Someone in one of my Gale groups shared this Minsc dialogue that I had no idea existed. Not sure where it comes from or if it’s even in the game anymore.
In case you’re wondering if the BG3 writers believe that Mystra is a pr3dat0r, here’s your evidence.

…Mystra would consider...forgiveness?…

My Tav, Grabbing Gale by the collar: "No, Gale. Don't take off the earring.
I want you to wear the symbol of your ex so she can hear how hard I fuck my whole heart into you, then wonder why you're callin my name and not hers like a prayer out in the wilds.
Let Mystra hear what it's like to actually be worshipped by you."
Gale: *gives a shaky thumbs up*
---Draft snippet from a fic I'm writing---
(Art incoming of my Tav who did said smashing in the wilds. Eventually. I have so much work to do. Wish me luck).

I had this debate with someone on twt but they believed that ascended Gale was the best revenge against Mystra for how she treated him, which I said….no. It isn’t. It’s actually the opposite.
Things mortal Gale gets to experience when he’s free of the orb:
•pure, selfless love with Tav
•seeing his mother/Tara/family again
•possibly starting a family of his own
•living in his beloved homeland Waterdeep without having to be confined to his tower
•Reading his books next to his tressym and fireplace with peace and stillness in his heart
•Living contentedly without fear of not being good enough
•The rewarding feeling of sharing his knowledge and wizard prowess as an instructor at Blackstaff Academy
Things Mystra gets to experience as a goddess:
•none of these
THAT is the best revenge against Mystra. Knowing that her life is void of these pleasures that make mortal life worth living, and knowing that he gets to experience them without her influence or presence. He will always have an obligation to her, as is the way of the wizard path in Faerun, but it doesn’t have to interfere with his day to day life.
If he were a god, he’d never get to experience these things and he’d be an equal to Mystra. That power would be insatiable and he would always want to be better than her, so much so that it would consume him completely.
