This is a little drabble for an idea I have had in the back of my mind for a mini-series I want to work on. This takes place after the end of the manga, after the events of Sukuna's "death" in JJK.

Contents: N/A...other than some minor fluff ig and JJK spoilers if you haven't finished the manga

"Second chances"

Everyone deserves one, that's how the saying goes, but what if you've burned through more second chances than you could count? Ryomen Sukuna was no stranger to this question. After death, after working so hard to seek revenge against those that had declared him an abomination, he had finally grown...tired. He had no regrets about who he was and how he lived, but if given another chance, he would choose differently.

He never believed he would get the opportunity to do so, but here he was, standing at the very beginning, in a moment he never thought he would get the chance to recreate.

"How do you want to live your life?"

There you were, asking him the question that would change everything. If he remembered correctly, his answer was summed up to the idea that he would do anything to earn the respect he deserved, and if no one was willing to give that to him, he would simply remove them from the equation. The events that led after this decision resulted in your demise because even after he gave you that answer, you supported him. There was no hesitation; you fought at his side because you were also flawed and looked down upon. It may not have been your idea, but you had been at such a low point in your life that you had nothing better to do than follow him blindly into the blood bath he had created. You knew the consequences, and you died willingly for him. However, this was an opportunity to choose differently.

"I don't know."

He watched as your eyes widened in surprise. That was not the answer you had expected from him—it felt out of character. He was such a sure man, so for him to give such an unsure answer shocked you. He jumped in with another uncharacteristic response before you could even ask if he was alright or feeling well.

"But I would like to find out, preferably with you at my side."

Your confusion-stricken expression was laughable to him, but the longer you held it, the more uneasy he became. He was ready to break the tension with his usual mannerisms, but you were quick to beat him.

"You make it sound like we are lovers," you snorted, shoving him lightly before averting your gaze to the sky.

Ryomen Sukuna had burned through multiple second chances; however, now that he had experienced the failure of his pursuits, he found no point in taking this one for granted. Settling and settling down with you did not seem like such a bad idea, so why not seek it? Persisting revenge was so tiring, but this new life he could live out seemed like a calming step away from all the bloodshed and crude words. Now, the world would not change for him, as he was sure plenty of altercations would need to be dealt with, so he would not falter when it came to personality to reflect sickening fondness; however, he did plan to show the respect that both of you deserved.

what if during the time sukuna was abt to get getoed by the sorcerers, LIKE he was strong af and was abt to defeat them but then he sees little flower n her kids running away like CAUSE ITS THEIR CHANCE YK but before he could even do anything, his last memory of them was getting stopped by those sorcerers and so he’s thinking worse case scenarios. also rip to those beautiful angels, esp. the kid that threw up blood :((

AND THEN timeskip to when he was in yuuji, he sees his little flower reincarnated as a single mom to their child LIKEEEEEE no matter who’s the baby daddy, the children’s red strings are with her 🥺🥺🥺🥺

Sukuna gets to reflect on that last moment with them until he dies and becomes a mere cursed object. I like to imagine that during his time as a cursed object, he would sit in whatever void he was in, thinking about it, letting it eat at him. When he thinks about it, Sukuna grows irritated with himself, knowing that Little Flower and the twins slipped away so effortlessly. When Sukuna is reincarnated into Yuji, he just gets to remember it all over again when he sees her and the twins.

Honestly, if he were to see Little Flower bear another man's children would just be repulsive to him. Sukuna is very possessive of her, and even if it isn't exactly his Little Flower, he would still be irritated that "his kids" aren't his kids. They are still laced in another man's blood and carry a different man's features other than his own, though he can somewhat rest easy with the fact that Little Flower had raised them the same way she did in her previous life.

HOWEVER! If Sukuna found that Little Flower was married and had no child, he would be even more aggravated. How could someone marry her and not give her a powerful family, to not put her talents to use? It's messed up how he thinks about it, but regardless, he would be upset.

Well, as much as this is a look into one of the many possibilities for Sukuna, Little Flower, and the twins... we will just have to wait for the next chapter to see what is in store for them. (¬‿¬)

I feel so bad for not being as active on here but hopefully that should be resolved in the coming month! I will still be a full-time college student but I’m switching to part time work because I know if I stay full-time at my job, at that rate, I’ll burn myself out. Hopefully that will leave me some breathing room to finish the Epilogue and start my next series!! ٩(^ᗜ^ )و ´-

P.S. the Epilogue is about halfway done!! I’m super proud of it (๑>ᴗ<๑)

Hey ya’ll!!!! I just wanted to let you know that the next and FINAL chapter of Survival (not including the epilogue), has been finished!

Key word “HAS”!!!

It’s been finished for awhile (awhile being since the 26th of last month) but I’ve been struggling with technical difficulties while trying to transfer it to Tumblr. With work in the way I haven’t had much time to figure out the issue, but I’m pretty sure it’s just my computer being an old gal.

I’m hoping to get it posted tomorrow if my computer decides to stop having a hissy fit at me.

...is going to be released tomorrow when I get out of work! I just managed to get my computer fixed today and picked it up! FINALLY!!! I have to make some tiny touch-ups (such as adding to the taglist and confirming the word count, small stuff like that, but I'm glad I could recover everything and get it transferred!)

I’ve been dying to sit down and focus on finishing it, but the best I get to that is when I’m on my breaks and then head home to proof read and edit it. Do not worry I’m hoping to release it before the end of the month!! 😭

Honestly, I was so hyped when posting this recent chapter. I had been waiting so long to write that scene, and I finally did!!! I thought about leaving it on more of a cliffhanger, alluding to death(s) and announcing it was the twins in the next chapter, but I was way too eager to not get it out.

The next chapter is in the works, and I cannot wait to post it. It might be the last chapter, but depending on how long it ends up, I might split it into two. Hopefully, I'll finish and be able to publish it next month, but we shall see since I started a new job recently, and my schedule is currently a little wonky due to the holidays and everything.

P.S. I can’t believe it has almost been TWO WHOLE YEARS SINCE I STARTED WRITING THIS STORY 😭😭

Alright, quick update regarding Survival! The next chapter will still come out this month and is half way finished. Once I get the chapter out I will also release a one-shot soon after while continuing to write for Survival!

I apologize updates have been slow and that I have been quite inactive these past couple months, but I’m hoping to fix that in due time.

Hello Anon! I do not have an exact date for when I will be releasing the next Survival chapter, but I have started writing it!

With work, the holidays, and other life factors, being able to sit down and focus on writing has been challenging as of late. I hope to get this chapter out by January! I wish I could say it would be released before Christmas, but I don’t want to make any false promises.

tbh i’m so confused as to why you killed the children? like i just don’t get it

Im going to be honest, Anon. The twins were always going to die. I’m not gonna say much about why I killed them off only because that will ruin a future chapter, but I will say this:

The twins cannot stay the perfect golden children forever– it is not very realistic to me in this story. At one point or another, they would have been killed.

I had this story planned for a while— long before I decided to write it. The day I sat down and started typing was strictly out of impulse and not expecting the attention it got (which I am beyond grateful for). From the beginning, this story was meant to have dark themes with specks of comfort and fluff, but NOT a comforting and fluffy story in the slightest way. I mentioned from the very beginning that I was going to stay as canonically accurate to Sukuna’s character as I possibly could. To be honest, I slipped through those cracks a little, but I’ve tried my best. Sukuna, in my opinion, is not a character who knows how to love; he is not a character who is capable of genuinely loving someone– at least at this stage of his life. Sukuna understands the concept but does not care for that type of affection himself. He would rather have understanding than love, whether in a negative or positive light.

Y/n and the twins are not acceptation to that. He will never truly love them, but he will accept them for as long as they are of value to him.

Someone has to stop me…I want to write another Gojo angst in five hours like I did last night and then work on a nice fluffy one-shot while I write Survival…

As I finish up the next chapters of Survival, I am now more than ever tempted to write a Gojo angst and then a couple fluffs afterward to make up for the pain I will undoubtedly cause once I write the angst…sorry not sorry
