was scrubbing through some clips of ninjago season 2 - specifically looking at how that scene where garmadon immediately orders his wife be freed and stutters over every other word.

came to the conclusion that these two could've objectively been the funniest couple in the show if the writers were competent, given she's a historian and he's a dramatic threatre kid who has been through all of history.

(and also if they didn't make misako try to date his brother. why did they do that.)

Death of destiny au

I’m just imagining Misako just busting out Garmadon like Shrek and fucking donkey from the first shrek movie. Garmadon being Fiona in this case and he’s like just oh shit I gotta look good for this. The whole fresh perfume and straightening out his fur. Because he’s never been rescued before? And oh damn Misako looks hot….

Garm is absolutely starstruck when Misako busts into the Underworld to get him out.

I've been envisioning it like, the Stone Army enters the Underworld and approaches the Skulkin stronghold, but under a white flag, and then when they get as close as they can without a battle breaking out Misako reveals herself as the one leading them.

Garm blue-screens a bit, before racing out to meet her while painfully aware of the fact he doesn't even look remotely human anymore (and painfully aware that he hasn't bathed in a bit and is only wearing a torn pair of pants and a helmet) but hey, that's his wife down there! He thought it would be years, maybe even decades until he saw her again, but she's right outside his new front door.

It's a bit of a shock to see each other again, since they both look a bit different (Garm's an 8 foot tall hairball and Misako has used enough dark magic to look a bit different too) but more than anything they're just happy to be together, and Garm can hardly believe his ears when Misako tells him that she came to join him.

For better or worse.

Opinion time. I think I ship past garmisako (pretending that the whole wu, letter thing never happened bc it’s my least favourite thing in this show). They were incredibly close and fiercely in love.

But after Garmadon’s banishment, and Misako’s departure from Ninjago, they’ve grown apart and became different people.

When they both came back to the city in s2, there was some tension there, but it was merely a longing for the love they used to have.

By the time of s3-4 they mutually agreed to just be platonic, they still care about each other but are just not intimate like they were before. They still lived together tho just for convenience sake. They are divorce besties now!

It's really funny to think about the drastically different dynamics of Wusako and Garmisako.

Like, the best way I can sum it up is that if Misako tried to buy a candy bar from a vending machine and it got stuck:

Wu would have change on hand, and pick the right treat to knock the candy bar down so they both get a treat

Garmadon wouldn't have any change, and he'd get his arm stuck in the machine trying to grab it, and somehow manage to get like, five different snacks out, none of them what Misako was trying to get in the first place.

So, back to my post-corruption AU.

I was thinking much about it. Just wasn't posting, 'cause I wanna think about it more a make all facts clear. But now, I am ready to write about it.

So, I thought really much about Garmadon, his family and himself. First, I said, that he feels no pain from his wounds on shoulders and ribs (where you can see his bones). But I was thinking, and made a dicision: he wasn't feeling pain at tge first place. But a few weeks passed, and one night he start feeling pain. And it was growing really fast, so he needs to get reconstraction surgery of his missing muscles and skins' parts.

I think, there is no need to say, how surgers were scared of operating him, 'cause he was a villian. And people still mistrusted him, because he stills looks like he was during the time he was evil. Just with two hands.

But operation went good and he was able to live normal life after that, feeling better.

So, now, as I am rewatching season 3 I wanna say one different about sensei Garmadon in season 3 and sensei Garmadon in my AU (beside him looking as in pikot season):

He has no pupils or very very littke, 'cause many oeopke are still scared of him. That's the one point why he lives far from Ninjago city. Noone is bothering him there and nobody is shouting and watching at him.

He feels comfirtabke and calm out of town. Though Misako do.

Oh, about her! She is the one, whi sees her husband, as him, and knows that he is now without venom, despite he looks quiet ths same way. So, she is happy that he is back and they spend really much time together. Garmadon is trying to fix everything he does, 'cause he isrealky sorry for everything. He blames only himself and thinks he doesn't deserve that happiness and live with his family. Misako doesn't feel so. She have forgave him. So, Lloyd did, who is happy to live as whole family

Are there going to be any ships (platonic or romantic) in this au?

Nothing between any of the ninja unless it’s canon (even then it’s iffy as I’m not big on ships of any kind to begin with). The only romantic ship I can think of that’s ninja-related would be Jaya, and maybe Pixane, but that depends on if I decide to even introduce PIXAL anytime soon since currently the blog is still in the ≈ season 1 equivalent. There might be a few ships that I personally like between background characters that’ll show up but don’t count on it, I try to stay out of shipping stuff in this fandom ajskajskdj

I think it's very funny that the further along this wheel I get the more you can see what art skills I picked up from drawing which franchise. And for Ninjago, that's overly detailed rendering/particle effects and outfit changes with actual lettering and a mix of his kid/adult hairstyles. also my correct white-haired 9yo supremacy continues.

I'll start drawing an au (in this style) for him one of these days. lloyd, garmadon, and nya deserve better storylines than what they got.

Death of destiny au Garmafam.

Misako, Garmadon, Skylor, Lloyd, and Unagami.

And a bit more info about the au!

So, the whole things actually starts right after the FSM imprisoned the Overlord on the Dark Island. He's realized that the two of them are equally matched, and even though FSM has managed to stop the Overlord for now, he would never be able to permanently stop him.

FSM travels to Cloud Kingdom, gifting the inhabitants the magic destiny-altering scrolls and quills and ink, and tasking them with finding a way to permanently end the Overlord.

From there, the Green Ninja Prophecy is written, and the scribes of Cloud Kingdom spend the next few millennia rewriting the lives of the citizens of Ninjago to try and fulfill the Prophecy.

Things go as cannon until Garmadon gets banished. Misako, instead of trying to just research the Prophecy and find a way to get around it, decides that the best way to save both Garm and Lloyd from the Prophecy is to take Lloyd and raise him to be evil with Garmadon.

The lead scribe (Fenwick? Was that that fuckers name?) doesn't think anything of this, writing off her efforts as too futile to even be a threat to their plan (cannon. The plan is everything that happens in cannon).

After all, what can a single mortal woman do against the power of Destiny?

A whole fuckin lot, actually.

Misako studies dark magic, takes control of the Stone Army, and breaks Garmadon out of the Underworld while Lloyd is still young, no older than a toddler.

The couple then turn their attention to conquering Ninjago, and raising Lloyd together.

Lloyd being raised by a demon warlord and a dark sorceress who absolutely adore him leads him to genuinely wanting to be just like them, and the Green Ninja proudly proclaiming that he wants to be evil, and actually meaning it, breaks the Prophecy.

And all the scrolls in Cloud Kingdom, freeing everyone in Ninjago from the grips of destiny.

Which leads to many characters forging different paths for themselves, like Skylor. She escaped from Chen's island when Clouse finally has enough and stages a mutiny, and gets caught trying to steal supplies from a camp of Garmadon soldiers. Garmisako realize that she's the Elemental Master of Amber (which is a Wild Element in my sort of expanded Ninjago lore), and decide to take her in.

They raise her like she's their own, and after some time passes Skylor comes to view them fully as her parents, and Lloyd as her little brother. As a teen, she is a brutal second-in-command to her parents.

Confession time, I still haven't fully seen S12 yet, but I know enough about Unagami to throw him in there too. He's found by or reaches out to the Garmadons, starts working with them, and quickly becomes friends with Lloyd.

The little drone thing is one of many that Unagami uses to interact with the physical world, haven't decided if/when he can start trapping people in the digital world, or what that would be used for.

Lloyd is a chaotic gremlin of the highest degree, fights with a mech, and also has a stinger hidden in that tuft on the end of his tail.

They're all Disney villains, and having an absolute blast menacing the entire continent of Ninjago together.

Whats the family dynamic like for Misako, Garmadon, Nya and Lloyd like in your Venomous Teachings AU and are Mystake and Kai included in it since Mistake helped take care of Lloyd while Garmadon was banished and Kai gets freed from Wu's manipulation?

Kai and Mystake are definitely considered part of the family, even if it takes Kai a hot minute to actually realize and accept that.

They're a massively chaotic family, for a lot of reasons. Garm and Nya are like, actually a bit feral bc of the whole 'decade in the Underworld with only each other' thing. And I mean feral in a 'not accustomed to civilization and polite society' way, not a 'chaos for chaos sake, will bite as a greeting', though both do apply.

The two are also incredibly close, as are Misako and Lloyd, which is to be expected from, y'know, having no-one else around for a decade/most of the kids lives.

Garm and Misako kinda just, fit back together almost immediately once they're reunited. They're that type of old married couple who've been in sync with each other so long that even after a decade apart where the both of them have changed, they just click back together like they were never apart.

Things between Nya and Misako have a one-sided awkwardness to their dynamic at first, mostly from Nya's side. Growing up, Garm told her a lot about Misako, the wife he absolutely adored, and how he knew she would be just as happy to have Nya as a daughter as he is, to the point where he's been referring to Misako as 'your (Nya's) Mom' for years, and Nya's been excited for years to finally meet Misako and her probably younger sibling.

But actually meeting made things different. Nya's usually very unapologetic about being who and what she is. As long as she has her Dad in her corner, who gives a shit at the side eyes she gets when she refuses to use silverware? He isn't using them either!

But Misako is Human. The only Human Nya actually wants to like her (Kai's her brother, so even if he looks Human she knows he can't be, not fully, so he doesn't count and his teammates are annoying).

And there's also a bit of fear of 'I know Dad said she'd like me, but what if she hates me as much as the rest of the city and is just pretending for Dad's sake?' or something like that.

Misako picks up on something going on with Nya, how she seems to act differently around her vs anyone else, and quickly puts Nya's fears to rest. Sure, a surprise 14 year old kid showing up with her thought-to-be-dead husband wasn't on her bingo card that year, but she's happy to have Nya as a part of their family, and wishes all the 'stop Wu from taking over the world' stuff wasn't making it so hard to get to know each other.

Things go smoothly for them after that.

Lloyd and Nya hit things off almost immediately and are absolute menaces together.

After...everything that happens with Wu and the Mega Weapon, Kai and Nya both are officially adopted by Garmisako, something that takes Kai a while to adjust to.

Kai pushes back against them hard at first, Garmadon especially. Life with Wu was rigid, structured, strict. He knew what was expected of him in any situation, and knew what the consequences for not meeting those expectations was.

Garmisako are very much not like that.

Eventually, Kai does warm up to them, but with his luck he doesn't get to the point where he's comfortable calling them his parents until just before Ray and Maya are freed from Krux, which makes things really complicated again.

Mystake is kinda like a vodka grandma to the RGB siblings and the other kids. She's a bit like that meme " 'what are you doing?' 'teen rebellion' 'fuck yeah, stick it to the old people' ". She gets a bit naggy with Garm, but it all comes from a place of concern for this disaster of a pup she's known his entire life. Mystake is honestly boggled that Garm's made it this far without dying.

In the venomous teachings au Do Misako and Garmadon inevitably end up adopting the traumatized ninja alongside Skylor? When Wu and his associates are defeated.

Legally? Nya gets officially adopted as soon as possible, Kai might get adopted or Garmisako might help him become emancipated to distance himself from Wu (haven't settled on that), Skylor might also get officially adopted but that depends on what (if any) ship I settle on for her, Zane becomes their foster child after Wu's defeat and before they find Dr Julien, and Cole and Jay might get roped in as in-laws again depending on ships.

Emotionally? Those kids are Their Kids, legal paperwork be damned
