葛[Tsuzura|Kazura] : Wicker basket; wild vine plants; also read as kuzu and means Kudzu
藤[Fuji] : Wisteria; vine
Although it is a toxic plant, the vine is used as a crafting material. In autumn, it produces deep blue-purple inedible fruits that look like small grapes.

Vine The main vines used are Menispermaceae, Akebia vine, and Rattan, in addition, any other vine that is tough, thin, and bendable can be collected and used.
Menispermaceae There are four types of Menispermaceae: Aotsuzurafuji, Ootsuzurafuji(Cocculus acutus), Kōmorikazura(Menispermum dauricum), and Hasunohakazura(Stephania japonica). Aotsuzurafuji and Ootsuzurafuji are particularly suitable for vine work. All of these vines are flexible and tough, therefore, are used to make earthenware teapot handles, earthenware teapot mats, sieves, fugo (or mokko; tool for transporting heavy objects), carrying baskets, and so on by weaving baskets and wrapping things. The bark can be used as a substitute for hemp because of its very strong fiber.

By the way, when 葛藤 is read as kattō, it means conflict or a wandering mind.
love's character is very dark and/or the sweet innocent duo are going to backstab each other
chimon's is gonna have a heartbreking storyline of some sort
the two guys that keep sticking together are gonna be painfully torn apart (i dare not suggest there's anything going on between them cause i've been disappointed before lol)
dew's character is gonna be a second lead yet again (the rich/poor conflict will be a big part of the love triangle)
the master's assistant is seriously brainwashed and meets a tragic ending
maki is looking for run or trying to avenge him
not likely but maybe one of the kids is put in the group by the school a a mole (tho we did see them all get interviewed)
white is impulsive and that's going to be a problem
fuji plays it tough but she's probably one of the most fragile members of the class
Are you reading the Blue Period manga? What are your thoughts about the last couple of arcs?
Apologies for the late answer, as I didn't see this message until just now. I am a fan of the Blue Period Manga, though I was behind until I saw this message and decided to catch up (to chapter 57).
Blue Period's messages are always kind of heavy and cerebral, and these last couple of arcs are no exception. In the No Marks arc Yatora waffling between the commune-style of art and the art-school style of art was interesting and perfectly illustrates different ways of viewing art and the cultures that surround it. Obviously there's more cultures than the two that were present during that arc, but Yatora has been making his way through various types of art communities through the manga and it gives us a lot of different perspectives in which to view both art and hard work.
I thought it was very interesting and fitting that Fuji made Yatora feel like he was an observed bug, and ultimately his final art piece was an installation that focused on eyes and how people perceive him. As I type this, it makes me realize that kind of subject matter is one that would always have resonated with Yatora, as he has been concerned about how other people perceive him from the beginning of the series. It's a piece that speaks to his core, and makes sense for his theme about guilt. (Also it was great to see Maki again!)
As for the road trip arc, it seems like it's the start of another interesting conversation: the relationship between art when an artist is alive and after an artist has passed. It's nice that we get to have this heavy conversations in the moments of levity for the main characters. I don't have many thoughts on this arc so far, because it has only really just begun.
I finally got to read the extra fashion chapter with Yuka, and boy I'm glad it was finally translated! It definitely watered my crops seeing Yuka again, and Yuka and Yatora hanging out like actual friends going out to see things together. It makes me feel a little less like Yuka just disappeared from the narrative.
