Midnight Snack
A Real Fake Animals Installation, 2023
MIDNIGHT SNACK, a Real Fake Animals installation came down a bit ago. I figured it's time I actually post my groceries from the show!
The installation was at the 301 Frame Gallery in Beverly MA. What a fantastic opportunity to work with so many neat friends/artists in a place I find to be a home away from home. The installation was for the two windows are the first two images there, one side a blanket wall of puppet heads, and the other a creature being caught getting a silly snack.
I obsessively assisted in the craft of the character, made lots of grocery items (not all are pictured), and participated in other late-night shenanigans. These are my favorite items that I made.
All are made from felt, embroidery floss, lots of fabric glue, some bristol board, and plastic plates.
Official RFA website and other info coming soon, thanks for the support!

Phyllida Barlow (UK, 1944 - 2023)
Untitled: blockcratewedge, 2014. Dimensions: 240 x 383 x 302 cm
'GIG', inaugural exhibition at Hauser & Wirth Somerset. Occupying the 18th-century Threshing Barn, adjoining farm buildings, outdoor spaces and one of the new galleries, Barlow's dense and exuberant sequence of installations celebrates the rejuvenation of Durslade Farm that lay derelict and unoccupied prior to its recent conversion into an arts centre.

HYUNDAI GARAGE GALLERY INSTALLATION
Hyundai Motor Studio, an event and exhibition space which opened in late 2017 in Beijing is designed by 2x4 and came to life thanks to the collaboration of different teams and talents. I was responsible for creating visuals for a 50-foot long screen in a “garage gallery” inside the building. The space and video installation is purely dedicated to the purpose of speaking about Hyundai’s Fuel Cell technology in an abstract, non-concrete way and invites people to take a moment and meditate in a space surrounded by ocean waves, bright color fields and dreamy sounds.
