G.U.N. agent Sonic AU:

Sonic appeared on Christmas Island as a hoglet, living with the chao and other animals. Before he could encounter Eggman, he was found and captured by G.U.N.

His first few years were training and experimentation. They cut/removed his quills to make their weapons. They pushed him to be faster and faster. They taught him to fight both hand-to-hand and with a lot of weapons. Most importantly, they molded him to be loyal and emotionless. For these reasons, Sonic didn’t fight when he was sent to ‘clean up’ an area. He was eventually so powerful that they only made him ‘clean’ other G.U.N. bases that needed to be erased from the records

Then, Abraham became the commander. He investigated this top secret project. He was absolutely horrified, and not just because this hedgehog reminded him of the one he used to know. Abraham shut the program down. Arrested, imprisoned, and even executed (if they were sentenced execution) many in the branch of G.U.N. who allowed projects such as this one

Unfortunately, Sonic was too powerful to be let free, so although he didn’t get missions, he was passed around across G.U.N. bases. He eventually got Sam Speed as a handler. Between him, Abraham, and other agents, Sonic developed a sense of self. He chose to become a proper G.U.N. agent despite the insistence that he didn’t need to. Sonic was stuck with G.U.N. and his training, so he didn’t see a reason not to

He was the one they sent after Eggman’s machines because only he was strong enough to handle them

Because of Sonic, Amy and Tails joined G.U.N., too, and Knuckles receives their support in keeping the Master Emerald safe. It should be noted that Sonic didn’t want any of this to happen.

I have Tails’ scene mapped out. Sonic accidentally saves him, like canon. He brings Tails back to G.U.N. only because he wants them to find Tails’ parents. Tails wants to stay with Sonic, and he proves his worth by showing off his intellect. He’s allowed to join. Sonic sneaks into Tails’ room after he finds out. He’s about to shoot the kid because he sincerely believes death is a better fate for him, but he stops when Tails awakens from a nightmare. Sonic comforts him, and decides in that moment that he can’t take Tails’ choice away from him. If Tails wants to be part of G.U.N., that’s the kit’s decision

My ideas for this Sonic is that he wears a gray-black G.U.N. jacket, only removing it when he needs to get serious. He grows his quills out because he’s finally allowed to, and he usually keeps them tied back in a ponytail-esque style (I like the hc, sue me). He has more boots than shoes, but they still allow him to run fast. He keeps a gun powered by a chaos drive (from his quills) on a thigh holster while a knife is attached to the interior of his jacket. He prefers hand-to-hand, tho. And while Tails eventually gets the plane, Sonic will probably keep a number of rides himself that help him preserve chaos energy.

I've seen a fair amount of idea's online of Agent Stone becoming the next villain after the events of Sonic 3, following in the footsteps of his "friend" Robotnic. While I really like the idea of Stone spiraling out of control, I think there could be a much more compelling senario.

You see, if Agent Stone wants revenge, there is absolutly no reason to go after team Sonic. Stone is (as we have seen in his introduction in movie 3) a rather capable and reasonable man. He understands it was not Sonic who indirectly killed robotnic, but Gerald and Shadow.

It is all but confirmed that Shadow is getting some piece of media (be it a movie or TV show), where he probably will have to grapple with what he wants out of life now that he is able to step out of Gerald's shadow. He would want anwsers of who he is, and thus has to infiltrate G.U.N. and maybe even learn some dirty secrets about them along the way.

Now here is where Agent Stone comes in. After realizing Shadow is alive, Agent Stone starts out as an antagonistic force trying to capture or outright kill him as revenge for the death of Robotnic. But as more information about G.U.N and Shadow comes to light, Agent Stone is forced to face the truth that Shadow was just as much a pawn in Gerald's plan as Ivo Robotnic. Thus the two band together to take G.U.N down.

This can even lead to a movie version of Team Dark from Sonic Heroes, if they are willing to introduce Rouge in some sort of way. Agent Stone could take design que's from E-123 Omega by piloting an old robotnic mech, as he is a lot more vulnerable then his alien teammates.

That is the G.U.N uniform. What the actual fuck is Tom doing with that outfit on? Is he working with G.U.N now or is he undercover? If Shadow is after G.U.N or the Wachowski's (which is possible), that has me very concerned

Sonic the Hedgehog - Amy joins G.U.N.

After trying out her new Camo dress, Amy decided to join G.U.N. and is being trained by none other than Shadow much to the amusement of the rest of Team Dark and Agent Topaz. Amy with a hammer is one thing but imagine her with guns and explosives.

Silly plot idea for Villain/Dr. Stone I just thought of.

After months or a few years of dissapearing post-Sonic 3, Stone takes Robotnik's streaming channel and starts streaming there. He does tutorials on simple things like coffee making, clothing sewing, etc. Gets funding by Robotnik's former fans.

One day, Though, after one close encounter with the Sonic Team, Stone streams a different tutorial. A weapon Showcase. But the guns he creates and uses are powered by Sonic quills and Chaos energy. They give devastating results.

The streaming at this point is popular enough for Sonic's human family to see and they realize what Stone is doing. The new Doctor knows G.U.N is keeping an eye on the streams. The family realizes He's luring it and possible other great corporations and governments into considering weapons powered by Chaos energy.

The streaming account is Taken down but it's too late, new G.U.N management and other government bodies are already in contact with Stone, recieving funding and support from them to hunt Sonic Team down and use them to power war weaponry.

Thus Sonic Team looses all safety and are forced to be on the run, with whole states, G.U.N And Dr. Stone chasing after them with intentions similar to Robotnik's in Sonic 1.

An old G.U.N. program discovers a living energy source that serves as a valuable weapon. When Abraham is doing a complete overhaul of G.U.N., he and his agents discover a child. They keep this child for a while to teach him about society and how to control his powers, but all the child has ever known is being a weapon and being a G.U.N. agent. Even when he's given the name of Sonic, he continues working for G.U.N.

Or, a non-linear timeline of the games but if Sonic was a G.U.N. operative (also Amy and Tails become operatives because of Sonic)

SCU Rouge and Rachel frenemies and G.U.N teammates

I thought I'd add a bit more to my theories about the kind of relationship I imagine Rouge and Rachel having both as G.U.N agents and as frenemies/Vitriolic Best Buds. I shared a little on my last Amy and Maddie post:

I'm thinking their partnership and eventual friendship could share similarities to Rouge and Topaz's partnership and Vitriolic Best Buds friendship in the Sonic X series.

Like Topaz, Rachel seems to trust authority, and both seem to have a pretty hot temper. Though Rachel is pretty green to G.U.N while Topaz has more seniority. Also, I read that Topaz has a tendency to give up easily which doesn't sound at all like determined Rachel. Plus, Rachel has a lot of sass to keep up with Rouge.

Rouge is the rule-breaking jewel thief with lot of sass. I'm sure would think up a lot of witty roasts against Rachel, much like Rouge does with Topaz, e.g. calling her an "old lady". Either way, I'm sure these two will definitely be constantly bickering and sassing the other.

I believe Commander Walter's does (or did if he truly is dead) want to build rapport between aliens and humans to make up for his past failures and making an alien like Rouge a member of G.U.N is considered the first step. See my Team Dark theories here for explanation of where I hope they take G.U.N in the future:

I imagine Rouge and Rachel will not like each other at first. Rachel especially would not trust the thieving alien bat, calling her "nothing but trouble". Regardless both are forced to work together on a mission and basically struggle at first to work together.

By learning to work together as a team they eventually learn to respect and even care for each other. While they might be too proud to admit they love and care about each other, in time they themselves understand that they do and share that affection in their own special way, e.g. a high-five, power bump or simply sharing a smile.

Do you think Rouge and Rachel's partnership/friendship could mirror Rouge's Sonic X counterpart's friendship/partnership with Topaz? How do you believe their relationship will be similar and how do you think they will differ?

same anon that asked about Phantom staying in movieverse! How do you think he would get along with Rockwell, assuming she's the one in charge of GUN, as Rockwell seems to hate aliens?

Phantom would get along with her as well as she’ll let him. Rockwell isn’t much different from the people on the ARK, after all. Other than Tails and Abraham, Phantom was either feared or hated (both in a lot of cases)

Additionally, he’s fought against alien invaders for Earth. While he doesn’t condone being immediately racist against them, he doesn’t blame her and wouldn’t really try to change her opinion. Phantom put up with Black Doom, after all

Honestly, Rockwell might grow fond of his obedience. He’s an efficient agent, after all
