity as to how bad the beach got hit after the storm.” He admitted, shrugging, as he kept his gaze on the dolphin in between them, looking for any signs of what he could do to make it more comfortable. “What brought you out here?” 

As she explained her game plan, Cam’s shoulders sagged in relief just the slightest bit, grateful to know that she not only had a plan but that it also involved much more qualified (than him at least) people taking over for them. “That sounds like a good plan.” He nodded in agreement. After a beat, he looked up at her, and asked with an embarrassed grin. “So what exactly does keeping her calm entail?” 

“Nice to meet you, River. I’m Cam.” He added, grateful to be going through this whole thing with someone as cool calm and collected as she was. He wasn’t so sure he’d have had any clue what to do if he’d stumbled up on the dolphin first. “You rescue beached dolphins often?” He asked with a teasing grin. 

river had found that within just a few fleeting moments, she realized she liked this guy. there was something about his demeanour that was exactly what she needed in this moment. she couldn't help but chuckle at his words despite the high stress situation, a genuine smile breaking across her face as she appreciated the humour he infused into a tense situation. ❛ that makes exactly one of us. ❜ she feigns not knowing any better thats paired with a good-natured chuckle. ❛ good thing you decided to come this way, though. where you coming from the school? did you make it? ❜

"You know, this is much classier than we usually go for for sister wife nights, it feels almost strange to not be getting 2-4-1 cocktails at a dive bar whilst trying to unstick our shoes from the floor." Sipping on her glass of, dangerously delicious, wine, Cali glanced out at the view of the vineyard.

The trio had been friends for so long after meeting at work, Cali had lost count of the amount of times they had gone from Marineland and straight into the nearest bar. "It's also really nice to not worry that River and I stink of fish." Chuckling softly, Cali looked back at her two friends before raising her glass. "One more toast even though I've drunk half of this already. To the Sister Wives, may people forever question if we are all married to each other."

Where's Willow Location Trivia: Shadow Lake, Astronomy Peak, and Wisp Island

These three landmarks are very closely connected and key locations in my indie animated series Where's Willow? - A Firefly City Story.

Shadow Lake is a 50-sq mile (80-sq km) freshwater lake occupying the western region of the Sunset Valley. It is fed by the Halo River from the east, as well as a natural spring that lies in the curve of the small Wisp Island in its center. Supernatural beliefs abound about the lake, island, and the nearby 13,100 ft (4000m) Astronomy Peak.

Behind the scenes fact 1: Shadow Lake is inspired by Lake Tahoe in terms of its environment, but in terms of size it is closest to Walker Lake in Nevada.

Behind the scenes fact 2: Astronomy Peak has some extra lore, you can catch a glimpse of it in episode seven of the show! As a hint, a character you see pretty frequently in the show tried to climb it once, and got closer than anyone else!

Behind the scenes fact 3: I won't say much about Wisp Island, but it was somewhat inspired by how cool I've always thought atolls in the ocean are, with their curved strangeness and inner lagoons. Of course this is in a mountain lake, so Wisp island isn't an atoll, but the shape is partially inspired by that.
