Over the past few months, I have had the honor of my silly cartoon strips to be featured in issues #176 - #181 of the Boston Compass Newspaper! This is my first time publishing my cartoonist works in a collective group, and it's been such a fun time. You can read all of these issues along with past and present by exploring their site.

BCN is a collaboration of love, artistic vision, and filled with empowering information that acts on the wellbeing of the city and the people who live in and around her. Hellooo, I'm MAXFOSTER, an animator and sequential artist who practices close enough to Boston, MA. My work is an attempt at witty surrealism through various independent comic and animated film works. I'm working on lots of stuff all the time but don't show a lot of it, so I'm determined to get better at that lol

Midnight Snack

A Real Fake Animals Installation, 2023

MIDNIGHT SNACK, a Real Fake Animals installation came down a bit ago. I figured it's time I actually post my groceries from the show!

The installation was at the 301 Frame Gallery in Beverly MA. What a fantastic opportunity to work with so many neat friends/artists in a place I find to be a home away from home. The installation was for the two windows are the first two images there, one side a blanket wall of puppet heads, and the other a creature being caught getting a silly snack.

I obsessively assisted in the craft of the character, made lots of grocery items (not all are pictured), and participated in other late-night shenanigans. These are my favorite items that I made.

All are made from felt, embroidery floss, lots of fabric glue, some bristol board, and plastic plates.
