I've been waiting my whole life to tell you about NightingaleClan.

SO GILLSTEM!

Gilly's a relatively young warrior, at only 23 moons old at present, but they've already got a reputation for being bull headed and stubborn, picking fights at borders and gatherings since they were a paw. She's incredibly protective of her first apprentice, Frogpaw. The two get along like a house on fire.

They were brought to the clan as a kit, their parent found dead on Nightingale territory.

Sundream has SUCH big main character energy, ngl. Her littermates Lionmoss and Skykit both died, her older brother Agavepelt despises her and treats her like crow food, and her mom has probably literally never said a single positive thing to her. She doesn't HATE her, just has literally negative respect for Sun, and that attitude has rubbed off on her clanmates as well.

She has a crush of Gillstem????? She needs therapy.

The one where the books are well-written so we wouldn't need so many fix it au's 😔 But as my serious answer I'd probably pick a small au that would help thematically tie an arc together, like having Shadowsight die in TBC and also have the code changes be significant and mean something? Or maybe an AU where the women in DOTC aren't treated so awfully by the narrative. Idk this whole series has hundreds of thematic and character weak points that could be addressed.

Then there’s Thrushglare and Brownbelly, my dear mate and his sister of course!

Sky was close, but uh…things happened. Hey uh, Jackalcry’s kits remind me so much of Sky and I though! I like Crowpaw more though. Reminds me of me, y’know?

I dislike Jackalcry though…I don’t know what Brown sees in him…

Oh, and I still see Ice. He isn’t exactly…good to hang out with, but I still love him.”

Morningthroat - Can annoy him, but if they look past that they can actually be quite friendly. They understand the occasional annoyance, and the fact that they can talk about it shows how close they are

Canaryyell - While they aren’t too close, when Canaryyell isn’t being an angry bastard he’s actually just a chill autistic guy. He’s just an autistic meow meow triggered too much. They’re both autistic meow meows and can vibe with each other since they aren’t ones to make others angry (unless like. Canary is angry. Then he goes RAHAAHAAAAAAGRRRRR)

Thrushglare + Brownbelly - I go over their relationship a bit more in canon however they’re all just really close. Ik there are some other trios but this is one of the closest

Sky - Adopted sibling, I don’t want to spoil too much because the comic is his past which is what Sky is in

Indigopaw (Jackalcry’s kit not called by name) - He’s like his dad but like. Kinder. Jackalcry is louder but more sarcastic or snappy, while Indigopaw is a little guy who’s like. I LOOOOVE BUTTERFLIES!!!! Long isn’t at close to him but he finds him amusing

Crowpaw - Is a dead reminder of Longfeather as an apprentice. Quiet, polite, and just oddly aware. Long sees him as a little him, and spends a decent amount of time with him to see how he turns out, he’s also his mentor

Ice- He adopts him, cares for him, and just goes for a decline at some point. Loners and stuff work a bit differently here so he is near the border/land so Long will visit him to make sure he’s not dying or something. Long deeply cares for him, and while Ice is now more irritable and unstable, he still comes over and loves his father

Jackalcry - Something about him deeply irks Long. Maybe it’s his personality, maybe he feels a bit jealous of how close it is to Brown, who knows. He always asks Brown things like “what do you even see in him?” because he doesn’t quite like him. He can stand him, but it’s still a dislike. I felt the need to call out he disliked him because it’s a decent bit of info/lore to know

he seems to be doing alright. of course, im a good bit ahead of the posts on the blog, so that probably has something to do with it, but I imagine he's been taking a lot of comfort in his kids and grandkids still being around

NOT AT ALL!

Orangestar is the current leader of Nightingale Clan. She's known for her fierceness and harsh personality, with an incredibly sharp tongue and a deep disgust for anything that she, personally, perceives as weakness.

It's something that puts her solidly against her fellow clan leaders, and even cats that are meant to be close to her. She is incredibly cold to her daughter, Sundream, mocking her more pacifistic world view and gentle manner, and the rest of Nightingale Clan tends to follow suit. It's actually hilarious just how much she favors her older son, Agavepelt, when he's just. He's just the worst.

AND AS FOR THE KITS!

These five are, as of Nightingale's Moon 105, the only kits in the clan and they're about 3 moons old and incredibly rowdy and chaotic. They came into the clan with their med cat father, Lightcry, and are currently driving their new clanmates insane.

Beetlekit and Tigerkit are tied for my favorites. :)

Should I watch the walking dead?

I think you should however if you also plan to read the comics is a bit different

I honestly say yes but I’m not even done it and chances are I won’t watch it for another 3 months however I do recommend it and it’s quite wonderful with acting and such

Also tell me your opinion on Shane if you do watch it
